it was the 19th of december and all through pat's house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse pad woke feeling chilly and he said with a yawn today feels like a day great content was born to turn on his pc and camera he went next was to open up the most recent comments the sheer quantity of questions left him in shock can you react to jaiden animations nuzlocke it's react time baby all right predictions first stop for watching jaden animations i attempted a two-player nuzlocke video which is a soul link i already know a little bit about this video it's done with alpha rad so predictions at least four crit deaths and alpharade will probably somehow lose a legendary let's find out you're gonna drill at this point pokemon faints it dies catch one pokemon per out and nickname it to set up for emotional trauma but this time we're doing something a bit different a two-person nuzlocke it's technically called a soul link but no one knows what i mean so basically you and person two play the same that is true that is bad for the algorithm that's why you put the nose lock in the title instead of so link of the title i see that big algorithm plays game at the same time following the same nuzlocke roles however your pokemon are linked which means if my starter dies totally starter also dies and they can't do anything about it see this is why chica is back just doesn't die can only have one primary typing for both of our teams combined so if i catch a water type and add it to my team person two can't have a water type at all on theirs and cherry on top all pokemon are randomized i can walk into the grass at any point and accidentally find god nice done that fair few times myself i never liked the primary typing rule for soul links that kind of drove me away from doing them a lot of times just seems a little convoluted and maybe he'll just kill all my animals right then and there so with all these new rules in place i needed to find a player too one who's a real pokemon master able to adapt improvise and strategize all at the drop of a hat and who else other than pokemon master himself jacob alpharad who at this point in time has a 50 50 nun's log win ratio here i'm just like having flashbacks to the randomizer he did like yup no problems there's our pokemon heart gold soul silver so link nuzlocke we both go downstairs barely greet our mom and immediately beeline it to professor album's lab to see what pokemon he's got for us because we don't know oh randomized yeah in case you forgot what i just said we stroll up to him and he pats jacob on the head and goes here choose from these three i picked them specially for you wait wait wait before it opens up okay prediction again another prediction there's gonna be a trade evolution a legendary and a pokemon doesn't evolve among these stars tentacruel or luda colo okay i was completely wrong i'm out for jaden stars awesome jacob takes torterra and i'm completely wrong again then franklin that's that's why i talked about pokemon jacob runs into a reggie rock and be very careful they are known to blow some patch of grass which just flat out explodes on them no one died luckily but also oh my god we get an egg and immediately professor elm calls and tells us he's been robbed and bullied you really couldn't handle being alone for 10 minutes could you on our way back stop getting robbed idiot help a grown adult we stumble onto a shady figure who scuffs challenges us to a battle with pokemon he stole from elm which we immediately win scoffs again then drops his wallet passport credit card driver's license social security target gift card on the ground in front of us for the world to see dude get your crap together you can't be doing that when you're a wanted fugitive back in the lab sorry the illusion he really is the worst criminal in the world yoinks and skappers and no police and the entire game seemed to find him this is like ah oh sorry nothing we can do about it we saw his info now here we get to name our rival jacob and i try to think of someone that we both shared some sort of rivalry with when we remembered a certain professional pokemon nuzlocker has been consistently reacting and critiquing our nuzlocke so far some of his comments were more critical than others it's pokemon challenges isn't it and directed at one of us more than the other mr police oh my god his name is jan that's great let's see if you can destroy us from the inside out anyway that's why i love that ever takes us out to some grass to show us how to catch a pokemon runs into articuno it in a pokeball in the green and turns to us and goes see just like that it's easy they give us some pokeballs and we can finally start our journey first encounter predictions boom it's going to be a lombre and we're going to find uh a miltank mel tank's gonna be in here somewhere in the grass and our first encounters are barboach and houndoom this could have been awesome for jacob if he could catch the dang thing since we only had pokeballs hounded was not getting in the ball no matter what and we ended up not getting that pair but you know it's all right there's plenty more it would've been good though like unironically amazing only weakness is grass water ground type super good hound doom very good boy the best boy apart from arcanine don't worry buddy no one is a better boy than you oh uh leo uh sorry what are you doing here i'm i'm sorry pop it farfetch that jacob accidentally kills or geodude gyarados that jacob accidentally kills or tyro name which is also pretty good mainly for just me we started combining the two pokemon to create their names so we ended up somehow with pedroto we ran into a trainer who had a freaking polkey on his team fun fact did you know if you googled palkia type weakness google will tell you that he's weak to fairy and salamance no other dragons just is that still true oh it doesn't say it anymore i'm sad so jacob and i started joking around every time we saw palkia oh no if only i had a salamance uh oh don't have a salomon so just get one it's a randomizer easy many polkas we ran into but that didn't stop us from bullying every single one so we take on