on today's episode I'm gonna show you some pedals I don't think you know about it's not really your fault maybe it is your fault only you know that and you're living with the guilt of it right now but I want to show them to you here we go [Music] alright let's get started here's how I'm gonna do this I'm gonna play two pedals at a time and these are all pedals that I think you need to know about the things that I don't see on the left boards and I definitely don't see enough people talking about them here goes first up is the fried gold by yellowcake I love this brand he's a fantastic guy this is a great overdrive distortion and then I have the Mojo hand park theater reverb echo mojo Han was bought by John Cusack of Cusack effects and the Park Theatre is a theatre in Holland Michigan it's like a local landmark and they had some damage to the structure so John goes in and creates a reverb around the actual sound of the theater puts into the pedal and this raises money to do those repairs so if no other reason just go buy it for that you're helping restore and fix up a really important part of local history there in Michigan here these are [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] King decomposer it decomposes your guitar signal in so many ways that I couldn't even show you an entire video I'm just gonna put it on a setting play with the input control try to clean it up but it's not made to be clean so don't expect much it's amazing though fantastic pedal and then the Alexander marshmallow just look at the graphics it has a marshmallow man on it and it sounds like marshmallows it sounds like amazing fluffy campfire marshmallows combined with this it's pure utter chaotic stuff just I'd yeah listen listen to it [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] the deadbeat visible overdrive listen to me this is a tube screamer that has a transparent top and it lights up blue if for no other reason you need to buy it for that get it transparent visible overdrive it has a clear top it's a tube screamer it's amazing super cheap and then you have the seymour duncan shape shifter there's been different forms of this over the years it has stereo outputs waveforms tap tempo all the bells and whistles really really great pedal both of these together more great more greater two pedals is more greater than [Music] this is gonna be a little bit chaotic but you're in for the ride I can tell you're into the episode you're eating some chips you're snacking I don't know what you're doing actually but I know you're here and because you here that means you trust me this is gonna test that trust it is the time reflector unit kaleidoscope by Jupiter effects if you look that up it's Jay PTR effects Jupiter and then I have the B tronics warm this is a reverb with some amazing ambient crazy features I can't really get into them just go watch the other videos and then this pedal is like a fuzz droning circuit bent monster together they're just they're just different they're different [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music] I never see this brand enough and you need to go there website it is Amla petals this is the yarra - compressor this thing compresses as much as you would ever need times a hundred it'll do some crazy stuff really cool but it does have a blend control and I really like it in front of an overdrive and for that I'm gonna choose the Peacekeeper by thorpey really really great low gain medium gain has a real natural crunch to it look at that enclosure these are out of England great great company check them out I will turn this on with this and then I'll let you just hear this by itself [Music] you [Music] [Music] around the amplification protein I've showed this Dave Brown is a great friend of mine this pedals done really well it's a two and one one side is a blues breaker type circuit kind of like My Morning Glory but it's different has a little bit different feel to it and on the other side is this nice thick overdrive and then we have the GFI specular reverb really great combo yeah you're gonna like these [Music] the echo man by x5 this is a miniature memory man style pedal with a true bucket brigade chipset in at the emaan 300 v reproduction it's wildly good it's not that expensive and Howard Davis one of the original designers involved in the memory man designed this pedal so it's awesome you can do some crazy stuff if you crank the modulation you can choose between chorus and vibrato I love the vibrato setting I'm gonna try to put it in a subtle quarter note thing for some lead work and the distortion will be the big orange bike a line effects this is super affordable so affordable you probably already bought it that's probably what just happened and I'm gonna play them together you're gonna you're gonna do something when I [Music] [Applause] [Music] the power pedals on air fuss he sent this into me it's pretty wild it does overdrive and fuzz that's what the two foot switches are and then it has an am/fm toggle it does really gnarly stuff like fuzz that almost hurts your ears but while it's hurting your ears you're thinking this is really fun you know what I'm talking about there's so many people out there that like that stuff so you're gonna like this and then the Maris mercury seven Maris is doing some of the coolest DSP stuff out there they're one of the companies one of the very few companies that when I play one of their pedals I say to myself I've never heard anything like that I can't do this pedal justice in a short bit but I want you to see it I want you to go watch all the demos out there I'm gonna do this swelling in reverb then we're gonna change it off with some of a high octave shimmer effect combine these it's just gonna be good it's gonna be so good I'm so excited can you tell I'm excited [Music] [Applause] [Music] that was a lot of petals I think we need a record time today's record time is brought to you by Tama and Paula's currents this records fantastic you haven't heard of this band check it out but here's the thing it's not really a band it's one guy's name is Kevin Parker he plays all the instrumentation he writes everything he mixes it he engineers he is a wizard and my favorite part of the bass lines they're so so good tars are great I love his vocal production this is a must go check it out in the comments let me know what you think you might have some of his other albums and really like those let's get in a discussion and then tell me about your favorite bands that are actually one artist that does it all let's do that in those comments I'm counting on you I need you you're gonna do it thanks so much for watching this episode I hope you enjoyed it before I sign off though we have a winner for the voodoo lab giggity this is a giveaway that came from our Y beauty lab petals our amazing episode a few weeks back you ready Nick what's his name Nick Pennington you win an analog mastering preamp for a guitar it really is awesome I'm excited for you man if you were here right now we'd hug but we're not gonna have I'm just gonna mail this to you so you've won this if you didn't get to see the voodoo lab episode go check it out because it's pretty sweet if you liked this episode hit like subscribe to the channel click the Bell icon to get notifications of future episodes also check out the patreon account in the link below if you want to become a patron you get exclusive videos that no one else gets to see where I kind of dive into a deeper level of episodes I even posted one about Hendricks and his technology just some really fun stuff as I'm researching and doing phone calls and learning about things to share those with you over there also exclusive offers and the j-just show.com has nice shirts on it things like that if you're all those people that want stuff I don't know if you do but either way it's been good today and bye-bye
