and one thing I know about you you are God-fearing black man all day you always preach the gospel yes since a kid you like and even when we were working together doing interviews you would always talk about your love for God where did that come from my daddy you know what I'm saying my dad introduced me to God um well he introduced me back to God you know what I'm saying cuz you know as a baby like he was you know he was you know your daddy the F man you look up to if you have one you know what I'm saying and I looked up to him and all he did was go to church every day you know what I'm saying he had me in there with him had me in the gym with him all that stuffff you know what I'm saying I just just seeing him like um like get on his knees and pray to God and cry to God and like just be humble and vulnerable and you know I'm right there and I can't see you I'm like who cuz talking to you know what I'm saying like I'm like CU tripping cuz being the closet in his prayer room you know like as as I got older and I would be in situations and I would come out of and he always used to tell me that you know the stuff that I was going through like he was he was his agent he said I still stuff like that type stuff and how you wake up every day you know what I'm saying it's like everybody made like a machine or something everything go together and stuff like that and you know it's just about you too so you talk about your father obviously your mother's Mama D who will go down in history as one of the most legendary iconic reality mothers in history um what I love about your mom is she never shied away from her past she's very honest about look I was a pimp I had hoes I used to have them run the block as a kid and and your as a black boy or any boy for that matter your mom is like your first love it's the first woman you love did you know that your mother was involved in that lifestyle growing up yeah I was right that she ain't never lied to me you know what I'm saying never lied to me um I mean you couldn't you know what I'm saying they our house was the house you know what I'm saying like where we stay that the tra house you know what I'm saying so I seen him come I seen him go seen ho like I say oh had the fck is in my room you know what I'm saying and in my sister room so we had to sleep with my momma you know what I'm saying I was grateful that she Ain make like [ __ ] sleeping there but like we would go in there and watch TV and stuff like when ain't nothing like during the weekend when a [ __ ] going on she would been un clean that the whole [ __ ] and she had Jay's doing that she had the J's cleaning our room once the weekend come we come home from school the rooms done been wiped down with bleach and rooms clean new covers and sheets I'm like you going to do this every week how you go buy some new covers and [ __ ] every week like a Airbnb yeah cuz like and um and we'll be in our room on the weekend you know what I'm saying watching you know TV or playing with our toyss or whatever you know what I'm saying and um you'll see little little straws and [ __ ] around the house you know what I'm saying like the drug straws yeah you know what I'm saying like like they used to take real straws that you get from McDonald's and cut them you know what I'm saying do their thing you know what I'm saying they ain't got a pipe they'll get it some kind of way they'll do it I was like damn and he was like my my play aunties and uncles cuz I grew up around them you know what I'm saying and they would be there you know a moment on the on the uh block or post it up in the Trap you know what I'm saying somewhere you know what I'm saying or we're earning somewhere you know what I'm saying they be right there with us you know what I'm saying like they the one that cook for us clean for us you know what I'm saying I'm sitting there talking to the people there day they they like hey look mama said you can't go out the house you know what you tried your first drug like took a drug or sold it both well I was a I was a teenager when I um I first started selling drugs and when I first started when I first did my first ever drug drug now weed I've always I did that since I was 12 years old 12 yeah I was 12 years old smoking weed you know what I'm saying when I got 16 my mama well all through my life my mama would slide me that liquor you know what I'm saying taste it Go and taste it but I wouldn't I ain't never I wasn't really own it like that you know what I'm saying but I was I've definitely been a weed head since I was 12 obviously you grew up and you're witnessing some of these crazy things surrounding you I'm assuming at the time you thought like this is normal this is you know what what I'm seeing how did you get first introduced to hip-hop and the desire to be a rapper I always tell this story cuz it like it's real like my grandma she talk school you know what I'm saying bless her soul my mama mama miss pet Patricia har um she uh she taught school at this this school called Rockbridge Elementary is in stone Mount and um I had to go stay with her so when I was staying with her I started first grade though you know what I'm saying so um first