OUR NEW VAN!! - NULLARBOR with a NEWBORN - LIFE LATELY

[Music] welcome back to another week of the car rides we've been Nomads now since Wilder was just a couple months old the same age Aurora is now we've experienced some of the most amazing places our country has to offer and forged an unforgettable path across the vastness of what most Australians would have never imagined existed despite the memories made nothing will ever compare to 8 weeks ago that being the home birth of our fourth child whilst continuing to live on the road and our children present Aurora now belongs to the entirety of Australia no home address no house no idea that there is any other way of being as she grows her backyard will be dictated by the dust behind our wheels and a track her dad decides to turn down a life of Freedom the freedom of being lost the freedom to follow in the footsteps of her two brothers The Lost Boys And all under the watchful eyes of her beautiful big sister eie Aurora's birth is now the start of a new beginning the start of a life on the road with a beautiful new baby girl a new Caravan that set to shake an industry and a new adventure that would change the way people will tour Australia so welcome back to the cart RS and our new beginnings a [Music] [Music] life seemed to move slower as we look back on this time the boys were more relaxed and life seemed perfect little did we know these were the good old days the babies had me all to themselves and Evee was yet to have a sister to do over and AD door this is because we were yet to have one of the most intense month and a halfes of our recent lives breakfast time back then seemed chaotic but now looking back was so much more relaxing these days though things are more chaotic that goes with a brand new family member traveling the whole way across the country a new home on Wheels and the launch of two business ventures all within the same month bear with me whilst we get everyone up to speed so we have a new Caravan due to be completed and picked up in shepperton and we have our current van that we need to sell moving from one van to the next whilst trying to parent four children and not go completely insane it's a logistical and financial nightmare so we have both Caravans at the same time it moves stuff straight from one Van Into the other logistics of this are easier said than done however as it means you have to own two Caravans at once for a period of time then throw into the mix the coordination of selling your current Caravan and facilitating the Handover or popping it on a truck and sending it to another state there really is a lot involved and something we didn't wish to be doing again so this new van had to be our perfect van which leads us to the pickup of our new Caravan which was a doozy to coordinate our original plan after Aurora was born was for our mate back in Sydney to fly over to Perth jump on a bus and meet us down here in bulon pick up our truck and Wonderland Caravan drive them the whole way across the country to campbellfield in Victoria and drop the Wonderland to the Wonderland Factory as they're selling it for us take the truck to Sheeran where Rees and the cruiser van boys need to do some upgrades to the current systems in order for the truck and Caravan to work seamlessly together he would then pick up our new Caravan for us and drive it all the way back to us in esperence which is in the south of wa where we were then to continue our wa Coastline travels but since aora deciding to Grace us with her presence 2 weeks late and spending so much time stuck in the one location the prospect of us having to spend any more time in an Airbnb and in one spot just was not an option so we made the call to do the massive haul ourselves the entire way across the country and at just 3 days of age Aurora and the rest of us headed for the long journey across the albor to pick up our new home and Caravan of our dreams works out kind of well for us in the end anyway because this meant we'll be able to do a Shakedown trip with the Caravan before cruising back to wa to resume our travels a lot of hard work planning man hours brainstorming and the occasional blow up has gone into this new Caravan and we're excited to begin our next chapter of our lives in the most suited to us Caravan that we could ever imagine everything on this bad boy is built for purpose and we're so excited to move into our new home but more on this build process in another episode wants to do the null hey our trip across the albor was quick but memorable we crossed the whole thing from bulon to shepperton in just 7 Days the kids were absolute Troopers with their amount of travel to be honest I think they were just super happy to be back on the road again many people don't ever get the chance to cross an alore even once in their lifetime but our little Rosie she's already got one under her belt at just 3 days of age and she loved every second of it stopping at all the must along the iconic nullor we were never short of seeing chaos is Christ be very careful on the mullo Jesus that was loose you reck they were watching us really fast maybe maybe they were making sure she's stuck that straight oh yeah that's good the iconic old nullor Roadhouse will forever hold a place in our hearts it's the home of the first photo of all four kids together with stopped off here for avot grabbed a couple of stickers and we're on our way close your [Music] eyes Bund Cliffs absolutely took our Breath Away words will never truly reflect the enormity of both the