Prophecy Update | March 2021

uh these prophecy updates it's great to have people here for real uh it's a little weird sitting yeah it's a little weird sitting in here all by myself you know and these prophecy updates are so long the sound man would go off and get some coffee and i was literally by myself and so uh but uh it's great to have real people hey a lot to cover um and why don't you grab your bible uh and we'll get things ready to roll in fact why'd you turn in your bible uh to first thessalonians chapter five we'll get there in a second i got this little sign i wanted to say i want to be like saul i want to be on the road to damascus i thought that was pretty good um you all looks like you've been de-masked much many of you um uh like you've been de-winged or something but but you know that's the thing many of us would like to get things back to normal and it makes me wonder as a person who studies the bible will things get back to normal normal and if they do well that means in some ways to me that maybe that's the lord slowing things down before he returns but i don't think that's what's happening i think that what we're actually seeing is the the whole end time scenario ramping up and that's why so many of us feel like things are not normal there's so many weird things happening that's so not normal we we lost dr seuss this week and mr potato head all in the same week it's such a weird thing you know i remember as a little kid though you guys are going to think that your pastor is totally demented but um when i was a little kid i remember using mrs potato head parts on mr potato head like to me i thought that was funny you know and so i'd mix the parts up i mean come on it seems more anyway i'm confused i'm just really confused mr potato head wasn't was he really that much of a threat um but but as it turns out you know if if things get back to normal then then that would be a little strange because the bible says things are going to get sort of you know if you would worsen worse and the world today has a new narrative saying it's a new normal it's a new normal how many times have we heard that in this past year uh the new normal the new normal but i believe that's just an agenda to uh really get what what they want and power grabs and all kinds of stuff that's a little weird in fact i believe the new normal is really if you if you look at the goal insight it's what we talked about last time in our prophecy update we do them once a month these first fridays and um we talked uh last month and the month before about globalism a lot about that how that's where the world's trying to go globalism uh both in uh with political and economic and then thirdly also in religious uh globalism we're gonna touch on that a little bit even more tonight but the new normal is going to be controlling people governmental control because this coming world leader the antichrist is going to want to control everyone and so we shouldn't be surprised at this narrative of the new normal that's you know they're touting those of us who search the scriptures have found that this is uh that we're just seeing one of the signs of the times when they say new normal new normal new normal they just say it over and over again and it's just signs of the times that's the way i look at it things are going to get worse worse now by the way you'll find churches and they're not hard to find that don't believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and um and there's good christian people it's an in-house debate uh but if you want to be right you'd be pre-trib uh my my christian friends that are uh you know uh all millennial or preterists or post-tribbers when they're raptured uh they'll just change their notes on the way up if they have time uh but uh they'll be in heaven it's not it's not an essential doctrine of the christian faith but it is essential to study the scriptures and and i believe the bible uh really fits the pre-tribulational view and i'll talk a little bit about that tonight and that is that the rapture of the church happens before the tribulation and uh man i've been around this a long time and i've watched these sort of things come and go and fads and fancies and you know uh if it wasn't the fad of preterism then it was the fat of you know post-trib again and then it became pre-wrath or you know uh there's all the different fads that come and go and then again the pre-trib becomes a fad you know and and then people just kind of waver back and forth but i think rather than wavering we should be uh really searching the scriptures now one of the dead giveaways of a church or a pastor that doesn't believe in the tribulation pre-trib rapture view is um if you're like a preterist or an all millennialist where everything's kind of figurative there's nothing literal um in fact they kind of believe we're already we've already kind of are in the tribulation or it's already happened or we're in the millennial kingdom right now god forbid that that be true uh the millennium's supposed to be there's no more sin and a doing away of all evil and uh satan's going to be bound up i don't think that's happened right now the catholic church believes amillennialism pretty much along with much of the presbyterian church and others they believe in kind of different things but you'll hear those pastors saying things are getting better and better they're they've got a tough if you ask me that's a tough thing to convince people of things are getting better and better and you can you can you know make statistics look like uh well there's less murders than last year but that's a little bit like saying um there was so much coronavirus death and and nobody's talking about how wonderful it is that there's no more flu or pneumonia or any of the other uh things that have happened in pastimes uh so you can make numbers sort of do whatever you want but i believe things are getting worse and worse until the coming of the lord when christ comes see it's not that we're doom and gloom we're boom and zoom we believe in the rapture the sound of the trumpet and it's going to boom from the sky and we'll be taken up to be with the lord and that's something to look forward to and then ultimately when the when the lord jesus returns the second coming the rapture is not the second coming uh we meet him in the air on the rapture of the church first thessalonians chapter 4. but the second coming i believe will happen seven years after that event uh the tribulation period and then the second coming of christ revelation chapter 19. so our hope is in the lord and when christ comes we're not you know sour and dour doom and gloom we actually are looking for jesus christ tonight i'd like to tell you some of the most recent signs of the times that have kind of surfaced that would indicate that we're closer and closer to those times uh where where the world seems to be heading and what what does that have to do with the the coming of christ so let's start uh i'd like to start in first thessalonians chapter five this is a classic uh scripture about you know the last days the rapture of the church is mentioned there in first thessalonians 4 you know uh right there in verse 16 where it says for the lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of arctic and the trump of god and the dead in christ shall rise first and then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the lord so there's the wrath that's one of the classic rapture scriptures and the dishonesty of people saying well the word rapture is not even in the bible uh that's that i don't think i've been completely honest because the word rapture is not if you have the right translation you probably don't most of you probably don't read the latin vulgate how many guys read the latin vulgate translation yeah no one because none of us know latin anymore right but the latin translation is where the rapture the word came from the greek word in the original greek text of the original manuscripts of the bible would have been harpodzo in the greek it means to be raptured in the english translation king jimmy puts it this way those will be caught up together with them in the clouds caught up raptured harpodzo whatever you want to call it it means to meet the lord in the air it says it right here so the rapture is in the bible just not that word so let's be honest about the word rapture and and what have you but so after this discussion about the rapture listen to chapter five and this will sort of springboard our discussion this evening chapter five verse one but of the times and the seasons brethren you have no need that i write unto you for yourselves know perfectly that the day of the lord so cometh as a thief in the night for when they shall say peace and safety then sudden destruction come up upon them as travail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape but you brethren are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief you are children of the light children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness therefore let us not sleep as do others but let us watch and be sober for they that sleep in the night and they that be drunken are drunken in the night but let us who are of the day be sober putting on the breastplate of faith and love and for a helmet the hope of salvation for god hath not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation by our lord jesus christ who died for us that whether we wake or sleep we should live together with him wherefore comfort yourselves together and edify one another even as also you do wow this is a powerful passage notice a few things about this the thief in the night it's talked about here that the lord comes and the people that aren't watching that aren't ready they're going to be caught unaware now notice the word they there in verse 3 for when they shall say not you paul's not saying to the thessalonica church you're going to be caught unaware like a thief in the night but those those of us that are christians we're supposed to be people of the day watching uh we're waiting we're looking for the coming of the lord but the people that aren't well first of all the sinners they shall say peace and safety then sudden destruction comes upon them not on us why would destruction come upon them well people that reject jesus who if if you would he took the destruction