Our World Factory Begins With A Bot Buddy ~ Foundry

what's happening everybody I'm G Master welcome to Foundry well back to Foundry we we did this about 2 years ago it was like 2022 so it's it's been a minute but this game is now out in Early Access we're going to jump into a new game backyard all right random map seed so you can see the seed if you actually want to follow along make sure to hit the like button leave comments interactions is literally the number one way that YouTube pushes stuff out and man is that uh helpful right now so there's a cool little intro I think when we played in the past there was like only a little bit of stuff I know I've been watching this and they've been adding a absolute ton of stuff to this since I play lastor I'm KL your facility management artificial intelligence this resource Rich moon has been selected for The Foundry initiative with the goal of converting it into a manufacturing Hub construction work has already started and many teams just like us have been deployed with their initial assignments our task task is to establish Mining and smelting operations to ensure a steady supply of essential Metals my goal is to assist you in setting up this Factory let's run a few basic checks before we get started open your map to check your surroundings okay fantastic there are several or patches in the vicinity equip your or scanner from the inventory and use it to locate The Ore patches uh my or scanner for my inventory mining drill or scanner okay I mean yeah to get started approach both of the or patches and mine some more all right all right so yeah this is this is an automation game uh on an alien world and everything going do some uh quite slight adjustments here not it effect down bring that down that down I want the I want him to be up higher okay and then I want to do one quick thing here vsync on all right okay hope that works it's a little bit screen tearing don't like screen tearing but yeah this is this is I really really love automation games I really like this when I played it in the past only reason I didn't do more because it was a beta it's the only reason I didn't do more I don't even think it did bad so yeah hopefully everybody enjoys this like I I I like I said love automation games all right well I got some here oh I only needed 100 all right well let's go over to the other one was the other one oh over here okay okay um this literally it I mean it looks like it scans all the way up the mountain yeah is the only two that doesn't seem great hopefully that'll be fine right go ahead and get a bunch of you or Rubble okay interesting I know we can also build like on or mind the things down below us now that we have an initial supply of I don't want we need to smelt it into plates and rods go back to your drop pod and use the buil-in smelters to create your first crafting materials okay I'll do that in just a second I want to clear off a little space here I get the rest of it but that's fine okay so you have stuff here oh there's a little thing back here okay insert insert oh okay this is new I don't remember this thing before all right well while you're smelting I can start clearing this area some I want I want to I'm going to want a place for a factory best thing to do is just to uh clear out all surrounding area plus I think we need biomass so I think I need to destroy trees yeah yeah we get biomass from these all right get rid of you there we go all of [Music] you I looked away for a second oh can't wait till we get drill upgrades make it so we drill faster that take that now that we have basic materials available we should start crafting building blocks which act as a foundation for other buildings to do so you need to open the crafting menu and click the desired items then place them in the shape of a platform next to one of the or patches oh I instantly made them up okay wasn't expecting that wait why is it why does it keep taking stuff out of my hot Bar's going on tab tab tab tab oh it's because tab does oh so used to tab opening inventory okay well I don't need to worry about any of those Forest seeds I guess we can plant things I don't think that was a thing in the past clear you out real fast okay so craft up building blocks 20 to 30 I need I need more oh okay you you you there we go got lots of building blocks that's a foundation next to an or deposit all right well there's the or deposit over there there's or deposit right here so I think my best place would be to put it like and to put it like right over top of [Music] here to automate or extraction we need to set up a drone Miner craft one and place it on top of your foundation right next to the or patch I go to there extend this as long as this whole thing is here we can get it all the way over to there and then we can have it all power the same thing okay craft a drone Miner I don't think I have the stuff for that not even close right we need more stuffs this that craft up a drone Miner all right while you're doing that I'm going to come over here and drill up more of this okay just randomly change the rest the Rubble off the top of here hey we got the Drone thing gosh okay I can please tell me you can change keys uh gameplay accessibility game play oh I don't like that they uh key bindings here we go good this is driving me crazy inventory is B so looking for B looking for B looking for B right there inventory tab tab tab tab place tab tab's already in use do you want to replace it yes cuz I don't care okay that's fine I don't need to change