well hello everybody it's spectacular the silverstack Euler what you're looking at right here is a monster box this is what they typically ship like bullion coins in so like your Eagles big I mean it's it's huge and it's sturdy it's very hard plastic usually has like a strap that comes around it to keep it really secure this box is full of junk silver and you look at it won't even close right because it's so full so let's get into it a full box full monster box of junk silver [Music] now this video may be a bit long because it's going to talk about a lot of things junk silver related and I want to give you some good advice or at least advice that I have used you can take it as good advice or bad advice depending on how you feel at the moment but here we go here it's coming out Wow okay so the box is loaded and I started having to put things up on top because it's just crazy so I'm gonna I'm gonna Dori I'm gonna show you this stuff it's gonna come let's just try to get get some sense obviously kind of enjoy the visual first sometimes I'll be honest sometimes I get kind of lazy and you know maybe I I don't have any like dime tubes I have to go buy more and so let's take I like a little bag you like this of like dimes it won't fit into the tubes that are available and I'll just put it on top that's just you know how I'm doing things but here it is now I'm weird I like to sort my junk silver by type sometimes by dates so this is it this is crazy right look at this thing it is loaded loaded loaded loaded full of junk silver constitutional silver ninety percent whatever you really want to call it this is it this is it right here and stay tuned because I'm gonna tell you so much tart I'm gonna go through all this stuff I'm gonna talk about this stuff a little bit and then I'm gonna show you more that's not even in this box so whoa alright let me catch my breath so let's see sometimes maybe I forget like what's even in here - there's been so long since I looked at it but I you know I just keep on adding to it anyways stop talking spectacular let's go right into it here's some barbers and I have some barbers and a tube in here somewhere probably here but the tuna tube tomb it's become a tomb almost the tube is just just pushed out so far those are not barbers of course I'm going through the camera look at this it might be over here let's see you know I just buy here here they are so I can't really fit any more into this tube so I've no I just have some excess but I really don't have enough barbers to start up a new tube so you know what am I gonna do I just put it on top that's how I work it so now you see you seen the barbers what I try to look for in these are when I'm buying barber dimes are ones that are not so it's hard because they're they're old they're gonna be worn down they're gonna be kind of like slick for sure but I want ones that are not totally slicked down to the point where things like the United States of America are worn off I definitely want a readable date I don't want the mint mark to be scratched up a lot of times you look at these and there's like scratches all in them I don't know what happened to you know the barber dimes around that era but there's a lot of scratches typically that comes on the barber dimes I don't want things that are all scratched up to where I can't read things or where it now becomes a coal coin I mean these are very slick these none of these right here gonna be completely beautiful or anything like that but they shouldn't be scratched up to where you can't enjoy a lot of the beauty on the coin so that's typically what I go for and then of course with all my junk silver I will look at the dates and I'll kind of see if there's any kind of better dates or you know anything rare out of the coin you know as I get them because sometimes you go to these shops man and and they just throw stuff in there they don't know what they have they don't care to look and you can get some real winners out of the junk silver it's happened to me many times where I get like better dates or proof coins that they don't know they're proof especially with like I have a few proof coins right here not in here but a few proof Benjamin Franklin half dollars that they were just in a big pile and these are not them but I have them elsewhere so I just kind of he's gonna look out for all the different court types of things so anyways there's the Barbour dimes this may be a long video like I said I apologize I really really do apologize let's get these out of the way real quick mmm so these are the 35% war nickels let me show you some of those so 35 percent silver in these right here not a big fan I'm not a big fan of the war nickels I don't believe that you really need to be stacking these I had got enough I think a roll and then a few odds and ends here and there when I was coin roll hunting so here here they are I basically wanted a roll just to say that I had them and nothing really beyond that but boom I had them I don't need to go too much further than this if I find more coin roll hunting or in my loose change so be it but I'm not really trying to collect these things so the biggest thing you're looking for with the war nickel is just the easiest way to look for them is to look right up here on top see that gigantic P so Philadelphia mint mark right there it's huge compared to mini mint marks out there for other coins it's big P and there would be a D right there if it's Denver so that's what you're looking for and this one right here is 1943 and that's just the easiest way just add a nickel bomb take a quick glance right there at that spot if you see the mint mark there you know you have a war nickel so a wartime nickel whatever they whatever you want to call them they needed nickel for wartime efforts so they had to take the nickel out of the nickel and put silver in there and replace so to replace it with silver you get the wartime nickels anyways yeah I guess that I don't really see the point in going this low into the percentage not really for me personally you know 90% people argue well it's not you know it's not 999 so I'm not collecting constitutional but it's pretty darn close to 100% being 90% whereas when you go 35% you're talking such a small piece of that is actually silver realistically anyways that's my rant on that we can talk about melting later I've talked about it before let's get back into some more things let's go through the bags first let's do that okay so boom these should be my 40% errs and again coin roll hunting efforts things like that I'll get some of these I have like if I was missing a date I would buy it for you know because they're so cheap