Ranking EVERY Six Flags Park (Except Mexico)

hello everyone it's steamboat avenue i'm eric across four road trips starting in december 2021 and ending in july 2022 i went to every six flags park except for mexico the moment i knew i was going on these trips i knew i was going to have to rank those parks at some point so here it is a ranking of every six flags park [Music] before we begin i encourage you to subscribe to the channel so you know when new theme park content comes out and before we can tackle this ranking i have a few caveats first of all as i mentioned six flags mexico is the one i've not been to so i'll be ranking 14 of the 15 parks now one very important thing to note here is that this is based on my experiences i had one day at most of these parks some were lucky some were unlucky and i'll make note of that in the ranking regarding the criteria for this ranking you should know that about 60 of the park quality for me is based on the rides the rise of the majority of it for me because that's what i go to a park for more than anything else the other 40 is things such as appearance atmosphere operations layout and other things that go into the overall experience of a park i'll also point out i'm not including the water parks in this list it's based on the dry parks only as i did not really go to the water parks on this trip and the final thing to note i enjoy the vast majority of these parks and the only reason i'm going to complain i have criticisms for a lot of them is because i want to be able to justify each ranking with that out of the way let's get into this number 14 is the great escape this is one i think most probably put at number 13 or maybe higher but i did not love this park let's start with the rides and the best things about it so adirondack outlaw is their booster flat ride and it's my favorite ride in the park you get a great view at the top and through the cycle you get very disorienting intense fun and for comet the best roller coaster in the park you get great air time and a fun wooden coaster with a very long ride after this the ride lineup really thins out the next best ride was sasquatch which is probably one of the weakest sns drop towers have done and then they didn't have a whole lot else that really stood out to me did it have two pretty bad roller coasters canyon blaster is the worst era mine train because it doesn't rely on the terrain due to being relocated and it's also pretty rough and slow and then stephen demon is a bad aerolooper because it's a very weak layout and is also very rough in its second half especially now one important thing that is good about the park is the theming the storybook and ghost town areas are solid and i enjoy the forested setting of the park and the surrounding mountains are beautiful so that does make for a decent appearance in some areas now some associate this with a good atmosphere i disagree for me park atmosphere is much more than just the appearance it's how you feel when you're walking through the park and despite some nice steaming albeit some cheap theming oats overall this park is just kind of the stereotypically bad six flags atmosphere it felt busy hot due to a lack of shade despite the trees and there's advertisements here more than others and it just kind of takes away from the decent theming as i did not enjoy walking around here going from ride to ride now the biggest issue at this park was the operations the worst story was flashback to become a boomerang the line at pretty much any other park that i experienced would have taken 30 to 45 minutes here it took 45 minutes to cycle 4 trains so that's an average of around 12 minutes per train technically 11 but i'm exaggerating here so that was a very very poor operation experience it was pretty early in the season so i guess the staff had not really learned the ropes yet but besides comet pretty much every ride had a super long line maybe it was a bit crowded but also due to the fact that they just were not dispatching very well the layout is not great here either trying to get to comet was quite confusing for me maybe not for others but i got completely turned around at one point so overall i just had a bad experience here i have a full review of this park and i do encourage you to check that one out but overall there's some good rides here and some nice theming but i just did not like this park really that much number 13 is frontier city this is the one most would have at number 14 but please do not click off quite yet i promise i have a good reason for this ranking higher than great escape but you're gonna be shocked when i hear that the top two will not be open for a very long time and they were not open when i went so i did not ride diamondback or silver bullet and i'm sure you're wondering how it could possibly not be last place with that well let's talk about this park gunslinger was the best rod i got on it's a solid flat ride for sure they do have quick drop which is a fun shooting dark ride with some flaws but still nice sets and a very fun overall experience the roller coasters i got on include wildcat which is a fine family wooden coaster and steel lasso which is a smooth and decent family invert so for me great escape has a ride lineup that is significantly weaker than the rest of the chain and frontier city is significantly weaker than that so how could this be above great escape well i did enjoy my time in frontier city i think the theming here is far superior you have a great western theme carried through