this right now I can sort that stuff later on so for now we'll just keep it like this I have you right here okay we can put this thing on top of here and then our drone miners can start getting that but we don't have Dr Miners and most other buildings require power to function let's build a biomass generator on the same Foundation as the Drone Miner once built you need to harvest some plants and trees with your mining drill to collect biomx inser the biomass into the generator and it will start to power all buildings on the same Foundation as the generator okay create one of these I mean I should probably create some more of these I would like to get over the other side all right so wait is it showing me crafting this thing like I don't see oh it's down here in the corner okay I don't see where this is put you here put you right there all right can I I think I can just yeah I have to put it on here we'll put it right there for now okay and then Boop go watch your mining drones acquire your first automated ore aren't they beautiful anyways we need to get going you an AI you know Beauty do these is this like sentient AI I don't exactly know how this works I know we are there is like a whole you can build robots and stuff here and everything like I they they've added so much to this from when I played in the beta I looked to see when I played last it was so long ago it's crazy all right and then you are getting me stuff here so we need to craft this small smelter all right craft smelter I need Machinery parts so I need more things here insert no take and insert this one take that one all right so craft a small smelter all right let's do this real quick while we're waiting because I'm going to need to get over to this one in order to actually do this just bring you to right there bring you to over [Music] here then just on top of that one oh that's as far as I can go really oh all right that's fine we're at least working our way there I don't have to worry about this oh my gosh I still have okay I still have six more biomass that's good so you're done I need to get more of that craft up oh I guess let's wait on the crate let's let's let's keep doing what wants us to do for now okay so here comes the fun part of how am I going to connect this up I need to all right let's just get the top of these so I can have the thing keep going you [Music] you it gives me a good amount so I can just throw this in the smelter there we go okay got everything we need in there throw this in here so we can have the stuff keep making us stuff up bam insert take what I can all right I need some more of these forgot that we actually need to extend this this needs to connect via conveyor belt and everything so we need some more of these things to extend it out some you have to hold the button down there we go okay that should be more than enough space let's put this right right [Music] here over two over two I think right there the smelter is more efficient than the inbuilt drop pod smelter so you should start using this from now on another benefit is that we can automate the smelters to make our life easier for this you need to connect the Drone Miner to a smelter by using loaders and conveyor belts okay please go ahead and connect them while I'm notifying Mission command on our progress I can't I can't do it yet now I can communication link establishment failure curiously I find myself unable to make contact with Mission command it could be a technical anomaly I shall persist in my attempts so we have one right here we have one right here okay and then I was wrong I actually need one more conveyor we go does it literally only make one no it makes two okay I thought it made more than one so then you go from here to here okay your own status so it's going into here right yeah yeah yeah all right so we're good there we go just like that we have this little connector this drops it off onto the conveyor goes through here immedately gets picked up and goes into here so it's nice connector super close we can just jump over it if we need be all right so we're all good there now I I need to craft 20 conveyors uh can I just click this like this there we go okay so that picks it up you're making more of these things that's good I need to come over here and I need to connect this thing up to this which means we need more more more belts or more more of these make three of those things but bring you over to here say probably here is good okay um I mean honestly going this direction would be better so I can get the conveyors connected up okay then all I need to do is I need uh stuff that I don't have it's fine it's fine easy fix so you're making me those this is done now I can make them here though craft up another drone oh no these ones that I'm going to need no I need the smelter I need these I need actually no berries I guess we're good all right this going be a problem I guess let's just get our smelter first we got enough plates but we need the other things actually maybe it's this I don't know what do machinery Parts take I have no no idea okay no they take the plates so it has to be these and this is all done I'm out oh no I'm screwed up all right oh I can make the smelter at least so I guess maybe we're good okay so go ahead and let's place this first we need the Drone thing here panel right there you go so you're all good enabled uh grid stats all right right now our grid is perfectly fine in that one one thing that's that's awesome and we can take the smelter we can put it right here no it