these 40% and again I really don't think that 40% is is the way to go if you're gonna stack constitutional silver to me it's not that big of a deal but with the 40% of course you have 1965 to 1970 or you're 40% or so 1965 to 1970 just be on the lookout for those if your coin roll hunting or you know whatever I mean hold them to the side don't they're not worthless but you definitely don't get a big premium at and then when you go to sell and many times shop owners will sell them below spot because nobody wants them nobody really cares for these things it's one of those things hey this guy jumps off a bridge you know with you at two but in the stacking world you might want to jump off that bridge after somebody because follow the trends in a stacking world people have been doing this stuff for a long time and there's reasons why they don't stack these and there's good reasons it's because you know they're so low and percentage and it's just not worthwhile when there's 90 percent out there for nearly you know as cheap and you get more bang for your buck it's just to me it's it's better just to go ahead and stick with a 90 percent over the 35 percent or the 40 percent again end of that rant let's see a couple little so these are probably I try to keep the the teens in the 20s of The Walking Liberty is separated and I probably didn't have any tubes for these I might put these to the side cuz these tubes might actually it might actually be a spot for him so yeah 1920 1917 and another 20 right there so I just that's just how I do you know I I guess I could put them all together they're not really worth more per se and especially with the teens and the 20s typically they're very worn down these right here I mean you can't you want to try to feel it you can't feel this they're very slick so I'll put those to the side here's some Franklin's but I just hadn't put away yet so I will be putting those away while we're talking if there is room in these tubes but most likely there's not room is why I ended up putting those to the side these should be Mercury dimes I believe so let's see yep so that's a whole roll of mercs and another little thing about me is this is not exactly five dollars worth of Dimes there's probably actually some more than five dollars on that you can see that it's barely able to close that's because there's more than five dollars worth in there and it's just me dealing with a lack of space I just put more in them so that's that's me that's me in nutshell this should be this should be Mercury's as well let's see let's see if I'm right take a peek come on you know good open you can do it you can do it yes it is so with Mercury's kind of like the Barbour dimes as long as they're not scratched up or you know to the point where I can't read the date or see the net mark I'll collect them you know especially when they're close to close to spot when their regular junk prices I will collect them no problem big fan favorite are the Mercury dimes people will pay a little bit of a premium for them so a lot of people like those and sometimes you get a definitely a bigger premium out of like the barbers too so really nice the seated liberties the dimes sometimes those are also in like piles of constitutional silver we can pick through but a lot of times the seated Liberty especially in like decent condition they don't have scratches through them or not worn down to to you know almost nothing you're talking about a more of a numismatic value there than just precious metals content so definitely if you can find those for junk silver prices pick those up as you see them I'm talking about the seated Liberty because you will get a little bit more bang for your buck if you can get those you're not gonna find a very often though some random Mercury dimes I believe here yes some all packaged like that should just do a giveaway and just give those away it shouldn't maybe in the future maybe for the next milestone those will be gone and these are walking liberty these might be some slightly better conditioned ones let me stay with the Walking Liberty since that's my favorite coin spoiler alert favorite coin Walking Liberty half dollar I tend to just buy them I buy them as long as like I said they're not too bad conditioned and that goes with all the junk let's just go ahead and get that out of the way now all junk silver as long as the conditions not it's not scratches I don't want scratches I don't want scratches and I don't want to not be able to see the date I got to see that date in the met mark too so it can't be worn down to two nothing these yeah I mean it's slightly better condition this one has a little little dent right there a little ding but you can see here you can start seeing a lot more of the lines the right here the breast right here is actually not so bad and a lot of times with the Walking Liberty half dollars is when you look at it it almost looks like like Liberty has a third leg like you'll see like this little line right here where the dress is out in front it seems almost like there's a leg there a leg in the middle and right here on the right hand side so her real are only two legs are right here of course but it almost seems like there's three when it gets so worn out I'll show that I'll try to show that off and you might see I'm talking about but these are a little bit better condition the stars a little bit more pronounced a little olive branch looks a lot better yeah for sure we should probably cat the back too so this one's a not-so-great the Eagles breast feathers are kind of gone those are the high points of the coin so here you can start to see how it's almost like like a third leg I guess it's like a leg coming out over here it seems like in the front and then down and then there it starts to get really hard to see what's going on the coin and we can look at this one so you can see what you're missing out on with those high points so anyways these probably need to go into my bag there's slightly some of a couple of them were slightly better condition but they probably go into my bag and I'll show you the bag here in a little bit for those who are not familiar with the bag let's keep going through this thing it's gonna be a long video my goodness that's why I probably was hesitant to show everybody this I'm just gonna pick them out of RAM I don't know what's in these ones because they're kind of hard to see so these are all Washington quarters and yep all Washington quarters now I try to separate the Washington's a little bit there are a few keys to the Washington's that I try to like look out for 1932 D is one of the ones I definitely and you can find them I tell you