the whole park the rides interact with each other in very nice looking ways they even have some rock work in many areas and while it's not the best rock work i can appreciate the effort that went in i enjoyed the train ride that takes you from place to place and kind of does show you some of the best seaming in the park and this one besides the larson loop and one advertisement just does not feel like a six flags park this one has the nice independent park atmosphere one other standout thing is that it is very quiet when i went this park never gets crowded so i had walk-ons for everything and the operations here were at least a bit better than great escape instead of 10-minute dispatches everything was around four at the worst and that's still not great the wildcat was actually running very well in terms of operations and dispatches the staff here was also very nice friendly and knew the answer to pretty much any question you had to ask so that was nice and i know some of you are thinking i just had a bad day great escape so that's why i'm giving it a hard time but no frontier city the two star rides were closed if that's not supposed to constitute a bad day at a park i don't know it does neither park was a great day overall and i imagine if i got on a different day i could have loved great escape and hated frontier city but that's just not how it played out i enjoyed my time in frontier city and it earned the number 13 spot number 12 is six flags darien lake this one is nice but it's not a standout their best ride is ride of steel and apart from having a pretty dumb name it is a very fun intimate hyper coaster with great airtime intensity and a nice setting tantrum is the second best and is a solid gear slower short but sweet with some very nice inversions and a smooth ride for sure predator is a classic wooden coaster that while somewhat rough is not painful and was super enjoyable overall and the new titan track i wouldn't mind if they did that with more parts of the ride as it is helping a little bit after that the ride lineup thins out quite a bit moto coaster is a fine family coaster viper is a average aero looper and then they have two poor veycomas in boomerang and mind eraser in terms of the atmosphere and appearance it's pretty average there are some nice lakes which adds to it and the entrance plaza looks good and some of the rides have very solid appearances for sure but there isn't much the layout is fine besides getting the motor coaster that's pretty bad and then the operations everything is one train besides tantrum but they weren't doing terribly and it was a quiet day so i was able to get on stuff pretty quickly this is the fun part but in a spectacular one number 11 is six fly st louis many call this park underrated while i did enjoy the park i disagree their best ride there is mr freeze it's a very fun premiere ride's launch coaster with great elements and it's probably my favorite ride from that manufacturer my second favorite here is batman the ride this is a fun vienna invert and i've done pretty much every batman clone now and i consider them very underrated even doing a whole video on that and this one is an average one of them but it's still a great ride so i've not mentioned the wooden coasters yet and they did not help the park out that much american thunder was closed which is unfortunate boss was a bit too rough to be a great wooden coaster but it did have its great intense moments so it is a good ride overall but not a great one and then screaming eagle while it has some good airtime moments and a nice setting it's possibly the roughest roller coaster i've ever been on and while i do enjoy parts of it it's very comparable to great american screen machine for me better than that one mind you but not one i loved ninja was a surprise hit at the park i thought it was smooth especially through the inversions and the layout is unique but pretty solid for an arrow looper and there's actually some really shockingly fun moments in this one then they have two decent family coasters pandemoniums a good spinning one everywhere king mind train is a weaker mind train but still fun and then they have boomerang which is not really special as far as boomerangs go there were two very nice non-coisos they went on catwoman whip is like adirondack outlaw but slightly better and their train ride is a very fun one that has a bit of a sense of history and gives great views of some rides regarding the setting and appearance it's fine i like the setting a lot you have a nice hill and this is the first time i've ever seen deer in a theme park which is kind of a standout thing and then some of the appearance is kind of subpar the wooden coasters have very impressive structures but none of the other rides besides batman's great paint job look all that good and then honestly the theming is not good here they try to do a studio backlot area and honestly is a huge mess and kind of atrocious in a way but the park is not terrible and they clearly tried to make it look nice the layout is kind of subpar the way they do it for the hill that was pretty well done it's on a hill but it does not feel like it in many parts but getting the mr freeze is frustrating and getting the ninja is a very egregious task so i do enjoy this park overall but it is somewhat disappointing operations were good on batman bad on freeze fine on everything else and it's a solid time but part of it was i did not go on a great day due to rain it is a good park but i did enjoy quite a few others