The list:
I feel like Rahdo's top 10 is heavily influenced by what his wife also likes to play...
It's still surprising to me that Keyflower is included on Rahdo's list, considering how mean it allows players to be. I find it particularly cutthroat. Troyes can be as well, though it's more of an option in Troyes, where I find it more of a necessity in Keyflower.
Itβs interesting... For a guy who is famous for his bias towards non-combative 2-player Euro games, Iβm not seeing a lot of my top games (or BGGβs top games) of that kind here. Castles of Burgundy, Gloomhaven, and Pandemic make sense. I havenβt played many of the others, admittedly.
But why 7 Wonders instead of 7 Wonders Duel? Agricola instead of Fields of Arle or Feast for Odin? No Concordia, Brass: Birmingham, Great Western Trail, Jaipur, Patchwork, Hanamikoji, Race/Roll for the Galaxy, etc?
Itβs not a knock against him, as this is his personal top 10. Just an observation.
I've noticed Nations just because I'm curious about Civ games but haven't paid too close attention because it doesn't seem to have much buzz around it. Maybe I should look closer.
Does he talk about why some of the games dropped? I know Dungeon Petz used to be in his top 10, and now itβs not.
Shadowrun Crossfire is my big surprise here.
No complaint on the game. Just my general surprise.
