[Music] hello and which come to you and this tutorial in this video I will explain how we can create a diffuse map normal map and bump map first we will explain a diffuse map diffuse map is simply what most people would call a texture it is basically in other words an image that contains color information and a good diffuse map it should be first high-resolution and I prefer okay or more second thing seamless if you have applying to T texture in any 3d software you probably ran into an issue that when you repeat texture like leather stone or any texture you see seams coming up so for that make sure you use seamless image and if you don't have one I will show you how you can create it to create seamless image we will use photoshop I use Photoshop CC 2008 20 as you see this image it's 4k resolution now use the crop tool to increase workspace area then copy this image by alt and drag now when we repeat this image we see seams coming up so the fixes that in the first we will line up middle these images like this okay now we have this middle area and we were working on it after that merged these images together to make it one layer then we will go to the Healing Brush tool okay now we will going to hold down the Alt key and we going to left-click and what we are going to do is we are kind of loading up our brush once you have done that you can start to kind of drawing these edges like that and then you are going to hold down the Alt key again and reload because you don't want to do everything with the same color so I'm going to take this here and kind of try mix that up too little and we will hit Alt key again and again after we finish going to select tool and select the middle area and take a copy from it by ctrl J then delete the old one also we don't need these lines again and to see the result we will repeat this image again okay now as you see we have a nice result okay now let's talk about normal map and pump map normal maps are similar to pumps Maps they both affected the normals of our geometry and to create the illusion of details without having to relay on a high poly count the major difference is that bump map simply encode high information use a black and white value but normal map actually use RGB value to signify the orientation of the surface normal the information written into red green and blue channels the normal map corresponds to the XY and Z orientation of the surface normal at any given pixel okay now to create a normal map first make a copy from the diffuse we created the from a while if we go to filter 3d you will figure out we have two options first one generate bump map and the second one generate normal map if these options were off for any reason this website generate a normal map for free and you can found it from the link in the description of this video okay now press generate normal map once you have this window make sure the contrast details 100 and the details is here 100 also the player 0 to have the good result and that's it ok you can create bump map from filter 3d but I will create it in a way everyone can't do it now make a copy from the diffuse map and we will go up to image adjustment hue/saturation once you have this window make the saturation - 100 and if we zoom into the image we will see all these wrinkles have white color and according to what we know the bump map in coid hide information to use a black and white value white it will be a push - up and blur it will be pushed to down the fix set a press control I and it will invert the colors the black it's gonna be Y and the white it's gonna be black okay now if you see in this example the difference between bump map and normal map the bump map have more details from the normal map and if you want you can use another map as I did in the last video it's depending on you and what you want to create thanks for watching and have this video useful for you if you liked this video please hit the like button and share this video and don't forget subscribe to my channel if you are not see you soon [Music]
