what's up everyone it's indemion and yet again we have woke weirdos pushing racist identity politics to mask their own incompetence when it comes to Modern media and the things that are being created so in this video I'll be talking about Disney's the Marvels and later on we'll dive into Netflix's live action one piece which has taken the World by storm and woke weirdos are not happy about it to begin let's look at this article from bounding into comics where the Marvel's director Nia Dacosta is pulling both the racism and sexism excuses as to why her upcoming film will be awful in case you somehow don't know the Marvel Stars Brie Larson as the worst superhero in existence alongside the girl from that show that nobody watched and the other lady who thought Scarlet Witch was a victim even though she committed war crimes on a small rural town in America the Marvels is the epitome of woke identity politics it has all the makings to be the most virtuous signaling politically driven slopfest of a film and it's the exact opposite of what Marvel needs right now when it comes to getting fans to believe in the magic that was once the MCU this brings us to Nia DeCosta who stuffed her film with enough diversity to make a gender-study student explode but according to her even though she controlled the set and had everyone answer to her every whim that still didn't matter because everything is racist and sexist when you're raised with a victim mindset let's hear what the Marvel's director had to say and I quote sometimes as a black woman you realize that people think you take up more space than you actually do or your voice sounds louder for people than it actually is or your tone is more stern than it actually is when it came to previous films I worked on some crew members on previous sets said things that are super inappropriate that you would just never say to anyone else because they were so specific to my gender my race my age I realized it wasn't ever going to be about how much power I have mastered how many great movies I made or if I won awards it was always just going to be the people that I surround myself with the thing that I've been most surprised by lately is how much respect I'm getting from these middle-aged white dudes that I work with you can't do anything but be yourself so bring that to the table they can choose to take some and leave some but that's what your job is end quote and while Nia DeCosta tries to play the victim card and say she had all of these challenges making this film because she's a woman of color which is so tiring to hear at this point Nia obviously never mentions any names or examples just simple he said she said vanity fairs Rebecca Ford who interviewed the Costa confirmed none of these claims she made happened on the Marvels this director who seems talented I mean she did direct the Candyman remake is now going from a low budget film to a sequel to a billion dollar franchise but the hype surrounding the MCU has aged like a glass of milk left in the Sun for a week which is to say what used to emote praise and hype from fans has largely been replaced with eye rolling and groaning instead if you objectively look at this year alone the only film or project Marvel has released that's done well was Guardians volume 3. and that's because it's James Gunn's voice and style oozing throughout all of it whereas the Marvels according to Dacosta in her own words is not her movie but it's Kevin feiges it's wild that a director would openly just admit that this movie months before release not only lacks her style but her Personal Touch is damning but it's nothing new when it comes to Marvel and Disney as besides very rare cases like the Guardians Trilogy or Multiverse of Madness most of these films are homogenized and made by committee than say a solo director's unique voice and it's also largely why so much stuff they've been doing lately is absolute butt cheeks but it's even more damning when the Marvel's director follows up what she says by confirming her first jump into the MCU will also likely be her last she even openly admitted via her Vanity Fair interview that she talked to other MCU directors and said that she was overwhelmed and stressed by everything I can just imagine Kevin feige and Bob Iger reading that comment as they begin screaming inside their brains at the shitstorm they made for themselves DeCosta had more to say and it's hilariously damning of Marvel and I quote sometimes you'd be in a scene and you'd be like what the hell does any of this [ __ ] mean or an actor's looking at some crazy thing happening in space and they're actually looking at a blue X there were obviously hard days and days where you're like this just isn't working it was really great to play in this world and to be a part of building this big world but it made me just want to build my own world more end quote so we have yet another director who openly admits that the process of making these big superhero movies is a corporate hellscape or ideas go to die but at the same time none of this is surprising either really especially when the director was headhunted and hired specifically because of her politics and identity over her resume and abilities look I'm not saying to Costa is a bad filmmaker but she obviously doesn't have the experience of other MCU directors like the Russo brothers or even Rai Kugler this is yet another classic