VLOG: New Restoration Hardware Cloud Couch | Pretty Proper Quaint

hi guys welcome back to my vlogs so as you saw in my last vlog i did a lot of updates to my closet and i just kind of want to update you a little bit about some changes that i made here and then some big things happening today so here is the final version of the little closet setup so since i last showed you guys this is new um this little like section here is new so to give you a little tour i have this headband holder set up here with some headbands and some other things my sunnies which is really cute this little like pull out thing and then this like necklace holder which i got from homesense the other day and i really like it it makes me feel like that boutique vibe that i was really trying to go for and i can see very easily all of my necklaces in here i have a pull out drawer and these little organizers are from ikea as well and it fits perfectly in here i set up all of my earrings and then my bracelets and a few other straggler necklaces that i didn't put on there still trying to decide for this area right now i have some floppy hats and things here um but i like to keep this available in case i get some other bags or anything like that i added one more drawer so i have two drawers on the bottom and rearrange them a little bit here so these are all of my scarves so my dark black to gray and then my neutral browns to assume some other colors in the back here and it goes pretty deep actually i just kind of rolled them to set them all in here and they fit perfectly thank goodness i was not sure bottom drawer is my baseball hats i really love baseball hats um so i have quite a few here and i also really love beanies especially in the winter well i guess only in the winter they keep me so warm i think they're so cute and i hate it when my ears are pulled i don't know if i'm probably gonna wear them as much here since i have a car and everything now but living in the city they were so necessary um and then my gloves and then i added one other shelf here and these are my shoes so that's it so i need to set up still the rest of the room i ordered the bench so that's probably gonna be coming sometime next week i'm really really excited for that and then sad news about the rug the rug it was actually sold out and was no longer available granted it's home sense so apparently like you gotta get it when you're there and then otherwise it's probably gonna be gone so that's fine i bought it for my office so what i'm probably gonna do is change the rug that's in my office and put that in my closet and i'll just put a different rug in my office because i kind of don't really like the vibe of the white in here although i love the plushness of it it's so comfy so this is the office i mean i do like the white but i think i'll probably go with something different because i think this will be more perfecter for my closet it's like so plush i love it hi baby he's so cute so we made some changes here we're getting our new couch in today which is super exciting so we put our old furniture in here and our new couch will be going in here because obviously right now we have like this tiny little couch it's actually not that tiny it just doesn't fill this room so it looks tiny um so we'll put this in the other room and our this will be our new couch so the couch comes later today so i can't wait to show you guys um we really thought long and hard about this decision and i think we're happy with it i'm really excited to see it in here with like the layout that we picked the fabric and everything so i hope we love it i think we will but i can't wait to show you later we also need to get a rug in there too but that's more to come now has been hanging out on this chair all day you're so cute so over here we moved the rug in to the dining room so our table comes next week so stay tuned for that for the next week's vlog and then i want to get a bigger mirror here i think it'd be really cute between the two sconces when we put them in but this is really good to help me envision a black mirror you know just think of it as bigger but the colors i think will go really really well so and then our table is not black so it'll have a neither of the chairs so it'll be the black the black a little bit of black gray here and then a lighter table and lighter chairs so excited about that so that's it for right now a little bit later when the couch comes i'll bring you back and show you what it looks like can't wait right now i'm going to go to the dmv really quickly they started this new like appointment system so hopefully i can be as quick as possible there i'm getting a new jersey license and changing out of my new york license see you soon okay guys it is here our new couch here it is it is so beautiful in this space i love it so so much we might actually move it out a little bit more but it looks stunning and we got this new little blanket festive festivities a little nala pig yes and it goes so perfect with our little couch so we ended up getting the restoration hardware cloud couch and we got the modular one um in the white perennial fabric and in the classic depth so this is that i put the blanket on here because it's cute but also to help with nala but she wants to sit on the couch and whatnot i have a little area she loves to blanket anyway this is the other room and we just kind of put the stuff here um one restoration hardware people came and delivered our couch they were so nice to also move our old couch so so so nice it was literally seamless it was really great um and we just made sure to tip them i like really love this room here too this room i think is really good this i have to work on the layout and everything here but we just kind of had to get it out of the way and too bad maybe actually i'll move this little rug here okay so i put this little rug under here and i think that i hate it i don't know if i hate it because of the rug or if i hit it because of that chair in this corner let's move some things around and see what we think okay i think it's a little bit better without the chair there got some light on the subject but i still feel like the rug is just weird all right i'm gonna fix this up a little bit is this better or should i just get rid of the rug i'm getting rid of that rug this frog is so stupid it like is way too small it's supposed to go in front of the door and i just this is gonna go hi baby so we just got our fire working it