palm springs LG shoot, airbnb tour + why we got a new RH cloud couch!!

[Music] good morning guys and welcome to today's vlog i am starting off today in joshua tree we flew here yesterday we actually flew into palm springs we grabbed dinner we ate in the car because everything is closed and we drove here it's about an hour so we're actually in a super cute airbnb i'll give you guys a little tour once i actually leave our room i haven't left yet yes we are here for a work trip we were actually gonna stay two nights we always try to keep this trip like as short as possible we usually come for like a spring shoot once a year last year we actually went to arizona but this year we're doing joshua tree and palm springs so we're shooting at our airbnb here and then as we're like driving out of town we'll see if there's like anywhere else we want to stop and chew and then we have a few spots in palm springs and i think that we actually are going to be able to get done early enough to go home today the latest flight is at 4 50. so we were gonna shoot from like nine to five but we're gonna try to shoot from like eight to three so we're gonna try to do that and try to go home on the flight today instead of having to like stay the night and then go home in the morning so that's what we are hoping for but um usually on this trip i shoot all of the photos we actually have been shooting with a photographer sometimes like in the studio usually i shoot our studio photos too but we found a photographer that we really love but for this trip i'm just shooting so i will show you guys our airbnb it's super cute i've seen it on pinterest and it actually was not that expensive i feel like like i thought it would be more i'm gonna just like make the bed really fast i don't think we're even gonna shoot in this room actually but there's three bedrooms and then a super cute like kitchen and living room so i don't think we'll shoot like tons and tons in here last night we went through and planned out like exactly what we're shooting where is the view i also woke up so early at like 5 45 which there's time difference here so that's 6 45 at home which is usually when i wake up but you like look at your phone and it's like 5 45 it's just so early i mean my mom both i like rolled over and i looked at her and she was awake too so we were like okay let's just like get up for the day but anyways this was our room so there's a bathroom right here so my mom's in there getting ready this is our room super cute this is my photographer outfit i showed you guys what i packed but i just wanted something like comfy that i can move around in and whatever so you found a blow dryer here's my camera oh i packed this little tiny backpack with like two big cameras i have like my vlog camera the tripod i have this camera it's like our big camera why is your bag so big my mom has this huge like duffel bag i'm an under packer she's a dog packer yeah so it's a plan for the day we're gonna shoot as fast as we can and then try to head home and i haven't actually even told parker that i'm gonna come home yet i think i'm just gonna like walk in the door and surprise him if it works out so yeah no so yeah cute okay guys so starting the tour oh it's way too bright here's the outside when you go in this really cute living room super cute wallpaper and then on the other side this is like the world's smallest tv it's so funny and angie over here arranging all the clothes there's this mirror this cute little pink thing this is a super cute setup this is what the kitchen looks like and i'll take you guys down there in a minute that's where our room is there's a bathroom and then two more bedrooms but the models are still getting ready but this kitchen is so cute i like this tile my mom doesn't like it without the grill i don't think it's cool yesterday we went to the grocery store we always get like way too much food so this time i was like okay we need to get less we have some granola bars we were gonna stop for lunch but i think we're just gonna drive back are they cold oh those are cute we're just gonna drive back and like kind of eat lunch in the car so it's an hour drive back but so we just have like fruit some waters and then we also got a bunch of different yogurts so i got this one is it good we're trying a new brand i should have got raspberry i got peach but my mom insisted we get these sparkling waters and we're leaving today so there's eight of them to drink we got some bananas so we're gonna eat breakfast and we have like fruit and stuff too all right so we're getting started with the shoe this is a little behind the scenes of our documents we're crossing off what we've done then we wrote the models names and we numbered them so everything is speedy okay now showing you guys these bedrooms so here's the bathroom this is the bedroom that my mom stayed in that has bathroom over here and there's this little hallway this one is so cute so we shot in this bedroom it's a little bit dark because the sun's like on the other side of the house but super cute and then there's also this one which is way cute too so we shot in both of these ones and it's only like 8 30 we want it to be done here by like 9 30 or 10 so we're ahead of schedule hopefully we'll be able to make it on that earlier flight today all right day one of aspen gone are you ready i brought cove to the trampoline park that we just discovered you ready you're gonna have fun i'm gonna get some montage footage so let's do it just walked in we have the whole place to ourselves baby let's go you ready cove you already know what to do you remember this place huh nice going all the way to the top yeah dude [Music] all right first location in palm springs this is the women's club we've shot here before we usually just shoot a few pikes outside so this is our first spot and then we have one more that i'll show you guys next but i'm gonna set the camera up to film [Music] i'm gonna officially document that you're of her weird thanks mom okay guys so update we are now at the airport we i told you guys we were gonna come home tomorrow so we thought we wouldn't be done by 4 50. but we actually are getting on the 120 flight we finished so fast a lot of our spring stuff we still have to it's like not here yet so we're gonna have to shoot it at home and like hurry and edit the pictures but we got a lot of cute pictures i'm super excited but yeah it was literally so fast it's like