on today's episode I'm going to show you a few must have two and one pedals you don't want to miss this stop putting your phone away stop it my good friend Tim Marcus of milk man's sound amplification the maker of the GHS allowed his Margit aunt put out this product a couple years ago it is called the amp because it is a small solid-state amplifier that powers a cabinet and has built-in reverb and tremolo it's spectacular but then he went a little nuts and took those effects out and put them into a single pedal called the f-stop that is a photography term that I won't get into just Wikipedia it's fun but it is a beautiful flat white paint the trim was beautiful the reverb is spectacular combined it is a very very useful pedal that I think most of you just need go by let me play it I'll prove it [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] next up is the broadcast by Hudson electronics this is the for knob 2 foot switch version it's rowdy it's crazy and I like everything about it so I'm gonna have this on then I'm gonna slam the boost on in front of it it's madness in the best possible way [Music] next up is a petal from a company that you probably haven't heard of but this is gonna be that moment where your life is forever changed and you know about it if you're prepared I will continue its the prelude by quiet theory and a guy named Brian Lorenson is the man behind all this he is the guitarist and a friend of mine from the band Copeland I've showed them on record time many of you love them know about them if you don't check them out this is awesome it is an ambient machine of the highest order delay and reverb you can stack it there's all kinds of settings just gonna display it in all of its splendor and I think you're gonna like it [Music] [Music] you [Music] this one is very affordable and it comes from a line of pedals that I'm almost positive I am destined to do an entire episode on but for today I'll just show you the dr. J Emerald overdrive these are made by Jo yo and it's an entire series based around a guy's designs that they took and manufactured for him and this is a really fantastic pedal think about pedals like the full drive or the Timmy kind of op-amp soft clipping pedals and then you have a really powerful op-amp boost that you can slam in front of or behind it's just a very versatile overdrive it does the transparent type thing all the way to the non transparent type thing and the case is really unique it's a size you don't ever see anywhere and I like it or I wouldn't be shown it [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is a pedal that needs no introduction although some of you may not have heard of it so it does deserve one but I'm not gonna give it the introduction it deserves I'm gonna play it and let it speak from the past from a place that it once existed before it was discontinued before the company changed their name and an easier time a time that was almost two decades ago it is the visual sound h2o it's a chorus and an echo all analog beautiful kind of heavy in an awkward case but what's not to love listen to it this one is from a really great company copper sound pedals we've been across from them at the NAMM show several times they even bought free pizza and had a ninja turtle themed thing going on it's pretty amazing they're good guys in this pedal is really really great it is called the Foxcatcher as you can see from that logo it's like a Swiss Army knife and I would say that of this pedal I think that's what they're trying to say so I will second that that it is very very versatile it has a Bluesbreakers style overdrive kind of like My Morning Glory or other things in that way and then you have a boost over here you can put it in different orders - fully independent it's great real great you [Music] [Applause] [Music] the Earthquaker devices disaster transport senior it's a big pedal it has three foot switches but it's actually just a two-in-one because the middle switch disengages all of it you can stack delay and delay B you have modulation you have reverb it is kind of an ambient dream come true traveling down a road of promises that you didn't know you needed that's exactly what this is [Music] the Rinne in cuffs super russian it is his version of the infamous big old green russian big muff made in the 90s by electro-harmonix under the name saab tech he has the creamy dreamer mod the traditional flat you can scoop the mids and then he has a buffer boost that slams into it it's pretty heavy I mean physically heavy like the old pedal is heavy and that's good and then it's just downright heavy so I think I have to drop to you the guitar and I got to play something that fits this and for that I'm sorry but what I really mean is you're welcome [Music] [Music] this next pedal is really new to the market just a few weeks old and it is very worthy of a must buy two and one it is the source audio collider delay + reverb they took the very powerful pedals like the nemesis and of interest their reverbs and delays they put the most popular things on each side so you have a reverb over here you have a delay over here and you get to stack them do crazy stuff you got true stereo MIDI control there's more jacks on this than anything I've ever seen it's amazing they crammed a lot of power in a very small package I'm gonna play the reverse delay because I'm a huge fan of all reverse delays and this one is massively tweakable and then I'm going to stack on a big ol and Miette reverb and we're just gonna chill we're gonna relax we're gonna bask in the fact that - and ones do things to us they bring us to new things not just one you can buy one pedal or you can buy one pedal that's actually - you be the judge of your own life I'm not gonna judge you but I will think about how you didn't buy it - and one when you should have and this is one you should buy seriously [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] today's record time is brought to you by London Calling by The Clash this is a 1979 release and it is a two-in-one record because it's a double album my favorite song is the title track London Calling it's the first clash song I ever heard I love it there are some really great deeper cuts on this album but I want you to go check it out if you've never heard it it's a must it's a fantastic album and if you were around when this came out drop a line in the comments and tell us what it was like to hear this for the first time and for everyone else what's your favorite double album let's go there right now in the comments you know you want to just do it thanks so much for watching this episode I hope you enjoyed it I want to give a big shout out to a few of the new patrons of our JT show patreon account Colby hopper Kenny Sheldon Mike Bradley Raph Dayton Elston gray russ birch paul travis just to name a few of you we're really excited that you're investing in the show and what we're trying to do to preserve the stories and history of guitar pedals if you're interested in that and kind of joining our patreon account as a patron there's a link in the description below i post a monthly video where i go in depth with all my notes from phone calls and studies on a previous episode so it's kind of like the behind-the-scenes in-depth talk through of things that weren't able to fit into the episode so that's really cool you get giveaways and offers that no one else gets and you get an exclusive look at upcoming episodes so on wednesday you know what the thursday episode is gonna be so click that link if you're interested in that we'd appreciate it also we are reissuing the loud is more good t-shirt we've changed it up so that those originals stay original we've changed some of the color scheme here and this is on our new website vGHS show.com there's a link below so go grab this if you didn't get on that initial run or if you just want a couple extra maybe 5 or 10 of these you never know where it every day I don't know what you guys do do whatever you want to do if you like this episode hit like subscribe to the channel and click the bell icon you'll get notifications of future episodes have a beautiful day