that you and i deserved it's not that we deserve better than they in that story um but uh it's that we've been saved jesus died in our place substitutionarily so we're not going to receive wrath of god because the wrath that was appointed for you and me was taken when jesus substitutionally died on the cross for our sins that's the gospel of jesus christ so the they there is really important for when they shall say peace and safety then sudden disruption comes upon them but verse 4 you brethren are not in the darkness why aren't we in the darkness because we have the word of god thy word is what a lamp unto my feet and a light under my path we're not in the darkness we got a big bright flashlight showing us that the thief of in the night he's coming soon it's not like a thief for us we're looking for our savior so therefore verse 6 let us not sleep as others do there are some believers i think who are sleeping right now now we're not necessarily just talking about the godless atheist who has rejected christ but we're talking about some who sleep and are going uh does this sound familiar it's like the person jesus talked about in matthew chapter 24 when he said um the wicked servant says ah where is the promise of his coming um you know and and the wise servant is busy watching and waiting for the lord's return to be watchful that the event could happen like when a woman's pregnant it says here and then suddenly she has child pains like oh the baby's coming and then the bible over and over talks about how in childbirth you know labor pains you'll start to see contractions in the world like a woman in travail and they'll get more intense and more frequent as the baby's getting closer that's that's a bible prophecy 101 thing to know that that the bible compares it to like when a baby comes for a woman in in childbirth are we seeing those contractions today i sure believe so and they're getting more intense and more frequent but then it says so what are we supposed to do we're to be sober in the day watching and waiting it says put on the helmet of hope of salvation and the breastplate of faith um and then i love verse nine this is what this is one of the main reasons why i'm a pre-tribber the main reason one of them i've got about 100 reasons why i believe in pre-tribulation rapture this is one of the big ones for we verse 9 for god hath not appointed us unto wrath but to obtain salvation by our lord jesus christ who died for us so whether we sleep or awake whether we're alive or dead it doesn't matter saying or because we should live together with him when it's all said and done verse 11 wherefore comfort yourselves together and edify one another why do we comfort one another because we're not appointed into wrath but to obtain salvation now one thing i got to say about this because you'll hear the you know post-tribulation view they'll often say you know you raptured people i believe the rapture is going to happen before the tribulation they'll say you know you think that you're going to avoid all the wrath and trouble and difficulty one thing that i've never said is that we're going to fully avoid trouble i've always said you as a christian very likely will suffer persecution jesus said i'll live godly will suffer and and there's been horrible sufferings of christians long before any mention of a rapture uh or even you know even the old testament there were people that were believers in god that suffered greatly so don't get me wrong it doesn't mean that you and i as christians may never suffer in fact we likely will and i believe that even in these last days even before the tribulation period comes we could end up going through quite the levels of persecution even like the you know nazi holocaust corey ten boom days like we could we could see that kind of persecution even before the tribulation comes so it's not that i feel like we're gonna avoid all the trouble in the world that's that's not true you know most of the early church people died martyrs uh reed fox's book of martyrs that's that's sometimes what the lord requires us as christians to be willing to lay down our lives and and you should probably be mentally ready for that uh i wouldn't even have said that to a congregation 10 years ago but today you can kind of see the handwriting on the wall christians are becoming more and more hated and they're trying to bring in legislation as we speak we'll talk about this maybe tonight that's going to put us at risk for just standing on what we believe in the bible and it could cost us someday i mean in some ways we had a little taste of that you know we got letter after letter from you know the state of oregon and then oregon health association and osha and you know about how we were you know breaking the law we just wrote a letter and said we're not breaking the law you know we're we have a constitution in our country that says you can't interfere with our meetings um that's what we said and we wrote that back and then they were kind of silenced by that because they knew we were right they were the ones breaking the law not us [Applause] now that's that's great because we have a constitution that covers us that's great for now there's been a lot of countries who have uh turned in a way that they don't have freedom uh and we are it seems to me like our our country and a lot of our young people are really excited about losing those freedoms and making us more of a marxist socialist communistic kind of uh country they think that's so much better i've traveled the world enough to know they're not better i love the freedom that we have in our country and it's going to be the saddest thing to watch this country uh lose our constitution i think that there's a whole i can do all teaching on just that how we're so blessed of our founding fathers to be holding these truths self-evident the problem is nobody believes in truth anymore or truth is redefined there's no such thing as absolute truth so our constitution is meaning less and less the more our world gets into this relativism mamby pam be so open-minded that our brains are falling out kind of thing that's where we are as a nation so you know here we've got this issue of uh the lord reminding us that he says but you know the times of the seasons brethren you will know how will we know the signs of the seasons how could paul say this the answer jesus told us the signs um when the disciples asked in matthew 24 luke 21 we got several places in the bible where they asked when's the end of the age going to happen what's going to what's going to look like and jesus you know read matthew 24 wars rumors of wars pestilence disease nation will rise against nation or ethnos against ethnos as the greek word there ethnicity against ethnicity does that sound familiar and nations will rise against nation a people group against people group earthquakes and diverse places and all kinds of signs of the times jesus told us the signs so paul says but of the times of the seasons you will know now just a reminder nobody knows the day or the hour isn't that something the lord didn't give us that there are a couple places in the bible where god gave people days and hours and it's kind of amazing did you know and many of you bible prophecy buffs probably don't know this but remember the day when jesus rode into jerusalem on the little cult of a donkey and they were crying out hosanna it was palm sunday they could have known that that was the very day when that would have happened they didn't but they could have that's why jesus says he was going down was weeping over oh jerusalem if you've only known in this thy day well what what this day that the king of kings the lord of lords was riding into jerusalem that day they could have known if they'd followed through with daniel chapter 9 the 70 weeks of daniel prophecy that's kind of this profound prophecy we've done whole teachings on daniel 9 70 weeks prophecy but they could have known had they been you know studious and studied the book of daniel now you and i we have not been given a day nor will we know the hour that's not going to happen the bible makes that clear but of the times and the seasons brethren you have no need that i write unto you in other words you should know the times and the seasons the reason that's important is because you and i should be watching these times and seasons we're not supposed to be ignorant about these days we're living in and so like in hebrews chapter 9 verse 28 it says there so also christ was offered once for all all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people he will come again not to deal with our sins but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him isn't that a great truth right there um you know the rapture of the church and the end times should be a scary thing for people that are not saved but if you're a christian if you've confessed christ as your savior and repented of your sins the bible says he puts your sins as far as east is from the west so for us we eagerly we're supposed to be eagerly waiting for him now i know that some of you and especially maybe some of you at home watching online you're attempting to not even watch a prophecy update because it's too scary uh and i get that things are scary right now but if i was not a christian and had no hope that it'd be horrifyingly scary but as a christian i hope that this brings you comfort to know that this is all part of god's plan as it unfolds you and i we hang on for the ride but we have a glorious future and a glorious hope that's in front of us that's why we are eagerly waiting for him i hope you guys can can kind of take on that mentality that's what i want really tonight is uh prophecy updates are hopefully stirring up our hearts to do what the bible says that makes us wow we look forward to the coming of the lord when he returns now let me tell you about a little thing called the doctrine of imminence this is an important part of the pre-tribulation rapture view if you have any other view of bible prophecy a lot of things have to happen first before the rapture of the church could ever even happen for example if you're a post-tribber you cannot look for and hope for the coming of jesus christ why well there's a bunch of stuff that needs to happen before the the end of the tribulation period they got to rebuild a temple in jerusalem there has to