today we rank the top six quarterbacks of the 2024 NFL draft as you all know we've already posted about 10 to 15 to 20 minute videos on every single one of these players but Hayden as we always say that doesn't necessarily mean rankings we want to Stack the board and once again I have no idea what your top six is going to be and vice versa I just wanted to mention uh people were grading the previous big boards and nobody had a better top 100 than me back in 2020 so it's not just you and your mock draft I know a little bit of something too with the big board and couple things that stuck out going back and looking at that people were scared to rank Jaylen Herz where the expected value would be with quarterbacks everyone said day two day two day two he has these flaws yeah he had some flaws but if he hits guess what you're gonna be one of the highest paid players in the league same thing with Justin Herbert he had some flaws consensus rankings he's like the 20th overall player I had him as my the quarterback three but top five player and then if he hits guess what his value is tremendous because he plays the position so there are going to be some players in this video we have some flaws for I'm going to have higher grades on them than the consensus because when these guys hit they actually hit when your Center hits nobody even cares right they they add wins uh they add yards they add points to any other team more than any other position and they're cheap compared to the veterans yeah so look we we see hedging out there of oh I see why a team would take him in the top five but I rank him as my 28th overall player so let's kind of have that conversation here and again we're going to go from six to one to me these are actually the only six quarterbacks that I've watched sure I watched Spencer Rattler when watching Xavier Legette you can keep going on and on down the list uh but these are the six I feel most comfortable about so Hayden who is your sixth ranked quarterback in the 2024 NFL draft Michael penck out of Washington uh the Pro Day Results made me think I wanted to rank him even higher I considered it but I still have a mid round two grade with him the problems I have him obviously it's the age it's the injury history but I think that his environment was better than basically anyone's like him and Jaden Daniels had basically perfect environments three wide receivers that'll go top 100 uh left tackle now his offensive coordinator uh is coaching Alabama he the the quarterback's coach is over in Seattle the whole thing was basically perfect uh for Michael penck I think that he can throw the ball with a lot of velocity I think people are kind of Mis characterizing that as him being accurate I think he has below average accuracy especially within like 15 yards of the line of scrimmage and as much as we love downfield arm strength there's really not that many plays especially in the the era of two high shells where that trait's not going to come uh into play and then for as like as few sacks as he's taking I'm not sure if you're actually creating that much with Michael pennick so I would love to see him in a Bruce arens offense come in there let's let's have have him on a will Levis run that we saw with the Tennessee Titans late last year but I don't think that he's going to be a starting quarterback long term just because the the there's a lack of creativity and I think there's a lack of accuracy and that's pretty much a no-o for me I had a real debate even right up to recording this of what my quarterback three and four was going to be and what my quarterback five- six was going to be I ended up with Michael Pennock as my fifth quarterback in this class 6'2 216 lbs 4 5640 10 yard split I mean 94% Alver 10 foot5 inch brawl jump I mean Hayden we basically had to redo our Michael pinnick video after his prod day because of the athleticism that he showed even after two ACLS and other injuries on on top of it this might sound dumb but I just get this feeling that there's something different with Michael pinnick that like NFL coaches are kind of gravitating to at this point like it's that obvious downfield aggressive arm that you're talking about and in fact in this Ryan offense which is just magnificent at the college level compared to what the top quarterbacks had to deal with um he goes from one to two to three to four from like front side to Backside at times no I mean at times yeah I'll give you at times well there are other quarterbacks who never did that right you know massive hands with ball manipulation that allows him to I think get like creative with his passes never take sacks I mean never took a sack just 7.6% of his pressures turned into sacks which is fourth best Mark in all of college football now I talked about the athleticism am I sold on his Mobility uh actually coming into practice no I'm not or his success versus pressure no I'm not and did I worry about what Michigan did in the national championship game where they like took away the downfield stuff and kind of forced him to work underneath and that led to lack luster results 100% but again I'm just kind of pulled towards the Michael penck in a good situation could turn into a very enjoyable watch every single Sunday yeah it's a fantastic quarterback six like compared to like the Desmond Ritter Matt carral types Sam how same thing I think that Michael penx has a better chance than that tier which we're typically kind of accustomed to in this range just yeah the facing pressure stuff just because everyone props up this this pressure to sack ratio and the lack of sacks which is awesome love that but when he was under pressure his first down rate was 23% so I think we always have this view of what happens negatively when you're