[Music] do first crossing how are you you'll be right there's a guy with a camper trailer just went [Music] hmm there he is [Music] [Music] on our way to cape bedford with some pretty detailed instructions on how to get there up the hill oh this is another hill please don't know where they're going about 2k second gear second gear and no idea why they like the number two solutions easily the left in the house has told us it's hard all the way i'm gonna believe it that is actually an old land cruiser i believe that's what i was just saying it looks like an old 80 series everyone get portland road heading along here and gonna stay at chili beach tonight [Music] isn't it are we crossing it right behind me it's pretty slippery send the guinea pig first you reckon [Music] hello hello so we but my goodness it's beautiful and a nice cold beverage here we are at the start of the frenchman's track we've got michael and his family with us he's gonna take the lead everyone seems to agree he seems to be the most confident you ready baby a frenchman down frenchman's track level [Music] that's like uh that is a masterpiece [Music] decision has been made we are turning around i think just being one car with a winch is probably not the best side yeah so we're just unhooking the trailer so that we can turn the truck around so heading out from frenchman's track we're making our way to bramwell roadhouse and found an early right-hand term that had kind of cut some distance uh out of our trip there um ran into michael on the way who had a similar idea and yeah um gonna be interesting [Music] [Music] [Music] so we're leaving michael and his family they're turning around not convinced of this way but we're gonna push on and see how we go [Music] the shortcut dream continues we've probably cut our distance by at least half but maybe our time by double [Music] [Applause] if we're gonna see a croc i reckon this is the place for it i made toby bring his croc black and stick take some air out of the tires i read in the book that if a pool of water is big enough to hold a big saltwater crop assume that one's in there so there you go i'm on this side of the vehicle what the hell's the worst we're going to get the winter yeah i'm freaking out right now baby [Music] good job definitely need to go to the toilet okay so we've just come out of our shortcut start coming up and do this you'll break your winch like if you use a snap strap and you you start to pull back down it's just going to stretch it yeah and then it will come back nice and soft for you meter croc who makes his home along the beach so hopefully we see in a safe way all of the unpowered campsites are all along the beach we've just set up down there yeah i'm really happy to be [Music] here [Music] it's [Music] so [Music] i just spotted a little turtle [Music] might stay here a while i think [Music] [Music] until the next trip [Music] [Applause] [Music] got a copy todd [Music] so