what you can definitely find them cuz a lot of shops they just they think okay Washington Quarter there's no good dates there I'm just gonna throw them into some piles and you can definitely find those things boom war Washington's Washington quarters are not really my favorite types of junk silver to collect and I'll tell you why one of the biggest reasons for me is because I still see Washington quarters today of course you know the backs usually have like all the different you know states and stuff on them but you know it's it's a it's a common look so for me it's just it's not that I appealing there's nothing wrong with them typically there'll be a little bit less worn out than like let's say you're standing liberties for sure so there's more silver to be had here with the Washington quarters so I mean it's still a good one don't get me wrong it's me hating on it just because it doesn't appeal to my eye but I got plenty of them as you can see so let's say I got boom and again these are not like a certain dollar amount in there I just stack them like crazy as they fit just just for just to keep my my room because I'm starting to run low on room here I probably need to get another monster box for the constitutional in fact I know I do so again more Washington quarters let's try to get all those out of the way here's more Washington quarters these may be some of these are too let's see get open you know those are Standing Liberty quarters so these are all these will all have the date on them for sure let's see as an example 1929 yep so these will all have the date and these should all be 1925 to 1930 pre 1925 it was very difficult to see the date so here's a 25 for example yeah so 24 all the way down to 1916 the date was just it was actually raised so I want to give you a good example of how I can show this to you right here so I'm actually on the 1925 I'm going to show you so we're Liberty and this is hard to tell because she's so worn down but where Liberty is standing right here where the data is 1925 on the 1924 down to the 1916 this was actually raised up so she was standing on this on this little pedestal here where is kind of raised and the date was then printed on top of that raised so the date was one of the high parts of the coin so typically the high parts are the first ones to get worn down so that's why all the dates were worn down in those coins it's very hard to find a 1916 to 1920 for where you can actually read the date because of that that fact that it was just so worn down I have a 1917 there you can actually see the date and I just dropped some coins there that's okay but for me Walking Liberty I'm sorry Standing Liberty quarters as long as I can see the date I'm buying them I'm buying them quick that's that's probably my second favorite coin I love the Standing Liberty quarters love them love them love them and they demand a premium too so right here I may have some dateless and when I was first starting to get into the constitutional pretty big I was buying everything I was I was gung ho and this is one of my big regrets right here of silver stacking is buying the Standing Liberty quarters without the dates cuz for me now looking back I just don't agree with it first of all there's a lot of silver loss in these coins right here and second of all to me like a coins not a coin especially constitutional if you don't have the date so it makes no sense to me one of my biggest regrets and that's that's my level of regret right there that's how many I ended up you know getting and actually I got a few more but I made some use out of them I put them in like bezels and put them on keychains and then send them out as gifts or you know things like that it was I made some use of what I thought was a bad thing so that way you know they're already worn down give them as a gift and let people that you know want silver that's just any old silver enjoy them I mean it is still silver don't get me wrong I'm hating on silver when I say that but I'd much rather have a dated coin much much much let's keep going let's keep going we got some of these Barbour quarters hard to find really really hard to find the Barbour quarters I don't know why I met a guy a few years back at a pawn shop and he had tons of Barbour coinage and I'm like hey you know like how much do you charge for the barbers in comparison to other coins and he said oh it's the same price he's joke he just tell me what you wanted you want the barbers you want the what I'm like give me the barbers and I took just about just about everyone I could afford at the time and then the pawnshop ended up going out of business and I was like man I wish I could have bought more of those so here's a here's a nice example right here so a barber quarter so 1902 pretty huh not really that really has a manly chin right there somebody has a little bit of a manly chin but not that pretty of a coin realistically right I mean it's got the Liberty kind of looks weird on it and it's so hard I can't really show off too well what she looks like when she's not worn down but believe me she doesn't get much more prettier than this right here even when it's you know not worn down the back is kind of neat for sure the eagle is always cool and it's very busy which I like but yeah with these though because it is it's getting it to be an older coin for sure I just buy them as long as they're not scratched up as long as I can see the date you know as long as you're not too terrible I just buy these as much as I can and actually speaking of which I recently got two more so here they were right here and I found these in a junk pile I believe I forget where I got these actually but anyways I got them so these can actually fit into that tube so I will put them in the tube so they are what are these two a 1916 Denver and a 1899 no Matt mark very old very very old to Barbara Cornish so those will go in to the tube again so there there's a whole tube full tube of the Barbara's so fun fun fun fun what did this look at that even a very many well just going on here why did I put those in there let's see 1963 these might be slightly better condition sometimes I will do that let's say 1958 1954 1964 1954 1946 I really really probably should have used gloves I live I know it's constitutional silver it's been touched it's been handle assert it was circulated but I love using gloves for things I'm not gonna do it for this video just because if I started using gloves it's gonna really slow down the video and I kind of wanted to do this too to show everybody you know have a little fun with people show them my my fun stack of constitutional and how I do things so these are