under pressure well I think it's just as important what happens positively when you're in these bad environments and he did nothing with them and I think the matchup advantages that his offense presented at Washington he's not g to have at the NFL level I mean Washington offense was completely legendary uh versus like the Pack 12 opponents yeah I'm 16th of 24 in this draft class in completion percentage Under Pressure so it kind of goes to what you're talking about as Under Pressure what positively does happen other than just avoiding the sacks I will say against man coverage a 17 yard average at the Target down the field despite having the shortest time to throw top seven versus man you know right 2.7 seconds um again the athleticism is interesting because I think some people might view it as like untapped potential putting it into practice is the big question because he had a 7% scramble rate versus Man coverage this past season which is against man we see all these mobile quarterbacks in the league utilizing their legs and he actually took more sacks this past season than he had scrambles 12 versus 10 so I don't necessarily want to factor in athleticism as a part of his profile but again let's say he does go to one of these teams because he's not gonna be drafting the top 10 most likely right so one of these teams that does have a really good situation and he is kept clean and they do have downfield wide receivers or ones that he can go to when there is trouble um yeah we get electricity in a passing game yeah I think he can get hot as a passer and have a couple 300 yard games CU throwing bombs down the field but interesting thing that you brought up there is his time to throw was really quick but he was throwing the ball aggressively that that's typically a profile that I like I I love Michael penick's aggressiveness tied with that arm strength but those two in combinations kind of the TU of stuff where it's like I know where I'm going before the snap launching that yeah and like I'm like how much credit do I want to give Michael penx for that especially when you're watching like the romad dun clips of him just Mossing everybody yeah the the Ryan grub offense did an exceptional job of blending College style openness with n NL motions and stacking and progression reading at times and all that type of stuff so it is no shock at all that he is calling plays with Seattle Seahawks next he's gonna be good yeah he's GNA be very I'm very excited for okay so since your quarterback six is Michael penck that means mine is B knck coming out of Oregon and I want to lead with exactly what you said this year's quarterback six is so much better than the Ryan Finley the will Greers The James Morgans of the world like rarely are quarterbacks now taken in the second round you know we did see it with Will Levis last year but there's a lot of like the Garrett Gilbert draft classes of the world where like he's mentioned as oh someone might take a shot or Tom Savage in the second round and they just fall and fall and fall Willis too right um legitimately if these guys don't go in the first round in B Nicks and Michael pinnick they should absolutely be second round picks and they're very worthy of that and look this offense that Bo Nicks played in was quite simple I thought you know he had the second average depth of throw 6.8 yards he had the highest completion percentage 77.3% um just 11% of his attempts were 20 plus yards down the field um that's 46 out of 52 qualified passers in this year's college football but in those moments where he did have to elevate beyond the simple offense the completion percentage offense I was really taken a back like I was impressed in the those moments cuz he did have the ability to lift his teammates in those situations so again he didn't throw down Feud a lot but when he did he had a high completion percentage when he didn't throw in the intermediate area a lot when he did it still was very good and while his time to throw was very short at 2.44 seconds when he was forced to hold on to the football and throw on the Run he was exceptional at that so again not holding the offense against him but he was in an easy situation right but still elevated it when he was called upon I think that's part of the reason why I'm so much higher on bonck then consensus he's still my quarterback five but I have a mid- round one grade on him is because people just look at oh he threw a lot of screens and rpos which he did definitely did and then people said he's not going to be able to do that in the NFL well if you remove his screens and his rpos he only had the first in PFF passing grade number one in turnover worthy play rate second in EPA second in success rate on those like real throws a lot of them were kind of like taking the checkdowns and stuff but if you look at some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL Patrick Mahomes Joe Bro those types their a Dos roughly pretty low and just B Knicks in in general last year 97th percentile EPA per play 93rd percentile uh passing EPA 63rd percentile rushing EPA and he also avoids sacks part of the reason is because the same argument I made against Michael pennx the environment was very good around him but I think for an older player that's as experienced as he is I think you're GNA get like he can read progressions and he's smart and he's a very mature and like those type of things but I think that he has a little bit more dog and playmaking ability than I think a lot of the people he's comped to like the Derek Carrs and Andy Dalton I think that there's a chance if everything hits that he can do some things like Dak Prescott can do that's if everything goes completely right but I do think that there is a little bit more upside