looks stunning and i just picked up some firewood from home depot and i put them in here for right now i think it's kind of cute there but we love the fire and i also picked up this blanket that i've been eyeing for so long going to cozy up with some tea and a book right now no while we watch planet earth i know blacks look so good is this planet earth so this is my tea drawer i love tea so i have like many different kinds in here and i have some that are for like daytime some like this super green tea brain boost i really like or just some simple green tea here but then i also have ones that are like for sleep my other favorite my favorite brand is this traditional medicine noodles medicinals and this one is cup of calm and this one is so good this 99 extra with valerian this like knocked me out recently really really good and then we take these sometimes tonight i think i'm gonna drink one of these it has chamomile i really like anything that has chamomile in it um at night or sometimes during the day if i need it so i think it's kind of a meal and lavender i think i don't really actually remember what's in it even though it says sleep it not that's it's not necessarily for sleep but just like coming down and relaxing so it's sunday morning and we are starting our day off right we are getting breakfast at our new fave spot um but it's freezing outside so we can't eat outside um so we're getting the food to go and we're gonna eat at home and we're getting some starbucks but later we're gonna go do all of our errands and hopefully decorate for christmas watch the masters yes but decorate for christmas also no no no we're just getting a few christmas decorations i'm not gonna start decorating no but like just like a little bit like we may get a tree no or not no like the little trees remember we talked about this and your pots and pans that you need anyway breakfast is now ready okay so we just did a bunch of shopping for holiday decorations and things and you can see some of it back there so i'm really excited to do that while peter finished watching his games and everything i'll be decorating so i'll take you along for that and show you kind of like the things that we're doing okay we're home we got everything in and we just basically inhaled chipotle and let's get started on the holiday decorating so we got these really cute little trees i love them so much they actually are so perfect they actually matched my little uh pumpkins i know it looks quite ridiculous with the pumpkins on it but i might bring them inside until after thanksgiving um i don't know but i like these a lot i'm gonna take off the bow and the tags but i think these are like really really cute and i also got little lights for them and i may put little lights on them but um i picked them out also because i like this little bucket thing that it came with and we can reuse them every year super cute okay so this is the new little garland that i got for the uh the top of the mantel i think it looks pretty cute pretty subtle i like how it has a little bits of white that was really important because we have like a white theme going on and i just like kind of dispersed all right i'm going to have to probably adjust this okay so this is how we decorated the mantel and got this little garland from target and then we have over here these little trees i'm still deciding how i feel about them and the candles that are kind of with them over here i might just keep two kind of right there and then we got this new little fireplace tool set that peter said he needed for our fire which he's probably gonna start now and we also put up this little i think i talked about this last time already looks so cute okay i just put up this wreath and it actually fits and looks great i use the command hooks thing and it's actually pretty easy and it fits perfectly in between there and i kind of really like it i feel like it also gives us a little bit more privacy from this window hello so we have now lived on this couch for the past two days since we've had it and we love it so much so usually when we're spending our time on this couch we put a ton of blankets down so we have two blankets here but we have other blankets that we also use and we have the blankets on top of it we and then we also lay under them so we just basically have lots of blankets and pillows kind of situation going on here especially if sometimes nala wants to get on we are trying to be very cognizant of this being white but so far so good we've only had it two days it does kind of show like everything so with like your hair or like a little fuzz or something so i am constantly just like after i use it just making sure that i just swipe everything off so that's something to be aware of i also just picked up this blanket and i've been eyeing this for so long and i am so happy once the couch came i was like i'm ready to get it and i got it from pottery barn i'll link it below as well right now they were having a sale and i had like a little reward through them so i figured it was time to bite the bullet and get it and i'm so so happy i did i love the colors it goes with everything that i'm wearing and everything that i want my life to be about so i love it it's really really soft and it has like this velvety inside and i got the largest size and i do not regret that size it's perfect and it's very very warm i slept with this on my bed one night and i was so so hot um i think it's just best for down here which is fine so some of our other furniture that we kept here this sea table i actually really love how it fits perfectly over this so that's really nice that it worked out we moved the plant over and we got this little dyson purifier air purifier here so like the kitchen here i just thought it was a good placement to like circulate some air especially with our fireplace here then we also have this other little side table that was from our last apartment and this lamp sometimes if you want just like a little bit of light and all of the other lights are just too much this little light's good especially if i want to just like read in this little corner and have like a cup of tea so it's nice to be able to put some things there but you don't really see the table too much which i like so we also did the decorating like you saw and after we decorated i just added a few more touches like these candles which are so so beautiful up there when it's all lit and our fire is on and everything these