come this world leader called antichrist who institutes his mark of his beast the beast thing and you have to wait through all that and then when he goes into the temple and declares himself sort of like god and declares himself to be worshipped then you know you have at least three and a half years until the second coming of christ like you can name the day and the hour by the way if you're a post-tribber and you see the the day that jesus and daniel talked about the abomination of desolation when antichrist goes to the temple it says exactly three and a half years and it even says it in some places to the day exactly how many days after that abomination that's when jesus is gonna return so you can name the day and well maybe not the hour but the day you could name the day when jesus would return if you're a post-tribber there's um there's only one view uh that that nothing else has that if by the way you're a kingdom now uh which tends to be more of an amillennial view dominion theology there's a view that says before christ can come back we have to elect christian politicians and we have to politically subdue the earth and bring things back under goodness and and then christ will come that's a depressing view if you ask me and we're not doing so good with that um you got to save a lot of people stop abortion stop you know racism and every other sin in the world and then hopefully things get good enough where christ can return that's more of the dominion theology or kingdom now theology and a lot of people view have that view that's that that was a popularized view in the last 10 years i'm going to say more than more than ever and you'll hear people on on instagram you'll there's language oh it's just all about the kingdom and us bringing in the kingdom question who's going to bring in the kingdom is it us man read daniel chapter 2 the lord's going to smash the kingdoms of the world with a rock that's cut without hands that's the prophecy a rock cut without hands meaning people have nothing to do with it but the rock's going to come tumbling down the mountain and smash the nations of the world and then that rock is going to grow into a mighty mountain that becomes a kingdom that is an everlasting kingdom it's not us bringing in you know the kingdom of god is even as like it's not us that brings about global warming uh i didn't want to get off on that one but um uh that's a whole other topic uh but it you know it's funny how we like to think of ourselves as more powerful than we really are more affecting some things of different things but the pre-tribulation rapture view is the only one that allows for imminence and what does that mean well imminence is uh you know the idea that jesus christ could come for his church at any moment we have no idea when it could happen um in fact there's there's there's three main component components of the doctrine of imminence um that you should know number one the certainty that he may come at any moment that's that's that's something that we pre-trib rapture people believe that um there's nothing that has to happen for the second coming of christ or for the uh or i should say for the rapture of the church um that that can happen at any moment eminence number two i know this almost sounds redundant but they're different the uncertainty of the time of that arrival um again like i said post-tribbers once the abomination of desolation happens you'll know exactly when christ is going to come so we're talking about the rapture of the church and the imminence of that thirdly the doctrine is the fact that no prophesied event stands between the believer and that hour if you're a pre-tribulation rapture person nothing needs to happen biblically that the bible says this needs to happen before that can happen nothing is stopping the rapture of the church all the other prophetic events that we could talk about as it relates to the second coming of christ or the rapture of the church if it's after the tribulation or even in the middle of the tribulation there's still things that need to take place before that can happen which means you and i shouldn't be sitting around saying we could be raptured right now um that's an important thing now um so the the pre-tribulation you know view calls this the doctrine of imminence now um if christ can return at any moment without the necessity of intervening signs and events then it listen this is important that it renders pre-tribulationism most likely and post-tribulation in my view impossible if you really want to have eminence where you say well how do you know it's supposed to be a minute well eminence uh in relation to the rapture has been defined as consisting of three different elements um uh that we we could talk about those three those three the certainty that he may come at any moment the uncertainty of the time the revival and the fact that nothing stands between that event um but look at these verses that i have i've got just a couple verses that i want to show you that shows that even in the early church they thought eminence was the key uh first corinthians 1 7 awaiting eagerly the revelation of our lord jesus christ there's an imminence there maranatha does anyone know what that word maranatha means first corinthians 16 22 if any man love not the lord jesus christ let him be anathema or and then he says maranatha now what does a maranatha mean we'll talk about that well actually i'll do it right now maranatha the word mar means lord anna is our and tha come lord our come meaning come our lord jesus come quickly is the idea it's the sarah arabic greeting that implies an eager expectation of the lord coming soon so the early church would walk around say maranatha and why would they say that because they they meant uh lord our lord come quickly is that is what that means and then philippians 3 20. i could give you 20 of these verses by the way for our citizenship is in heaven from which also we eagerly wait for a savior the lord jesus christ was paul just wrong because he ended up dying and he never saw the rapture of the church was he wrong the answer no he was right to live with the expectation that christ could come in his time that's the way the lord wants you and me to live and what if we're wrong whoopi do join everybody else in christian history who believe the lord could come at any moment that's the way he wants us to live when you and i live with an eminence where we believe the lord could come at any moment it purifies uh the christian church there's a purifying effect um on that i i liken that to what we read about in uh uh first john i'll just read it to you chapter three it says beloved now ye are the sons of god uh and it does not yet appear what we shall be but we know that when we when he shall appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is and every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself even also as he is pure what happens to the man or the woman that is looking for the appearance of the lord jesus christ it says he that has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure there's a purifying effect on you if you if you believe jesus could come back tomorrow you're not going to go down to the bar and get sloshed and sleep around town and take meth you're not going to do that tonight if the you just knew that the lord was coming back see and that's the way the lord wants to live with that eminence of his return that expectation i could show tons of scriptures on eminence but i just i'll leave it at that all that to say there's so many things happening around the world while there's no event that needs to happen for the rapture of the church to take place events that are happening are stacking up for the events that are going to happen mostly directly after the rapture of the church um what do you mean brett well um we'll show you some of these these events that are gonna happen now there's a bunch of things that we can talk about there there's some wars and stuff that we don't know exactly when they're gonna happen for example the gog magog war ezekiel 38 39 is a end times war that's going to happen and i believe it could happen right before the rapture of the church or right after the rapture of the church i don't really know for sure and you'll hear really legitimate bible scholars and people that study eschatology they'll debate on this one which when where is that going to be i've even have some of my favorite scholars who've changed in their lifetime they thought it was going to be immediately before the rapture then they went so it's it's a debatable thing like when the dog magog war is going to happen but if the magog war happens where russia iran turkey and some of these other nations the bible lists there in ezekiel 38 when they attack israel you and i can know for sure that the time is really short we don't know the day or the hour but if you see that happen we should all come down to the church and maybe do some songs and just kind of be ready who knows we don't know if it's going to be that day but we should know if that happens we're going to know wow we're getting really close to the rapture of the church really close um so but but some would argue no it's going to happen right after the rapture of the church by the way if i had to if somebody had to pin me down right now and say here's how it's going to happen i would i would say that i believe the gog magog war is going to happen immediately following the rapture of the church and there's reasons that i have that have to do with the gog magog war there's there's one nation that has the power to actually intervene with that kind of an invasion of israel but all that nation's going to do is sit around and go that's just really naughty of all you guys who would come to israel rescue if if it were the gog magog invasion the united states of america what's going to happen to the united states when the rapture of the church happens i believe that much of the united states we're going to be so weakened by the rapture of the church a bunch of our military we'll have a lot of politicians left but um no just just kidding just kidding uh i'm sure there's faithful um but you know our law enforcement and some you know there's it's gonna our our nation will be licking our wounds from a massive group of people being taken out of this nation and i think we're going to be