more than this number 10 is six flights america this one is definitely underrated though it is getting a lot more respect as of recently my favorite roller coaster here is batwing batwing is a divisive coaster but i find it smooth intense has a solid layout and it's quite scary when you get really close to the ground the next best here would be superman ride of steel which is around the same level of quality as the one at darien lake joker's jinx is a great premier eyes launch coaster with a shockingly intense second half wild one is a somewhat rough but good airtime wooden coaster raging cajun is a actually terrifying spinning wild mouse that i enjoyed a lot roar was closed you have firebird which is kind of terrible as far as b m's go it is one of the very very worst and then mind eraser is their slc regarding non roller coasters they have a decent collection here as well harley quinn's spin sanity is a very good frisbee ride i enjoy those a lot penguin blizzard river is basically a water slide in the dry park and that was a unique fun experience voodoo drop is a small but very powerful intimate drop tower their sky screamer wonder woman lasso truth is fine but does not offer a great view like others do and that's important to know this park is not the best looking it's serviceable in the front half of the park but as many have said the dc area just does not look good the colors are nice in joker's jinx and some rides look fine but especially the area with batwing it just has no good atmosphere whatsoever but at least the front entrance plaza is decent and then regarding operations they are definitely better than most 65 sparks superman was the strongest for sure but they were doing pretty well on all of them like joker's jinx wild one batwing the only issues were a few breakdowns and ragin cajun definitely did not have a great capacity but they were still loading trains decently on that one and the layout is fine getting to the dc area is a little frustrating but other than that it's not too hard to get around so overall this park has a very strong ride lineup and there are other things that could use some work but the ride lineup is definitely higher than number 10 on its own on this list number nine is laronde hang on do not click off just yet hear me out i promise i have very good reason for it ranking so high many of you maybe have not seen my full review and that will give you a very good insight as to the kind of day i had at lebron now i'm sure most of you think lebron is one of if not the worst parks on the chain however i'm also betting that most of you have never been to laurent and you based that off of coaster studios review and other negative reviews i promise there are good days at lerond and i had two of them let's talk rides goliath is definitely the best ride i've mentioned so far it is a fantastic b m mega coaster with really strong air time and a very fun ride overall vampire is a batman clone i love those so it's a very solid number two in the park for roller coasters things do thin out lane monster is an underrated fun wooden coaster but not great dragon is a very strong family coaster with some decent theming toboggan nordik is one of the best wild mouse coasters out there then you have boomerang which is one of the worst boomerangs and ed nor which is my least favorite of roller coasters so coaster lineup here is not better than america and maybe not even better than st louis however there are a lot of flat rides here and that helps quite a bit titan is my second favorite of the giant pendulum rides because you go over the water which makes for a very cool visual on and off the ride demon is a disorienting fun flat ride leora beta has a beautiful setting for a drop tower their sky screamer is very strong and there are several other flat rides for all ages now regarding the appearance this is one of the nicest looking parks mainly for its setting this park is in the river on an island and you get a great view of montreal you have a bridge going over the park it is absolutely beautiful but that's not all the park itself looks great because of the beautiful lake they put in the middle many of the rides are built surrounding the lake and it makes for a stunning visual in pretty much any area of the park when you're walking along the lake that is stunning and just walking around is fun here they even have some solid medieval theming in one area of the park and the operations here are tops here for six flies maybe i got lucky but goliath had possibly the best team working on a roller coaster i've ever seen they were dispatching trains like crazy and never stacking two trains on the evacoma slc was also a standout thing because i'd never seen that in any other slc before staff was friendly and helpful the layout has been complained about before because it's not a full circle but it's not that hard to get around and getting from ride to ride is actually quite easy and i never got turned around so this is an underrated park i had a great time here and i think if you plan to go here get away with maybe the open mindset it definitely deserves a chance number eight is six flags over georgia this one is the opposite of lebron while the ride lineup is great there are other things that are not goliath is their number one a fantastic b m hyper one of the best with floater airtime intensity and even some ejector airtime at the end twisted cyclone is a really strong number too it is probably the weakest rmc hybrid coaster i've done but it still has