yeah these are just like slightly older a little bit better condition right there with those quarters let's see nothing too special though and these are Mercury dimes so these should be the 30s in the 40s and I'll look at another one just to make sure that I'm not telling everybody a little tale here yep 1942 so bomb bomb bomb and with the Mercury dimes of course you're really looking at the back of it to see the you know of course if you know the e the front you got to worry about condition too with the back of that's where the condition is really easy to tell on those things how come I can't close this what's what's going on here whatever but yeah the back and it's hard to see on this but there will be lines that will go down this let's try to take that off and try to zoom in on it but you can see the lines that go up and down it right through there so the vertical lines and there's two diagonal bands that will go Boop and Boop diagonal down it right there the diagonal bands are the higher point right there and there you can't hardly see him cuz they are worn down but you start seeing all these bands on there on the reverse and you can quickly tell at a glance that hey that's not worn down very much now you know like the 30s in the 40s typically don't demand a premium for the non worn down ones I mean a little bit you can still find plenty of there aren't worn down but as you can see you can find plenty more that are but if you can find the ones that aren't worn down definitely grab those definitely definitely they're fun and again fan favorite Mercury dimes a lot of people love these things right here you can get a premium even the worn down ones demand a little bit of a premium because people it's a fan favorite fan favorite and you can see there's one of my favorites too plenty of mercs lots of mercs boom boom boom lots lots lots now it's funny because when I go hunting for junk silver I find everything to me is like the same price I don't mess around with the shops when they go oh you know like we charged you know let's just use a number let's just say $12 for one dollar face for the Benjamins we do $13 for the walk and live I just I leave those places alone I'm not messing around with you you know if you're gonna start adjusting all your prices that way I want to go into a shop that has a gigantic pile of these things just all mixed up and they go like hey 12 times faced no matter what you get that's the kind of places I like to shop for and I would recommend that's where you go to don't go to places that have already sorted the coins because that means they've already looked the room anyways a little advice there some Roosevelt dimes look how pretty so these ones right here cool because Roosevelt dies now you can get the prettiest condition on those ever I mean they just you know they're not worn down very much much newer coin so fantastic fantastic I love this I love this pre 60 faux actually pre 65 10 technically 1964 and before so pre 65 let's keep going what do we got here more dated Standing Liberty quarters so they should all have dates I'd be so mad if they didn't like I already talked about before kind of a pretty 1927 it's got a big hole right in the crotch make sure you probably had Marilyn okay let's keep going let's not talk about that that's a story for a different era not mine more Mercury dimes so three more tubes of those it gets common dates this actually your item here might be a teens note that's common date 30s and 40s I don't know how many girls stuff back in there I don't know how sometimes I take them all out and I go through and then I'm like oh man I gotta put them all back now so here you go here's an example of ones like to keep separate or the Mercury dimes and the teens and the 20s oh no 36 maybe I just hadn't got to it yet let me see 36 all right I lied to you all I'm sorry this is not that - this is just a tube that I haven't got around to completely filling yet but I can leave this to the side because I have a bag over here that I haven't sorted yet so I can start doing that I'm so so sorry this is a long video I'm so so sorry so sorry I'm sure people watched about the first minute and a half of this and then they're already like okay I've seen enough more 30 to 40 s this is a bunch isn't it this is a bunch for people to love constitutional silver they're probably like hooked right now that like oh wow I love that stuff I wish you would pour every single one out and go through every single one I'm not doing that no way Jose what's funny is every single one of these coins have touched me I've picked out I've hand selected each one of these coins myself which is that's what I love to do I love that part of treasure hunting man just looking through here's some more Roosevelt's now you know I've mentioned before that I think that Roosevelt is the alternate junk silver constitutional silver 90% silver pre 65 I think it's the ultimate of those to collect because of its size because of its you know automatic how it's automatically fractional it's it's a it can be lightweight compared to a bunch of like you know one ounce bars it's you know it's its history everything but like I said before where I get all my coinage all my junk silver all my constitutional 90% whatever you want to call it I get it all for the same price so I will typically go with history a little bit more so like for example if I'm having a choice between Mercury dimes and Roosevelt dimes and I'm getting them at the same price I'm gonna go with the ones that have more historical value slightly because it demands a little bit more of a premium so now there's less wear on these typically and like from some places you can get it for cheaper like if you're buying them in a roll of Roosevelt dimes you know boom most likely these are going to be cheaper than mercury dimes in a roll but the way I buy like I said before was gigantic piles of everything all mixed together so when I'm hand selecting I'm hand selecting history over these kind of coins most of the time now if I find a really nice Roosevelt dime or really nice Washington quarter or something that's just in you know pristine shape a nice 1964 Kennedy half-dollar I'm picking those out for sure and putting them to the side that's my rant and I just hit the camera I'm sorry everybody all right and more Standing Liberty quarters all with dates and I want to prove it I want people to go like oh yeah he just he puts one on the very top and the rest of em are clad they're all dated walking or standing liberty quarters I don't mess around I build mess around you know put those there these ones right here we're uh more Roosevelt dimes okay