than what people are expecting just because he seems like he's just an in-pocket quarterback but I thought him outside the pocket there's a couple plays where I thought he would either scramble around and make a throw or actually Scramble for a first down um so I think like an Andy Dalton type of career for B Knicks uh is definitely not ruling out Tony Romo is someone that stood out to me because when watching B knck it felt like he was almost even more comfortable throwing while on the Move than just as like a standard dropback passer uh the age thing does stick out and this is the exact same conversation that we can package with Michael pennick too because he's 24 years old I've made the joke that I literally think that bonick took over for Cam Newton at Auburn that's how long he's been in college football and if you go back and look at his Auburn numbers they were quite poor and quite pad and then in these last two years really for both these quarterbacks and for different reasons you know the co season you had injuries so on and so forth like this is when they clicked right and so we do talk about ceilings and I think ceiling at times can be viewed as athleticism seeing at times can be when you have an athletic quarterback then it's the processing it's the passing aspect seeing is also tied to how good your surrounding cast can be and the play caller and the pieces and the offensive line and so on and so forth but I kind of do feel like bonck is a bit maxed out at this point from just like a traits standpoint but I uh again among rarely do you feel this good about a quarterback five or six and I feel really good about bonck he is go and watch our video on him because he is not what you remember in the SEC at all right even if he is somewhat maxed out which I do agree he is at least coming off a 97th percentile EPA per play college or among drafted quarterbacks so I think people are a little underestimating just exactly what he did at Oregon 95 total touchdowns in his last two years with and just five turnover worthy plays this entire last season which is totally nuts Stu I've heard of worse i' okay so if we've already gone through each of our quarterback sixes and quarterback fives now is where the real conversation begins yes it does Hayden who is your quarterback for in the 2024 NFL draft it's Jaden Daniels who I think is a really fun high seiling Prospect uh I think you can comp him to like what we had with RG3 before he was injured he's coming off of one of the best all-time College seasons ever it's basically only trailed Joe burrow in total EPA his Supporting Cast was completely legendary and I think that leaves me with a couple CLE question marks there were a lot of throws and a lot of production that he had where Brian Thomas and Malik neighbors were just wide open on his first read way down the field for chunk gains and then there's also these production where he's scrambling around like a madman and I'm just a little bit nervous that he doesn't have like the wiggle and the the exact creativity that like someone like Lamar Jackson has had um and I get a little bit nervous because he is so thin and because he's so old I'm not expecting him to like get much bigger at this point so really appreciated what he did on tape at LSU I just think I have some translation issues super accurate but uh I worry about him kind of like the scrambling ability kind of holding up at the next level so I would still draft him very high but I just kind of prefer some of the the pocket passers uh a little bit ahead of them Jaden Danel is also my quarterback for 6 foot three 210 pounds and as you outlined he is so much fun to watch I mean how upset can you get when a quarterback attacks downfield and runs for explosive gains on like a ridiculous level right I just got nervous for how much ball he has played he still has concerning red flags you know I mean he's played back with BR auk at Arizona State and some of the red flags that he brought to the table this year were similar to like Anthony Richardson at Florida who played like three quarters of a season and that's about it um again I'll run through those red flags just 17% of his throws beyond the line of scrimmage over the middle of the field last season over the last two seasons I should say uh this can be improved because I actually seen him do it and I do wonder if it's just like the structure of the offense because it was very Eagles esque in my opinion with great outside guys are one you can move into the slot and hey we're going to attack outside the numbers when the numbers present themselves in the Box um only 50.6% of his pressure dropbacks resulted in a pass attempt ranking 193rd out of 19 6 qualifying quarterback since 2019 that's from the great Nate ti so like I get nervous about his reaction and his plan under pressure now some of you can say well in those situations he scrambled for chunk gains and explosive play 40 50 60 yarders oh yeah totally agree but I will add that the man cannot take a normal hit like he is both the roadrunner and Wy coyote he's fast he's vasive he will run directly into a tunnel entrance that he's painted on a side of a er uh and doesn't protect his body all that much so there's more and more stuff that I'm sure we'll get into here but again he's played so much ball that I can't say ah with more reps right this will change uh it's just kind of I think who he is right now and I think maybe the extravagant explosives will lessen because NFL is difficult and the red flags might be a bit more exaggerated once we get to tighter spaces to yeah I think that's totally fair just a paint like the positive picture because I think both you and I think that there is a chance that Jay Daniels could go on quite the run