candles were from our wedding ceremony i got this stuff from target this garland because they were having a sale we got this new little set here this matte black little like fireplace thing that goes really well and i like it a lot we got that from lowe's and pete said that we needed this in order to have a fire and then i got these little trees from target i'm still kind of testing them out but i think i like them and i put few candles here to go so this is our old little setup here a few quick little comments i do want to share about the couch as like a first impression of this couch so if you followed any of our vlogs you know you know that we've been looking at this couch for a really long time we knew because of all of our research that we did we knew kind of exactly what we wanted from the color to the fabric and then like what layout and all the different kind of things so we did a lot of research and we knew exactly what we wanted since we were pretty specific about what we wanted we kept looking and calling all the different rh outlets and trying to figure out if we can get one at an outlet store because ideally that would have been preferential but every time we would see one that was never really in white if they were we were in white then it was more of like the linen and we didn't want the linen and also they were kind of dirty also it's kind of weird because they were white and everybody's sitting on them so we decided ultimately it was best for us to just order it and get it this way because of how specific we are with it we are still looking for like bedside tables and maybe like a console or something and we are always checking rh outlet but as far as the couch because it's white and all those things we did decide to order it so this color and everything was in stock so technically like we didn't have to like pre-order it and for it to take a really long time however even the in stock items still take like weeks to come so i think from when we ordered it to when it actually came what they do is they actually ship the couch to like a distribution center which takes like i don't know two weeks or three weeks or so and then after it arrives at the distribution center which i was like a hawk watching waiting for it to get there asking because um they say when it's they think it's gonna get there so i called and found out when they think it's gonna get there and then i just kept calling and make sure that like i was on it and then when it does get there that's when you can schedule it to be delivered into your home and it's usually like two days after that so it's pretty quick once it gets to the distribution center you just have to be like on top of that so what we got so we got the white perennial couch fabric which is basically kind of like that linen look but it's a perennial so it's supposed to be a lot more durable because we have the dog and just because like we're humans and we're going to be spending a lot of time on this couch apparently like it's more like water resistant and stain resistant and stuff you can always kind of still clean it too which is good they say that you're supposed to have like a special couch cleaner person cleaning or whatever but we'll see how that goes when that time comes i'm sure that we'll probably have to clean it at some point for one thing that we were really unsure about is we knew that we obviously loved the couch and we thought it was the most comfiest thing ever and we still do we had our old couch the west elm one that was in our new york city apartment tour if you haven't seen it i'll link that below too and that couch for us was always like the comfiest couch we love it so much and we're like is this couch really more comfier or like is it going to be even nicer than the one that we have like is it worth the upgrade so we ultimately obviously decided it was worth the upgrade but what we do now sometimes is we put some of the cushions and the pillows and stuff from our old couch like on here because we just like love lots of pillows and blankets and stuff we're really like a cozy family and we can tell when you have these cushions next to the west elm cushions that these are so much more like softer you've like fall into it more oh and we got the core wrapped fabric it's not fully down so it's core there's a core in the middle and then it's the found feathers and everything like around it so this isn't even as like smooshy or whatever as it gets because i wanted to like i what i've done in my research is that it holds its shape a little bit better with that core um but anyway it's really really perfect even with the core wrapped you can still tell it's like more smooshy and soft and whatever than the west elm one so definitely love that and i think it's nice that we still kind of get to use those other cushions if we want something that's like higher for our legs and stuff we're all over this couch but the the length and the width and everything of this couch is so perfect so we did the modular one because we wanted to really build it to fit this space perfectly we did one corner one armless one corner one armless and then an ottoman so we did a five piece set here and we measured it out so and this is the classic not the lux or petite so this is just the classic size and if we would have done the lux it would have been too big this way and i really like how much space we have here that's something i was really nervous about is i didn't want it to be super close for when you come down from the kitchen but it's really really good and then i'm really glad that we picked this ottoman here because it makes it feel a little bit more open from this area this table probably just will get moved throughout whatever but like if you're coming in from the kitchen you can just come in and just like plop down onto the ottoman and it being just like supercash and our tv is stunning queen we love it so much the blacks are amazing obviously in it and we love our whole little setup so that's that we still have to get something up here i'm probably gonna do a little bit more decorating here and we're probably gonna put our christmas tree like in this corner because i don't think we have any space at all here hence the little trees over there but yeah i hope that's helpful this is our first impression of the couch as we use it more and life goes on and everything i'll probably do an update later in one of my other vlogs but this is my first impression of it
