John ward goat
I came to TN in 1994 as a Wolverines fan and I had no interest in UT's football program. But Peyton certainly made it hard to root against them. He helped make me a Vol's fan, second only to my beloved Wolverines.
0-3 vs FL
But thatβs okay
I can't help but wonder what Fulmer's legacy would look like if Manning never came to UT.
His very presence on a team elevated the performance of the entire team throughout his career. Brandon Stewart was an incredibly gifted athlete but I don't think he would have posted a 39-6 record.
Manning's 4 years at UT was truly a special era and I feel like he personally advanced the UT brand. I only wish he could have whooped Florida's ass a couple times.
If manning had the physical build of Brady, or literally any normally proportioned athlete, nobody would even be asking who the GOAT is.
Peyton Manning is the greatest living organism in the universe.
Also, never ever forget the naked bootleg and how he executed it to perfection.
Manningβs years at TN were when I was in high school. Itβs so surreal thinking about how I lived through those years watching that team every Saturday.
His overall career is basically the evolution of football in real time. He comes in watching tape, literal tape that they rewind, so much the staff is like "that's enough nerd."
Made me miss John Ward more than anything. π’