some great airtime moments and strong inversions then you have the underrated superman ultimate flight the best version of this flying coaster you have daredevil dive which is a fantastic gear slider with an intense long ride and batman the ride possibly the fastest version of this one and possibly the best as well after that there is a bit of weakness riddler mindbender is a somewhat poorly paced and also somewhat bumpy schwarzkopf coaster and it's kind of average for that model [Music] then you have blue hawk which is a fine relatively forceless looping coaster by the coma but at least looks very nice and then you have dahlonega mine train which is a terrifying somewhat bumpy not great mine train coaster then you have great american screen machine which i hate but many love regarding non-roller coasters you have quite a bit here they have crazanity a good pendulum ride and while i'm not a fan of acrophobia many do like it then you have two dark rides justice league is always fun and monster mansion is just spectacular great sets and sense of atmosphere and it's one of my favorite dark rides period the appearance here is also decent the setting is absolutely nothing special but there's some nice looking areas over in the back looking at the great american screen machine the hall of justice in front of superman ultimate flight the front entrance area many rides look strong especially goliath daredevil dive and superman ultimate flight so this is all good what is not good is the operations they had sufficient staff in the park but they did not have enough people to operate certain rides so twisted cyclone opened a half hour late with the exception of twisted cyclone and daredevil dive they were running one train on everything despite it being a relatively crowded day this batman the rifle is by far the worst operations of any of them i usually praise the ones there but this batman the riot clone is just not good in terms of operations there were breakdowns and honestly they just don't do very well here they have loose article policy that's somewhat poor on some rides even in 20 20 21 on superman ultimate flight you had to carry stuff with you so if you didn't have zipper pockets bye bye the other bad thing is the layout this layout is the worst in the chain i'm confident in saying that because the dead end to the gotham area is atrocious and getting to the back park for me is next to impossible when people talk bad six flags layouts they talk discovery kingdom great adventure and over texas i don't understand that this one is so tough to get to i went with a local last time and even they didn't know how to get from area an area no disrespect to them by the way it's just not easy to get around here that said this is a very strong ride lineup however when i'm not on rise over georgia i just don't enjoy my time here much it is a very good park but it's definitely not a great one number seven is six flights discovery kingdom this is among the most underrated six flags parks i'd say that la ronde and maybe one other joker is their best ride here an underrated rmc hybrid with a pretty solid sense of speed but also some of the best airtime and inversions of any of the hybrids medusa is one of the best floorless coasters it's near perfect in terms of smoothness speed and layout superman ultimate flight is an underrated premier rise coaster with very strong intensity and a very nice tunnel they put in the ride that actually makes the launch feel a lot faster and it's far more comfortable than something like tigress that means the ride is a 40 free spin i like these they are great but they're not necessarily the best of the best kind of thing sidewinder safari was not open when i went their boomerang is not good and kong is one of the best slc's but that's not a super high bar appraise they do have some decent flat rides as well lasso of truth is a very good frisbee despite being smaller their skyscraper is good hammerhead is a unique flat ride at least an appearance and the big thing here is that the ride lineup is much weaker than over georgia so i'm sure you're wondering how it ranks so high well this is easily one of the best atmospheres of any six fox park the front half is beautiful they really went all out kind of making this feel like a world park it's much closer to seaworld theming than six flies with statues foliage and whatnot and the back half is full of animals you ride along a body of water and you can see a lot of great animals giraffes lions tigers wolves they have plenty of marine animals as well there's penguin exhibits there's seals dolphins sea lions and there's two kind of animal attractions i'll say that are among my favorite things to do in the park they have a great shark encounter and then they have a butterfly garden which is just a serene beautiful looking area that's nice to spend some time and relax it's very reminiscent of the kind of thing people love about disney's animal kingdom so overall this is just a very nice atmosphere and i love walking around on the note of walking around the layout is not too hard to get through obviously getting to the entrance is a bit of a chore but once you're in the park it's not difficult to find your place from ride to ride and even from animal to animal the operations were decent medusa and batman were doing really great joker was down most of the day and flash was closed but other than that they were fine the operations are technically average maybe even below average for the chain but what stands out