Hey, guys. Chris here. Welcome back to on our Amazon vlog. Today I'm going to show you
what it looks like to deliver at night. So right now, it's about Sunset Maybe
like in 30, 45 minutes, I'll be sundown. Can't see a beautiful sunset today
because it's a little cloudy. You see, the sky is orange and nice and but right now, it's just a tad dark. We got, like, 40 stops left. And around 7:00. We're a little on the slow side,
but that's OK. Just got these five totes,
and I can show you what it's like to deliver at night. Now, if you're starring at Amazon and you have a late start time, you'll be
in the dark for, like, an hour or two. But, you know, most of your work will be
done during the daytime or so, I hope. So let's get going. All right, turn that off. And I just want to note
that we are also in the ghetto, which I'll make
another whole video about it and what it's like to deliver
in the ghetto. The ghetto isn't as bad
as people make out to be. I mean, don't get me wrong. You rather deliver in a nicer area. But it's not too bad All right,
let me show you what I have left. Turn this off. Just this little area right here. And then we got some things
we couldn't deliver because there were apartments
and no one answered the bell. If this is a nice neighborhood,
I would leave it. But since we're in the ghetto, we'll just have to reiterate
that at the end of the day. Fun night, mood. Hold on. Let's put this on dark mode. Boom! It's fair to say, cause Lin's white,
it just. It blasts right in your face. But here
during nighttime, and it's getting dark. This is perfect. The problem with the streets
here, it's too narrow. You can see this is the one way. And there's limited parking on each side. So you just got to be careful. Oh, dog. What's this? 23. 2123 I live right here. This one. They want the back door. Or that dog found me to follow. Oh, he was too slow. The next stop is right here. You always got to be careful
of blocking people's driveways, because sometimes people freak the freak. The freak out. Dude, for another time, you'll probably be driving at night
if you do a rescue. Because some people were really slow or they had a bad day, and then you need to rescue them. But here, rescues are optional. Some groups make rescues mandatory,
so be careful with those Oh, my God. You got to see that. They also pulling the step man needs to change the gears like that. Yeah. Step bands are still considered
part of the fleet with these EVs,
and we do have a couple of cargo vans. Those are for the new drivers. Eventually, they want to get rid
of the cargo vans, but until that time, Have all three. Oh. What's the guy doing? Do you know? Be careful. Just come off like that. You got no time to lose Beauty salon. I got access key. Ready? Guys. Watch this. Oh, magic like door to door. No, I realize, guys. My last video I did feel about
just doing solar apartments and how you're supposed to deliver
to the doors. I recently found out
that's just for our DSP. And there's one reason. And one reason
only. Only for us
is because we deliver in the ghetto. Oh, they don't like that. They knew I was coming It's only for our DSP because we have so many dinars,
which is did not received. People called saying their package
was missing or they didn't get it. And the number one reason why people don't get it. Poor, tired. Come and take them. Happens a lot here in the ghetto, though. The way the routing system works at Amazon
is, is that if you spend more time in apartments, it's
going to give you less stuff. That's the idea. And I guess so far, it's it's doing well because there are drivers
who get like 60 to 80 stops, but they're all apartments
and they finish about the same time. A driver with 150 stops with this is walking up and down stairs
and so it gets you tired. Now, why do we stop at the like if I go to ask for money. Don't, don't make eye contact there. Sorry, man. I don't got anything Yep. That's the ghetto. You can see he's
asking people for a spare change, but I don't have any change on me. All I have is my key right here. And I also have my scanner. I think I'm just not bringing change. Like putting it right here
just to give some out. Well, this guy, I did this area yesterday. I got 125 stops,
but today they gave me 150 was this nonsense. All right, we'll follow the delivery notes
here. Usually I don't follow the delivery notes, but since we're in the ghetto,
you actually have to follow them. So this one's for your door. Over here. And then you can stay back here. See, when you close to it, it lights up OK. We saw this wrapping thing on it
to see left some skid marks We need more windshield wiper fluid. Has anyone here
been following the Amazon subreddit? Because there's this user has
his username is like unknown dispatch. And lately he's been posting his on what he eats on the road and like,
he smokes like every day. And then what he eats is. You guys thought I ate bad. This guy eats, like, the worse. Yeah, I'll post some pictures, but basically
he eats, like, four bags of chips. He brings a pint of lemonade or sweet tea. He has, like, four bags of gummy bears. I'm like, what? What? I don't know how he does it. And the whole subreddit is roasting him. He's like, Oh,
this guy is killing himself. Half his paycheck
goes to all the snacks and food. The only thing that does look good is his sandwiches,
because he puts the chips on them, and he probably has,
like, a ham sandwich or something. A sandwich with chips on top. You can't beat it. I've been seeing his posts, and now people
are posting what they eat on the road. And, yeah, it's pretty much trucker
gas station food. And he recently made a post
saying he got fired, which is unfortunate because we won't be seeing
any more of those posts anymore. And apparently he got fired
for other reasons besides his pictures. So, yeah, that was fun while it lasted. Let me show you
a glimpse of the lights at night. Do they go all around? So someone rear ends me. Can't say that they didn't see me. Our next stop is like, right here. Off the quiet triangle Yeah. I mean, like, how couch Oh, all right. Two more packages and two more stops. Then we got real temp stuff sucks. It is a little spooky delivering to people's backyards at night. It's hard see a house number, so that's what sucks for driving at night. All right.
Thanks for the All right, guys, we are done. And we're headed back to station. This is the best part of the job. Just driving back. Go, guys. Stop for no reason. Just enjoy the vibe, you know? Good day. A little late. What time is it? 9:00. A little later than what I usually finish on this route. I usually get, like, one 2125. I spend a lot of time in people's
backyards and living in the back. But today, for some reason,
they gave me 150, 160, and I don't know why. Now we're just following the G.P.S. to head that station. Oh, OK. Let's take a listen. You know, I like the blind spot indicator saw. There's, like, a little triangle of red. Always nice. And you guys have enjoyed the video. Make sure you guys
leave a like and subscribe. Tell me what you think about
delivering at night, because it does suck. And with that,
I'll see you guys the next one. Peace out later.