just because he is such a great athlete and his accuracy was very good on uh throws 15 plus air yards without pressure just in the pocket you're delivering a throw Jaden Daniels 86% catchable ball rate by far the best in the class like that's up there with what CJ Stroud was doing but that's without pressure and that's also with Brian Thomas and the league neighbors who were constantly wide open so yeah it's it's this hard thing like was he not throwing the ball over in the middle because Malik neighbors would just run a slot fade and be wide open then why would you even bother there there were occasions where I did see him work over the Middle Field like I broke this down with Colt That Old Miss game it's an in-game thing where early on he turned down an inside breing route that could have gone for you know 28 yards for an eight- yard run but then later on did hit a somewhat similar concept again Anthony Richardson had those same concerns right but that was a guy who had barely played versus a dude now who's in his what fifth season of college football fourth season of college football yeah there's nothing that's telling me this because Jaden Daniels has this he's not going to be able to throw over the middle I actually think that he throws with touch and he has I would say average maybe slightly below average arm strength kind of right there doesn't really move the needle either way can throw the ball deep downfield because he does play with a lot of touch so this is just a question mark on how much this is going to translate and then historically these older prospects that go round one just struggle obviously the primary except was Joe bur in this same exact system but I think breaking ties I want to go with the younger guys and project forward not just grade them off of what their tape was last year because I thought Jaden Daniel's tape was just like so so sick uh based off the college and correct me if I'm wrong I don't think he's as old as bonck and Michael pinnix I think he's 18 months older or something than Caleb Williams if I'm not mistaken but it's just how much ball he has played yeah that these questions still remain and so again the more and more you do play to me the more and more you show who you are question for you look anyone who actually watches and goes in this includes all of you to me has a legitimate opinion on draft prospects does it concern you at all for us to have him as our quarterback four when dudes that have played in the league for a very long time and people that we respect their opinion of have him as the quarterback to Locked In no matter what did they rank number one in the 2020 Big Board no I'm joking uh yeah I mean I can see the the pros argument I just think that it's easy to say he was the best quarterback last year off the tape and not how much that's translating and how much projection you can actually do with that and there's there might be a little survivorship bias on like what type of quarterbacks those were and what type of quarterbacks they're looking for that are somewhat similar to them or have the trait that they didn't have so yeah I still have Js an early round one grade I would draft him in the top 10 for sure because the quarterbacks are worth the upside versus the other positions just stacking the board I have them as my quarterback four but in the previous draft class I would have went stad Richardson Jaden Daniels and then Bryce and I would take I would have taken Bryce in the top 10 still just we're we're nitpicking here it's a it's a good class it's a good good time to have these like tough conversations my number one thing is just this plan under pressure and again I understand that a lot of those pressures could lead to ridiculous long gains in college football but it seems to be like one track mind when that type of stuff happens rather than the game slowing down down a bit and now we're going to choose the correct path even though there could be multiple paths okay now your quarterback three JJ McCarthy I think he's going to be really good uh it's G to take some time it's G to take some projection there is a bust rate just because we haven't seen him with the volume but over the entire course of the season in pressure moments in tougher moments on Third and six uh I thought he constantly delivered talking about 93rd percentile EPA per play 95th percentile quarterback rating that was as a 20-year-old so obviously the lack of sample size is an issue if you're going by game but I had enough tape to kind of reach this conclusion there were a lot of opportunities for him in high pressure situations uh led the class on Third and six plus with 11 yards per attempt he was just really good at that I think that at the same time for how good he is kind of throwing in the pocket in these NFL style reps dig routes Crossing routes over the middle play action under Center those type of things which you don't see from the other quarterbacks right I also think that he's a pretty good athlete I saw them times quarterback design runs I saw times uh in high leverage situations where he would scramble around he's not going to light the world on fire but there's this kind of this bar that you have to at least be this athletic I think JJ McCarthy definitely clears that bar and I think we're under appreciating what his ceiling could be it's just going to take some time I think he need to get bigger I think there's some mechanical issues that made his accuracy kind of go up and down a little bit but I think he's got the right tools in the age where you think that that can kind of improve over time I need him to get bigger so I don't think it's going to be a good take as a rookie but I think in a couple years down the line I think that JJ McCarthy has