Overlords Hierarchy & Power Ranking: The Elites of Hazbin Hotel Explained!

has been hotel has completed production of season one a while ago but the show seems to be delayed until next year for reasons that aren't entirely clear while hell of a boss focuses more on the seven princes and R's goisha royalty has been Hotel was set to explore hell being ruled by not native demons but by overlords overlords can have different Roots but in the show it generally refers to an earthborn sinner who is risen to power in Hell In One Way or Another often through some sort of Industry that they control it would seem that native demons can be considered overlords too however and there does seem to be some long-living or Immortal demon overlords around such as alistair's friend Rosie who is said to be a Nave to hell as is the Von Eldridge family that the Lucifer family is so close to those details and a lot of the ones we will be discussing today will be from old interviews and streams as has been Hotel of course doesn't have as much official content as hell of a boss so some of it may be outdated or been sourced incorrectly but it should give us a general idea of what we know about the power structure of these overlords so far in the has been Hotel pilot Angel indicates that he isn't aware of who Alistar is and vagi gives him a quick history lesson on the overlords in alistair's place in their hierarchy she describes there as being overlords in place for a long period of time before Alistar manifested in hell and knocked them over seemingly overnight this would have been in the early 1900s by Earth's history and it allowed for a rush of new overlords to come in after Alistair that would bring in entirely new Industries ones that may not have been able to rise up if the original overlords were monopolizing how hell's infrastructure works the Pioneers for this would be the three V's three humans who brought in different forms of media and entertainment that allowed them to reshape and take control of hell this started with Vox dying in the era of early TV Vox manifested as a TV based demon and by introducing actual screen technology into hell his power to travel through screens and watch people through them has made him one of the most powerful overlords in the the has been Hotel prequel comic we see him doing this to spy on Alistar in particular when he stops to see what everyone is watching on a TV Alistair was from the time of radio and believed that it was the peak of human development with TV just being a trashy fad he believed would die out Vox didn't want to fade out the way radio did so instead of keeping the Monopoly of TV to himself he brought in other powerful Sinners who had new developments from Earth that he could exploit giving them power but also increasing his own this led to him meeting Valentino who died in the era of early adult films while sexual debauchery is something osmodius has probably always pushed in Hell being the embodiment of lust and whatnot Valentino focused on taking people away from real sexual interaction and focusing more on filmed exploits adult films of course create less incentive to go out and try and meet someone else and more incentive to stay inside and go deeper into The Fringe interests and fetishes with the way porn addiction works the immortal Sinners of hell would just fall deeper and deeper down weird adult film rabbit holes and reach levels of dependency that humans on Earth can't because of our shorter life spans like with angel dust and his addiction to PCP the audience for these adult films can just get more and more addicted until the entirety of their existence is just working to pay for the materials of a big name star like angel dust combining this with the screen technology that Vox had seemed like an obvious choice and it worked out so well that the two appear to be in a romantic relationship of sorts within the show the third member of their team is Velvet who died in the early age of social media and has brought hell to where we are with our current social media apps and perhaps even Beyond with the kind of mystical technology that hell has velvet's use of screens turned them into tools that everyone had in their pockets meaning Vox had even more access to everyone's information and can travel to just about anywhere through those screens the only exception to this seems to be Alistar as in a preview gift from the upcoming season we see Vox get some sort of Alistair virus error when he tries to watch or interact with Alistar in some way now in terms of actual power it's hard to say where all these overlords really stand with each other when vaggy discusses the overlords and image appears with many of the known overlords that some fans believe to be in the official power ranking based on their Arrangement a others think it is not the power ranking per se as Alistair seems to be near the bottom but rather it's a general map of their power with Alistar being at the bottom not because he's weak but rather because this Montage was ultimately about him we also know him to have powers unique from the others While most seem to have their power rooted in Industry Alistair seems to get his from some unknown mysterious Voodoo source and his powers are hinted at running much deeper than the show might even Explore just around him or even slightly below him I'd say are velvet and Valentino two of the three V's with Vox interestingly Rising much higher up Valentino and velvet are powerful but their power relies almost entirely on Vox and I have the feeling he could cut them off at any moment if he wanted to and walk away perhaps even more powerful than before the three vs are something of a family and while I imagine they will have tension I think he really does see Valentino and velvet as his partner and child and