faulkner the first gym leader who has kyogre bronzer and metagross dragonair oh my god after a lot of difficulty we both managed to meet randomized specialties i don't know how that happened but hey everyone's all right oh he's gonna take himself out oh they did film it oh i wonder if they'll release like the full series probably not but like it would be cool to see like all the reactions to the different parts of the game oh my god it killed itself counters to lighten the mood oh hello shuckle suicune that jacob accidentally kills no come on who luckily wasn't as stacked as faulkner and as we step outside jan who is surprised we haven't been demolished yet yeah i'm surprised too challenges us to a battle which we also win we run into mob should've should have played around the crit [Music] a while diox is in the forest to someone accidentally kills and make our way to goldenrod where there's a security guard that'll give us both a pokemon he hands me a poor gun too which i'm ecstatic about turns to jacob and gives him reggie gigas randomized abilities please let me have randomized abilities because if you don't then this is absolutely useless which we can't use because they're both normal types of all the legends you had to get of course you get the only normal type besides actual god we beat whitney and in the national park find piplup flaffy which we named plap i pitched to jacob that i'm willing to trade the badrotas to make room for this new pair so he essentially switches beetrool with flaffy which we shake on welcome to the team plaps and then my project immediately almost gets killed why is it fighting at jirachi you'll be fair jaden's team is a little lackluster to say the least sorry my bad yeah i ended up killing that one how many encounters have they actually gone so far like three i'm sorry jacob it is harder than it looks to catch these things we pour water on the strange trees on route 36 that actually turn out to be cradley silkoon we kind of named them dilly-doo and could have added them to the team as dead but we ended up forgetting to which is yeah a pretty silly mistake but what's the worst that could happen incredibly really good nuzlocke jacob and i make it to equitique and walk into the burn tower as we are about to go down there jan runs up and is like you're only trying to catch suicune to make yourselves look stronger than you actually are and we're like no we killed him a while ago but he still wanted to battle probably yeah see he was a bit late to the party you know coming after suicune because he's busy doing damage calcs it takes a while to prep for this do some theory crafting you know off the mew he somehow found we beat him yet again go downstairs scare off the dogs and go challenge morty jacob didn't have any trouble for the team morty had for him but for me i was having a bit of a harder time he had a lugia which neither me nor my team could even handle all i could do was bubble beam it with plap and pray i don't get crit one shot as jacob just sits there watching but it luke only has like what whirlwinds doesn't have aeroblast yeah not working out we arrived at olivine and climbed the giant lighthouse almost falling to our literal death along the way reach jasmine at the top who's like climb back down and go get medicine for amphi and sea and water and we were like we almost died getting here surfing to see him and i know what you're thinking yeah we did catch them obamatar joined the team immediately and suddenly we've got a pretty powerful lineup going on also a random guy in town gifted us a mewtwo and weeping bell finally i'm the one the legend now but we had to box him because we couldn't have two grass types what no just change the team just take take them you two why would you not take the mewtwo this sudden shared life crazy combined with our zero death win streak got us feeling pretty confident oh it truly means it's time to get kicked in the throat by a black belt martial artist gym leader fingers was indescribably tough in the most bullcrap way possible he only has two months it should be okay he's what like little 30 right now you'll be all right for me jacob had no trouble at all because he's jacob that's how soul links go i brought obamitar out for it nothing else on my team could really do anything against it the main drawback of this is abomitar's snow warning ability which creates hail damaging every pokemon including my own that's not an ice type which is pretty inconvenient in a nuzlocke i even made a a teeny tiny comment about it when i first got him i can i ca i'm gonna call it snow's gonna kill one of my pokemon had that happen a few times you gotta pay attention to that weather damage you survive on one because of crits you just killed yourself sorry it goes down and chuck's only other pokemon he's only got two is frost lass who if you don't know oh he has like snow cloak snow of asian some kind of snow ability it has snow cloak that yup there it is no cloak makes the pokemon 20 percent harder to hit if there's hail you want to know how many pokemon have this ability five three of which being mammo swine you want to know how many pokemon there are in heart gold soul silver 493 now i know these odds sound pretty awful already but you know what this process does she uses ominous wind almond boosts you going to get the boost wind has a 10 chance to boost every single stat of the user i didn't get a boost she gets the stat boost twice in a row she got the stabbies twice in a row after a lot of strategizing we both decided the best option for us would be to send in my chill as death fodder to heal up because he is the only one that can really do anything at this point and what happens he lives please don't get another stat boost oh no not another one not a third one surely no no oh my god oh there it is first quit death all right one of full crit one shots mitchell as soon as he comes out poor camera he was so proud for making it out of jack's gym and then just falls over dead for no reason basically started heel stalling which sure isn't a noble strategy but come on after literally there's nothing wrong with healer stolen as long