look at the condition you can instantly tell that the condition is just better on Roosevelt dimes cuz it's a newer coin it is newer coin it wasn't handle as much less we're but again the history is just not there so that's a big complaint illogical have bone more Standing Liberty quarters thank you for being you standing the recorders I do appreciate you I do and like again you know talking about history if I see a Standing Liberty quarter sitting there and I see a Washington quarter I go for the Standing Liberty every time as long as it's you know readable every time okay where should we go next who wants to you want to pick that one okay sure sure we're gonna pick that one you should all be half dollars okay so we got Barbour half dollars and there we go Barbour half dollars dinked up right here but you can read the date if okay there is a mint mark you can see it plain as day so this is New Orleans so I will pick up Barbour half dollars got a lot of history valuing these things very slick though usually look houses like this one is hard to get them though hard to find these in junk piles anymore for me where you are your mileage may vary I've never said that before I've never ever said those words before your mileage may vary but now here it is let's see what else we got okay so you go Franklin halfs pretty huh big fan favor for a lot of people to is the Franklin halves they love these things conditions a little bit better within the walking liberties honor typically just because they're a newer coin again it was cool too it's cool to see like you know the non presidents on there it's it's fun it is fun do do I don't have to really open this do I do I need to open it no but it's more Franklin halfs so very cool again look at the condition in comparison you can you can still see the luster on it hold on you open it up I let me open it look at the luster now I'm showing off the luster I mean looking to see the cartwheel the coin has been like kind of like junked up it's got some some stuff on it but it's still nice it's still really nice which means if it's nice like that means it had a lot of silver in it still so these should be 1964's this is a whole thing in 1964 Kennedy's very cool more Franklin's 1958 on that one yep so on the Franklin's of course you're looking for the full bail lines to get the big money's but if you're just looking for junk silver then you know grab what you grab but of course the let's show you one that's probably not going to have any bail lines on it but I will try to show you what you're looking for typically is at the very bottom of the bail in particular there should be bail lines that go all the way through you can see this one's all dinged up it's got scratches on it but there will be some nice thick bail lines it was hard to get that strike into the coin all those bail lines so the ones with full bail lines typically go for a little bit more so that's that and you'll find in several books that it mentions FBL which means full bail lines and those are more sought-after and instantly usually more expensive so here's some more franklin's what do we got here more look how pretty see look at the condition of the Kennedy 1964 typically when you're looking for junk silver if you see a Kennedy that's 1964 they're gonna be like that they're gonna be so pretty and be careful too because a lot of shops that I've seen they'll have their forty percent are stuck in there with your 90 percent or so you'll have Kennedy's that are just sitting there and you assume that their ninety percent because they're in the the junk pile but they may be the forty percent so be very careful make sure you're looking at the dates when you see the Kennedy you want that in 1964 only if you're taking my advice more more Franklin's there we go alright what's in here mystery right we can't even see in there more Franklin's we're getting through it we're getting through the monster box I think is heavy too this monster box alright so these should be lowered eight walking liberties so yeah should be teens and twenties so twenty eighteen twenty eight makes the cut very good yeah these are all tens and twenties so nineteen getting getting really early they're eighteen I like them I like them when they're early like that sometimes they can demand a little bit of a premium for those earlier dates so that is why I do separate them they're gonna be more worn out typically though but I like I like the earlier dates a little bit more history for me and let's see you find a lot of twenties usually so here's a seventeen that's a couple more 17 and 17 now here's the question for you is keeping them in these tubes right straight up okay so we're talking about vertical do they cause wear to the ones that are lower I would say absolutely I mean it's it's it's it's gonna happen you're talking about putting weight on it there's not a lot of way to avoid that except for maybe if I put them this way there's gonna be where some way or another for sure no way to avoid it and actually I talked to a guy who grades coins and he said that that is a very typical thing that they see on coins is stacking wear is when coins were just stacked and not even by us but by the men when they come in like the you know the rolls and and things like that when they're too stacked on top of each other but there's where that occurs so yes so it does happen it does happen on the camera though should be more 10s and 20s so just teens and twenties here's an 18 nice very cool like it I like like like all right and last tube that's in there is more teens in twice 1928 19 18 and 23 very cool so that's that and I have a hard time just drop I dropped these right here some mercs I have a hard time when I find the the junk like this that like they'll be like in like these big cases when I find I'm like this is there you know label during these little flips and they'll have a price tag says like $10 and of course I never pay that price tag I always get them for the jump prices and I'm like hey I mean I know you have on there a you 50 and whatever abalone you hit the price tag I say but it's a common common junk silver coin I say you know will you sell these two at the junk silver prices like 99 percent of the time they go like yeah we can throw those in at the same price you're paying for every other stuff too so those prices are you know ignore those it's actually probably closer to five dollars 50 cents if I ended up paying for those so that's a big decrease in that ten dollars isn't it but on the same note is there already in these flips I can't bring myself to take them out I mean if it's the wrong kind of plastic here that's you know