RAW Jetty fishing: I made one simple change and caught a limit

21 on 22 20 and a quarter I admire that beautiful fish right there I mean I do understand why they got to go back they're all breeders that's what they're here to do right now is spawn those winds are pretty high today a lot stronger than they were yesterday all right we got to try to find the tackle tray that's got all of our stuff in it no okay there it is leader Line's going to be uh 20 lb test monofilament today we ran out of the 30 lb stuff that was given to us by a a Japan company and uh it's pretty good stuff used it with good results but I do think the 20 lb is going to be able to do just the same it's just a uh inferior line it hazes over really fast this stuff does right here the competitor brand tended to last a little bit longer if y'all are interested in all those types of things like the brands and whatnot I don't want this to be an infomercial just go down into my video description below and y'all will be able to see what it was that I was using if you go into the video description all right that bad boy is seated setup that we are using today 9 ft long surf rck two-piece medium power very Stout being that it's a surf rod so tons of backbone I shouldn't have any issues whatsoever if we do catch a decent sized fish being able to flip him up here on top of the Rocks we got a 6000 series spinning reel you got to understand that this isn't what I would normally use it would be the 4,000 series spinning reel just out of commission right now all right I bought a new Jetty cork cuz my other one is uh it's seen better days look at that fella and so we got a brand new one we'll save that one as a spare I can't tell y'all how much I recommend bringing a bucket out just to keep your trash keep your stuff organized keep your trash in there you see trash around you pick that stuff up helps out the environment the birds the wildlife mainly M I think I need to change that water before I even start looks pretty cloudy that's just because some of the Shrimp start to die off and the water gets bad so dump all this stuff out and we'll get some cleaner water in there [Music] yeah despite the high winds the water's a little bit cleaner than usual man we got a lot of dead shrimp one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 man yeah that's a lot of them all right we got to hurry up and use those fellas let's get another bucket of water though man the winds are 15 knots out of the southeast today the air pressure is really low so that kind of helps us us out all right all right there we go come on I don't got any head shakes I'm not too sure what that's going to be small fell whatever it is yeah tiny little speckle trout oh wait no that's a sand trout big guy for a sand trout I prefer not to keep these guys though someone said that sand trout are really great tasting it just depends on your pallet what you prefer it's not that I'm being a SN about these fellas I just don't like the taste of them some people love to eat caviar you know uh I'm not going to criticize them because they like CRA caviar and I don't there a horrible analogy I just don't prefer the uh taste the sand trout that's all all right man I hope we don't uh have a massive School of those fellas out there that's what happened to us whenever I came out with my Dad we did exceptionally well on Friday and then Saturday when we came out it was just nothing but sand trout see if we can I'm going to kind of get away from this area over there come a little bit towards this side boy those winds they are kicking dang second cast let's see uh what we can make happen there we are getting taken under that's got to be sand trout yeah yeah he's got no weight thank goodness I got my shrimp back took it under quick if we run out of shrimp we may have to throw the cast inet for some mullet all right trying to get further and further away from the jetty just feeling the water out start catching sand trout a little closer end then try casting a little bit further maybe we find a different species out there maybe we don't doesn't hurt to try feels like another sand trout oh no is that a blue fish yeah that's a blue fish that's one of our migratory species that comes through on the East Coast oh thank you for getting yourself off on the East Coast these guys get massive right here I'm going to put them back inside the water they're very hearty I just wanted to let y'all get a get a look at him they've got some crazy crazy teeth on them and boy oh boy I saw one that was you know well over 28 in bit one of my friends when he was trying to get them off the hook yeah just a a gnarly fish whenever they get to be [Music] big get another shrimp on and well I guess we're going to feed the uh the blue fish stocks how's it going what's going on nice not much man slow day is yeah how long you been out here uh for about an hour okay it's just a a bunch of sand trout uhhuh I've seen lady uhoh I just went down down here oh did you yesterday was really good really yeah well this one's got some weight never mind he started out fighting pretty good all right all right man good luck same to you thanks wow man sand trout all right buddy you're lucky day dude that's sand trout number three bro you're going to end up inside those rocks you keep doing that all right sand trout number three we're really going to run out of shrimp here soon and yeah um probably going to have to go after some mullet so don't be surprised if you see that soon before we even are able to catch any kind of game fish I've been