grade it it was cool I was just getting acclimated I she my Grandma had me want to always get AIDS and stuff cuz she would do stuff for me and stuff when I get all a she would just do stuff for me so ID be like I'd be doing all whatever I could to get straight AE you know what I'm saying I was I knew multiplication in first grade Vision all that stuff stuff I was on it early you know what I'm saying cuz my grandma school teacher she was on my neck you know what I'm saying know how to spell all kind of words you know what I'm saying and um second grade come around and second year I was there I uh I didn't know they was there already but they had been there but they just got a deal um and the dude Nam Mark and red and one of them was in my grandma classroom and then one day it was you know we was in the classro I was in my classro and I was walking out and I'm I'm a nerd little dude at that point I ain't got no hood in me at all you know what I'm saying and um and U they um they they came in and everybody was chasing them I'm like hey what going on and they were like go Mar go Mark go red go red and I'm like I'm just like dang like what what is this you know I'm saying I ain't never seen nothing like that like I said I ain't got no I a you know what I'm saying I ain't never even seen no you weren't exposed to exp to that like I mean with my mama we lived in the hood but I didn't know that was the hood I thought it was a regular house you know what I'm saying seen b is outside dead but I just you know certain [ __ ] you just think normal because your parent say it ain't nothing you know what I'm saying don't worry about that you know what I'm saying police here well looking all in the trash cans and [ __ ] don't worry about that it's nothing so it's nothing you trust them folk more than anybody you know what I'm saying it's nothing keep going keep pushing you know what I'm saying but yeah man so that was your introduction that was my introduction then cuz I I I looked at that and I said D I want that I want you know what I'm saying chicks running behind me you know what I'm saying and I liked it that it it was lit you know what I'm saying and by the time I moved back with my mama and this was the hood [ __ ] you know what I'm saying Tupac was in you know what I'm saying and bigot was in and I just had a I just always had a love for Tupac like you know what I'm say I could feel where he was coming from I was right there in it you know what I'm saying I could always feel where he would comeing from I was a little boy feeling that [ __ ] you know what I'm saying cuz I I'm coming from the hood I'm from this [ __ ] I can feel what he saying and everybody else could too like Tupac was like the and I ain't going even lie Andre and bit boy you know what I'm saying like they being from Atlanta yeah like you hear that all the time like you like damn bro like I'm that bro you know what I'm saying so I just related to that and I used to Dan to I used to dance you know what I'm saying like to get my little stress off you know what I'm saying or play football you know what I'm saying I had little activities I was doing but none of that [ __ ] really worked like rap you know what I'm saying when I started rapping and letting that [ __ ] off and I come about that beit like man like like a therapist session like I feel better you know what I'm saying like and I I mean after that man like I say man once I I caught that that bug and I knew I could do it once I got in the studio I knew knew I could do it not when I first got in there when I first got in there my my music was like the wackers man I'm talking about shout out to DJ threat he was the first one played DJ threat the first one that ever played my song like the first song I ever made in the studio and it was the lamest [ __ ] ever that [ __ ] sound like a Nickelodeon commercial and I wish I would have used it though I wish I would have did that [ __ ] and got a Nickelodeon deal you feel what I'm saying but that [ __ ] was like uhoh get him Scrappy get him uhoh get that motherucker uhoh hey man you take out the mother you got something you feel me like and I'm like and I'm talk I played it in the hood Club I gave it the threat he was like this your new [ __ ] I was like yeah my first [ __ ] bro like cuz I I used to be around him all the time you know what I'm saying so I'm like I'm listening to this [ __ ] he he was like he played it and everybody got up in the club and wed to the other room cuz it was like it called the Megaplex so it had like three four rooms in that [ __ ] and the room was like one of the chill rooms they had like 20 people in there and all 20 of them folk got up when that song came on bro them folk like man what going on man like the so that was my first time seeing that like you know you know being humbled like thinking like you can just make a song and everybody going to like it no it don't work like that you know what I'm saying like you really got to know how to do this [ __ ] this [ __ ] really got to be you got to be blessed to do this [ __ ] you know what I'm saying to put [ __ ] together and make a actual song and people be like H yeah you know what I'm