the the not the rigid stuff that really flimsy stuff that can cause some some issues to your coin then I will go ahead and take them out save them from that but this is just fine this is no big deal I'll keep them keep them in there for for all eternity so here the 1927 Standing Liberty it does make it a little bit more difficult to stack though when I do that so here's what it is though yeah again 1936 D 90% and I paid the same you know because at the time when I was buying junk silver when I was really getting into it I was $11 per dollar face and it's funny because this only come up maybe a dollar a dollar fifty per per face now it's it's about twelve to twelve $50 per per one dollar face but in my mind because I paid these prices before I have a hard time justifying going back and diving into more junk silver I'm trying to wait for these prices to come down I hope they do it's funny because you know everybody's always looking at they're all excited because oh you know silver silver rose $1.00 silver this is coming up $2 now I want that silver to drop I wanted to drop so I can steal a lot more of this stuff not steal I pay for it come on everybody here's a nice one here's a good example of a of a Mercury dime that has those bands on the back so you can see all the vertical bands and you can see the diagonal bands right there plain as day very very pretty this coin in the front you can see the difference there on the front let me get some ones that are worn out so you can see exactly what you're missing out on and get one right here hold on so you see the difference there you see a lot more right there and Liberty's little little wing feathers the head feathers I don't you want to call him winged cap you see a lot more so very cool very nice when you see him in that condition and again I think I have a price tag of like ten dollars on there and I didn't pay that I actually paid I probably paid maybe three dollars for this coin and probably even less because I did it in a trade for some others like stuff it was like around the house so yeah cool right cool I took some stuff from my childhood you know like I was I was a weird kid I always kept things in boxes and I never played with a lot of things and I ended up you know holding on to it through you know all through the years that I was you know at my mother's house and then when I ended up getting married and I started living my wife I you know brought all this stuff in totes and went like hey we need some closet space I just kept stuff I just never got rid of it and she was cold that she never like bugged me saying like hey you're taking up all the closet she just was you know very supportive so yeah all that stuff ended up getting sold like later in life because you know I don't need it I don't need it anymore I have a new hobby and I don't need a little like Ninja Turtle toys and stuff I would like to have them though now I'd like to play some Ninja Turtles you know like leonardo Donatello Michelangelo Raphael anyways um love tokens right this is something you could definitely be finding if you are looking through like junk piles this stuff is out there I found my first love token looking through junk piles so what is it it's just a usually a I'd say like 90% of the time if not more you're gonna find them right here on the seeded Liberty dimes and then they just end up kind of like planing off the back and they chisel out very finely their loved-ones initials in the back sometimes little designs here and there and that was just a symbol of love back in that day and that's what they gave to their their loved ones you know said hey look what I did for you and they were you know at the time they probably thought it was great you know they don't have like a lot of you know Netflix and stuff to watch so that was probably a big deal for them to get something like this that was you know handcrafted and showed the person's talent so yeah they couldn't get the subscription to Netflix unfortunately back in that day who would not be cool though if they hit the head Netflix well they'd be watching huh kind of shows would be on for them with Netflix what kind of series it's not to think about here's another Loeb token now these were these are not fines that I actually got from from silver bins or junk pens I have one one love token that I ever found in a pile and that's over there somewhere you've seen that coin many times that was legit found that was picked out found by me these ones right here I ended up buying after the fact on eBay as love tokens so they already knew what they had I think I got him as a lot but kind of cool here's one that actually has a little hole in it so they probably put it as a necklace a little pendant so some really neat artwork on these things though in there really really cool I love these I started really getting into him after I got that first one I got yours back here's what I never really couldn't understand what this was and no matter how I put the light I mean it's not gonna help us to to really understand what this is but it's got the hole in there and I don't know it's like it's some kind of like a planter or something maybe a flower yeah it's supposed to be a flower I don't know it's really hard to tell and the toning doesn't help that dark Tony but of course I'm not gonna clean it I am NOT a cleaner of coins get the wrong person hey let's talk about that for a second don't clean your coin winters no reason to you're wiping away history there's no reason to clean them it doesn't do any good for you whatsoever to clean them from that toeing you know it's not it's not poop on there it's not some kind of disgusting disease it's on your coin when it stone like that it's just history silver tones let it tone you know let it be don't hurt it you're not you're not doing anything for the next person you're reducing the amount of people who's gonna buy your coins when you when you clean them so that's that rant no point cleaning your coins it's a waste of your time and potentially it will lower your buyers that you will have looking at your coins later in life or later in somebody else's life don't do it no point no no point ah so you have some random ones here look at this now this right here the head this this is one of those capped busts dimes I tell you what man I could not stop myself from getting this I know I broke my rule with it being you know I can't see the date on this thing but when I seen this in a junk pile I was like you know what I'm just gonna buy it and you make it that way too you might find one of these these older older older coins you know and you might just be like you know what I'm gonna