as that's the kind of rules that you want to play by like some people do hardcore nose locks there's like no potions but if you want to use potions that's completely okay anyone that's out there is like oh healing in battle is wrong you're doing it wrong can just shut up they're sweaty little nerds and who cares about their opinion oh come on i only have two potions left you know it's not a real nuzlocke if you use potions right what are you doing i'm just trying to find who asked my own bad luck for what felt like hours finally for us sauce goes down oh confusion finally no hit yourself holy nice jacob practically drags me out of the gym and we head to the bc we decided to add a pair we caught back on route 35 which was charmeleon dawn fan named darfell a fantastic duo i was admittedly and i think justifiably still really salty about what we just went through but jacob convinced me that we should just move on we got our darfels leveled up and returned to olivine to feed amphi the medicine that we picked up so jasmine would finally do her idiot and check this out already another lugia the second gym as a lugia a lugia and an what a combo oh my god look at our two screens real quick level 40. my goodness goodness gracious me she also had a g-axis it's okay it's a glass cannon as long as you don't get like psycho boosted and one shot i mean you'll be alright we headed to mahogany town catching and adding nidoran and barrel named barrel to the team and in the lake of rage jacob cut a kyogre paired with my swallot we never use this pair but i just wanted to mention it for reasons what's that the red gyarados is sitting there chilling and kyogre is like yo what's up what's going on bro you okay we approach the glistening shadow of the lake beast activate the encounter and find a shiny banarian dawn nice you know the best but hey free shiny people get another donut it doesn't hurt to cat oop i killed it that's again my bad sorry you killed your first encounter shawnee come on what's going on why would you do that it's a shiny lance walks up to us and goes hi i'm lance grabs us by the wrist kicks down the door to the mahogany town 7-eleven kills one of the guys in there and runs into the rocket hideout where he continues to wipe out any living organism he finds down there are we the baddies plastic lance we decided to copy them and beat up all the executives and their power generator right before we fly to golden rod we pick up the seventh badge and then continue curb stomping team rocket we were getting a bit too comfy though and as jacob wasn't paying attention mainly because he just got a chicken sandwich obama tar was killed by a golem's earthquake yup no really bad blow and stung much more because we weren't paying attention oh but we did have to move on especially since we were literally in the middle of a gang fight we shoved our way to rocket executive and big boss archer and give him a bit of a throat chop so he would calm down and stop doing whatever it is he was doing i hope this primate never dies seriously i i've grown to love this prime map even though it's been showed very briefly i just love the fact that they chose a monkey as a starter i think it's great on our way to blackthorne we catch frost last corfish which put me into a vengeful trauma spiral you you demon and then jacob caught himself both a sweet and an ass elf what bro alpha's cheating he's trying to make up for the fact that he lost his groudon in the randomizer so he turned on an easy catch code he's just scooping up all the legendaries now claire give him the stupid badge what so now he can there is a demon why is that two gym leaders in johto that cry when you beat them they did it once and they were like you know what we need another crying gym leader hi i'm going to be auditioning for the role of whitney okay great go ahead you're hired i think you should go fight a horde of asian women in ecrutique ah so we enter the egg critique theater and start fighting the women and the second girl for me sends out ambipom as i switched to franklin it screeched which i didn't pay attention to oh no ambi pum double hit killed franklin three minutes after i said i i've grown to love this primate even though it's been showed very briefly why does this always happen i need to stop liking things our starters died dude that was really sad we were about to make it to the elite four with them and bam not alive anymore i'm sorry that was my fault if i just didn't say i liked them then they would have been fine everything pretty much the backbone to our teams man jan's gonna make so much fun of us when he finds out as we're still mourning the last kimono girl rest spams with wailord do you have any dignity woman we're lamenting over here we try to leave and the girls are all no no go catch the legendary pokemon no no i know that your like best friend just like died and we killed them but like come on this is legendary right you want that all right legendary prediction dialga mesprit he's already got three so i head to whirl islands and jacob scales the bell tower and what legends do we find the legendary xangoose and loudred oh so aka and randomize says there's usually an option that allows you to replace legendaries with legendaries i guess they didn't select that option or maybe they use a different one finally we have some freedom again and as soon as we touch the water in new bark to head to victory road what pops up from the bottom of the lake but entei himself nice and doduo oh my god yeah you can't catch that oh it's master ball of course that's going in the box because fire types we catch cascoon reggie rock in victory road and heading towards the exit jen sprints up from behind us and i iconically say this is your last chance to kill one of our pokemon jan and what happens wait which one which one oh my god which one's gonna be okay we got a new king a hip on top uh charizard and chucky up front no shot absolutely no way chucky dies to a neato king no way that's happening it's gotta be with him on top right you know what it is i'm predicting this it's counter it is yes oh my god oh my god big prediction no what happened