races of an hour each and race one is about to get underway here as the grid is starting to take shape David Addison trackside and after the qualifying session this morning it's the British driver you cases it's the am the lower graded or the slower driver that goes first so you can anticipate quite a rush into the pit lane when that pit window opens and it will do so after this lap because a flying lap is just over two minutes so for the leaders that window will be open when they get back to the timing light at the end of this lap through goes you and Makai so perhaps overshadowed at the start of the season by brother Dan and his two wins but going nicely here running in second spots him on Canal third they remember he's fighting for silver cup championship honours fourth is the Mercedes camp 66 ready to rejoin here comes van de Endor he's not going to get the race lead on the pit stops but can he take the fight to the Mercedes because the Mercedes only now can accelerate out of the pit lane it's going to be closed between the two of them Lambert's can't afford to cut that white pit lane line either he doesn't he breaks for the corner but the two leaders are virtually as one and Vanda and even think about the inside line they're together they make the run now into turn two and Ricardo van der and given his experience given the fact this is a carbon from pole position for both races I will afford he be able to find the way through now get himself into the lead of the race with 28 minutes to go but he needs to strike now before Lambert gets into a rhythm [Music] Mercedes and he gets way up the curve on the inside mows the lawn as well he trims the grass they're powering his way up tools turns 11 and 12 he's back onto the tail of that Mercedes trying to force a mistake out of Lambert's butts and it's Lambert seemingly he's not going to crack not yet anyway so Ricardo van der ender it's not much he's not whining GT forecast over the years comes down the hill heading toward turn 13 then the round towards the chicane and Patrick neither Hauser yet to stop to give away to Reinhardt Koffler is the on the road leader but this is the real lead situation Lambert's versus van der ender the BM looked the quicker but he's driven spectacularly anyway up the curb everywhere van der Hendon darting around in the mirrors of Alex Lambert's try to force a mistake out of him but Lambert's hold his ground comes out of turn 17 now towards the line let's see which is quicker in a straight line that Mercedes or the BMW both big grunty cars pass the pitch they come down to turn one into the arena van der ender on the outside line is he going to go all the way around the outside would he get the switchback let's see braked ducks up the inside can he get hill Vander ender not close enough to really capitalize on that but what's significant is that corner two laps in a row tiny little error coming out of the leading car that rides the curbs once again race leader's then for the 17th time heading down the hill 66 the leading car then in the hand still of Alex Lambert I'm going to go defensive here because Ricardo van de anda yet again as he leaps over the curb filling the mirrors trying to be strap a leader pop sling him around the circuit now they come now into the right at turn 17 over the timing line once more so this now becomes the real he's being able to count back at the Mercedes to the eye the gaps a little bit less this time as they come out of the arena down towards turn five so maybe it was just a slight aberration or banner I lost seven tenths x2 so you gain you lose it seems there they are across the line and 2.3 seconds going onto the penultimate lap becomes a margin of two point six so again the Mercedes is the stronger now look at the background the KTM coming off the last corner goes past the pits and through goes Ryan Hawk off and that gap is down from 11 seconds to nine point nine I think he's going to get there into that but it'll be interesting to see how close he does get before the very end of the race [Music] [Music] next battle here is kisi and attacking the Aston Martin down two walls ternal something is not quite right there giving it slightly yoyo race pace but also the fact that because it lost ground off the start but anyway we'll get to the bottom of it on shore before race to tomorrow they will turn the challenging situations to factor it here as you see 66 Mercedes with half a lap having downhill here downhill goes 66 the race leading Mercedes half a lap to run having ups Lambert's then race winner act Misano you've got to say that he and Rama Monty who's done most of these racing of late at the French GT series have made a very good combination of drivers good pace admittedly did get involved in the example race stopping X good but that aside he said it made up for here as it comes up through turned 11 12 flip the car through that sequence of corners the run down here heading once more on that long long climb up towards the chicane this time around though it'll be the last run up towards the chicane and then to a second victory of the season a job well done for for Bullock team so Steven Patrick squad losing his car but a race win is going to come for the sister got here into turn 17 then number 66 Mercedes set for the race win Rama Monte Alex Lambert win rate swamp in the GT for European series here at the Nurburgring second across the line it is going to be the address BMW in the hands of Ricardo van de anda and you and McCoy and Ferb will be Reinhardt Koffler and the Patrick Nita Hauser seven point nine seconds our drift at the end they're set to win pro-am Gabrieli piano and co-driver marius xub and that is a fourth victory of