here is the wonderful atmosphere and the fact that walking around here i had just as much fun as when i was riding coasters number six is six flies new england back when i'd only gone to six parks this was still number six i am so sorry i trashed on this thing before it's a great park the top two is a standout superman ride is personally my favorite it is the best traditional hyper i've been on with great air time a great layout intensity and even the restraints don't bother me much wicked cyclone is just barely behind and it's a very strong rmc hybrid holds its speed great for the first two thirds great air time solid inversions and just a fun fast-paced ride for sure then after that you got four rides kind of battling for next best you have batman the dark knight a smooth but relatively unspectacular bm flawless widdler revenge an intense but still somewhat bumpy slc but still the best of that model joker an inconsistent 43 spin and thunderbolt which is definitely a pretty strong wooden coaster in this first half though definitely a bit more family oriented in the second especially you also have pandemonium a good spinning coaster then you have some really really bad ones flashback is my least favorite makeover boomerang and gotham city gambler is the worst wild mouse i've ever done regarding flat rise do you have harley quinn's insanity which is actually my third favorite ride in the park it's definitely better than those other decent roller coasters you have a great sky screamer you have a decent drop tower cyborg hyperdrive is a fun indoor flat ride and it's good the atmosphere is quite strong here you have some nice steaming in certain areas not fully fledged but still good and then a standout thing here is that the rides look wonderful especially superman which is such an imposing presence and it's one of the most visually impressive roller coasters i think i've ever seen and then you have some good operations here there was one closure on joker when i went but they were running trains pretty well and it was a quiet day but lions were only long on pandemonium and they were doing a very good job so operations were good here and then the layout it's pretty easy to get around it's not a huge park so you won't struggle much the only thing is going down at the superman area is a little weird but overall this park is a great top two and just a visit going on these two rides over and over again is worth the price of admission i apologize for previously trashing on this park it is a great one definitely worth going to number five is six flights over texas first six flights park is still one of the truly spectacular ones in the chain they have a very underrated coaster lineup new texas giant is my number one here it's actually a very strong rmc hybrid i get it's not the fastest one but i find it intense has great air time and it's a long fun one that i consider to be an elite roller coaster mr freeze the first blast is second best and somehow this one is way better than the st louis one smoother more intense and every element is more effective then they have titan an underrated hyper coaster that is very intense and even though the mid course break run along with the underwhelming first drop in airtime hill do hold it back a bit the rest of the layout does exactly what it wants to and it's great batman the right is our fourth best and while this is kind of the weakest one for being a bit bumpy or a bit slower than the others the fact that this is fourth best shows how good the rides are runaway mountain is next and this is a super underrated coaster it's straight up not a kitty coaster not even a family coaster and how intense it is i honestly think this is way better than space mountain a lot of people love space mountain so i imagine hopefully a lot of people love this they just don't talk about it that much they also have shockwave one of the best schwarzkopf loopers runaway mine train easily the best there of mine train first great intensity final drop and terrain they have the joker which is a good free spin they have a pandemonium they have a bobsled and lavabora a classic wooden coaster and judge-wise scream and then they have a decent somewhat kids coaster in mini mine train they also have quite a decent collection of non-roller coasters here red little revenge is their first bee it's good to have one of those they have one of the best sky screamers out there they have a decent dark ride and pirates of the speed longer cave their train ride is very fun the oil derrick went open is cool to go up and the riot lineup here is just very strong and honestly this park also has some of the best theming and appearance of any six flies park in the one half of the park they have a lot of themed areas that are based around the six flies or six countries that have owned texas at a point and it's quite immersive they keep the area small and intricate and i think that was very smart they also have a very solid looking dc area and it doesn't super clash of the cohesive theme of the rest of the park because it's kind of in its own area there's also some really nice looking rides especially new texas giant mr freeze and titan pretty much everything looks good here though and i also think the operations here are strong new texas giant was good batman is very good mr freeze like at st louis could use some work but lines were pretty much walk-ons nearly everywhere i went but whether or not the dispatchers were strong the staff is one of the best of any six flags park here i