it's time to wipe the dust off those guitar Theory notebooks and grab your mom's credit card to buy some tabs that you're not going to be able to play for the next five years because we have new polyphia featuring the legend himself Steve Vai now that is a guitar Flex if I've ever seen one why waste time go oh we unplugged that room is Extreme White oh nice motifs [Music] oh [Music] the sun in the dark yep that was a quick reason for me to never pick up your target okay [Music] this is six minutes too oh my God okay we're doing a whole virtuoso piece [Music] oh we up there seductive something [Music] oh my God he's using the V2 [Music] when you metal AF but still got to go to Grandma's for dinner later tonight okay ah [Music] Flash damn this is a journey so far a lot more Progressive than the other tracks [Music] there's just a lot there's a lot of notes like happening foreign [Music] [Music] oh now we on a rooftop these boys really can't pick this spot for band practice okay oh oh that's something right there oh Steve coming to show the boys how it's done what I feel like I'm in a clock it's just winding foreign [Music] best whammy abuse [Music] okay [Music] that's noises damn man I can go for it [Music] oh he's just getting warmed up Steve [Music] so much wary [Music] that was sick [Music] the drums too man thick accents oh all right the Dew wedding the three oh yeah dude this is just three dudes playing the guitar let's go man [Music] that's the promo shot right there that's hot dude foreign no you are it just they just summoned okay [Music] yes this always happens at Guitar uh Jam sessions just random dude with the trumpet shows up okay wow okay whoa that was yeah damn that that was wild because like it it's very still polyphia and like Steve Steve came in he he did he did some King right there which was which which was expected but also like just the way he came in visually was so cool and how he just he you know he was just like yeah you know don't don't forget hey like the the polyphia these These are the these are the new kids doing crazy fun guitar stuff you know but don't forget the OG's here you know and and um he he killed the two man I I loved his approach too because you expect someone Steve I like and of course he's such a unique player right he's not just like shreddy shreddy for the point of it like he's he's incredible shredding and Melody and noises and everything he's just an incredible guitarist but to see him come in here on a track and and live with that whammy bar again like not that the whammy bar is like a new thing but it definitely gets abused much more in modern Guitar World stuff and uh it was cool to see him just make an entire literally like kind of solo appearance creating Melodies and motifs just with that whammy bar basically and um and then trailing off of it here and there and having just really cool lines that were just so different and again unique but it's I mean that's what Steve does he just makes you go what just happened so that that was a dope feature I love how they implemented it him in there and then yeah like polyphia in general like this track six myths did not feel like a six minute song felt much shorter um it it was it was interesting because it definitely had some motifs here and there but it was a lot less like um I'm not gonna say formulaic because now their songs are really like formulaic but a lot less like burst cores versus chorus you know Bridge chorus uh it was structured in just a much funner different way it was much more Progressive it's it's cool to see them in this light which I I also love like the little metal aspects uh even even with with Scott bringing like his like his V guitar and stuff and and just shredding like it really reminded me a little bit of their like um that classical thing they did uh that cover they did like when they started polyphia um just just a taste of it and it really felt like yeah this is like the the story of polyphia in one song and then having Steve Vai I mean that's that's a good Flex dude that's a good Flex I've talked long enough if you guys like the song be sure to go show them the love this is this is a must if you are uh if you look at a guitar in your life at least once you need to watch this this is it's it's guitar virtuoso just ritual virtuosity Virtua virtue it's guitars having a good time all right and uh making good music with Legends so if you guys like this show the lovely future videos down the description if you like this video hit the Subscribe button down below comment your thoughts with deer crocodiles will be stream today on Twitter on the description well come hang out uh patreon if you don't support yeah I appreciate it and uh more videos over here yeah bye hey uh patreon if you want support yeah I appreciate it and uh more videos over here yeah bye
