so yeah. But a limo, sure,
that's a different ride. - Alright, so after seeing
some of these jokes that are clearly intended for adults
in these kids shows, why do you think there are
so many examples of this in shows for kids? - This way, maybe they're, it would be marketable
to the parents as well. So when the parents can actually
sit down with the children to actually watch TV,
it's a little something for everybody basically. - I think it's to help us
cope with listening to the cartoons in the background
of our daily lives. And also kinda just to
freak us out a little bit! I truly think it's a testing ground to see if, like,
your kid is getting stuff, and maybe it's an indicator
to you as a parent what you need to
talk to your kids about. - I just think that nowadays,
these topics are just more open. You know, and any type of
one liners they can get in there, (laughs) they try. - Clearly most of these
adult jokes did go over the kids' heads,
but in your opinion, did any of these jokes
cross the line, or do you think that it's
just all in good fun? - I think it's in good fun. So let the kids enjoy,
they enjoy it, if they need to speak
to you about it, have that relationship with your child
and speak to them about it. - Oh absolutely,
they all crossed the line. As a child, you know,
you don't get it, sometimes you don't even
realize what they're saying, and you know,
you just think it's funny. As an adult, I know,
me personally, I think they crossed
every, all the lines. - You know, the truth of the matter is
these jokes are not for, these episodes are not really
for children. I think it's really geared
for the parents. Just because I watch it
with you, does not mean that's
the best thing for you. I should be watching with you
and say hey, that's not appropriate,
let's turn it. - For an eight year old child,
Bowie's eight, I think yes, in some cases,
they are inappropriate, because he is getting them,
and he's taught not to talk in a certain way
around friends, but when he's watching a cartoon,
and the cartoon is normalizing certain, kind of, conversation,
then he's gonna think it's okay. - So finally, after watching
some of these clips, do you think that you
will be more conscious of the shows that you
allow your kids to watch now? Or do you think that this
is just kind of harmless, especially if they don't get it. - Well, you know,
it's hard to control everything they watch,
at the snap of a finger, everything's online, instantaneous. You know, it is what it is,
you just gotta deal with it and hopefully we can
figure out a way where we can control it, and if they have questions,
then we can explain it to them. - To be a good mom,
I would say yeah, I should watch more
what they're watching, but at the same time,
probably not. It's harmless, it's all gonna come out
at one point in time. - As parents, you just
do the best you can. You cannot catch everything, and I don't wanna
be a parent like that. You know, if they catch on
to certain things that are a little before their time,
thank goodness they have us here to talk to them about it,