example of someone being diversity hired for ESG reasons to fulfill quotas for a corporation it's no surprise Disney and Marvel especially have done a complete 180 when it comes to the MCU in its golden era the MCU was much less about Wilk identity politics and it said about telling great stories stuff like The Avengers change Cinema for better and for worse and things like Infinity war Civil War and end game have gone down in history as you just had to be their moments when it comes to theater experiences but let's be real that the current state of the MCU is a shadow of its former self their movies aren't doing a as well they're reviewing worse and it's all because the people being hired are not being chosen because of their talents but their identities Nia DeCosta clearly flourishes in smaller budget projects and there's nothing wrong with that but plucking a fresh early 30 year old director because her identity will boost your ESG score is classic woke corpo nonsense at its finest this is why there are directors who flourish in Bigger Productions and budgets someone like Christopher Nolan comes to mind or like I said before the Russo brothers who had the impossible task of making Infinity war and end game back to back and nailed it which is crazy even to this day and then you have your directors who excelled in the lower budget stuff like Dacosta for example and then you have anomalies that can do both like Sam Rami with Doctor Strange or Spider-Man and Classics like one of my favorite films of all time which is Evil Dead 2. the problem here with not just marvel but really all entertainment is that too many studios are hiring people based on their politics or identity over their accomplishments and abilities I guess it's cool to have a young black woman direct your sequel to a billion dollar movie but when she openly trashes the employer and claims it's too hard to make you kind of get what you paid for and speaking of getting what you pay for let's mosey over to this next story surrounding the one piece Netflix live action series I'll admit beforehand I have very little knowledge when it comes to one piece I know the main guy is named Luffy I know he can stretch his body like Mr Fantastic and I know the main girl in the anime has knockers the size of melons which I just gotta say hell yeah brother I love the Japanese and recently I've been watching the Netflix series with my girlfriend who does know quite a bit about the series and according to her it's great and honestly I'm having a good time watching it too I've only watched the first four episodes but from what I've seen so far it's an impressive live-action show I really like how buggy looks and his actor was great and what I've seen of that arlong guy I just gotta say his makeup is amazing like just look at this guy he looks incredible I have no idea who he is but his nose looks cool as hell but anyway one of the biggest breakout stars from this show is the Japanese heartthrob named mckennu or mckennu I don't know I'm gonna say McKenna who looks like he was made in the Giga Chad ultimate Japanese boyfriend Factory like if someone said what would be the perfect Japanese guy this dude would show up I had no idea who he was but the fact he was doing his own stunts in the show and how impressive it all looked was awesome then I found out his dad was sunny Chiba and it all started to make sense this guy is the ultimate nepo baby of a martial arts Superstar and apparently one piece isn't even his first foray into live-action anime adaptations and he's made a name for himself over in Japan with many other projects that I've never seen or heard of the point I'm trying to make here is that this guy I was clearly already established and proved his worth long before he starred in one piece as Zorro and honestly the more I watch I gotta say it's not surprising at all but of course like always weirdos are mad that Zorro's actor made roughly four times the amount she-hulk's leading actress did in that Disney plus series and that this is a gotcha example of how sexism is still hurting the pay gap between male and female actors apparently mckennu made around two hundred and twenty thousand dollars an episode on one piece for a grand total of 1.76 million dollars whereas Tatiana mazlani made around fifty thousand dollars an episode for a grand total of four hundred and fifty thousand dollars for all of She-Hulk apparently this means one piece and Netflix is sexist which like I just talked about earlier with the Marvel's director you get what you pay for not say she-hulk's lead actress is an accomplice she is but you can't really compare her to the appeal of McKenna that's like if the Avengers Colby Smulders who played Maria Hill complained she wasn't being paid as much as Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man like come on people are here to see Downey Jr not you and if you want your production and series to be taken seriously and you're able to get big names who were accomplished internationally like this mckennu guy the price speaks for itself and clearly Netflix actually managed a slam dunk here since everybody is talking about one piece and the show is doing insanely well for the platform with a second season rightfully secured already and when you compare mckennu's salary to his co-stars it makes sense Luffy's actor made 320 000 for the entire series nami's made two hundred