did give a shout out to jeremiah he was at runaway mountain operating the ride and it broke down at one point and he kept us entertained to the queue he was a super awesome guy and he was such an awesome employee he deserved to mention this video for sure the one flaw in this park is the layout the dc part is easy to get around but the themed areas because they're small it's kind of confusing to get around and the dead ends to titan and judge roy's scream while not nearly as tedious as that over georgia it's not great but the layout is the one big flaw and this park is still one of the best number four is six flights fiesta texas this is number one for many now let me get something out of the way here wonder woman was closed dr diabolical was not done the train marvel's closed the log flume was down for the second half of the day goliath was down for the first half of the day daredevil fly flying machines were kind of down for a bit the boomerang broke down for a little while so yeah a lot was closed but what was open was great iron rattler is probably my second favorite roller coaster at any six flags park it is a phenomenal rmc hybrid you have superman krypton coaster which is probably the best floorless coaster for its great interaction with terrain it's not the fastest of them but its layout is immaculate i also think goliath is a good batman the ride clone it gives the foot numbness more than the others but it's also not quite as intense so it's kind of average but still a great ride poltergeist gives a very different experience honestly from joker's jinx but i still love those spaghetti ball rides batman the ride was the original free spin and probably one of the best roadrunner express is one of the better mine trains out there they have pandemonium which is good their boomerang was better than some others so with iron rattler being easily the standout man the air time inversions i love that ride so much but the rest of this is good and they have a very strong non-coaster collection here for sure joker carnival chaos is the best frisbee ride not just for his grey air airtime but also its immaculately themed q daredevil fly flying machines daredevil dive flying machines is so fun and unique and i also love the q on that one skyscraper is a good skyscraper because you go right above the quarry wall they have a somewhat weak drop tower and scream bugs bunny white water rapids is a really great log balloon that has a very beautiful medieval q and pirates of the deep sea is a really fun shooting dark ride with a lot of good effects and a hue that gives a full ride experience on its own now you heard me mention the word q a lot and yeah these cues are the best of any six flags park joker's is a full fun house with a lot of surprises poltergeist is like haunted mansion the pirates one goes through so many different sets that are also impressive and honestly i think the hues here are universal level and the overall appearance of the park outside of hues is great you have the quarry wall which is used really well as rides interact with it and you have waterfalls going off of it it is beautiful and pretty much every themed area here looks great the entrance plaza honors mexican culture and it's quite nice to look at with a lot of popping colors they have a sort of 50s themed area and while that one's not spectacular they very cleverly used a movie theater as the entrance for batman the ride which is quite smart they also have spasberg the medieval area which is absolutely beautiful with a full castle that looks quite impressive fiesta bay boardwalk really does feel like a boardwalk and they very smartly put some of the attractions that feel more like boardwalk stuff than unique rides in that area and then crack axle canyon speedpunk district is a very nice western area and while it's probably the weakest themed area in the park it would be the best at pretty much any other six flags park so this area is beautiful and it's still like the weakest one in the park so well done i love the way this looks and the layout is also one of the strongest it separates the themed land so they stay cohesive and immersive but there's no dead ends the operations were kind of something that kind of held us back they had one train on basically everything it was a quiet day but they weren't dispatching super fast at most stuff i am rattler and roadrunner express were especially weak in this regard and that rattler's front row was closed i believe they're doing yearly maintenance on the ride when i went so maybe i just chose a really bad time to go here as i've mentioned there were a lot of closed rides and some operation issues that said there are some very good rides here and some absolutely beautiful theming that make for a wonderful six flags experience if you go here and don't ride anything assuming you can maybe get into some of the hues i think you'll still like this park it could be number one on a different day for sure but for now it has to fall at number four and now we've come to the top three we got great adventure magic mountain great america these are pretty much the generic top three the stereotypical ones that everyone considers the three best except for those who like vs texas the most so how do they rank number three is six flies magic mountain now magic mountain fanboys before you leave and type in the comments how wrong i am and how this park is better than cedar point and all that hear me out this park is great but i feel like those who think this park is the perfect