fishing around 11t deep it's not working out for me so I'm going to switch it we're going to reduce it in size to probably 10 ft and then we'll keep going I know it doesn't seem like much whenever you're doing something like that but man I like to think of those fish as being super darn lazy and they're like nope that's just Out Of Reach I don't want to go after it cuz sometimes that's what it seems you're not getting a bite or anything like that and then you change it by a couple of feet or so and you end up starting to smash them fish I just know that if you keep doing the same thing over and over again you're probably going to go home skunked and so you got to be willing to change change your depth change the distance that you're fishing I've been fishing super far out because that's what was uh producing yesterday and I'm very reluctant to fish closer in with a a very long leader line because what ends up happening is that line is so darn long it hits the Rocks right here at the drop and then we end up getting snagged it's not good get this shrimp on send them out we're going to fish pretty far because I'm going to estimate us being at 10 10 ft now that's still too deep to fish close to the Rocks I mean you can do it but you probably going to get snagged here we go 10t lader all right shrimp hook us up there we go look at that that could be sheer coincidence but man I'm telling you what if that's going to be a trout I'm sold I am super glad that I decided to change my dep it looks like it's going to be a trout gosh yeah that's a trout first Keeper of the day nice healthy keeper speckle trout nice fat healthy speckle Shrout right here bro stop spinning you know what I mean he may not make it he's going to be very close let's get our board wet just in case he's not a keeper oh yeah we're in there baby 15 and a half without a pinch tail yes going to brain spike him really quick we'll end his misery and then here we go yeah he's dead quickly slice his throat and then we'll get him inside that water to bleed him out [Music] so where were we um it being sheer coincidence if we hook into a another trout and we catch our limit really quick I mean it still could be coincidence you know a school may be rolling through right now and it's like had I waited just a little bit longer who knows does give me confidence though being able to catch that first keeper after bringing in multiple sand trout multiple Blue Fish yeah feels good there we go yeah oh nice how many you got now two yeah minutes I know right get a limit in 10 minutes that's another keeper you need help no I got it thank you yeah that us a nice 17 probably close to 18 kind of cool cuz we just cleaned that other fish oh shoot come on Mark just cleaned the other fish just in time for this one I don't think I'm going to uh spend too much time on this guy the bite has really turned on we got two keepers buddy over here's got two keepers right down from us come on buddy official measurement 17 we will brain spike him and then um bleed him out though try to hurry up and do that as fast as we can and get right back out there here we go ah thank you buddy let's hurry up get right back out there here we are okay I think something's playing with it right now yeah I can feel the bite it's it's probably a little bit smaller than what we just had cuz the bigger one they'll just take it under immediately and these smaller guys they well they don't have no bottom end yeah we'll check to see if he's going to be a keeper anyways I mean he's if he is he's going to be right there good hook set so bro oh my gosh buddy no 14 in let's dump them on this side all right get right back out there I need to check the time to see that bite started about 20 minutes ago wow 12:00 on our first day it started at around 10:00 second day 11: now today 12 it's all to do with the tides that's what controls they're feeding that aggressive behavior all right we just got hit I'm over here trying to play around with my camera wondering why it won't start that's yeah that's why I move but over this the speckle trout are biting now yeah there we are got hit yeah he's too small come here buddy I like my odds though looks like we got about 20 20 or less inside the Bait Bucket and we just need one more fish there we go Bo he went running this is going to be a bigger one that guy just kept running with it well there's some big ones man this is one of the fat healthy ones a he's too big going to be way too big dang it come on please be under 20 21 on 22 20 and a quarter oh no yeah he's 20 and a quarter man oh man look at that we this is where I just look at that it doesn't get closer than that no this time of the year a lot of 21 22 Yeah too big that was a great fight from this fella try to hurry up and get him back out there dude come on there we go there we go I admire that beautiful fish right there I mean I do understand why they got to go back they're all breeders that's what they're here to do right now is spawn this kind of hurts your heart to see a beautiful fish like that go back back but rules are rules let's get another one on we're going to have to change out that hook I think I bent it trying to get it out of the mouth yeah I look like a question mark hook oh thank you all right there 15 yeah 15 and a quarter they got to be 15 very great day of fishing right there everything just came together all in a matter of minutes and yeah you just got to be ready to cast out there been a great day fish are still biting so what I'm going to do is probably start up another video and see
