What a nice video, super relaxing
The quality and availability of over-the-counter products has really gone up in the recent years. Even being able to get Meguiar's M105 and M205 at my local Walmart.
They just do an excellent job of videos. Watching the 8 minute video of them cleaning wheels just made me have that feeling when someone does something nice for you.
LOL!
"We don't want to use Mother's quick detailer, because it has polymers in it, and we want the paint absolutely clean for polishing."
Ok...
"So for lubricant, we are using ONR instead."
A product specifically formulated with polymers. *facepalm
Yes, I know ONR is safe, been using it for years. But come on...that statement was a bit cringy.
Also a bit cringy, the products chosen were nearly all professional or boutique quality products. I don't think any professional detailer would scoff at any of those products, with the sole exception of maybe the Mothers clay bar kit, because the bar isn't big enough, the clay isn't aggressive enough, and the Mothers QD doesn't have near enough lubricity or dirt lifting capability. Otherwise, I would say a large cross section of these products are in many professional detailers kits.
I mean, at the end of the day, this is an AutoZone ad, and everyone is going home with a paycheck. But the point was a bit lost with what they chose. I would have rather see someone try and polish a turd with some TurtleWax or some NuFinish, or the consumer grade Meguiars products.
Ok but who realistically walks into a store and buys that amount of stuff just to do a car. Watch the beginning closely where they just grab stacks of pads and buckets and stuff. Iām just calling out an important detail in no way am I hating on the video.
I always wait until these supplies go on closeout at my local store. You can get a ton of great products at auto part stores.
Awesome video. You show that there's no need to spend a lot of $ on detailing products for great results.
Thank you for posting this OP, this channel is great!
I've been using mostly Meguiar's and other off the shelf products for over a decade. A few online only things have made it's way into my arsenal, but those are mostly new products, not replacements for something I was using before.
