hi guys welcome to my channel so we're going to make this rock using blender's built-in rock modifier and then we're going to texture it procedurally i don't want to keep you guys waiting so let's get right into it head on over to edit then scroll down to preference in the add-on section type extra and then click on add mesh extra objects i have a three-point lighting setup and a camera over here in render properties i have the look set to medium high contrast exposure set to 2.7 gamma set to 0.6 just so that things look a little bit better so shift a mesh scroll down click on rock generator you might get a different rock from me but that doesn't matter add a hue and saturation node and give the saturation a value of 1.2 add a mix rgb and connect its color output to the color output of the hue and saturation node add a color amp and connect its color to the factor of the mix rgb node on the mix rgb for color 1 set the hex value to 6a6a6a for color 2 set the hex value to c9 cb d1 on the color ramp set the position of the white point to 0.645 on the black point set the position to 0.586 add a noise texture set the scale to 20 the details to 16 and the roughness to 0.8 add a texture coordinate node and plug the object into the vector of the noise texture duplicate the noise texture and the color ramp node to create a roughness map connect the texture coordinate node set the position of the white point on the color ramp node to 1 set the black point to 0.082 add a bomb node connect the normal output to the normal input on the principal shader set the strength to 0.755 and the distance to 0.1 add a voronoi texture plug the distance into the height of the bump node change it to chebychev and change the scale to 10. add a vector math node and plug its vector into the vector of the voronoi texture add a noise texture and plug its fact into the top vector of the vector math node set the scale on the noise texture to 0.7 detail to 10 roughness to 0.683 duplicate the vector math node plug it into the bottom half and change its value to multiply change the bottom half of the vector math node to 1 0.1 1. duplicate the vector math node and change it to subtract change its bottom value to 0.5 0.5 0.5 add another noise texture and plug the fact into the top of the vector math node change the scale to 0.750 the detail to 16 and the roughness to 0.683 and then just connect your texture coordinate node and you're done the mixer gb controls the color of the rock this color ramp right here controls the roughness and the varanoi in noise textures coupled with the um vector math is just adding a layer of texture to the rock and you can of course increase the bump right here using the bum nude and if you followed everything that i did this is what your rock should look like not something crappy looking so thanks for watching please like and subscribe and have a good day or night
