hi everybody welcome to my channel rosie cooks i'm going to make a really easy chicken okay i'm going to use chicken legs i'm going to use sason goya with cilantro and achote this is a flavoring you put it in soups and lots of lots of different things it gives a beautiful color and lots of flavoring okay this is salt pepper oregano garlic and onion powders it's going to be really tasty okay i'm going to use some oil for frying and apple cider vinegar i'm going to make a little mixture i'm going to marinate my chicken it's going to come out really tasty now this recipe i don't know where it originates from but i saw a puerto rican lady making something similar and a lady from the dominican republic making a similar chicken so i'm gonna call it puerto rican style chicken so let's get started the way i saw this done they cut slits they cut a couple of slits in their chicken and then when they marinate you've got to make sure that the marinade goes into the slits and so it makes a more flavorful chicken here i have two envelopes of the sauce on i'm adding a half a cup of apple cider vinegar and these are my seasonings now i'm gonna give it a nice stir okay this is gonna add so much flavor to my chicken okay here's my chicken and i'm just gonna add this all over my chicken look at the color oh my goodness and because of those slits it's going to get inside deep into the chicken i'm going to marinate this for about a half of an hour 30 minutes just kind of move everything around make sure that that's that marinade gets inside the chicken pieces i'm going to cover it with a plastic and i'm going to leave it sitting on my counter for 30 minutes it's not a long time but i want this not to be so cold if i put it in the refrigerator it's going to be really cold because i'm going to fry this chicken 30 minutes so about 15 minutes into your marinating process move your chicken around just to make sure that this marinade is covering all your chicken gives it such a nice color i put my chicken on a plate i don't want it to be completely dripping when i'm putting it in the hot oil okay so now i'm gonna okay and i'm gonna cover it and let it cook for about 10 minutes [Music] okay here's my chicken it's been 10 minutes and it was covered so now it's getting a little bit toasty on the other side look at that that's beautiful i'm just going to let it keep going i'm going to go another 10 minutes i'm not going to cover it i'm just going to let it go like that another 10 minutes okay so i have one of these splatter screens i'm going to let it cook like that 10 more minutes take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes i'll check it after 20. okay so it's been 20 minutes and some of my bigger pieces are still not done so i'm going to give it look look at i'm gonna give it a few more minutes [Applause] and look how beautiful this is coming out okay here's my chicken really has a good flavor took a little pinch of one piece very very tasty and look at the color oh looks so good as well as the taste is very tasty thank you so much for watching thank you for joining me please give me a thumbs up if you think i deserve it really does help me out please subscribe and i will see you next time