ineffective and so like the bible says we along with the british this is a whole thing we talked about in ezekiel 38 we're just going to sit by and go you guys shouldn't do that but that's all we're going to do just slightly protest that's what's going to happen so when it comes to this doctrine of eminence that we there's events that are going to happen around the rapture but they don't have to happen before the rapture the church we it really could be the next thing on the list of things to do is for you and i to be taken up to be with the lord and we're to live with that expectation the doctrine of eminence that's important so all the things i want to talk about tonight are just evidence of things that are going to happen during the tribulation or even right before or after the rapture of the church i'll show you what i mean are you guys ready number one notice with me the escalation in the middle east um this is a big deal and largely the world is not really seeing this because we got our eyes set on is mr potato head legit or not uh the united states we're so focused on on uh dr seuss uh that we don't have time to worry about the middle east right now um some of the players in the middle east that you should be noting of course are these nations iran iraq turkey syria gaza lebanon if you want to call gaza a nation or whatever it's a place that should be uh noted but these are some of the hotbeds of things happening in the last week even of what's going on now i'm going to add two nations to this middle east escalation that are not middle eastern countries russia and north korea the reason i'm going to add those two flags in there is because they're meddling in the middle eastern issues and they're stirring up all kinds of trouble this even in the last few weeks i want to show you a few articles and i think you should be aware of the the jerusalem post article that came out um just just march 4th so a few days ago did you hear about the big oil spill uh there in the mediterranean this is a big deal and most people don't even know what happened but it was it was an intentional eco-terrorism uh act by iran according to israel now now israel you might say well bret they have an agenda they're trying to make the iranians look bad but the rest of the world actually knows this is all true an oil taker that came from you know iran sailed into the mediterranean sea went to the coast shores of of israel turned off all of their electronics and communications and gps and just dumped uh you know huge amounts of oil this comes from the the jerusalem post israel authority said wednesday that a libyan-owned tanker suspected of smuggling oil from iran to syria was responsible for spilling tons of crude in the eastern mediterranean last month causing one of israel's worst environmental disasters over 90 of israel's 195 kilometer or 120 miles uh mediterranean coastline was covered in more than 1 000 tons of black tar the result of this mysterious oil spill in international waters was an eco-ecological disaster these blobs of tar are just covering the coast of mediterranean the beautiful beaches when i go to israel one of the first places we take you on the first night is on the mediterranean sea and you get to see the sun set on the mediterranean it's really beautiful down there not right now uh oil is covering the shoreline and there's dead birds and animals and the ecological disaster the worst in israel's history has caused extensive damage and forced the closure of all the beaches and a ban on the scale on the sale of seafood from the mediterranean which you know israel right now is hurting economically because tourism has been shut down that's their number one industry that keeps them alive as a nation that's been shut down for a year now they don't get food from the mediterranean they don't get fish from there uh there's just thing after thing that's sort of taxing the israelis right now environmental protection minister gila gamlil uh said the uh panamanian flagged pirate ship owned by a libyan company identified as the emerald filled its stores with oil in the persian gulf then sailed with the transmitters off toward the coast of syria ministry officials said it is believed to have dumped the oil in the eastern mediterranean around 70 kilometers off the coast of israel lebanon now this is where this is why this is important what what what's so what no oil spill we've had them here in the united states in the you know gulf coast down by texas and stuff we've had that so whoopee doo big deal the problem is you gotta understand we're pretty chill here in the united states everything over there is a powder keg nations hate israel and israel is defensive because all these arab nations surrounding israel have been shooting missiles and rockets at them for decades so it's it's not just a nice little home did you spill some oil on our beach lebanon the northern uh country above israel says it's going to sue israel because of the oil reaching its shores even though israel had nothing to do with it this is basically and some are arguing it was on purpose eco-terrorism by the iranians the jerusalem park uh post article said iran intentionally polluted the mediterranean sea and israel's shores in an act of ecological terrorism um and then israel now when israel says something like what i'm about to read they don't make threats i hope you understand that by now when israel says this unlike the united states when they say we will settle the score with the polluters in the name of all the israelis for the harm to our health our nature our animals and our view she vowed we cannot abandon our sea our sea is a natural treasure that we must protect so israel says they're going to retaliate because of this oil spill so it just adds to the tension um and that's just one thing um and so the beach is just kind of a disaster all these oil blobs everywhere dead fish dead birds and what have you um okay so that's just one little event what about this one did you see the israeli cargo ship just attacked a few days ago a huge you know ship that was uh carrying vehicles thousands of thousands of brand new vehicles with gray zone attack on cargo ship iran israel tensions enter murky waters nothing new here as far as that but the alleged iranian attack on an israeli-owned vessel over the weekend might seem like stuff of spy movies but it fits in entirely with iran's modus operandi and national interest the iranians like to just stir things up and they really want israel to attack them because well does anybody know quiz time let's see if you guys were listening in previous prophecy updates why do the iranians particularly i should say you know the religious and the political leaders of iran why do they want chaos with israel and the middle east anybody they're looking for their messiah the shiite muslim wants the 12th imam the mahdi to come and for that prophecy to come to pass their eschatology says there has to be absolute catastrophe death and bloodshed and not just in israel and all the other surrounding nations but even in iran itself these clerics preach that uh in their mosques and it's one of their world views so they want to stir the pot you know have you ever wondered why did they take our soldiers in our military vessel you know those years ago and parade them in front of the world like you know they're captives and why didn't we blow them out of the water when that happened and what was the deal with all that well that was back we had a different administration who wasn't really willing to toe the line and so iran was able to take little pot shots at the united states if you'll notice the you know the trump administration people weren't really taking pot shots why because they thought he was a little crazy i mean if if you're an array if you're an iranian you know if you really want cass why didn't they just you know keep flicking trump you know and say hey you know that that could have brought in their mahdi because uh you know because he was but it is funny how much of the world uh was really silent geopolitically during the trump administration what's happening now we're in the first days really the first several weeks of the biden administration and what's happening now it's the flicking of the ear iran is you know shooting this this cargo ship um there's a photo here of this big ship it's a huge huge ship but they shot these missiles now thank the lord the iranians are not great with some of these weapons um because they shot both sides of this ship um but both holes were above the water line um so they in fact one i've got a picture of one of the holes uh like that's thick steel right there and uh the missile went right through that uh and put a hole in there but fortunately it was above the water so the thing didn't ship but the uh punch two holes one in the port side one on the starboard side just above the water line another little uh stirring up of things israel strikes syria in response to iranian attack on israeli commercial ship do you realize you know this this idea of the syrian state television reporting new israeli air strikes against the capital of damascus damascus is a hotbed of craziness i've done whole prophecy updates on all the different groups in syria and and the mess up there the civil war and and assad and all the regimes and there's there's such a complicated mess up there but as a bible prophecy person the thing that we need to mainly make note of is you know as a christian i think first you your heart breaks for the people that are still in syria like if there's anybody left um that that's a horrible thing and a lot of christians were just ousted and uh like it's really quite a story there in syria but but so as a christian your heart breaks for the people but as a prophecy student what you should be noting is there's all kinds of stuff that's happening in sarah which is right on the northern border of israel all kinds of things happening there including the iranians stockpiling weapons right on the northern border of israel this is a huge problem all these missiles and weapons uh and you know they're trying to build that up syrian state news said that um the syrian air defenses were active in response to an israeli aggression in the vicinity of damascus after explosions were heard above the capitol according to reuters the strike was reportedly