all the tools to be a top 10 NFL quarterback six two and a half 219 pounds again some of those athletic measurements 91st perti three cone 72nd percentile shuttle JJ mcarthy is also my quarterback three that is not a surpris anyone and I mean this sounds like a vanilla take but it's really important when you're watching games on Sundays he executes the offense at a really high level you know and what the offense was at Michigan was a lot of situations of run run and then in third and five plus passing situations it's JJ McCarthy time and JJ McCarthy time consistently succeeded in those environments so look we outlined it in his individual video like 14% of his pass attempts were in fourth quarters I will say in third and seven plus situations um he did have the exact same number of pass attempts last season as Caleb Williams did and Jaden danels only had 39 of those JJ McCarthy had 58 of them right so he was asked more often in pure passing situations to carry his team than Jane Daniels who who we just ranked the ceiling comment the c word is is a difficult one to me his ceiling is very much tied to the situation that he is in um in terms of how much EPA he's going to accumulate uh how how good the offense can be that he will execute based on the play caller and the pieces around him and the offensive line that he's tied to more so than the top two quarterbacks on this list right I think the ceiling is is the ceiling trying to beat Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes that's a different type of ceiling we're talking about match them throw for throw series for series I think that can get a bit difficult is the ceiling trying to compete with Dak Prescott and Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence and those type of guys in the top 10 I think that there's nothing that those guys do in particular that JJ McCarthy can't do I think that his arm strength is a littleit I think Trevor a much better Prospect than of course yeah of course but there's nothing like that like is gonna prevent JJ McCarthy from somewhat being in that tier if things go properly the difference is the sample size and Trevor Lawrence was better in college obviously um but I think that everyone just pretends that he's only gonna be Andy Dalton like I don't know I I don't I don't think that's to be honest even if he is Brock pie I think he is still worth a top 10 pick in the NFL draft right right I would love to see him on the Vikings I think he'd be I think he'd be a absolute cook it it it does twist my brain a little bit to let the people in you are somewhat anti- Brock and have been from the start I am a brock pretty guy um because I think he has elevated that offense more so than previous quarterbacks had sure I agree um if JJ is Brock which I think there's a decent chance of that to me that is a valuable player on NFL roster because he is throwing it to where the play caller wants to be does elevate the offense in certain moments but it's not hey I'm going to put this entire drive on my back once per game so I can win this contest for my team I think JJ McCarthy is better in the pocket uh and I think that his athletic traits are a little bit better as well and I think there's some panicky to Brock p on occasion um but that offense that that EPA is cooking and right it's partially because of Brock py so I think that JJ McCarthy has just better tools than Brock pie does a little bit bigger he's a five star IMG Academy like this is not like some fluky like guy coming in here like this guy was supposed to be really good and at every single point he's been very good so uh there was enough tape for me to watch it took a long time to get there but there was enough tape for me to watch and be like I see some really nice traits out of JJ McCarthy yeah once again we talked about in his isolated video he might have the best third and five plus situations and throws versus any quarterback in this class I believe the people out there now call them green flags and red flags it's fascinating that his red flags and green flags are the opposite the inverse of what Jaden Daniels are because again we obsess over the middle of the field because some of the best offenses in the league utilize that area and they're the most efficient passes and it's so easy to see him you know timing under Center deep play action hey let's throw it to this tight window over the Middlefield because we trust our guy's going to be there yep but then he threw just you know 16% of his passes outside the numbers to the left 19% of the passes outside the numbers to the right I would say those are also the weakest areas especially down the field that he throws the football to right whereas again what we just had the conversation with Jaden Daniels um it's the it's the opposite of that and so again it's I just feel more comfortable in the day and this is why I ranked him over Jaden Daniels of hey let's say they are both in average situations who was going to have more just consistent success on a drivein drive out basis game in game out basis and for some reason my mind just went back to how JJ McCarthy is just going to execute what is out there versus the red flags that I got in the same situation with j I think we see it pretty similar and I think we are a little bit higher than most people on them so let's see what happens okay well I think we're going to be locked up again with our quarterback two who is it it it's Drake May um I don't have him in the same tier as uh Caleb Williams I actually have him like in a very similar te tier to uh Anthony Richardson from last year in that there are some accuracy issues there maybe some mechanical issues but the production was very good in Drake May uh two seasons ago when he had uh the