Beauty and the harshness of its terrain my motherly instincts were spiking as I was God forbid imagining our little babies tumbling from The Cliffs this has got to be the most spectacular campsite we've ever witnessed however with our energetic little boys we decided it was not the best place to camp we pulled up for some lunch and arrest absorbing the breathtaking views and Ocean Breeze through our Caravan Windows maybe one day when the babies are older we can come back to the edge of the Earth and spend the night one thing we did learn from bunder Cliffs is that we are so incredibly small in this universe and although we are insignificant our experience of the world can still be so powerful the nullor is Iconic vast and beautiful and vast to ticket off our list was on the agenda from the day we left however to do it as a family of six and a newborn baby is something we will never forget it seems that our last 3 years memories are categorized by location and hardwired by the significance of the life we' chose to live we've got more core memories from the last 3 years than from the previous 10 when Jackson and I take a look back after we've grown old and fat and slow together these will be the days we remember Jackson often says to me one day I'm going to die a happy man a smile on my face and a hell of a story to tell on the other side but for now he has to deal with four kids that are adjusting to a 3-hour time difference and a caravan build on steroids right so we crossed another boy in like 6 days which for a newborn baby I think she was hell old bab 5 days old 3 days when we first took off she was 3 days old when we first left to cross from B to here so we missed a lot but cuz we're in such a hurry but we'll get it on the way back the sides were few and far in between so you drive for 8 hours you'd see something you'd pull up and then you drive for another 8 hours and then you'd see something we got it done and now we're here and we're happy so we're stoked we're going to go check this Caravan out I can't wait to bloody show you cuz it's going to be epic so epic all right guys see you where are we going uh on a holiday on a holiday on a holiday we are a holiday where are we going I don't care how do you boys both have bleeding noes to the Caravan that's where we're going are you excited yeah are you going to see a new bed yeah yeah can I go in there and have a look yeah just pick your nose we'll go and have a look at it and then can I got my bed in there you can lay in your new bed we're getting in the truck it's been quite an effort to get everyone in this morning it's just uh the joys of having four kids and trying to be mobile still we're going to have a look at this Caravan for the first time you're going to see us literally walk in on our brand new home it's not finished but you know a lot of time and effort's gone into it just want to clear a few things up first thing is we paid full price for it as usual we're not sponsored or affiliated with anyone we um we're a traveling family that's all we are that's all we'll ever will be I don't really want to get into the business side of making Caravan manufacturers millions of dollars Rees or cruiser van Reese is the owner of Cruiser van who we have purchased the Caravan through he's a smaller company he builds maximum of four Caravans a year he's a good family blog he's a small custom builder we would much rather as a channel as a family put our Channel behind a smaller company that we trust and we love and Reese is like I've been literally on the phone to Reese every day for the last four months 5 months whatever it's been we've been designing something that not only are we going to love but I think it's going to change a lot of things in the carav industry so we're so excited to go pick it up we're uh literally traveled the whole way across Australia to do it I don't know if you can hear the kids fighting in the car but I'm going to have to go sort them out and we uh been waiting a while for this uh for this moment so we're super ped can't wait to show is and I can't wait to see it it's uh today's a good day and it's a beautiful life and we're very lucky just ignore the ridiculous stupid smile that I have on my face the whole time it's harded it's on Bloody what's our car where's our Caravan yeah our new house is in inside you want to go see it in there there like any real estate for anything else how many whats 2230 what that's ridiculous hey whilst we waited for the van to be complete dad and eeve removed everything from the kitchen side of the truck so we could remove the old battery system and make way for the new battery system and electronic system upgrades that we going in tomorrow right long story short Bigoo this is coming what' you something for me so we're currently disconnecting the battery disconnecting the board and then disconnecting my child from the inside of the truck I know you want to start there getting away a little cobba and putting the new one in wish me luck I might have to lock my kid in the truck to get it done [Music] we're upgrading the hubs to Ali as well in order to save on weights and over 11 truck six is that not the best laundry basket in the world of wasted space book enough doesn't mean we can use it all didn't get our books we need to get our books out put them in the bookshelf oh my gosh there's so many things to do dad put the back there I'll put the lad back there but I'll just put it there so can we take a moment to talk about that hamper has someone kissed it there's