hello i'm zed survivor so you asked for the traps guide here it is before we start i want to make some things clear trapping is a separate topic that i will discuss in another video these traps are the lethal and non-lethal traps that are used against zombies or players not to catch animals there are five traps in the game at the moment not including the molotov cocktail two are non-lethal meaning they don't do any damage but are used as a utility you can craft them with the engineer occupation but for these two there's an engineer magazine for each and if you find them you can unlock these recipes these are the smoke pump and the noise maker the smoke bomb is made with a cold pack two newspapers and one ripped sheets throwing a smoke bomb on a zombie horde will confuse them and block their line of sight you can use this to your advantage and also escape the horde when they're chasing you note that the smoke bomb is sometimes unreliable and it does not block noise so the horde will still follow your footsteps and so the smoke bomb is not as useful as other traps the noisemaker is made by combining an amplifier and seven electric scraps it has range of 17 tiles the noisemaker produces a small noise that attracts zombies you can throw it and move around with enough practice you will be able to split them up and disorganize them this way it will be easier for you to take them out in smaller groups noisemaker is great for sneaking around town and moving hordes where you don't want them to be because that's the primary use for it other three traps are lethal meaning that they do damage to zombies and objects these traps or should i say bombs can only be crafted with the engineer occupation these are the flame trap aerosol bomb and pipe bomb the flame trap is made by an empty water bottle some gas and ripped sheet the bomb itself doesn't deal any initial damage but it's like a molotov cocktail on steroids it starts a lot more fires than the molotov and this way you can be sure that the horde or the building will definitely catch fire also you don't have to use a glass bottle to craft this but a regular plastic water bottle flame trap can also be combined with electrical components which i discussed in the electronics guide the aerosol bomb is crafted by a hairspray aluminum and a box of sparkles it deals 70 explosive damage and has range of six tiles it starts a few fires and the explosion damages nearby objects zombies and players it will inflict two wounds on a player one burn and one scratch the pipe bob is crafted by a metal pipe three electronic scraps two gunpowders some twine and a saw it deals 90 explosive damage and has a range of seven tiles if a player is caught in the blast it will inflict minimum 2 wounds but usually inflicts about 3 or 4. both aerosol and pipe bomb deal significantly more damage to players when set with a motion sensor timer remote and regular detonation deal default damage pipe bomb and aerosol bomb also have explosion noise which attracts zombies pipe bomb blast is bigger and stronger than aerosols so the noise is as well be careful because you may attract more attention than initially planned and now it's time for the tip of the video traps share one thing with the molotov and that's the explosion upon impact so be careful when throwing other traps because you might hurt yourself and also there's a bug if you throw a pie bomb behind a wall and don't look at it it will remain active but it won't explode you'll have to look at it in order to explode [Music] that's it for this video hope you learned something new type in the comments what you want to see next and have a good one