holy grail of all amusement parks overlooks some flaws we'll start by talking about the roller coasters twisted colossus is my favorite of any six fights roller coaster i love this hybrid for its first drop airtime inversions and very unique idea of kind of the dueling rmc tatsu is the second best year for me i love flying coasters and this one is the best x2 is my third while many consider this the best i like other kinds of rides better and this one definitely has flaws specifically the extremely painful final turn that kind of leaves a sour taste in your mouth by the end then here's the issue after a very strong top three my number four here is batman the ride this park definitely seems to prioritize quantity over quality apocalypse is a very strong wooden coaster they're not quite as good as batman the ride for me full throttle is a great launch coaster but too short to truly be fantastic where the revenge is a rough but very solid stand-up coaster and probably the best stand-up coaster out there superman escape from krypton is a fun launch coaster for sure west coast races is all the making is a great ride but has pretty much the worst restraints i've ever experienced goliath is a good not great hyper coaster revolution is good ninja's good viper is not that good they just don't have a lot of great coasters here whereas i think parks such as over texas fiesta texas over georgia all have more great roller coasters in this park this park has a lot of good ones though and that helps and outside of roller coasters there's plenty to enjoy craig's entity luxury drop of doom those are good and the park is a fantastic setting the surrounding looks wonderful most of the rides have fantastic appearances and i like walking around this park assuming it's not too hot now the other thing that is good about the park surprisingly is the layout they do a loop format so the only real dead end is the screampunk district and superman and while superman's is bad this layout is good so there's a lot of very good stuff here they have a lot of great rides but why is it not tough too well operations are definitely not a strong suit at this park at all i think x2 has possibly the worst offs of any roller coaster period besides flashback on the day i went a great escape riddler and scream were standouts as good when i last went there were a lot of breakdowns and there still are i'm sure and the lines were extremely long and some surprising rides honestly like i wasn't expecting certain things to be as long as they were and the park is also just not that well kept bathrooms smell terrible and when i say terrible i'm not referring to like it smells like people went in there but it smells like people smoke in there and i don't enjoy that vandalism is prominent there's quite a bit of trash the park's kind of a dump there are great roller coasters here but whereas a lot of parks have great stuff to kind of support those roller coasters especially the two parks above this one this park is saved by its roller coasters and i still think there are two parts with better coaster collections along with some other aspects that make them better this is a great park but for those who think magic mountain is number one i think you can have to look past the roller coasters to understand why this park does not stack up against the top two number two is six fly's great adventure this is a phenomenal park it almost got number one maybe it should have been number one but if you think hey how dare you not put it number one trust me i love this park it just slightly got edged out let's talk roller coasters king dakar is definitely my favorite here a fantastic launch coaster with some of the craziest forces i've ever experienced on any roller coaster el toro while somewhat rough has unbelievable air time and it's only really rough in part of the second half and it's not super painful i recommend front row on el toro jersey devil is a fast-paced airtime filled single rail coaster with some really strong hang time on inversions and a very long ride cycle that i hear is a complaint on wonder woman and railblazer i also think the b m's are great here nitro is a b hyper those are always great medusa is one of the best floorless coasters primarily for it's very weird theming elements that add quite a bit to the good inversions i like super mantels my flight a lot batman the ride i mentioned those before they had the joker which is good dark knight coaster is an underrated wild mouse and probably the most comfortable wild mouse out there then they have skill mountain runaway mine train and harley quinn crazy trying to add to the family coaster stuff the green lantern which sucks but they have very good roller coasters here and the fact that my number seven is my number four at magic mountain basically batman the ride is what i'm referring to that shows that i think this lineup is better for flat rise i have quite a bit i never rode zoom in jarrow but cyborg cyber spin is great and they have wonder woman lots of truth and a pretty solid flat rate collection overall and the park's appearance is also one of the strongest golden kingdom towards king dakar is shockingly immersive movie town looks very good most of the roller coasters look great especially el toro and king dakar that is just beautiful and the layout also gets too much hate i think it's really easy to get around like no joke it took me just over five minutes to get from el toro to jersey devil when i was running and that was a jog pace so people who