needs to be over four okay so that's actually perfect and then as far as this one manage inventory I can just can't stick anything in there I have to take it out of here take this out and put this in all right so this is at least making me those things up so have it done in a second I mean I guess I can put the conveyors up that's not the conveyor this is the conveyor go we can put that right there so we have our connector just got to get the two bits for that part uh go ahead and take out what you can take out this put it in there all right there we go perfect so it's it it is working like I want okay then give me all that I can here I'mma put all that I can in there all right I already our smelters and our Smithy and our everything is just going great uh I need one more of these things still so still got to get a couple more of these once we have that then we are set put this on here so it starts conveying out right there go ahead and take what I [Music] can that enough yep there we go all right now we can have this thing automated too nice so these things are just going to be making us stuff up I believe that they actually hold quite a bit okay now we can change if we wanted to be output or input here right it's been two years since I played this game but I still remember how to play it things have changed yeah sure but I still remember how to play it and I love that that's that's great I mean it's similar to a lot of things satis Factory and everything like that I guess too that's why Factory what got like 200 hours in there we go okay so go ahead and give me these go grab what we can from here I can't wait till I can actually have a full floor thing because that's going to be nice not to have to fall in here uh I mean number five go I can at least just run over here oh flashlight wait night time uh L okay I mean honestly it's it's dark but it's not that dark okay so do I have enough I mean that's everything right we just need to craft conveyors that's all you want okay wait till I get it right there here we go we good I don't feel like I needed 20 conveyors but you have the machines necessary to connect the Drone Miner to the melter now attach a loader to each machine and connect them with conveyor belts after you are done you should build more smelters and have them produce enough metal plates and rods to fulfill our mission okay I mean I can see how to do that easily the mission control link remains nonresponsive our objective is near completion and immediate guidance from Mission command is required so this is I can demolish this thing and move it over kind I think I'm going to do that okay so yeah yeah yeah yeah do I have enough that I can make some more of these yeah make me have two more of those give me this real quick okay then we'll get the stuff out of here I see a better way to possibly do this if it wants me to have two things connected to it and that'll be fine then I just simply need to move this rinse and repeat this thing right here uh give me another smelter actually give me these things first okay then I have this so I think I just need to move it over one I even over there I think it's just literally this he let me take you out of here real quick bam uh it gave me the smelter back wait did it give me the smelter I don't actually know okay so still connected up still doing it making everything we need yeah and then I can literally rinse and repeat the same thing here so we can have a panel right here have a panel right here have the conveyors going down underneath this thing and then I just need one more smelter I don't have the parts for yet honestly I don't even think this is my problem I think my problem is it comes to the plates I think that's what I need more than anything make me up another smelter and I can do this over here too we go um um wa nope I lied extend it literally right there me take this thing give me this so panels right there that's fine still making it up we're good put another one right here this we have our conveyors already like so the connector like so I just need a connector here I'm kind of afraid of what the power is going to be like I don't feel like that's going to be super great but is fine I could add another thing if I need to okay unless I'll connect it up we'll be good I still have to connect that one right no I still have to make a smelter over there never mind more than just connecting it I have the connection set up just not the smelter oh wow okay we're actually getting so much but I could probably connect even more than just two of them up to one your own thing yeah this one's just constantly maxed out because I have this here so go ahead and give me this all right now I have two of these things producing me stuff awesome awesome you make those and then make this at the same time so I can do the smelter right here takes a minute to smelt up or cook up I guess there we go flip you around like so we have completed our initial mission of setting up a smelting facility we've done a great job haven't we okay at this point we should have received further instructions but something is blocking our Communications I think we'll have to improvise my archives contain a blueprint for a research server through material analysis I I should be able to provide an emergency Beacon blueprint let's get going and build a research server build a okay we need so we need a research server all right that's not a problem I want to finish this off though really yay there we go okay I can make a ton of them awesome but I'm