at the end of the day I don't think he won to sabotage them even if things go bad with that in mind it's very possible that these two are very low level overlords independently and thus would be lower on a technical power ranking than Vox and now above Alistar even if just by a bit appears to be an Overlord we know to be named Rosie and another Overlord I've heard rumors of but haven't seen any concrete information about with these blue flames Rosie we know to be a close friend of alistair's and supposedly a native born demon in hell we can see in the pilot that she owns a shop of sorts and that she used to own it with someone named Franklin after the recent annual extermination however Rosie is seen Crossing out his name and smiling devilishly at the camera Rosie was described by a crew member as being a two or three on a power scale from 1 to 10. I took that to mean very low but I've heard it argued that it's the opposite that she's really powerful and one would be the most powerful with her being just a bit below that this was not a power rating by vivzipop herself so should all be taken with a handful of grains of salt what we do know however is that she has ties to the cannibal Community thanks to the earlier mentioned Alistair prequel comic here Alistair goes to the cannibal column to enjoy some fellow sinner me and while there sees a bunch of well-dressed demons eating someone who did not conform to the old-timey standards that the colony has as Immortals the demons are believed to respawn or regrow but it is said to be a very painful process and cannibalization is probably one of the most heinous things a sinner can face in Hell before just having to come back and keep on living Alistair tells these girls to say hi to Rosie for him and it's been said in live streams that the two are very close and will even have a duet together in the show this other demon appears in other shots of the pilot as well with his blue flames but I don't know his name I've heard a lot about this guy but nothing I've ever seen confirmed in any way or form so there isn't much to say I imagine him to be on par with Rosie or perhaps tied to her in some way though he doesn't appear to be the Franklin that Rosie is crossing out as he seems to have died in the extermination and this demon is seen watching Charlie's broadcast later in the pilot now above them we have two interesting bird demons with Vox the TV Overlord Rising above them the one on the left appears to represent actors and theater what with his two faces looking like the comedy and tragedy mask the other one is believed to be focused on movies or perhaps music these would be powerful figures in Hell either way but one still subservient two box at the end of the day particularly if one is film or music focused as a lot of that would still be channeled through Fox's screen technology even if just you click on the song you want to listen to through your phone the one on the left was redesigned from the original preview including this clip where he appeared to look a lot more like stolis from hell of a boss indicating that sometime between this previews release and the pilot the character of Blitz Moxie and stolis were changed to be moved to their own show now above them and Vox even are three overlords we see early on in the pilot surrounding none other than Lucifer himself as the king of Hell in the embodiment of Pride it would make sense that the most powerful of Sinners or overlords would be part of his personal Entourage while Lucifer said to help facilitate the annual extermination and shouldn't be in any danger from it they seem to be hiding with Lucifer almost as if to protect him perhaps not even from the exterminators but from Rogue Sinners who are using the chaos of the night to try and attack someone important like Lucifer one of these overlords I've heard two referred to as Camila which is the woman who opens the curtains the background is a demon who supposedly is named zestial and finally we have the big dinosaur looking girl who we know to be named Zilla as she even speaks later in the pilot while watching Charlie's broadcast at a bar the other names I'm not 100 sure are correct they are mostly listed on Old role play wikis that gave fake names to lesser-known background characters and gave them really dramatic roles these are just some of the overlords however and others featured in The Pilot are not included in this little map of the overlords a great example of this is the Yvonne Eldridge family that appears in photos in the background of Charlie's hotel they appear as family friends to the morning stars with Charlie even dating their son saviathan early on these figures were imagined as sort of new money from what I understand sort of loved crafty and Abominations that manifested in hell but had no claim to royalty like other demons seemed to instead they worked their way up and are described as being sort of a new big business money that naturally becomes close friends with Royals and Elites just like in real life in addition to Old Wiki entries and live streams a lot of this information I have comes from conversations with big fans from the early zoophobia to has been Hotel transition with a lot of information being more or less lost or hard to accurately source so keep in mind this is just stuff that's been said sometimes by busy pop sometimes by crew sometimes just by fans inferring and speculating but I hope you guys enjoyed it and keep in mind even if we find a lot of old information and get it accurately sourced a lot of it may just not be valid to the actual show as it goes forward as some characters just may not be as relevant or may be entirely different let me know what videos you want me to make next and and I'll make them if you promise to do your homework see you next time