a kiss mark on it someone's kissed it our family is so weird how does this work there was a kiss was that you no I haven't kissed that he having a shower open it youo so if they're parked off on the beach you can jump off here into the water that is not what it's for no it's not what it's for and get rid of all the pointless pillows sorry what was that in here why don't we just like put this bed up we'll move the baby and all the pointless pillows that you buy every Caravan that we ever get H we take though how good those pillows are do you like a new king bed love it he likes it mying in my bed or the catch is so much room for activ look you can lay down at well you can lay down on any couch lay down yeah put your blankie on go to sleep night I'm tring to yeah I hope you can have sleepovers yeah yes I've stucked all of this here for you so this is basically all the new stuff that we' bought for the Caravan so that's all going in we've effectively all we've done all day is make beds cuz we've just been so excited and kid beds I've made one bed so we've wasted a day just admiring our stuff [Music] anyway just pull the papers out Lots they're all dusty that's all right from being in the factory yeah that's all right we can put them in and I'll wash them tonight sorry e can wash them yeah don't act like you do the dishes over this side cuz I'm going to have Cutlery over that suction have to squeeze them together says thank you Kyla and then it says Chia Bella what's that off thank you Bella huh Chia Bella what's that off [Music] thank you and Wilder those ones please please no the ones that Wilder's [Music] got we have so much stuff to still go in look at all that stuff that's right we're almost there and this is just the new stuff we still have to get all the stuff out the old Caravan malfunction with these beds didn't make them self-making we have to make them this is a nightmare f it through the window here I've been thinking about those um zip-on bed quilts but I can't find anywhere with the right patterns on it that I wanted so I bought some of my own just single bed quilts but um they're massive so I might do some sewing somewhere along the line at a later date and sew them into my own zip-on ones but for now this is what we're dealing with look at this I'm going to have to tuck it all in action like we normally do action well this is going to make me happy I said to re do not give me those flimsy crappy tables that every Caravan has ever give me good [Music] tables now I can put stuff on my table like pointless things like this [Music] a pretty right hey action like you normally do action you have to go like that AC this it's going to yeah amazing shorty those chips oh my gosh and another it's another when it's not for you how she up out out here anyway soon as we start this is her little blankie that's cute that is so good and these are plastic so they don't smash this is such a good blankie for outside tonight just put it on the table that I designed who designed it I designed it is that I designed it no it's this is for the prco that we're going to drink tonight you know how you said what happened to soap bars why are you still touching our stuff she's she's oh kitchen room surface clean olive oil oh that looks really good that dressing hey look at these cutie little spoons for salad and that's the salad oh that is so cool thinking to get one of these baskets for under the bed overnight where we put like throw rugs and stuff in it Tyler I've successfully packed nothing into this Caravan today I've been babysitting all day can I please have a turn can I just say the inside you didn't listen to what I said did you yeah and I said yes okay can I just say that the inside is actually done except for our clothes and the food oh yeah and the rest of the Caravan y so nothing's out of the old Caravan yet no no I don't know no but it is cuz like all the bedding and all the plates and Cutlery that's all out yeah and popcorn's good can I please put something in the caravette yeah I really want to put in I just some of my stuff you want to get your clothes no I'll [Music] choose can I put this in where are you putting it will I see you through here you come across or what do it myself I'm putting one thing in the Caravan because had to be babysitter all day yeah stand [Music] here H we got free stickers as [Music] well my job's [Music] done we're so close I know it doesn't look like we're close we are it's 8:30 we've got to take the Wonderland back today we're currently cleaning it we take you guys Grace got a to gy it anyway so it'll come on we're going to clean that we're going to punch it down to Melbourne from where we are in Sheeran and then uh yeah back to moving into this thing so we're all about done with this Wonderland I'm just going to go to the outside now moving on to the next chapter sexiest thing on the planet this I can't wait to show you what it can do hey hey this will be the last time we ever hitch up the old Wonderland old Wonderland land it's not even old sad isn't it I think that's it that's it end of another Euro babe no it's the beginning of a new one after dropping the Wonderland Caravan to Melbourne we were back to pick up our new [Music] home and to head to the factory to say one last goodbye to Reese and the crews of antenen from here we're heading on our Shakedown trip to the Vic High Country little do we know it's going to really test us next week we have the Shakedown trip from absolute hell we managed to blow the truck up twice did you get