near the international airport while israeli military has not yet confirmed or denied the airstrikes which is typical of those kinds of attacks they've happened on a weekly basis over the past year israel public broadcasting is now saying it it's in response to the iranian attack on israeli ships near the gulf of oman so you say brett why would they shoot into syria because of the iranian attack on the ship in the mediterranean the answer is because there's all kinds of iranian weaponry and soldiers just on the northern border of israel just poised postured and some of us believe the russians that are there the americans the iranians and all these other nations turkey all these players are there in syria and some people think it's all about syria but i believe that more likely very possibly all those nations are gathered not because of syria but because of the gog magog invasion of ezekiel 38 that says it's going to happen all the players for the most part i should say not all but you know like for example uh sudan is part of this attacking group and you say brett they just made a peace treaty with israel with under the uh trump administration yeah but do you understand in one day that can change um like that's i'm not worried about that that could happen just overnight suddenly sudan joins with turkey and russia and iran in their uh hatred toward the jews that wouldn't be a shocker at all the shocker is that trump was able to broker four peace treaties in the middle east in his presidency that's that's the shocker that that even happened um but um saudi arabia is right there too of making a deal but um and they still might who knows doubted though with the current administration at the helm but all that to say um you know there's the the news just keeps on coming of the the stirring up syria newsweek magazine once uh end to israel's terrorizing strikes and russia uh iran turkey agree who all agrees russia iran turkey the gog magog nations the three main ones they all agree that they want israel to stop terrorizing and could this be the building up of the case uh against israel of why they would ever attack israel what is it that's going to bring them well ezekiel 38 says there's going to be a hook in russia's jaw or you know like to drag her down into israel there's going to be something that will make her just unable to resist uh to attack israel uh and if you read the gog mega vision ezekiel 38 39 it doesn't end so well for these nations russia iran and turkey they end up being completely destroyed but in this newsweek article it says in a joint statement in moscow tehran and ankara condemned continuing israeli military attacks in syria in violation of international law and international humanitarian law and undermining the sovereignty of syria and neighboring countries as well as endangering the stability and security in the region uh and called for a cessation of them um now one of the things you'll see um what is it the iic or icc um that international you know uh panel that's uh condemning israel they had a big panel and judges uh condemning israel do you guys see this just a couple days ago they voted and pretty much said israel is a terrorist state because of their shooting in syria people don't understand what they're talking about israel is a tiny little nation the size of new jersey our state is surrounded by massive arab nations that have weaponry and missiles pointed at them israel has missiles flying across their borders daily the only reason we don't hear about it is because israel just happens to have the iron dome system where these rockets come across and the israelis they can you know triangulate and shoot down them before they even hit the ground um the israelis are so good at this they know oh that missile is going to hit a field over there let's not waste our iron dome system on that one and so the missile comes and blows up a cow or something once once in a while um which is tragic uh when you unless the stake is still salvageable but but uh but all that to say you know we got this uh this this thing where the world is the narratives those jews are terrorizing the land meanwhile one thing you should note and watch this how the biden administration our current president is sort of declassifying many terrorist groups that were once called terrorist groups he's saying oh they're not terrorists one of those groups is the revolutionary guard in iran he has declassified them as a hostile threat to the united states which is craziness so all this thing you know moscow turan tehran ankara these these cities are all from turkey russia and iran are all saying israel is the terrorist state they're sort of building their case um and you know one thing that's kind of fun is to go online and see these uh images and videos of these rockets that uh were going from syria and and from gaza strip into israel and watch the iron dome shoot them down it's an amazing thing amazing technology but you can also see the rockets of israel going into syria and blowing up damascus and it's really a horrible thing now by the way for you bible prophecy buffs not only are we talking about the gog magog invasion ezekiel 38 39 and the posturing of that here but another prophecy that you should be aware of and reminded of whenever you hear the word damascus the city d-mask us um if you hear the name of that city in the news it should make you watch because isaiah 17 gives us that prophecy about damascus uh it says there that is isaiah says in isaiah 17 damascus will become a ruinous heap never to be inhabited ever again it's just that simple the thing that's amazing about damascus is it's the oldest city in the world and it's been inhabited as long as any city in the world's history not like like look it up it's an amazing thing so that prophecy has yet to come to pass and yet the posturing of that is so likely that damascus it's being bombed as we speak by israel now israel has made a threat and again i don't i don't think israel makes threats lightly but i've told you of this before when the iranians and hezbollah up there in the north which is funded by iran um you know hezbollah is the radical muslims up there in lebanon and also in syria they've been pointing their rockets at israel for decades tens of thousands of rockets fortunately most of their rockets are really a waste of time they're really old old russian you know katusha rockets and stuff like that that are not very accurate and fortunately it's not a huge threat but israel made a statement like you know 15 20 years ago they uh they said listen if any serious missile comes across this border of syria into israel and and i use the word serious not the katushas but if a rocket like a big one comes then israel promises they will make a parking lot out of the city of damascus it's just 20 miles north of the israeli border when we go there in israel we go up to mount ben tall on the golan heights and we look over syria and it's quite a view but if you stay there in the evening you can see the lights glowing from damascus just on the horizon that's how close you are and israel says if if one of those missiles comes across our border we will level damascus some believe implication nuclear weapon israel has had that for decades and decades they could easily do it and syria would have nothing to say about it and that prophecy would come to pass just like that in the blink of an eye that really could happen that could happen before the rapture of the church even it doesn't have to happen afterwards so that is something to sort of watch so these rockets from from from israel into syria it's happening even as we speak ap article u.s warns of military response to rocket attack on iraq base the middle east it's not just israel and her border but the whole middle east is kind of full of madness right now there's all kinds of stuff and and again so much of the stuff we're missing because we're worried about are there boys or girls and and in between uh bylaw is there a biological should men be able to run on a women's track race that's what we're focused on along with mr potato head and dr seuss so a lot of us are missing what's really happening in the middle east right now um but you know uh that we were attacked uh one american citizen was killed a contractor and several american soldiers were wounded just even a few days ago um this came from uh the ap when it said the white house warned that u.s may consider a military response to the rocket attack wednesday that hit an air base in western iraq where american and coalition troops are housed um 10 rockets slammed into the base while no group claimed responsibility it was the first strike since the u.s bombed iran aligned militia targets along the iraq syria border last week that was the united states and i have to say it seems like it was a fairly weak attempt for for this current administration to sort of answer some back uh and so they kind of threw some bombs over that didn't really do much um and so they're saying you know the tit for tat kind of thing they bombed us so we'll bomb you okay we'll bomb you and that's what's happening but that tends to escalate that's something we should be watching the bbc article um us outraged by deadly rocket attacked on bill which was february 16th another rocket attack and this again one that most of us haven't heard about but it says the u.s has vowed to hold accountable those responsible for monday's rocket attack in iraq's kurdistan region that killed a civilian contractor so uh more and more people are being attacked american citizens are being attacked by iranian people in iraq right now the iranians have weapons in iraq and they're and they're getting more and more dangerous in a statement secretary of state anthony blinken said washington was outraged by the attack and they believe it was a previously obscure pro-iranian group that launched this uh strike the guardians of blood brigades militia um they claimed that it targeted the american occupation uh that's what the washington post recorded about that so this is thought to be the first uh missile attack on western targets in our ass iraq since the uh joseph biden's uh administration took office and basically we had this little weak response from the february 16th bombing and then we bombed syria and then they bombed us back and and that's escalating so the