♪♪ Hey everybody! It's Rob and Andrew, and today we're looking at a bunch of pedals from Gamechanger Audio. I've used a bunch of these before, Rob's never seen... Any of them? Some of them? I actually have seen this one. That's a wild one. Well they're all wild, like all of them do something that I've never seen before. Okay, when it says it has plasma... Oh, it has plasma! What exactly is plasma? Plasma is like the state beyond gas, electrical... - The state beyond gas? - Like electrical... Um, yeah. So if you stake it so bad, you get here? ♪♪ Are we both...? Yeah, this is so fun. Both going through the same pedals. I've never gone through the same pedals with someone. Are you seeing this light up as we play? Yeah. ♪♪ The Light. The Light pedal is a reverb pedal and it's got the spring tank in here. The spring vibrates... Yeah. And then you turn it back into audio. But this has an extra layer where there's also these lights... And they're using infrared sensors to see how the spring is moving and taking that as a reverb signal. So actually play something like somewhat steady. ♪♪ Ooh... ♪♪ Oh, that's nice! ♪♪ Do you feel a song coming on already? ♪♪ Actually another fun thing that I'm thinking of right now is this gate knob. So you can have it where there's more reverb the louder you play, or the louder you play, the more it ducks the reverb. Yeah, and for people, like... Gate, it's kind of like.. Imagine a gate that stops something... And you're controlling a gate. It's kind of-- Closing the door on the sound. Yeah, and I'm sure there's a better way that I could describe it but that's essentially-- ♪♪ - Wooow! - You can dial in how much you want to gate it. Whoa, bring the gate all the way up. K, one, two, three, four: ♪♪ Do you want to keep jamming on this or should we try the other gate or-- Yeah, I think we should move on. I don't like with a band did. So flipping the gate the other way means there's no reverb while you're playing. ♪♪ And then when you let go... It swells in. Let's do the same song with the band but now the other way. Yeah, yeah, it's dry and then we fill the space with reverb, sick. Alright. One, two, three, same song: ♪♪ Dang that is cool! Beautiful. Okay, that was great. You guys are doing better. Thank you, mm. Okay, so the next mode is sweep, where the lights automatically change and you can control the rate of them. So this will just I guess affect the tone of the reverb? Oh yep, uh huh. ♪♪ E major, and then to this one. ♪♪ Oh yeah. ♪♪ ♪ [wrong notes] ♪ No. So here's a feedback mode. ♪♪ So now, the signal is going into the spring, being read by the lights, and then that signal is going back into the spring, and being read by the lights, and that's how you're gonna feed. Yeah, both the spring and the lights are what we're hearing right now. Alright, there's one more mode it's called harmonic ♪♪ and this one adds like a shimmer sort of thing? So now, the whole thing we just described but then adding... accentuating certain harmonics of the spring. Yeah. ♪♪ I'll just I'll be the pedal guy.