thousand dollars and Usopp and sanji's actors both made 150 000 for their work on the show too so even if you fuse the prices of four of the five main characters of One Piece Zorro still made the most but again it's because he's a big name and his Trail will also bring about his fan base to the show so Netflix getting this Zorro guy for less than 2 million is honestly probably a steal in their eyes but like I said he clearly wasn't hired because of identity politics he was hired because Zorro is canonically Japanese and the guy looks like they ripped the character out of the manga onto the screen it's the tired argument you hear all the time from any corner of entertainment why do male soccer players or male basketball players make more than female ones because people buy more tickets and merchandise when it comes to male players because it's higher Stakes the ad revenue is higher on commercial breaks and the fans engage with the male players competition more but at the same time these same weirdos are silent when you ask them well why do female models make more than male ones why does Zendaya make so much modeling when compared to some random male model is it sexism or could it be that people's talents experiences and portfolios dictate take what they're worth plus in terms of modeling of course women models will make more because women consume that sort of stuff like clothing and makeup at an exponentially higher rate than the male demographic so obviously if a hot desirable big following female model promotes your makeup or clothing line the money and opportunities are huge but of course it's totally fine when women are making loads of cash when it comes to things that they consume and it's always sexist when it comes to things they don't consume as much you want to know how I know without looking up anything on Google name me five female basketball players or soccer players go ahead pause this video right now and just give yourself like 15 to 30 seconds and just think really hard about it now do the same for male basketball or soccer players and on the flip side let's look at makeup gurus name me five male makeup gurus now go think of five female makeup people have I proven my point here enough or what the reason why this mckennu guy made four times with she-hulk's actor made is simple economics because there clearly was more demand and his portfolio speaks for itself and clearly 450 000 for She-Hulk might have been too much since many of she-hulk's most expensive issues actually dropped in price once the show aired meaning if anything the She-Hulk Disney plus series hurt the character's brand recognition instead of helping whereas I guarantee you with one piece's live-action show releasing they just exposed millions of people who've never read the Manga Like Yours Truly for example to an entirely new world to consume plus you can't compare She-Hulk to one piece anyway it's literally the most successful manga of all time like one piece outshadows Dragon Ball for God's sakes the Zorro guy made more because he's more in demand and his portfolio like Zendaya's for makeup and fashion speaks for itself it's how recently Les Lee Jones who starred in the terrible Ghostbusters 2016 complained she made less than her co-stars like Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig Jones said she made around a hundred and fifty thousand dollars when it was all said and done and clearly Sony got what they paid for with Ghostbusters since everybody hated that movie this would be like if nami's actor in one piece claimed sexism against zorros for being paid more I already explained this enough but it would be brain dead lunacy to claim that imagine if Tessa Thompson and end game bitched at her Valkyrie character didn't make as much as Downey Jr's Iron Man and end game like no [ __ ] Sherlock he's freaking Iron Man he was the heart of that franchise and people bought tickets to see the movie because of him I can't believe I need to explain basic economics and popularity to people whose entire careers and stuff if you want to get paid more you gotta prove you deserve it you don't get paid more and get better roles by claiming sexism and racism all that does is alienate you and make the audiences hate you so basically to sum this all up mckennu made what he made because his inclusion clearly was integral to the success of the show and there's no denying that Nia DeCosta has likely made a stinker of a film because she's not experienced enough to be doing something of that scale yet and people like she-hulk's actor or Ghostbusters Leslie Jones made what they made because that's what they were worth at the time call me whatever you want but if the roles were reversed and it was two guys complaining about their salaries against a woman we all know people would tell them to sit down shut up and praise Queens because identity politics are where dreams go to die hopefully this helped you understand why all of this nonsense and why things are the way that they are that would be like me saying well why don't my videos get Mr Beast numbers because the size of his channel and reach are insane compared to mine I would be a dumbass to claim that and that's what this is all about idiots all of them anyway thank you for watching watching subscribe for more in the future and like the video to help the channel out have a great day and I'll see you in the next one