question is what's the biden administration going to do next um if they go like more of the obama administration you remember the red line uh that we said cross this and you guys are telling us they crossed it and we said okay cross this line here then you'll be toast uh that was not but um but uh if you recall the previous administration uh you know trump's administration when when uh they did that they sent the mother of all bombs the moab bomb remember that that's what they called it uh and it that was the closest thing to a nuclear explosion that you can do it without using a nuclear weapon like it was huge and it uh and it quieted everybody down um uh you know there's a big philosophy question i'm not arguing necessarily one way or the other but you can try to you know be nice to everybody and and hopefully they like you enough and everything's good or might makes right and one thing that we westerners very much don't understand is you know the middle eastern people have zero respect for the nice policy for us trying to be buddies and do all this they only respond and and honestly they only respect uh power and might and um you know the idea of of uh you know their certain destruction is is something that they worry about uh when it comes to their own lives personally now um you you say okay brett got it um well there's there's so many more things i told you i'm gonna do a little bit of shotgunning on the topics because there's so much going on and all of these relate to these end times things whether we're talking about the isaiah 17 destruction of damascus the ezekiel 38 cog magog but even in the book of revelation we just studied the book of jeremiah how did the babylonians how were they defeated by the medes do you remember what they did to get into babylon they dried up the river euphrates remember the story and busted through the bars we looked at that on wednesday night did you know there's coming another time in the future where the euphrates river is going to be dried up again um i'll show you where that is but but this is why this news made some of us prophecy buffs uh sort of uh think wait a minute what's going on the turks turkey is drying up the euphrates river so that by the time it gets down into you know iraq the iraqi low it's the lowest level the river's been for uh centuries this is a little video shot by a dude uh with his iphone um and uh you can see where the river is normally measured there uh and and now you can see where the river is and the video this was obtained by the vdc shows the water level indicator of the euphrates river indicating that the waters reached a deadly limit as turkey decreases the flow despite the electricity shortage due to turkey's actions the impact on the farmers and all of the population of iraq will be catastrophic see you and i look at a video like this and we think yeah so they're having a little drought over there no this is a massive drought caused by another nation and it's going to have a lot of impact on famine and death and um you say okay brett so that's bad news for now but this is where the book of revelation this and again i i'm jumping topics and stuff here but i'm doing that because there's so much stuff to talk about revelation chapter 16 do you remember there when the bowls of wrath you got the you know you got the trumpets the seven trumpets but then you have the the the vials of wrath of the bowls of wrath well the sixth angel during the tribulation period remember revelation 6 through 19 is all about the tribulation that seven year period after the rapture of the church one of the things that's going to happen is this the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river euphrates and the water thereof was dried up that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared and and it is interesting because that is a literal you know prophecy that i believe is going to come to pass in the in the during the time of the tribulation and so this is a sign of the time right now turkey who's going to also be involved with the gog magog invasion turkey which is the chief right now erdogan i've talked about this guy for a long time now you know the leader of turkey he wants turkey to become the new caliphate you know and he's desperately working on that he's changing all the churches into mosques in his country and he's become they're becoming more and more radicalized turkey was it was a friend of the united states and even a friend of israel until just 10 years ago things have been getting more and more tense and now erdogan is driving turkey to become this muslim caliphate which wants to pretty much control all of islam and he has a massive agenda to do so and this is why he's doing what he's doing it's all about control and erdogan is drying up the euphrates river as we speak what does that mean i don't know but it's again one of the pieces being put in place uh for you know um the end time scenario okay so that's just the middle east uh and i'll probably dabble in fact let's kind of do one that sort of goes into both uh number two uh we've got north korea and iran uh interesting bedfellows they are uh i think this is an interesting thing um there's an article that comes uh um from the heritage foundation about the iran north korea axis rides on and and they're they're worried about them becoming tighter and more uh working together um what are they working on well as it turns out you know the north koreans are all about their missiles and their technology and p and the experts are worried very much worried about what actually does the north koreans possess and um and most experts believe they've they've gotten these um intercontinental ballistic missiles at their disposal now that are nuclear weapons not only can now they reach portland and uh los angeles and seattle but these missiles now some argue could reach anywhere in the continental united states that's a problem when you got a guy like you know kim jong-un uh with the with the football or the button that's a problem um we've got that that by the way is the iranian shahab three medium-range ballistic missile which is based on the north korean uh no dong one missile is what they call it um remember trump used to call him little rocket man or whatever kim jong-il is really into rockets and building high-tech rockets but they didn't quite have the technology in iran that the north koreans did so the cooperation between the two countries it's really dangerous um and what's even more dangerous is how chummy the iranians and the north koreans have become and by the way china is also in on that uh this to some degree you know during the past four years we've been so focused on trump and the elections and the coronavirus many people haven't even noticed the problem that's increasing all around the world problems during the transition between administrations four years ago president obama if you remember emphasized to president then elect trump um that the dangers in the world most one of the greatest dangers was the the ones that north korea presents trump administration tried to uh you know level with north korea and uh and even we had negotiations with uh pyongyang but for a while it seemed to work north korea stopped launching missiles during the trump administration into the you know the sea of japan they stopped testing nuclear weapons so a lot of people viewed the trump administration as a big win of subduing the north koreans and they even turned down the rhetorical heat uh that they had been on at least for a while but the experts say in some ways it was already too late by the time the trump administration got at the helm it was already too late because north korea then they were producing quietly during these last four years by the end of 2017 they already had an arsenal of over 100 atomic bombs and they've already developed their first thermal nuclear nuclear weapon and their weapons didn't stop uh uh you know during that in the quiet years the last four years some believe that the north koreans are still developing and now sharing their weapons with iran this is a problem most of the world acknowledges that man iran shouldn't have nuclear weapons what's the difference between north korea and iran well there's not much they're both a little nutty nations uh you know kim jong-un seems a little bit nutty but he's nothing like the iranian leaders remember the eschatology of iranian leaders is we've got to blow up israel we've got to cause chaos in the middle east at least the north koreans they don't want to die they don't want to you know the problem of you know it's called mad mutually assured destruction uh and most nations still think yeah if we blow the united states up with a nuclear weapon the united states are going to blow us off the map and it's just a mutually assured destruction and that allows for peace it makes us a little nervous when you think about how we can destroy those of you that grew up like me in the cold war you remember how we thought well the world could blow up five times over and that's we lo we lived with that over our heads it's so funny how we when the cold war ended we all thought oh god that's not over our heads anymore even though it was those missiles you know they destroyed some of them but they could still destroy the earth 100 times over now with all the weaponry that we have the difference between north korea and iran is the iranians want the weaponry and they're going to use it and they hope for mutually assured destruction that's what makes them significantly more dangerous last october north korea unveiled a new system more powerful land-based ballistic system uh showing significant new submarine-launched ballistic missiles uh the north koreans so they can sneak up on nations and places around the world including delivering a weapon for iran where the iranians want it and if the north koreans successfully miniaturize a nuclear warhead as they're trying to work right now they become a bigger threat to united states security um so all this you know kim jong-un has two main friends in the world china and iran those are the two friends of the north koreans and basically you should be concerned about those nations as it relates to peace in the world and uh if the middle east uh gets a hand on those north korean weapons then i could see the biblical narrative of the israelis