saying and be moved by it like cuz I swear to God when I first got signed with John ain't nobody helped me he ain't play that [ __ ] all that helping and [ __ ] you did everything by yourself yeah like you got to go back in there and do that [ __ ] right everything hook like he like if you go to trillville side of that that [ __ ] man them folk got people in there doing hooks for them got singing on it all kind I had to do all my own [ __ ] I'm like cuz I ain't getting no help cuz you got pass troll on they [ __ ] you got cut cartel rest in peace you got got n person that person I had all the hood on my [ __ ] on my side it was just Street like I'm like I want some pop out man I want whole career even in TV like I just got it out the mud you know what I'm saying ain't no helping ain't no it just raw you get it raw you going to learn through these mistakes you f to make do the [ __ ] I came in with John and you were how old when you signed with little John 17 17 yeah and I but I already had my own following though you know what I'm saying for two years before that even happened I went to boot camp got out started to hit the street had that [ __ ] going boom boom boom the with some head bus I had that [ __ ] going just John wasn't even know it it was just me H wait his bus is all you yeah well I I'm put it like this I got it from the homies the big homies that I was at I I used to run to the club with all the time you know what I'm saying LT drama poo baby you know what I'm saying uh just just you know what I'm saying man everybody that was back then on the east side man we was run through the club talking about we some head Busters and then anybody get wrong anybody feel like they feel they felt disrespected we feel like we need to fight about it then you feel what I'm saying like and I'm this big this skinny you know what I'm saying I'm just in there fighting with everybody like hey man it it was like that was like the highlight of my life right there you know what I'm saying but it was just that's what crun come from for me you know what I'm saying cuz that's how we used to be in the club Le come on Triple 6 Mafia come on we end up we end there throwing bows we in there fighting we throwing people out the window like we done did some crazy we had some crazy fights bro I'm talking about glass window me and my cousin took going straight out the window cuz I'm I'm in high school you feel what I'm saying like I'm in high school bro you feel saying doing like real grown man barf fight type [ __ ] you know what say that's why when we when I when I really got acclimated to actually being like okay this what I'm I'm really going to be this like I I've been working on it since I was a little boy now I'm here I just got signed to Little John he never really and anybody can ask John he never had to do nothing for me you know what I'm saying like I always like we was all on tour not we went on tour he was going to go on tour and we was down in um Albany wherever Georgia State University at wherever that is I mean Georgia State whatever the Bulldog Geor Bulldog yeah GE Bulldogs yeah yeah we was down there we did they homecoming Athens I think ath yeah so we down there we did this our first time doing a show with John we signed to him but this our first time doing a show when he wanted us to do a show we already had the the state the whole state of Georgia and I had the whole South knowing head Busters but trivia just came in with never ever and I had just got on it you know what I'm saying cuz they already had it without me and John on it they John said no put Scrappy on there so he put me on there done pee and Li John did the beat again and that that [ __ ] went up we down there all in Athens and we get we this was like the first big concert I have ever done where it just you can't even see as far as It Go like it's just people and I did my song and everybody was they was they knew it they were just doing the head Busters punch your hand with your Fe and they was just doing that [ __ ] and I was just like I was rocking but but I was like Wow Wow like it was just and they was saying the words and [ __ ] I'm like how they know the words like and then trivia did they [ __ ] and I was on it they knew the word and I'm like man this [ __ ] crazy bro like then we go to the after party with him like this our my like for real this all our first time like like getting some kind of recognition of anything like people looking at her like oh like this you know what I'm saying I'm like what like oh oh no me there you know like guess them Flyers did come in handy you know and and and like I say skip for where I was at it like man that night we got into a fight at in in uh Georgia State we got into a fight with some f we get back on the uh bus Man trivia everybody that with them they like we F to go back to the a man it's a part of going on gotam go C the colge party though and I was just thinking I was we on the tour bus with John like and God just put it on my spirit he would like first I had that spark because I just did a big ass concert show I've never I only did club shows you know what I'm saying like Hood club shows so this is like a