not even one yet and we are done so we got lunch we checked our bag and now we are about to fly home all right we're back from the bounce place uh we had a blast it was a lot of fun cove loved it and we got some lunch came home now she's taking a nap so um i don't know when they're gonna be here aspen said between 11 30 and 3 30 but we're getting a new couch so it actually worked out great they let us just exchange this we're just returning this and getting the bigger one with different covers and aspen wanted me to record it so here we are usually don't like to be like right in the delivery people's faces when they're delivering stuff i'm gonna move a couple things first so i'm gonna move this all right so i filmed that last clip a couple hours ago it's now almost three o'clock cove's awake from her nap she's in our room watching a show because as you can hear craziness going on out here they're finishing up some stuff in the basement and then they just knocked to deliver and take this couch so i'm gonna set this camera up right here and film i don't wanna stay here no ain't gonna keep it low now if you wanna go let's go let's wrap it up and hit the road i just got an awesome vibe striking to win the post [Music] time did you make mom surprise yeah hey what's the heck mommy zone oh my god i know [Music] all right guys so it's a few days later i wanted to film the last clip of this vlog being like an update on this couch yeah because i didn't show it all the way complete and put together it's also so loud in the basement they've been like i don't even know what they're doing but it's been like non-stop like this so i was gonna wait to film this and then just like keeps going so ignore that noise hopefully you can't even hear it so i don't know what exactly parker filmed for you guys but i'm gonna tell you the story of how we ended up with a new cloud couch we got the cloud couch i think back like last may so we had it for a while we thought about it for a long time i asked a lot of people if they liked it like i know remy has it who else has it there's like a few other friends i have jc has it and they all love it so i was like cool we've wanted it forever we're gonna get it so we decided to get the washed belgian flax linen fabric because i don't know why we got that one it's actually what we have we have the cloud bed and we haven't had any issues with that fabric being on our bed so it has like this border around the whole thing obviously we use our bed every day but we're not like sitting on it and like touching it all the time like on the fabric part all the workers are coming up we grab luma obviously we have a white couch which is harder to keep clean anyways but the fabric we just like did not like it and it's so expensive so i got on their customer service chat and i was like is there anything like we can do about this it was a really expensive purchase and i feel like it's just like not like we just did not pick the best fabric and they have really awesome customer service they said yes they let us exchange either the cushion covers because they all can come off so we were washing them like every other week and then that specific fabric it's so wrinkly that basically it was like it was just a pain so they said we could exchange either the whole couch or just the covers so i got a bunch of samples i was thinking about not getting white but i couldn't do it so i did get white again but this time we got the perennials performance textured women linen weave so kate karen from kk baby j she also has this couch so i had asked her about it and this is the fabric that she has and she swears it's like amazing and she has three little boys so i was like okay if you don't have a hard time keeping that clean with three little boys that fabric is definitely much better so we've had this for a few days um i don't know so look at it this is it i mean you guys probably never even would have noticed that it's different but we did it is a different fabric so it's not quite as like soft because it needs to be more like durable so it's still soft and comfortable but so it just has like a little more to it and there's there's been a few like spots and stuff i don't even know from what because we don't eat out here and we don't like kobe out here so i don't know how it gets dirty i did get another white i actually ordered the cream covers and it was like kind of stripy there was like almost a print to it so i didn't really like that and i wasn't going to do gray because i just wouldn't match anything else in the house so since they were letting us exchange anyways i was like okay let's exchange for we have like the standard oh come on they're coming like in and out we got like i can't think of what the name is also it's not connected right there yeah i like it well i didn't even explain yet that we decided to get the bigger one because they have three different depths and so we had got like the standard one oh it's the so we called the classic right and i was like okay i kind of wish we got the luxe one because it's deeper so it's just like more comfy and loungy you're right so yeah they let me exchange it and i just had to pay the difference for like the bigger size i like it i didn't i'm glad we didn't i think we need to stick with this one no more changing we're not changing again okay that's what i'm saying yeah we wanted to give you guys a little update on what the give a little shout out to restoration hardware because they have really great customer service to let us do that because it was outside of the return period so it's deeper and it's a little bit bigger so there's still plenty of room in this walkway but before the couch only went to probably like here so we have a little bit less room but there's still plenty so it's fine and it's so deep and so comfy again there's been a couple little things on it already i don't even know what it's from but i can just like take a wet rag and wipe it away so so far i definitely am happy with it i'm happy that we did it thumbs up yeah they just had really nice customer service to let us do that if anyone is thinking about getting the cloud couch definitely get the perennials performance textured linen leaf fabric wow [Music] i did so much no it's not i'm just updating you guys on the couch we haven't had any problems on the belgian linen for our bed but yeah karen swears by this one so anyways that's all that's the update we have for
