Old School Storybook Park - Storyland New Orleans

[Music] hey all carpet bger here coming to you live from the south more specifically New Orleans Louisiana and even more specifically than that I am in front of Storyland this is like a old school theme park that features uh nursery rhyme characters story book characters it's very rare you see these anymore they were you know the Storyland Parks uh style Park were very popular Once Upon a Time in America but sadly most of them are either completely demolished or falling in massive disrepair but this one's actually still maintained it was built in the 1950s by a Marty Gro float maker and that story land not to be confused with story Ville New Orleans which is a entirely different thing don't worry about that let's go check this out that is a Nancy the spider from African folklore check out that elf okay [Applause] look like there's a rocket ship let see how that's fairy tale oriented look like we have the Disney style dwarves over here there's Snow White Sleeping Ariel a little mermaid right there she's not wearing enough clothes we got here this rabbit with some strange war paint on it's like Jack's trying to escape here using his beant stock skills wear of wolf ah it's horrifying wonder whose Castle this is guess that's o Cole his pipe right there's a sheep right here unfortunately little B peep is nowhere to be found why you go in the straw there she is Mother gives herself daddy you can be all right this one might be my favorite this is monstro the whale up there on top we got Pinocchio waving hey Pinocchio right you can actually step into the whale down down down this his tongue his teeth and then there like a fish sticking out of his throat that C's not actually jumping over the moon more like relaxing on top of the [Music] Moon I don't remember this fairy tale but it looks like the coolest thing ever check out this woman holding a posum in a diaper that's [Music] amazing this pirate ship here we got Peter Pan doing battle with Captain Hook up there in the Live Oaks nothing says Christmas like a New Orleans Gator all right appreciate you guys watching please like subscribe share and uh if you'd like to buy a t-shirt that links below if you'd like to get some postcards for me while I'm out on my road trips uh just send me a few dollars on patreon that links down below as well appreciate [Music] it