kind of thinking as if I just take it from here and we just bring it all the way over yeah you know what I think that's better than the way I have it right now so let's just go ahead and take you and everything right here no wait how do you do the big one shift up there we go okay I got some building blocks back for it I take it from [Music] here it's still not too much but I can at least bring it over to this bar so this at least gives me a place to build the research thing on cuz if I remember right the research thing is not small pretty sure in the research thing it's pretty big you give me all that you can all that you can [Music] research wait a blind craft a research server bass burner drone Miner smelter science oh cuz it's its own thing all right now not a problem we'll do this and then I need the rods and then need machine parts which machine parts we're going to need an automator to create but we don't have that quite yet maybe have to do that in the research thing all right all good on this me everything right [Music] here yeah we have the research Farm up then I'm going to just make a crap ton of these all right so let's place this thing down here I believe it's pretty big I mean that's actually smaller for some reason I was thinking it was legit going to fill up this whole area this isn't that bad so I'm going to put the panel I'm going to put it right here to advance in research you will need to build science packs craft a few by hand and insert them into the research server to research the emergency Beacon blueprint man are you serious not going to give me the ability to start crafting stuff I guess we probably need the research to get the crafting thing that would make sense you and you and then let's just go here want three so I can make up three right now while I'm doing this part so first off I'm tired of jumping up here go then I'm going to connect you up to [Music] here nice okay good hoping I can get the whole thing connected all right that's fine um I think I don't even have to jump right yeah it auto climbs me up I don't know if there's a third person but we are a robot I don't have a body that I can see uh G okay so this is a research tree which the research tree as you can see is pretty big so that is awesome I always love a nice giant research tree to work through okay then I just kind of go Boop there you go research interface emergency Beacon start research placing emergency Beacon will be able to reestablish Communications with Mission Control okay and there's the assembler so then I'm going to need to craft up five more of them that's what you're telling me those me these I mean these things are perpetually making stuff so I don't have to worry about it 1 two three four five there you go go ahead and start making up five more CU we're going to need that as soon as we're good uh I also probably should get some more biomass all right I'm a little worried because I feel like this was a problem in the past we we're getting seeds so I assume we can grow it I just don't know how can I just zero oh yeah okay cool I had no idea that was a thing got it we now have the emergency Beacon blueprint craft it and place it but not too close to your existing machines those rescue parties tend to land right on top of the okay it looks like it has to be certain things in certain areas all right well I like that we can just regrow stuff that's cool okay so it's so careful not to put in on her stuff see I don't remember this emergency thing this thing's new to me uh I mean same with that thing I don't remember even the landing stuff craft an emergency doodle I need more plates Lam and Lam emergency Beacon blast resistant okay do I have to have it on top of my stuff no how far away do I want to put it like is it going to blow things up I'm so freaked out what do you mean blast resistant zero is it good press button great now you might want to take a step back and look up oh I didn't even see that before this is just a giant freaking space station oh God what just happened a real ground breaker wait literally this corporate command companion bureaucrat at bot c3bb for short will help us establish a connection with Mission command first Let's help him out of that drop pod by deconstructing and placing it in a safe location okay uh demolish okay I got c3bb Hub uh right here okay why do you say blast resistant what does this mean okay I'm assuming we got to put this on power right it would make sense I don't know I don't know anything about this this was not in when I played we did not have assembler [Music] you're right we need a machine that is able to craft common items I'm glad you have the blueprint stored let's go ahead and research the assembler yeah I was I was actually about to do that anyways before he even said this why I was going into this I like I should start the assembler and he tells me to do it so there we go do we know active research did I not just say oh I got to click Start research all right it's fine you just need those five I already have those five all right cool you guys are doing your things I'm going to make a bunch more platforms right I'm going to make a couple of these things up I'm going make have some conveyor still yeah so we're fine there me two more okay I'm making one smelter but you little dude you're in my way and you're pushing me around I don't like it okay how about you and you okay looks like it's going night time I could turn my light off or daytime I mean all right so I made a ton of these things up um let's do