grab it and for a dollar what dollar ten or something like that a dollar 11 whatever the case may be I was able to get one of these okay you know what a great deal for me I think is actually deca dollar 10 at the time so for a buck I was able to get this and you just wonder right you just wonder where that coin has been why is it so worn down why you know how many pockets was this thing in where did this go you know what what cities what what states you know where where where where B I'd be interested to know for sure here's one that I found for a dollar ten in a junk pile and this is again this is the seeded Liberty dime so you know it's worn down pretty good but a lot of history here hard to get these right here and junk pile is just hard to find them people have already picked those or you know they don't even put them in those piles a they already see them as more numismatic coins so they're they get rid of them and hold them for themselves here we go more these more of these and oh here we go so this is actually a coin that I bought at a coin shop because I really really wanted at rhyme which is a three cent piece three cent silver piece and I just wanted to have one I couldn't get my hands on one and the guy I think he charged me like five dollars or something ridiculously low for it it is scratched up you can see here the scratches down through it but I really just want to want to say I had one and this this did the trick I've since gotten several of these tribes so cool right smallest silver coin right here from the US is these tribes smallest US silver coin very cool 18:53 if you're lucky enough to find one of these in a junk pile man good for you really good for you there was also a three cent nickel that was out too so it's you know made out of nickel rather than you know the silver so I'm a little different though definitely a lot different you don't want me to be honest very unique coin isn't it to have a star on the obverse and then this three and kind of this see around it on the reverse very interesting look almost like not even like a u.s. coin I mean if you glanced at that real quick you would think was a foreign coin just the way it looks anyways so that actually gets through the monster box right Wow huge huge amount of silver in that box but I do have some more that I got to put in there right here and I also have this let's look at this real quick now most people know what's in this that you know have followed me for any amount of time but some people don't I'm gonna pour it all out just for fun to show you what's not able to fit into that box because I am a crazy boy now it is my favorite coin Oh The Walking Liberty half dollar I absolutely love it this is stuck right here I need to get a new bag this bag is starting to fall apart but yeah this is a whole bag of Walking Liberty halves these are the 30s in the 40s so for me you know I take out the tens in the 20s and keeping them and these little tubes right here but the thirties and the forties typically stay in that bag and that's all them right there just hanging out with me I love him in that bag and like I said before man these were all hand selected I've gone through to many different shops for this stuff and I've you know oh yeah cool Walking Liberty put that to the side you know Walking Liberty put that to the side I love these coins I love them let's talk about real quick I'm gonna keep that as a big mess right there let's talk about these over here and again that kind of goes along with these prices that I'm not really paying whoa I just dropped a bunch but yeah boom I got a few little odds and ends here and they they're already in like little coin flips I'm not gonna take him out I'm not gonna do that to him they're just got to be you know stuck there it does cost me a little bit in the way of Rome but there's a nice piece right here 1964 D this is one of the you know fans of the the show and a friend of mine gave me and I really appreciate him this was from Kent oh so there is actually Katy scrapper gave this to me so appreciate Katy scrapper for that I put that I keep with that I think I put that so I wouldn't forget so very very cool very very cool pieces from the community although when people send me that cool stuff and I don't want you to think that I sell it or anything weird like that man it stays with me forever that'll be part of this stack and I just drop so many I drop like six different coins down here they're on flip so they're all protected but again some more more that are in flips when I put those over here to the right somewhere else I got let's see 1943 D ooh that's a pretty one yeah that's a pretty one right there can you enjoy that I'm not sure what happened to the flip but pretty coin very nice very very nice stunning spending uh fifty five I might have put these ones right here in flip so it looks like my handwriting and these are just you know a little bit nicer Roosevelt's nothing too special again with like Roosevelt's for the 1964 Kennedy half dollars and some of like the 1964 Washington quarters you can typically find those in nice condition here's a barber and look 15 dollars is what the price tag says paid you know you know what five dollars to fifty cents for this thing all you got to do is ask be like hey I know it's in the case it says that much but can can we get these for the regular price that you do you know what are they gonna say what's the worst no sometimes I say yes and for me it works out 1916 s so that's cool to find those older 1916 s right there and a couple of hugs Nan's 45 forty-four merch yeah cool cool and let's keep going so while I don't classify like the Morgans and the peace dollars and the same that I do like the regular ninety percent constitutional junk silver they are technically ninety percent so over these things right here so let's talk about them real quick what I kind of go for with peace dollars if you can find something that's you know for me in 1922 and 1923 peace dollars are almost a no buy unless they're really cheap and I do have one right here in 1922 it was so cheap it was like fifteen bucks so I couldn't say no but 1935 is a good one because it starts to really really decrease the the mintage numbers as you get towards the later years of the series so definitely grab these 1921 one of the key dates for sure but you know try to get the the ones that are not 1922 and 1923 as much as you can because they're like I said they're gonna be I've said this many times they're gonna be more valuable I think as they start approaching the 100-year old mark so when it's like you know twenty thirty five I could imagine these right here really