uh defending themselves with nuclear weapons that's the biblical narrative i can see that happening really fast north korea and china are constrained by a desire to live and they want their families to live iran doesn't have that they're part of the what i call the islamic cult you know the shiite muslims their islamic messiah that's what they're working for even if it means annihilation in the short term so keep your eye on north korea watching what's going on there uh people are the experts are very concerned about this uh point number three uh to talk about what's going on in the world i've already mentioned a little bit china china china okay we gotta uh you gotta do it right here we go let's say china china china china china china china china china china china china china china china china china china china china president trump is not the first president to say china no hey look who said who said the question is what is basin and free and uh china so we have to bring okay that was edited just a little bit i'll admit um but uh funny nonetheless both were edited uh but uh yeah china it's been a big issue uh the chinese military continues to grow more and more dangerous with sad to say your dollars uh american dollars with u.s corporations uh money is coming in flooding into china and they're building the world's largest high-tech manufacturing base they're using that base to build stunningly powerful military right now people that aren't willing to talk about this they're sticking their head in the sand like russia they've spent so much of their money not on the people of china but on their military heavily spent on weapons designed largely now this is this is where it gets interesting one of the things that china is largely working on is the weaponry that takes out u.s satellites so are we as the united states uh getting ready to have more warfare in the space realm well it is funny that you know trump called it the space force but is the is the current administration into the space force i should have brought that video clip where the you know press secretary for biden when they were asked what about the spaceport oh the space force uh that's her view that's the biden view of the space force meanwhile china is spending billions and billions of dollars on ways to wipe out all of our satellites and you say so what uh we don't i don't need my phone 24 7. it's much more than that um you know you have to understand if our satellites are taken out we have huge problems of security um we're basically sitting ducks and we have no eyes on the rest of the world like there's so much uh that happens when we lose satellites that's not even funny um so you know basically you know um you know the 21st century equivalent of destroying the command and control center is to take out satellites um and there's strong indications that china and their space warfare capabilities are well advanced farther than ours by any stretch of the imagination mean in the meantime vladimir putin in russia has been focusing on extreme weapons so far they seem to have only limited success however russia still has more nuclear weapons than anyone else in the world you have to know that um and people don't understand that uh every day they in the united states grow further apart the russians and the united states but um there's always been rumors of wars like jesus talked about but the widespread threat of china and iran and north korea you know the widespread threat of china is is actually seriously on a new level the threat grows every single day much much greater and this is that war and rumor of war that jesus talked to us about and you know he said to be encouraged by those things be encouraged by wars and rumors of words yeah jesus said look up he's coming soon in the meantime walk in peace knowing that you're in his mighty hands we as christians don't have to be afraid of china or iran or north korea we look for the coming the appearing of jesus christ uh number four here's another thing that's uh totally unrelated to china the gender and the equality act are you guys familiar what's going on there um i hope you know the essence of the equality act is in addition to sexual orientation and gender identity is you know as protected classes to already existing you know federal non-discrimination laws it's basically taking you know some of the non-discrimination laws from the 60s and 70s and now saying we need to put you know transgender homosexual gay lesbian um you know basically it would prohibit employers preschools even religious schools and churches uh from making choices based on biology bodily privacy and their beliefs about nature and marriage it would apply to every single recipient recipient of federal assistance including every public school and almost all colleges and universities and though you know non-discrimination sounds good in the abstract it's it's not really what the bill is actually about the bill actually you should know this look it up don't be a dupe on this one so many people are just like oh that's so great everybody equality but it's actually about inequality the bill actually poses a devastating and unprecedented threat to free space free speech religious freedom the progress that women have made toward true equal treatment and in our laws and culture all of those things are being radically put in reverse uh women you know as far as the women's movement there are finally some feminists you know radical feminists that are coming out saying uh yeah we're not into this uh gender equality because it's undoing women all together we're canceling women that's what's actually happening and even the most uh liberal uh atheist is starting to say wait a minute uh we don't want to be canceled but that's what this gender equality act is gonna gonna do um you know there was a um you'll see articles like this all the time this is tragic to me you know what is the equality act well i already told you it's basically going to take out you know religious freedom and cancel much of our culture like articles like this you'll see all the time you know this comes from reason it says california bill would give one thousand dollar fines to retailers with separate girls and boys toy sections like this is the kind of stuff we're seeing all the time now um you know not only toys but also brick and mortar shops would have to display the majority of their products and clothing aimed at children in one undivided unisex area on the sales floor and they also will be barred from putting up signage that would indicate uh whether a product was needed for a boy or for a girl you know this this thing you know why what is so insidious about the gender equality and all this stuff the biggest deal and man we can talk about a lot of things but the biggest thing is this movement is saying god does not exist and god is wrong if you think he exists god said he made them male and female and the bible says this clear as a bell read the book of genesis jesus echoed jesus whose god incarnate emmanuel jesus said in mark chapter 10 god made them male and female and that's what marriage is one husband and one wife and that's the definition of marriage that's jesus you'll see a lot of the gay and lesbian groups say jesus never talked about homosexuality no he talked about what real marriage is and what god created and it's very clear on that one so we've got this thing that we have to kind of be praying about because it's it's just the world excuse me basically saying god is dead he doesn't exist and his our westernized view of men and women and boys and girls again we're so open-minded our brains are falling out nobody's looking at the biology everybody's looking at our feelings uh and how you feel and all that it's getting crazy things are getting crazier and they will get crazier we shouldn't be shocked when we call good evil and evil good that's a mark of the last days uh boy we're running out of time so let's keep moving uh number five the vatican anybody following the vatican it is interesting um and men there's a lot to talk about the roman catholic church and history and i've done all kinds of studies on that but um but what's going on with the pope these days well there's several things you should be making note of um pj media came out with this article i thought it was interesting vatican conference to promote mary as a jewish christian and a muslim woman yeah yeah that that's true i had to look it up and make sure it was true because it sounded so crazy and it's never ending quest the catholic church wants to build bridges between you know islam and christianity so the vatican is organizing a series of webinars entitled mary a model for faith and life for christianity and islam presenting the mother of jesus as in the words of a italian weekly famiglia christiana a christian jewish a jewish christian and muslim woman marries all three of those that's the way they're presenting it um now one of the things that you have to understand is this leads into what um the bible says is gonna happen in the last days it's um it's it's this one world religion that's gonna happen um uh by the way this uh the pope what's the first place he goes after his coronavirus lockdown uh usaid yeah the usa today article rockets strikes iraqi housing u.s troops ahead of pope francis visit just a couple days ago i believe he's there now if i'm not mistaken uh i think today and the next few days he's in iraq um and all this stuff but um it's an amazing thing that pope francis is visiting iraq why is he doing that it's part of this thing to bring christianity judaism and muslims all together ecumenicalism is another word we can talk about that where um that's what the last days the bible says in the book of revelation it talks about the woman who rides the beast in revelation chapter 6 uh uh 16 and 17. in fact let's once you grab your bible real quick we have time don't we um revelation chapter 17 talks about the mystery religion now let me make you this point cause i i think people might be uh debating on this one do i believe the woman who rides the beast in this story is the catholic church yes and no it's the catholic church and the protestant church and the muslim church if you would anyone who is left behind after the rapture so the rapture of the church happens earlier in the book of revelation chapter 6 through 