so it's an update on my steel ceiling liner panels and insulation as you can see putting it up here's a dry hole hoist I'm doing it by myself so I made this trial hoist is only like 150 bucks on eBay these are 18 foot 3 inches sheets I didn't know how big of sheets to go with because I didn't know what the heck what that lift can handle but it's doing ok but um you can see it's turn out pretty good maybe my seams go face this way if you can see that but you should be able to see it so that if you're coming in and looking this way down it's all flush you can't really see it and also and say using the pole barn screws what I did was I used I think we can zoom in I'm using the panhead sheet metal screws and I just painted them white so uh yeah it's looking pretty good : nice and straight the insulation I'm using this r49 batts what I'm doing is just off putting the sheets up and then putting the insulation up as you can see I didn't use a vapor barrier because I want the moisture to get out you know it's kind of like there's so much debate on it but it's like you do a vapor barrier and it's like a plastic bag you put some water in there put it outside in the Sun that wire just condenses and sticks all over the plastic and then you have to drain out well with this hopefully the ill might great up and out so then once it gets in the summer to the attic space where it's a lot hotter it should just go right through my ridge vent because it's a long ridge vent and then then I have enough airflow over here so that you know it's an adequate airflow with my four foot or hanging by eaves so it should be that's that's my way of thinking I don't want a plastic bag encapsulated then you're gonna have to AC and heat this is going to have a see this as in-floor heat but I want that moisture to get out of the place there's too many new homes that are sealed up so tight that you need area exchangers and there's still mold problems so this has been going on for 50 60 years without using a vapour barrier around the ceiling so I thought well hey it works for most home so why not this so but as you can see the 2x4 stringers that they hung earlier if you hold the trusses I put the insulation around that that's a proper way to do it you just split the insulation pretty easy but yeah you put the insulation around are 149 I may in the summer go and do some solid it'll fill blow some fill in there just to fill the seams but that'll depend on how warm it is but I went eighteen point five and then or 18 foot three and three inch sheets and then I did a seven-foot sheet on this because I just didn't know how easy it was gonna be but yeah it turned out pretty good it's nice and smooth this is you ain't see all the gaps but the other way you can't see the gaps and also these are going to have lights on them right there so the lights can be covering up this gap so I should be looking pretty good but yes I just wanna give you update on it this is my in-floor radiant heat I got a pipe that but this is how I did mine but I'll do a video on that so okay well hopefully this helps you guys out just to see how I did it and my thinking of the vapor barrier out in the ceiling on the walls I'm gay use a vapor barrier because vapor air barrier six mil clear poly just to do the walls but any moisture I wanted up and out of here so it's not in this area so okay guys well hopefully that gives you quick idea and oh yeah I was getting mount my air hose reels up here on the ceiling these are tractable air hose reels but then I think I'm just gonna do them in a cabinet style because I don't I was thinking that vibration and stuff might make some noise to the ceiling I don't know for sure but or else you know retract it it lets loose will it swing and get my ceiling so I'm gonna make it flush in a cabinet in my works works facing with diamond plate so keep a look out for that one but yeah doing this by myself it's going decent once you figure out but I'm saving a lot of time and the money wise for them to do the steel and afforded by ATC land they wanted 7600 just to seal no inflation so these panels cost me three thousand for everything inflation was like for the walls and everything like 3,600 but then I got rebates so my installation for the walls for this whole buildings gonna only be three hundred fifty four bucks and the ceilings game be about twenty two hundred so it's pretty good and then the ceiling panels I got eleven percent off of that so at fried Dobbs twenty seven hundred so shave him bald uh easily four thousand easily four thousand for the ceiling panel alone and then with the insulation do it myself for our forty nine I'm probably Savin at least a couple grand so if it takes me a month to do it that's fine with me but um yeah so okay sheetrock walls so keep uh subscribe and look keep a watch out because the finished building will be pretty pretty good workshop so uh thanks for watching