say it's too hard to get from area to area apart from the medusa dead end i really don't think it is one other thing here is operations the operations are the best in the chain i went on a dead day and they had three trains on so many things nitro 3 trains jersey devil at 3 trains the only one train ride was el toro and that was still running really fast the operations are fantastic here and even when it was pouring rain they were still sending trains which may have been a mistake as el toro was kind of painful in the rain but i still love that made for a fantastic experience and all of this is great but there is one huge flaw with this park the loose article policy you are not allowed to bring anything on any ride and unfortunately i bring quite a few things into a park normally so last time i went i did not bring anything into the park because i did not want to pay for lockers because that's pretty much the only option unless you have a non-rider which i do not have in my family so if you go into the park with nothing you'll be fine and you'll love this park for sure however that does hold this park back a little bit but this is still just an unbelievable place with great rides a great appearance fantastic operations and the safari is great too i don't really consider the safari for this one because while i did it i just don't think of it too much as part of the park that said that could have been enough to push us to number one but for now i have to give number one to six flags great america surprising choice i'm sure but my experience here was my favorite of any of them so i stand by this ranking let's talk about the coaster line up here they don't have a number one that matches kingdica twisted colossus iron rattler or even goliath over georgia but they have so many great riots here that no other park encounter raging bull is my favorite here yeah kind of a spoiler for some upcoming stuff there but i love this ride so much it is a long fantastic hyper experience max force is a powerful launch coaster with at least one very strong inversion x-flight is an underrated b m wing coaster with great forces and aversions and some very fun near miss elements goliath has some of the best elements of any rmc coaster and then you have batman the ride the original and i like this one for strain usage and it looks fantastic as well superman ultimate flight is always great they have the joker wizard is a great family coaster dark knight coaster is a very strong wild mouse with great theming and then you have vertical velocity which is kind of like wicked twister and it's fun to relive that one and you have two great wooden coasters on american eagle and viper demon is also there i don't love demon but this is a very stacked supporting lineup and i see the supporting coasters here not the overall but supporting rival cedar point and that's saying a lot because i love cedar points coasters they also don't have a lot of flat rides here i will point that out that said their drop tower is one of my favorites for the beautiful view you get if you sit on the correct side and also the very powerful drop it gives they also have a justice league battle for metropolis but not a whole lot else and that lack of flat rise is probably the biggest issue with this park however the coasters and the amount of great coasters more than make up for that the atmosphere is also great here i would say the atmosphere is the best of any park in the chain the staff and guests were both extremely friendly i made friends with staff members and just guests that i was waiting in line with and there was a sense of community i've not felt in any other six flights park and i just enjoyed that a lot it made waiting in line a lot more fun the appearance is also probably my second favorite it's not highly themed but the roller coasters are just all so beautiful every ride goliath raging bull vertical velocity batman the ride joker superman ultimate flight all of them look so wonderful and because of the way they make the park you can see a lot of roller coasters from different areas and it's like being able to see different themed lands from different areas of islands of adventure it's just fantastic i also think the front entrance is probably the best looking of any 6'5 spark as well and that adds quite a bit the beautiful skyline rival cedar point and it makes up for a lack of theming the operations are also really strong batman superman american eagle viper and especially x-flight were really great and despite low capacity they're doing a really strong job on max force i should also point out the loose article policy is great here so you do not have to worry about the great adventure issue and that's kind of what helps this one beat it another big thing is that the big layout here is the loop and it is the most easily navigable of any six fly's park best layout for sure and because of how easy it is to spot roller coasters and rides you will pretty much never struggle to get to anything the only minor thing is the kids area being somewhat closed off but that is still pretty easy to find and i love that for sure the park is also probably the cleanest and most well-kept of any of the six vice parks i know this park brags about being cleanest for some reason but man it really is i was surprised to see that and i like that a lot and overall this is just the park i'm the most fun at first lively atmosphere and abundance of great rides this was my favorite 65 experience so it is my favorite six flights park
