all right so another boss ranking here but this time i got my homeboy ganondorf with me anything you want to say to the audience before we start this off zelda games and boss battles go together like uh link and annoying partners i i don't know i'm bad at these analogies but point being zelda games are known for their bosses so let's just say the stakes are really high for this ranking because we're looking at the final bosses of all the 3d zelda games if you've been watching these videos for a while you'll know that i cover a bunch of different video game topics with some interesting special effects to accompany them so hit subscribe if you want to see more of these style videos because i have plenty of ideas for the future ah that guy packs a punch why couldn't he be more like this rendition of ganondorf but i'm getting sidetracked now let's just start this ranking so not the biggest ranking in the world because there's only six 3d zelda games but these are some great battles so there will be a lot to talk about for each section but oddly enough the battle that comes in last place is from the most recent 3d zelda game breath of the wild you know this battle gets a lot of hate and i don't necessarily agree with all of it it's not bad per se however the other boss battles from 3d zelda games end with a unique grand finale while this battle is just kind of like average his attacks are all pretty standard and very similar to the other bosses we've seen in the game plus you attack him no differently than most other enemies later in the fight it does get a bit more interesting when he can turn invincible with some orange shield so in this part you first have to parry one of his attacks in order to remove his shield first and then attack him and you know the combat in breath of the wild is really good so i did enjoy this phase but the battle arena for this fight is just in a hole like you'll see later on this list you can have way more interesting settings for the final boss rather than this and as if we haven't spent enough time in this game underground in shrines too there is a second phase in this battle and he does turn into this massive awesome looking beast thing however in this part of the fight there is literally no challenge at all you just hit these giant targets while ganon shoots this one slow laser at you honestly i had more difficulty just dealing with this damn horse the whole battle like come on get back here horsey no don't don't run into the foot of that thing we got a battle to do here i guess this part was just supposed to be a spectacle or something but i feel like they could have done more with this part considering how epic it looked yeah really that's how i described this whole battle good fight but they could have done a lot more [Music] so breath of the wild as of now is the most current 3d zell of the game so for this next one why don't we go back and look at the oldest one on this list and i don't mean when it was made i'm talking about the very first zelda game on the zelda timeline which is skyward sword so this time the boss only looks like ganon because he's actually called demise and character-wise he's awesome he gets resurrected right before the battle and just look at this guy a true warrior he comes off as a very honorable fighter since when you meet demise he's fascinated that a human would actually challenge him he even then creates a portal to a separate area so he can fight you one-on-one no distractions just a test of skill so when you get there the stage is set you're super pumped up to fight this being and demise feels the same way the battle itself though it's good but you know is just good however it's a one-on-one sword fight the whole time with two phases and it starts with more of a raw style sword fight you do have to struggle with the motion controls so that can kinda get annoying however i will say that this sword fight is the best one in the game since the focus isn't on hitting your target in specific spots it's more focused on parrying which you do with the nunchuck to then leave him open for attacks and then you can attack him any way you want the next phase is the battle of the skyward strikes basically you have to charge up your sword here using the lightning then you do this to shoot your skyward strike atom while he does the same so this part's more like the battle of projectiles and that's really it it's a very short final boss unfortunately but you still get to finish the fight with this epic spinny strike okay so time to shake things up a bit now with this next boss here this is a boss with a rather creepy design from a rather creepy game let's look at the trippiest boss on this list the final battle of legend of zelda majora's mask and this enemy is called well majora's mask at least that's what he starts off as because in the first phase of this battle you simply fight the mask but it grows these weird tentacles turning it into this floating squid looking thing and this is a really creepy and cool look for the mask then he summons his other masked friends that all float around him in some sort of mask party forcing you to take down these multiple targets then after that though things get even more weird in his next form where he grows these long arms and legs then freaks out a bit by running around the challenge here is to catch the guy while he has a dance party by himself and the guy even does that whole russian squat dance thing seriously what is this phase but after he stops dancing he goes to the last and most deadliest phase majora's wrath i.e he turns buff and has