Air Raid Offense with Josh DS he can make all the throws with more experience and with better mechanics but I think that the thing that just I could not put him in that same tier as Caleb is just too many Miss throws just really too many Miss throws I thought his decision- making was a little bit up and down as well but at the same time he's so young he does have the high ceiling tools and I'm trying to go compete with that ceiling that you were talking about with JJ McCarthy and I think that he actually has the tools to get there so it's not going to be layup I also think that with Drake Drake may I think it's going to take some time for him to to get this thing fully ironed out I don't think that he has quite the same tools as Josh Allen in terms of arm strength and Ridiculousness as an athlete but he scrambled a ton and when he decides to take off his first down rate is really high so it's this combination of actually being able to do it and knowing when to do it and Drake may definitely has that it's gonna take some time and I think that's totally totally okay yeah I think he was what second in EPA with the scrambles this past season like he's an awesome comes from three older brothers who were fantastic athletes in their own right he's the one that is playing football big athletic live arm and especially even off balance and again full disclosure got to sit down with him during Super Bowl week watched one of his games against Syracuse with him and in that was able to hear about how well he is at diagnosing where pressures and blitzes and things are coming from and so he's drifting away from them and finding despite having a bad offensive line maybe a pocket of space where he can throw from and delivering a ball um he made protection checks at the line of scrimmage and so I've seen the drifting thing being termed as a negative and maybe but going through his process with him it was very sound and the movement it was deliberate this offense and this situation that he was in this past season was just brutal like like real bad that to me there were no pass catchers that we will see other than devontes Walker who sounded like he just ran nine routes over and over and over again and then obviously an offensive coordinator change and just to put that in perspective he had 76 passes this past season dropbacks on Third and seven plus situations again comparison Jane danels had 39 and in fact he almost had as many third and 11 plus situations that Jane Daniels had as third and seven and sure first and second down success rate does that play into third and 11 situations yes I am totally content with banking on these traits coming together like they did during his one his first starting season in college football and that matching once we get to the NFL as as that true sophomore season he led college football in total EPA hard to do being that young and then but at the same time this year there's the drift could be positive he's he's moving his feet and all that type of stuff but then I also thought he ran into pressure PFF for example said that 26% of the pressure was because of Drake May which was one of the worst in the power five so I that's a red flag yes but if if he was a 23y old it would be like okay this is not gonna not he's gonna get better and better he has not played that much football because it's been two years so I think that it's unfair to kind of compare him to Jaden Daniels and Michael penck and B Knicks because he just so much more experien so I want to shoot for the fences with Drake May a little bit kind of a boom bus profile um but I think even with that I would still take him second overall the accuracy issues what you just outlined with another two or three years of college football would we be seeing those maybe but less likely and that's the point that we got to with Jane Daniels bonick and Michael pinnick where their final season is what they're being graded on versus this final season with Drake may I will say just anecdotally with the pressures that he is being responsible for obviously UNCC ran a bunch of empty situations or just one single back and so when he'd get a free rusher on this side that he's drifting away from that also would mean that his Right Guard or right tackle would be losing at the same time so it looks like he's drifting into these but it's almost like an unwinable situation that to me he actually does a really good job of buying that extra millisecond of of time because he knows he can throw from an unbalanced base and still uncork some that he's willing to look imperfect in his dropback in order to hopefully have some success and just quickly on the accuracy stuff no doubt he sprayed stuff I am not saying he didn't but I think he would almost have to be like the least accurate quarterback in the NFL for all of these concerns that people are bringing up about his accuracy for them to prevent him from being a starting quarterback in the NFL there were some shockingly bad throws so I don't want to discredit that but I'm with you I think that it might be a little bit overblown there I think there was sometimes pre- snap where the the offense just did not look coordinated and I don't I don't know if that's Drake May the offensive coordinator so that's a little bit of kind of projection But ultimately young quarterbacks that that lead college football and EPA good bucket to be in so let's let's go see what happens he's also really athletic and an awesome Scrambler on top of it yeah okay uh that means our number one quarterback is Caleb Williams uh this guy's pretty good like to me Hayden you could take away the Highlight Reel off balance or scrambled runs that gain yardage all all the magical oneof one style of plays and if you just took like a clip