family trip to the ice castles + playroom time with coco!

[Music] [Applause] good morning guys and welcome to today's vlog we are currently loading up the car getting ready to go on a little family date to the midway ice castles if you guys live in utah you've probably heard of them we actually haven't ever been i'm not even sure like exactly what it is basically it's just like a cool place that people go here it's like an hour away so it's a kind of a long drive and it's 9 30 our time is 11 i think it's like 11 to 11 30 so it's kind of like a short time too to drive like an hour you only get 30 minutes we're supposed to go with my cousin and a friend like a few weeks ago and then we talked about it for like a month we had a plan for like a month and the night before we were talking about it we're like yeah we'll meet at this time blah blah and i was like wait i cannot find my confirmation email somehow i didn't buy the tickets even though we had been talking about it for like a month my cousin had like sent the link i was so confused because i'm so on top of like planning things so we are actually going with some other friends this time jack and kenna and their cute little baby tommy so i'm excited to go i have on this super cute coat it's actually i think it's snowing up there it's been snowing pretty hard so i'm definitely not dressed warm enough uh kind of okay just been loading everything up so we are going to head out and she also usually naps at 12 but i don't think we're gonna get back to like one so hopefully she's not grumpy but we'll see how it goes i'm excited to go there's no going back to your own [Music] all right guys well we made it we are for sure under dress compared to everyone else they're wearing like snow boots and like really heavy coats and it is snowing right now but i've never been here i don't really i don't know if it's like inside kind of or outside i think it's kind of like igloos i don't really know yeah i don't have gloves everyone's literally in like snow boots so i don't know we're gonna see how this goes but we'll see how my tennis shoes hold up yeah you should have at least one food i put them all i have this we have evidence in the video i put them on and said do they look do these look silly and you say no you didn't put boots on they were boots i thought they were like tennis shoes no they were snow boots no [Music] okay wow look at that that's what we're going into right now i'm curious as to how they make it i'm sure that there's some signs or something that tell us or maybe there's someone like telling us yeah like a video but i'm excited to find out how it's made aspen earlier was like i wonder if they keep it up all year because how would they remake this i don't know i think that i don't know i wonder if they just have like metal structures in it that i don't know we'll find out i'm sure look at that the ice castle this is why everyone's wearing snow [Music] we'll boots [Music] [Music] [Music] okay guys this is what it looks like once you get a little bit farther in it's crazy i'm so confused how they make this and it's so trippy with the sky right now because it's like a really snowy day it feels like a fake sky i know it does it feels like we're in a dome like yeah like in an igloo or something the whole thing feels artificial do you like it it's pretty cool jack and kenna were a little bit behind us so it's pretty fun jack and kenna are here insane yeah [Music] about how me and jack became friends welcome to the vlog guys first time to the vlog this is jack i feel like we get questions if we ever like hang or yeah people are like wait how do you know each other but yeah parker me and jack i've never been home since sixth grade sixth grade but we weren't we didn't we weren't friends like we took class together in like sixth grade right you guys went back but then eighth grade we became real good friends and i remember i rode the bus home with you once yeah do you remember that i remember we went swimming when we started playing basketball together right and then we played sports together and now the rest is history and we both neither of us ever touched the camera before looking around marrying our wives and now what girls can do we're in line for some food too we're starving okay guys we are back in the car it got a little crazy at the end because i think cove was just like cold i don't know we definitely were not dressed for the occasion i should have had snow boots on for sure i wasn't like freezing or anything but my toes were cold but i think cole was just like hungry and kind of over it at the end so yeah i put the camera away i was like let's just like take five more minutes to like see it all and hang out and then we can go but now we actually are about to pick up some tacos there's this place in orem called 180 tacos and it is so good and we don't live close to here at all so even though we are like trying to get home fast so that cove can nap it's like four minutes away from the exit or whatever we just got off of so i was like we have to stop and get some so parker is running in right now to grab those and i'm gonna just feed cove in her seat because she needs lunch so i'm gonna feed her so that she doesn't have to like sit and eat a meal at home before she can take her nap but we have her sitting right here she has a snack she has her binky we turned on trolls i posted a picture of her like this and a lot of people asked for the link to the ipad holder i can't find the exact one but i found one that looks a lot better so i'll link that down below normally we only do ipad in the car when we're driving like on a long road trip sometimes if we go up to my mom's house which is like still an hour drive but this thing really comes in handy the holder for it so we are gonna eat our tacos i got cove mac and cheese and tater tots so i'm just gonna like spoon feed her her lunch i also curled my hair today and it is like straight now but it's so weird because this side of my hair has always like not curled and look how straight it is compared to even this side still has like a little bit of curl to it it's so weird i don't know and like so annoying even this front piece this side was curlier in the front than this other side and it is like stick straight so anyways i'm so excited to eat my tacos you guys this is the best place these are the nachos they're so so good there's your tacos i think a little life hack guys i'm gonna bring my bowl home putting it on my seat with my seat heater on baby oh wait these are like full yeah these are my falafel tacos so i'm gonna eat these really quick and then feed chocolate mac and cheese because tacos right now and then it's 12 55. so she'll probably nap like two to