whips his range is super long now reaching the entire stage so you have to carefully shoot him with arrows from a distance before moving in for the sword attack i like this battle overall because you literally have no idea what to expect this game had one of the most mysterious villains a literal mask like how do you even fight a mask and it had one of the best build ups too being inside the moon in this odd surreal dreamlike area on top of all this this battle is just weird and that's even coming from a series that's pretty weird on its own so now we just have the ganondorf fights left and rightfully so i mean he's just such a great villain to end off all these different games and the boss battle that comes in third place is the final battle of ocarina of time okay i know i'll probably say this about a lot of the battles on this list but what a great build up to this final boss fight you first have a tennis match with ganon in what you think is the final battle but after that you'll save zelda he'll then collapse the castle down on you which starts a chase sequence out of there then once the entire castle crumbles and turns to rubble you investigate the ruins in which ganon comes back and transforms into this beast-like form this is such a grand and creepy sight that you'll see when the battle starts the atmosphere is so awesome here you're fighting in the castle ruins lightning is constantly striking and instead of playing an intense epic music track you just hear a more eerie and ominous track really making it feel like okay this is it this is the battle of hyrule i love it and when the battle starts ganon immediately knocks away your master sword which forces you to then use your other items instead this subverts the player's expectations right off the bat ganon's weak spot is on his tail but the way you attack his tail is up to the player you could stun his face by using the light arrows which then causes him to be vulnerable for a bit allowing for an attack or there was the more risky option to just roll right through his legs and attack it that way however you'd have to get close to his two giant swords with this method this fight was variable a fun challenge and a great showcase of what the main villain of this game was capable of all right you know the deal it's that time in the list when only two games remain and this is like the battle of the art styles you could say we got the cartoony wind waker versus the edgy and more realistic twilight princess let's take a look at wind waker first before we even get to the final fight we have to deal with this puppet ganon who sets the stage pretty well he uses a lot of unique attacks that forces the player to use various weapons to counter those but once that's done you'll have to scale this massive tower by a rope and then you get to the top to meet ganondorf but while this guy is literally too busy monologuing the king of hyrule comes in and trolls him by touching the triforce first in which he then floods the land so as this entire place is flooding down upon you the fight starts and you have to defeat ganon with his dual wielded swords first of all what an epic scenario for the final battle and second of all what's pretty cool is that you actually work with zelda this time she'll try and stun ganon by using the light arrows which leaves you to go in for the hits but this ain't just free shots here since ganon can attack zelda 2 by literally slapping her in the face that leaves her stunned for a bit and he can even dodge her arrows making it a pretty dynamic boss fight gotta know when to back off when to attack and when to parry plus it's a pretty neat finish since by the end of the battle ganon will dodge all of zelda's attacks so to finally finish him you have to get her to shoot your shield in order to bounce the arrow back at ganon this then stuns him one last time so you can go in for the final blow sealing him and the sword in stone as the water floods down on the land what an awesome ending the final boss of twilight princess was the best one for me like guys i really liked the finale of this game it was such a long battle and there are so many different elements and phases to it the first phase has you fighting zelda of all people well a puppet version of her that is but this first phase is really just a throwback to the original ocarina of time final boss first phase you know that whole tennis match ordeal however in the next part you use the other style of gameplay from this game wolflink and this is very fitting since ganon has now turned into a giant warthog so this part becomes the battle of the beasts where you just have to yeet him across the entire stage using midna's giant hair hand after that the battle goes to yet another phase but this time you're teleported out of the castle onto hyrule fields in order to have an epic horseback riding duel zelda also joins you here and you have to get her close to ganon to allow her to shoot the light arrow and stun him after that you just swoop in and slice him up for a bit i gotta say this part is one of the most awesome parts of any zelda game it's a fun challenge to both control your horse and deal with combat at the same time but once the horses are all gone all that remains is the final phase with just you and ganondorf one on one in a sword fighting arena to the death damn what a perfect atmosphere and final fight to end this game all right there you have it that's the list that's the ranking so tune back in next week if you want to see me rank all the ganondorf fights from the cdi games i'll see you guys then [Music]