going up in value quite a bit I almost dropped it you almost saw it um what else so here's another 1935 again I just picked these up I pick him up as much as I can I did drop that one that just happened nineteen twenty five so you're getting to the years where in 1925 it's still quite a bit of them were made but definitely not the amount that was in 1922 and 1923 so I get him for cheap I'm gonna take him but somebody had asked me a coin show you know like which ones they they recommend buying because they had like a big bin of them and in that bin was mostly 22 and 23 s they were in much better condition don't get me wrong but the price was a little bit higher the price wasn't as you know cheap as I had paid for some of these so you know they were asking me which one is do I recommend those older years from nineteen you know 24 is kind of iffy 25 and 26 okay you know 27 28 for sure and then you know once you get to like all the way up to 35 get those get those as much as you can now there was some years it was skipped in the peace dollars but you know anything past 1920 to 1923 just by I mean you probably won't go wrong as long as they're cheap you know don't go too crazy spending a lot of money going Oh spectacular said I can spend as much money as I want on a 1935 peace dollar don't do that to yourself but you know get them if they're cheap for sure so here's a 1926 I got that because it's cheap and here's a Morgan I like the Morgans when they're cheap enough I grabbed him up this one was like 17 18 bucks I think something like that so you know I grabbed Adams I loved those those old pieces of history and there's large dollar coins so if I can find those for cheap I love them now here's something there's somebody asked me write or actually they they were more you know more telling me than anything they said don't bother grading coins that are not worth at least X amount of dollars right if they're worth only $100 don't bother grading them now I would argue this point a little bit and let me talk about why now I'm going to use this right here as an example of my point that I'm trying to make now I found this coin this is an MS 62 1935 piece dollar right you can argue that it maybe not 90 or ms 62 all you want NGC would argue with you that it is and I'm gonna believe NGC on this one now this 1935 piece dollar was in a pile of different piece dollars in Morgan Dollars and I I grabbed it out of there I said you know what I'm gonna take this coin and I bought it for $17 now here's my point that I'm gonna make if this coin right here was in this slab so and you know this is NGC slab that we look right here and this was in the shop and I was looking through and I asked that that shot keeper I said hey how much is this piece dollar right here in this lab you think they would say it was $17 or they're gonna say it's closer to over $100 which is this coins value now so that's the point I'm making is that there's a sum really unrealized value and a lot of these coins until you get them graded if I was to put this coin ungraded okay just boom how I bought it originally onto eBay I may get twenty twenty three dollars for the coin right but if I put this thing graded in a slab on eBay I'm gonna get three four or five times that amount just because it's in a slab and it's proven now to be ms sixty two it's not my word that people are gonna have to take that it's a good you know looking coin it's now a professional coin grading company so you know it's kind of necessary evil I guess these coin grading companies sometimes to get more value out of your coins now I'm not saying go out there and grade every single coin you got but you have those coins that may not be worth much you know just sitting there in your collection you know in an air-tight nobody really thought much about this coin at all you know when I found it in a pile nobody was thinking much about this coin but now they descend they want these pretty little greatest slabs and it says ms 62 on it there's B there'd be people that would be like you know what I'd buy that coin I'd definitely buy that coin maybe they want to pay less because it's you know so toned up and it's kind of kind of nasty looking when it comes to coins but it's definitely much more sharp and much more noticeable now that it's created so that's my argument right there is maybe just because something's only worth a hundred bucks doesn't mean if you you know you put twenty bucks into it originally to buy it and then you put like another twenty twenty-five dollars into grade it you have about a fifty dollar amount of you know value now that you've added to that coin because it's created something to think about so listen that was a lot of fun and a lot of work and I tell you what's gonna be more work is me putting all this stuff back I got a little bit of work to do with putting it back and also I want to kind of go through this bag right over here and try to see if I can put any of it into some of these tubes it may have just a smidge more room into it but it was fun hopefully if you stay through this entire video let me know but some people just skip to the end and they're like oh yeah I stayed but I want to know who stayed through the entire thing that's a long time isn't it Wow whoa but it was fun to show you the entire monster box I've never before I never really thought to anything could be a big deal but it's fun just fun right like I said 2020 is coming up we'll do something new we'll do something new just before 2020 so chances are you know you're really kind of concerned about Christmas maybe you're not focused on junk silver right now you're kind of worried about Christmas presents for the family whatever the case may be but you know eventually you're gonna have a little bit of money a little bit of downtime and maybe you start thinking about some constitutional silver maybe some organs and peace dollars maybe that stuff will be on your mind and you know buy this stuff and buy it this is so much history right here so I have all this right here out of my little my little display here imagine all the different people that just has been on these coins right here imagine where these things have been just just what I have here I'd say tens of thousands of people have you know processed these coins it's gone through their hands that's amazing to me that is amazing the different places you know it's Wow Wow driving me crazy to think about it anyways at this point though I gotta clean this stuff up my wife's gonna be so mad thank you for watching thumbs up if you liked it comment some stuff down below if you'd like to and subscribe if you haven't spectacular is out you