this first so we need four wides so that's right there and then I need two here boom like so I mean I might as well just fill this whole hole in we go right and then I could set this whole thing up set one here set one there I mean do I want to do two I don't think it would necessarily be bad boom and boom is over here too I'm afraid of a power though that is the one thing I am a little concerned about oh it's already strained I lied let's not do this not yet oh you know what I could leave this here still I guess it doesn't matter right okay here we go power grid status is still strained oh good lord all right well I apparently need to build another one of those things we need a bunch of biomass these big trees give me a ton I feel like they should they're huge 30 all right not bad okay they're not giving me seeds though that's the one downside okay so I got 102 I want enough for two things cuz I'm going to build it I have the second one to put down at 134 this should be fine also I researched that so now I can craft it yeah there we go let's let's build an assembler while we're doing this okay uh we'll put you right next to the other one oropo Boop there we go all right there you go and there you go okay so our power should be good I'd really like another smelter I think that'd be awesome there's room for it here and here screw it yeah uh I can build two more okay well yeah I'm just going to do it how's our grid status our grid status is perfectly fine right now with these two going we definitely need a better way of fuel I don't know if there's coal or what do they do here research assembler great the assembler will serve as the foundation for Mass producing the most commonly required items gone are the days of handcrafting c3bb has been able to establish a limited connection to the space station and will try to extract useful information meanwhile we should focus on scaling up okay so now I have the smelters yes that's fine I'm trying to think of like what we need the assembler down here I don't need the researcher I don't think I'm going have more of those don't think about what to place here like I could switch this but I don't have a button for it right now so I can't actually switch it it's fine uh do I I guess we just put the assembl well here just give me a ton of panels This is like one of my issues mainly then I have this one here too uh so one two three four five six give me a couple more conveyors have one of those things going that's fine a couple more conveyors give me a couple more floors all right there we go crafting up a bunch of stuff oh yeah what you have a thing what what's [Music] up right for more advanced research we need to increase our Material Science knowledge our goal should be to develop a more advanced science pack but don't underestimate the worth of the other blueprints early analysis indicates that mission control has already been gone for quite some time so I don't think we're in a rush okay uh research so what's our next research I want to work on we have character Improvement looks additional inventory slots that would not be a bad thing science pack two why' you click on that oh that was weird it moved me further down than I was expecting so we need basic infrastructure for anything I don't understand what what what did it just show me a second ago character Improvement where's character Improvement okay I don't sure whatever it's fine basic infrastructure so yes this is what I'm going to want we're going to get Logistics logistic container all right that seems super helpful start that research I don't have anything obviously going in here so we do need to start our production so I will put this right here and then we got the new stuff for over here I can expand this out like so so I can put two smelters right here one there and one there okay and then we have this from here [Music] there right and then you okay so I mean we should be good actually didn't even look to see what this one looks like how are you doing right now I mean I think it's mostly fine it looks like it's at 180 but I mean it's been going for a minute so I am missing a smelter over here though what do they stack to 200 all right so it's it's like most games you give me all this give me all that all right this is awesome because this is what I use the most of as these guys I do like a little bit more so I'm at least less likely to fall down there okay so you configure assembler so I need this thing to make me up Machinery parts and then we actually need a second assembler I guess I should probably graft that what what did I just do quick Target oh oh I think I can like copy Blueprints and stuff with that we need a second assembler so this one I need need this to exit out of here let's go like this that's all I need right I think pretty sure like so this thing produces here no that's the output that's the intake okay so we're making stuff here right and then I got to take this one I want to set it like this can't set it like this this is not going to work oh man this freaking giant space you have to give for each thing okay sh okay that's fine remove all that there we go oh man intake output uh I need to choose the thing that it's going to be which is going to be the research right there okay and then this thing just literally comes over to here and we're all good we can start doing our own research for us boom Oh the question is do I do I have enough of these only one short okay so you are intake you need to be output okay and we are making them now I