four and then go to bed at like eight tonight maybe maybe 8 30. so you go to bed a little bit late huh but you're good you're just chilling really full yeah be careful not to make it so good though so good good morning guys it is the next day now and coco and i are just hanging out in the playroom parker actually went and took my car to get serviced some of the lights on there like the dashboard lights or whatever have literally been on there for so long we have been meaning to take it in forever but it is just happening today so he might be getting a couple of vlog clips to put in the vlog i am on my way to the uh volkswagen dealership service center because it's that time of the year guys actually i don't know how long it's been since we got a service last it's that time one thing this uh look at this see that that's supposed to open all the way and it's not supposed to make that annoying sound so that's not working we need to get an oil change all to make like routine maintenance stuff we need to have done there's a few different things that you know just got to keep up on aspen's not coming to pick me up today i'm gonna have to just sit there all day long i'll uh update you guys when i get there [Music] [Music] but kobe and i are up here playing it's actually snowing outside like kind of a lot that's always fun what are you doing we have on our matching outfits today too they're so cute they're from shock judy gray we just got a package of a bunch of cute stuff from them actually i'll show you guys while she's playing she has all of these toys and one of her favorite things to get out is this little basket usually is up here and it's full of like more like baby toys from when she was littler and she loves to play with those over like all of the stuff in here but this is actually a new thing that we just got um i just got it on amazon but it's a little like balance board thing and she loves it it's so fun or like a wobble board or something look do you want to play with this so you can have it be this way or you can flip it over and they can climb on it so she loves that but we actually also have this climbing thing that she loves and usually it goes in the basement we've had it in the playroom and it just takes up too much room so the basement's gonna be done in a couple weeks but for now i was like i'm just gonna put this here and i don't care and it's like in the way of this living room because the playroom was just way too crowded but i'll show you guys a couple of the things we got from shopjimmy gray they sent so many cute things for a spring um so i have this cute set for cove i think this is a little like romper sweatshirt romper i love putting her in these they're super cute and then i have a matching shirt of this and then they had a bunch of super cute beanies in all different colors we have pink yellow green blue and then they always have a lot of really cute two-piece sets so this one is a little pullover and these are actually little flare pants which is so cute so we got this like kind of minty green color and i also got it in actually it's right here i just don't have the top because it's getting washed but we got it in purple and then are you talking are you saying hello say hello this cute sweatshirt and then it has these cute little shorts that actually have attached leggings but i think i'm going to cut those off because i like it with just the shorts did you turn on your sound machine so we got that in blue and purple and they all have such cute little like matching hats and then i have another sweatshirt romper in this color and i also got some new bows from bloom head wraps this was my favorite headband company when cole was little and would actually wear headbands and i think these are new so they're cute little like clips i feel like she doesn't have quite enough hair right now to put these in i feel like these would be way bigger than like her little buns so when she has a little more hair i think i'll use these more but they're super cute so what are you doing she's so funny i always like tap this thing with my foot because you can like put two fingers on it or your foot i guess and it turns it off so i always do that instead of like actually bending down to do it and so now she puts her foot on it and it's the cutest thing ever you are funny can you put it away oh no we're gonna clean okay mom can do it what where should we go going to take it to your playroom i'm going to shut the door so she can't escape it's also a little bit quiet because luma just went to go and get a haircut i feel like we get her groomed literally so often we probably do every like seven or eight weeks which is kind of i think that's so frequent and her hair just grows so fast so yeah she's at the groomers today do you want to read books what books should we read don't want to read that to you yeah yeah what else i'm picking out the big ones huh oh did that hurt your foot are you okay you have this cute one that my friend sam gave her it's like an office book yeah that's cool huh should we read it hear your sweet voice then i see your face i think it goes in this one that one's blue let's put it in the blue one try again good now we need yellow where did that yellow one go you're gonna have to turn it it goes right here it's okay mom can help can you help mom good thank you yeah are you vlogging you're all done with it oh thank you do you love it thank you you put on oh it fell are you done playing with this basket can we pick up these toys do you want to put this in the basket put it in the basket come on we got to clean up when we're all done put it in good can you clean up more mom's cleaning too can you put it in the basket oh oh that was your favorite when you were little baby show me yeah what is that dog what does the dog say what does the lion say what does a kitty say wow oh you're hugging it all right guys so quick update i am now at home the car ended up taking longer than they had expected because i guess they had to pull the whole roof out of the top of the car in order to fix that sun shade and i guess they actually just replaced the whole thing they couldn't fix it they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so they just put a whole new one in and we'll see how it looks i just got a message saying that the technician is just getting it all like kind of cleaned up and i'm going to pick up luma so i'm gonna go pick up luma come back then i think aspen and i are gonna go run some errands pick up the car so let's go pick up luma all right so i'm assuming aspen did it before and here's the after luma how do you feel you look cute i actually really like this haircut i think it looks really good but anyways that's all for today's