that's still sad though that's not great i'm so good at people are gonna think that i pre-watched this video i swear i didn't i'm just very good at predicting he's killed one of our pokemon yeah that sucks that really sucks darfur was an incredible pair we've had since the fifth gym and we really grew to lean on we lost quite literally half our team right before the elite four pushing some glasses that's why you have to check the move sets always make sure that you know the move sets are we beat jan for the last time enter the indigo plateau and immediately bolt to the pc to see what kind of damage control we can do after a very long time of trying to stitch together the best teams possible that's the thing about soul links and the typing mechanic is that you have to have like a quantum degree in pokemon typings to be able to figure out what you can use and what you can't use when it comes to putting the best mods in your team infraros and polion but barrel nitto queen beautify cradley dodrio entei and victory bell mewtwo wait that's it what i know i know wow jaden super balanced you've got mewtwo and entei and jacob has a beautiful eye look i this is the best we could do i promise tell him jacob tell him anyway big deep breath does alpha not have an acting role in this video here we go into the unknown depths of the elite four will coda and bruno were all no problem at all we breezed right past them everything was going great this is fine yeah he's oh oh that's a big crate it's not gonna get two crits in a row though so you're all right it's fine on the other hand karen was not as nice no i just karen not being nice it's uh it's a shocker they're usually so happy and fun and cool to hang out with i mean what if he does any charge move oh that's it he's just a crosstalk he's dead it's fine that's high battle with no more casualties but facing lance with a team of four each is really not ideal to say the least but we walked up to him nonetheless whether we win or lose here this is our last battle i think they're gonna win they got this easy dub i don't think it's gonna be hot at all i think they're randomized lance has nothing good he leads with fiona and lydian with seed like fiona lettian the b-tech legendary and the worst pokemon in the world we were both like hahaha lance is this all you've got and then he hits us with the no jacob was up against his porygon z rampardos licky licky zapdos and plussel it's a pretty stacked team he was holding his own and getting through them really well on my end i was dealing with a giga impacting snorlax which i really had nothing for i just had to pray for no crits and as many misses as possible it goes down eventually and what does he send out next i was gonna say it no i was gonna pause and say it's not pulkier is it i let no i wanted to make the prediction but this dumb massive feat got in before i can say it polka you also have to believe me that that's what i was gonna say i could really use the settlements right about now this is what we get we believe pocky has so much during our journey here looking at my team i don't have anything that can handle polka either except for you two and what happens he gets spatial around critical one shot turn one i am in tournament a lot of trouble i took so much greatly can do it greatly with leap seed high special defense craig lee's got this he's crazy snorlax that jacob was already done with his battle so all he could do was watch this massacre from the sidelines i sent out dilly-doo to confuse stalum and just try to chip away at him with basically nothing and my god was i lucky because if pokey hit one more crit at any point dilly doo and the run was over and i was forced to dance on that line for a long time but eventually dilly dallyn's the finishing blow i was so proud that i love cricket so early on good morning his death fodder was the one saving us we're so sorry for doubting you dilly doo thank you i always try to tell people the cradle is probably the best grass type i love it so much king bias and not dying but that was only half of lance's team might i oh oh lap took out his sand slash which stung but bastion came out tanks platforms sucks no it's not going to use it's not going to use metal bursts and kill them with metal burst that's rough buddy i was in shock with that one that was our second oldest pair ever since our franklins died jacob and i both started seeing the plaps as our star members beryl came out and revenge finished the bastyrdon and lance's last pokemon was a big ol hard hitting tanky freaking a zoomer oh no very tight but i think it has huge power in this game so that's kind of scary has huge power or sap zipper i think i sent dilly doo back out because barrel would die immediately and started the chipping game again don't tell me this isn't bad enough a zoomer will set up the rain and an aqua ring for itself which turned this fight from uh to ah this awful one-on-one lasted ten whole minutes i slap him he slaps back much harder and then heals and then i heal but eventually dilly do wins the stalling battle i hate the fact that it's whipping around it's many head penises and using them as weapons and goes down in an unpredictable turn of events dilly-doo saved us from utter defeat what an adventure we just went on insane encounters insane bull crap friends death bullying and the dilly dudes thanks for going on this journey with me jacob i quite literally couldn't have done it without you and a salute to the buddies we made along the way that's cute yeah i got here frost loss they did it i'm proud of them they actually managed to do it well le that was absolutely again fantastic i love the animation on it oh look oh they made the credits like the hot gold soul civil credits which i've always loved the hot gold souls of a credits i think they're fantastic but yeah they finally did it soul link is beaten the triforce has been completed is it is it three i think it's three right but the triforce has been completed again another fantastic video really really really cool story about it one challenges for being a good sport this is like look at let's cut it these credits are so nice