mean it does take a good minute but we are having our research is being made up we have basic infrastructure being worked on our power you you I don't have enough oh my gosh we need power that's what I need so badly right give me all this we go all right uh I I don't I part of me wants to make another thing I forgot about the automator being it's just going to add more money or not more money more more power needed I'm like looking at the top left we have a compass up there oh I guess it's the block number we're on okay I was trying to figure out what the negative numbers were I got a lot of those in here cuz this takes so long I mean I guess potentially I could add a second one right these things produce so much this is only one of them connected up the other one is not connected up just making an insane amount of building blocks that's fine we got confs we got building blocks we got our tools up here let me put them down at the bottom for now right right least have some sort of organization and figureing out what I have going so I have this going to need another Miner for the moment I am going to fill in this however right here you go and I'm not going to use it anywhere else so I might as well use it here all right that's doing good this is taking a good long time we have one left good God yeah we need more fuel those two burners are not enough and I don't want to add another burner but I don't think I'm have a choice here okay so I have a ton of the rods it it I feel like that is every single game but it's always these you need a stupid amount of okay we have lodic container now research interface is there conveyor balcer container Decor lights bable element used for power generation research power generator as fuel source okay there we go so this is what I want more than anything then and give us a new Ora so we can start dealing with that okay Math Genius if it takes eight small smelters to fill up a conveyor belt then we'll build eight for each metal ore what huh what do you want me to do I'm so confused do I have like a journal or something F1 no I have no idea is it you you have something you want to tell me build 16 small smelters you're a crazy person oh wait what's the chat [Applause] with indeed I do wonder about the universe but let's focus on not getting lost in it shall we okay that was a whole thing I could pet him though I pet the ground who needs soil or dirt or anything of that nature want to stay down here with this um this one however I do want to expand [Music] over oh I can't fully because of that I mean I mean h ah I didn't want to have to do this but I do want a little place here it's going to give me some dirt that's fine like I need to have enough space that we can connect something to here so too wide there we go so we can get the thing off of here when we need it that's fine so then I can just bring this one up here up try to make everything on the same platform at this height that's that's basically my bunch of building blocks we have a bunch of fuel no really it's not that much fuel oh no oh no so nothing was happening tear down all the trees remove nature right I I don't even think I needed to I don't know if my mouse is freaking out or what is happening so we have ton of space over here yeah if I cover this up I guess what I could do is I could just do like three of them like this I don't got to do it somewhere we have to have it here and over there too all right whatever pick a bunch of these things up oh wait I also need a bunch of these then this is what I use the most I mean if I could get I have this thing going oh wait it's going to be the power though I need to not add more right now we already dealing with power until this research is done kind of can't do a whole lot is there some sort of like guess I could put conveyor ramps up but I don't know like I mean and I I can just walk up and it's fine it just it slightly bothers me this whole right here that's what I could do if I just do this but this like all the way from here over to there it doesn't I don't need that open this however I will and here okay and I won't need this one all right so yeah cuz if something comes off of here now I can do that and then I still have 49 more of these so let's just paath over all the plants we don't need plants we needs plants or robots robots don't need plants I mean I guess we do we need the bof fuel until we get the freaking whatever that other stuff is for fuel okay and then I'm also going to need I'm going to need a miner we have the smelters is this going to give us better power generation besides besides that can I even have like automated into this yeah see it doesn't look like there's any entry way into this though I don't know how this is going to work right 80% of the way done you know what can I craft some and just kind of boost this it's still making me up making me up all the connectors that I made well I mean I have lots of these things made now so there's that uh I made the smelters that are you not happy are you are you not okay with this cuz it's still making the thing that's fine that's fine I like the factorio style building while like this is crazy generators alone I mean the burners are going to run out soon the generators alone are producing obscene amounts so yeah yeah I'm not worried about it all right we got our system connected up everything is good um I'm going to have to leave it here for now because I'm already over an hour I'll probably have to cut out a tiny little bit where I was like digging the hole
