Today, police clash with protesters on campuses across the country. Meanwhile, here at the University of Washington, the protest on campus continues to grow. They tell King five Cornelius Cornelius Hawker, they are not leaving until their demands are met. The protesters here at this encampment behind me have three demands. They want udub to cut ties with Israel and Boeing and also stop silencing Palestinian voices on campus for almost seven months. Protesters have used that chant at rallies demanding a cease fire in Gaza. University of Washington. Students join a growing number of colleges with encampments. But unlike the scenes playing out at other universities, things here are calm. The demonstrators hope it stays that way. We can all see atrocities that are being committed. Zoe Reagan is one of the organizers. These videos coming out of Columbia and UCL A and Humboldt State students are being met with police in riot gear. Police have arrested hundreds of college students across the country. Countless videos show cops making those arrests. Zoe says their encampment is ready for whatever happens. We have a medic tent set up just behind here when I think of what's happening on other campuses I think of the fact that like state violence is a problem like all over this world, Joe who asked us to only use his first name says the video from other colleges is shocking, like concern for people coming under like violence of the police at other campuses. Well, he does have some concern about his safety. Joe says it's important for him to be here. I'm here as a Jewish person to say that like there's a lot of Jewish community that stands behind that message in a strong way. That's the feeling for many of these students. They're here because they feel compelled. I think it's really heartening to be part of a movement of people who recognize what is right and what is wrong. A university spokesperson said they're keeping an eye on the situation and that campus safety is their main priority. So if they feel things become unsafe, they'll step in at UDUB Cornelius Hawker.