19 is the tribulation period so here we're kind of in the middle of the tribulation period and what happens there's this crazy narrative it says um verse one and there came one of the seven angels which had seven vials and talked with me saying come saying unto me come hither and i will show thee the judgments of the great that sits upon many waters what's many waters it's the nations of the world read verse 15 it tells us the interpretation of that verse two with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication and the inhabitants of the earth have made made drunk with the wine of her fornication so he carried me away in the spirit in the wilderness and i saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast full of names of blasphemy having seven heads and ten horns and the woman was raised in purple and scarlet color decked with gold and precious stones and pearls having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication and upon her forehead was a name written mystery babylon the great mother of harlots the abominations of the earth and i saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of jesus when i saw her i wondered with great admiration the word there might be better translated astonishment what's this woman who writes the beast well question quiz time what's the beast in this story anybody yes somebody said antichrist he's called the beast in the bible in several places but he's this coming world leader but this woman is going to ride the antichrist this beast this world leader and and she's the religious babylon now this is where it gets really interesting um you know where did religion start to join against god in the first stories book of genesis tower of babel which was built in the land of shinar which is basically where babylon is and so this mystery babylon remember nimrod killed in the forest semoramus his wife was became virgin birth do you remember the the story of this they they thought she was a virgin birth probably not because we don't believe in that unless it was the true messiah isn't it interesting there's counterfeits but semoramus gives birth to tammuz this is supposed to be nimrod who came back in the second life and so they painted easter eggs and celebrated rabbits for fertility and they had a start day and the whole thing do you guys remember this is this new to you uh if it is you might want to pick up some of our other teachings on this uh but basically a religious uh cult was really started there so you got samurais tammuz nimrod and it became throughout all the nations different names whether it's venus and cupid astrath and baal um you know isis and horus of the egyptians they all have the same sort of weird religion that stems all the way back to the original babylon story this mystery cult babylonian religion kept going through the ages it was alive and well even in the roman empire and the romans had their priests of this religion and what have you now when constantine became a christian or so he claimed we don't know for sure um but he said you know the name of the sign of the cross we are to conquer and everybody's pretty much should be a christian now christians were persecuted and the blood of the saints were martyred and shed by this mystery babylonian religion that the romans worshipped i remember watching the gladiator movie and how the guy had his little idols of his family and he was burying him in the dirt and all that that's all part of that that's that was accurate that's what they did they they believe in the afterlife and all this stuff that was kind of a weird deal well when constantine came into power he made christianity the religion and suddenly in rome uh the roman priests of babylon of that mystery religion said what are we supposed to do we got our buildings we got our purple robes and our pointy hats and our you know traditions of you know when when taboos questioned when was jesus born was it was it probably december 25th no not even close opposite end of the calendar where did that come from as it turns out tammuz was born on december 25th so when constantine said uh okay you priest cool you just chill just be christian priests keep your hats and your robes and your traditions of yule log and mistletoe and uh hot cross buns and all those traditions you can keep those but we'll just christianize them instead of it being you know saturn alias or whatever we'll celebrate you know the birth of christ and we'll just change it all and over about 100 years they made that transition now you say brett what does that have to do with the pope well could it be that the pope and and there's a lot of roman catholics my roman catholic friends are saying brett we don't know what to do about this pope because you know he's embracing gay and lesbianism uh he's showing signs of that he's trying to say that islam is on equal plain as judaism and and christianity like there's a lot of nervous catholics right now because of what the pope's doing but what the pope is doing is feeding right into the narrative of this getting back to the babylonian religion that's referred to here that has been somewhat lost and see it's not just the roman catholic church it's any part of the church including protestant churches that aren't really walking with jesus or know jesus that's sad isn't it to think there's churches out there it doesn't shock me when i see some of the doctrine of some churches today that's so wacko you know if you see the united church of christ there's nothing christian really about that church it's it's crazy what they believe um but they call themselves christians they're they're not they don't believe that jesus is the way the truth and the life thus they're not christians for real churches that are not real and some of them are going to be protestants some of them be catholic whoever's not raptured with the church whatever's left behind there's going to be enough religion to sustain a new world religion that the antichrist the beast is going to come and allow that to happen now it says here that the woman is writing the beast but as you read it and and have we done teachings on this you realize actually the beast is taking the woman for a ride it's very different the woman's not riding the beast she's being taken for a ride by the antichrist and he's going to use that religious system to do all kinds of evil wickedness during the tribulation period why are you getting that you're giving me a headache the reason i want you to know this is because what the pope is doing today with his ecumenical movement very much matches what the world religions will all do during the tribulation period when they all come together in a seemingly beautiful move of ecumenicalism we are the world muslims and christians and jews all one that's not going to happen until the true church is taken out why is the true church got to be taken out first we're in their way stingy people like you and me who believe that doctrine matters people that actually say no it's kind of about the bible it's not about your little hair-brained idea that god is a woman who uh loves muslims and christians and uh like we we just don't believe that because that's not what the bible teaches those those of us who believe the bible we're this book of second thousand it says we are the one that's holding up we're letting the word letting by the holy spirit through the church we're holding back this coming world leader he will not be revealed for the second thessalonians says the man of sin the son of perdition the antichrist the beast he will not be revealed until the church be what taken out of the way that's what it says the rapture has to happen before that antichrist comes again another reason why i'm a pre-tribber and not a post-triber because the antichrist has to come on the scene but right now the church is holding that back read second thessalonians chapter two well i have a lot more to talk about and we'll have to wait till april to talk about that stuff but i've given you some stuff to think about tonight of things to be watching signs of the times i believe just these few things i've mentioned tonight are things that the bible's been predicting about the last days and it's amazing how all the little pieces are being put into place and it's pretty amazing what do i want you to do with this what i always say prophecy what is the spirit of prophecy anybody it's jesus that's right it's all about jesus what are we supposed to do look for jesus keep your eyes open for jesus don't look for the antichrist who's the antichrist i wonder who he is we may never know we might be raptured i believe we'll be raptured before he's revealed the second thousand two so were you looking for the antichrist no are we looking for the abomination of desolation no we're watching the signs of the times that get get our hearts excited about the return of christ the rapture of the church keeping your eyes on jesus that's what we're all about and secondly sharing the gospel of jesus because man there's so many people that are lost right now they're being sucked into all this stuff that we've been talking about and you wonder man where are their brains out they're just checking out of life in this world in logic and reason that's where you and i come in we need to share the good news of the gospel which is quite logical and quite full of reason don't be bashful in these days i believe if we're living in the last days which i think we are if we're living the last days we have some serious work to do amen lord i pray that you'd just use this time tonight to cause us to be ready waiting watching lord over and over in the scriptures you tell us to watch to wait and be ready to not be taken as like that thief in the night but be a children of the day and not of the night lord help us to be sober and watching with the helmet of salvation the breast flight of faith like it says there in first thessalonians 5. so lord use this tonight to stir us up pray your blessing upon your church in jesus name amen amen let's stand together let's close with the aaronic blessing the lord bless thee and keep thee the lord make his face to shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee and be gracious unto thee the lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace blessings on you guys and see you this weekend you're dismissed [Music] you