dream come true that I just did I'm right there with John and I this is his crowd and they know my [ __ ] and they it was just big like I I I had a bug in me then like I was like I I got to have some more of this so so while they were talking and everybody they were getting all the bus going to go home and [ __ ] back there lant them hey you know what I'm saying John like and I don't even know how I had the courage to even say this [ __ ] like but I said it like I was like hey man listen man like I really love to go on the road with you bro you know what I'm saying like I do whatever man I carry bags you know what I'm saying he ain't got to buy me no food I hustle for my own money and I get my own food I change clothes wash my clothes every city we go to I wear the same thing I don't give a [ __ ] you know what I'm saying like I just I need this [ __ ] bro like I ain't going home to no big house like I ain't got to like you know my mom ain't like that you know what I'm saying like she ain't sell drugs no more you know we stay in a little bit of house on Section 8 you know what I'm saying so I'm like bro like you know all man I rather be doing something constructive cuz if I go there man I ain't going to be doing [ __ ] like but some [ __ ] Ste in car you know what I'm saying selling weed or some [ __ ] cuz you got to taste of and that's the thing cuz the thing that I I I I know personally is once you're exposed to something there's no coming back for because now you see it it's tangible yeah and and that's how you're able to get out the hood and make something of yourself because you've been exposed to the possibilities of what life can be here you are you did local you know clubs here and there in Georgia you're now doing Stadium so I get it was that taste cuz you were like I can't after back you can't go back I I can't go back to Atlanta after being exposed to a St he going to go to he going to go do another one I'm like for real I'm like man hell no I looked at my manager at the time like bro he was like he did like he said you for real I like yeah he was like where your manager I said he right there he was like let's go I was like oh [ __ ] for real like yeah go ahead I like damn like got me a bunk in the back cuz rolled over in that bit I slept comfortable the whole way I was like I made it just then I made it you know like yeah you made it listen I I will say this for every black boy who grew up in the hood we all have that moment where we know we made it yeah so for you being on a tour bus with little John arguably at that time and East Side boy and East Side boys like top Hip-Hop trap artist man crunk in the world in the world at that time you know what I'm saying I'm talking about like he was like you if you was around John it was nothing to say like they a't have to say nothing like oh you on you good that's all they tell me E40 anybody I ever came in contact with they like you with John you straight you know what I'm saying it was it was just over it was just nothing need to be said you know what I'm saying and I respect that you know what I'm saying that he took his time out cuz he really didn't want to do it that first you know what I'm saying he was like Barry Gordon he was like I don't no kids man like he was like I ain't with that [ __ ] you know but he he he start [ __ ] with me you know what I'm saying and he I remember him telling me he like you know why I like you little bro he was like cuz you being uh when the when the engineer walk in and you walking out with the engineer in the morning when it's daylight he was like that [ __ ] is just like he said I don't even do that you know what me but I just be want to get it done I I remember just wanting to because like I said I a had no help you know what I'm saying I had to but we still had to put an album out and this was my first time I got my chance you know what I'm saying this that [ __ ] you he mhm everybody be knocked out sleep on drugs and [ __ ] I went on drugs yet I ain't even had tried one yet you feel I'm just on weed and I'm just on weed and water at the time you know I'm let that bit going crazy and N I just always felt like you know [ __ ] limited man you know what I'm saying time limited you know what I'm saying ain't nobody giving you nothing you know what I'm saying so I always thought somebody going to take that [ __ ] back or something like it was got my first uh produced beat by Eminem you know what I'm saying um that was that was great working with him and and fit in all them folk man like you know like after them I I wor and I'm G tell you networks and stuff and these these Awards shows and that was over selling and all that like you're not getting nothing we need to see what you got first you need to be here for a couple years you know what I'm saying you need to sell a few records you know what I'm saying now you a got to sell a record long as your song Hot and you lit you can get an award that year you know what I'm saying with a two-minute song with no brige twoin song No bridge and no cor you can get a you know and I don't I don't hate it I feel like it make it it open up doors for us because it make it easy for us I can go