a reel of his in Pocket working inside of structure patience and timing and Rhythm yeah I think people would be shocked and Amazed by how good he is in that situation and then we all know the Highlight re stuff on top of that where he turns nothing into something 054 EPA play on the classic timing round Slants comebacks curls digs outs from inside the pocket so I'm I'm with you he's he just absolutely dices them up uh people think that he's not uh he's too aggressive at times I saw so many times where pre- snap he would see uh the the coverage and immediately be on the back foot and throw the ball uh to allow for some yards after the catch and get eight yards instead of hunting for the splash play but it really is the magic that separates him that gives him that really worldclass ceiling he's not as big as Patrick Mahomes and Josh Josh Allen so I think that's asking too much but compared to like Kyler Murray and those type of guys who have tons of ceiling I think that Caleb Williams play from inside the pocket is unmatched I think his play inside the pocket is Lighty years better than everyone else in this class and then he also has the magic uh sauce there so I think it's gonna be a while for uh an another quarterback prospect to be as good as Caleb Williams uh I think that he just offers a little bit more than what Joe burrow and Trevor Lawrence did coming out um so I think that he's going to be a fantastic player immediately good spot to go in it's it's the best Prospect I've seen I think that you said in our Caleb Williams video best since Andrew Luck love how he aggressively drives off that back foot when he does get Edge pressure to climb the pocket and then again he resets and then fires it but then on top of he has maybe one of the top five unique play Styles too with again you can see that he grew up watching Aaron Rogers you can see in these last few years that he's seen Patrick Mahomes take it over and that is a very difficult style to replicate but it's it's the style that everything is chaos around you yet somehow you still understand spacing and timing and the game is slowing down and almost like a drifting floating where I'm gonna hold on to it into the last possible moment and still not be balanced but still be able to get yeah Precision velocity on all these throws and hit areas of the field that you don't think I can after four and a half seconds where he does hold on the football at times longer than anyone else that we've ever seen in this draft class and I I don't want to make this seem like he's always throwing platform there are so many throws where his base is going perfectly from left to right and throwing a dart there I think one of the reasons why uh like maybe his most underrated trait is just his strength he's so dense there are so many sacks where an edge rusher puts a big arm on him and he can just shed those off when he actually is scrambling he's not Jaden Daniels or Drake may but he's he's right underneath that especially at the goal line especially at the first down marker he will lower his shoulder drive with his legs he's super super strong so uh very unique guy um I think he's going to completely shred it out there and uh I'm just really bummed that USC was not able to make a run at this it's what a waste um okay yeah it's pretty pretty brutal for you my goodness okay this is how I tier them okay I have Caleb Williams in a tier of his own then I actually have Drake May in a tier of his own then I have JJ McCarthy and Jane Daniels in their own tier and that's kind of again green flags red flags depending on what your flavor and taste is and then after that I have uh Michael penx then bonck and want toate five and six this year much better than will Greers and the Ryan Finley of the world how would you te them uh Caleb by himself I don't think it's even close uh I would put Drake Daniels and JJ uh right in their own tier which are high draft picks top 10 guys take a risk and then I have B Knicks in his own tier I think he's going to be very functional as a St I think we're under underestimating some of his athletic traits and I think Michael penck just with the injury risk and I think that his accuracy wasn't on par with B Knicks and just in providing me with enough creativity uh even compared to Bone Nick so uh good class I would still I want to see all six of these guys play in the league there are other times like next year when we do this show probably the quarterback four five and six we probably don't want to see in the NFL so I don't want to make this SC like we're always going to be optimistic on this channel this is a very unique class where the wide receivers are good and the quarterbacks are good and those are the two positions we primarily cover so uh great classes for those too yeah again I think I said this in the bonck video if Sam Howell got a full season as a starter with how rocky his performances are like bonick should get that you know um I think Michael pennick maybe should get that too but yeah it's it's a different class than normal at this position that means you need all need to go and check out all the prospect profiles that we have down below more of you that hits that that subscribe button the more Great Piece of content we get to make uh we all wide receivers we're getting to all the running backs we've done the quarterbacks already it's loaded just start Play and then watch for three hours and we'll be live on day one of the NFL draft so come back check us out uh Cole McCoy Jake Ruden and the nuts two uh we're going to be breaking down all the first round picks we'll be up for like five hours so come check us out all right that does it for weaves for Hayden I'm Josh up the Vel we'll talk to youall soon see you oh [Music]
