today is finally the day that you going to beet our sweet girl oh my gosh we are so in love and actually if you're seeing this she was already adopted so that's oh my gosh hi all right crimping or curling your hair crimping crimping it okay what do you want to say guys I'm getting adopted May 6th I know two days do so exciting and dose means two in Spanish that's true Uno means one in Spanish yep guys I'm so excited for this yeah I'm getting a dress for the for the adoption you're my always you're my forever you're my reality [Music] you're my sunshine you're my best times you're my I love oh I love you too I'm so happy that I'm getting adopted soon I'm so happy I'm the luckiest mom in the world to have you and I give the best hugs you do give the best hugs I'm so excited for it of my life all I have all right are you all ready to see the face behind the voice that you've been hearing for the last she's head but in the hands she is ready to break through ready 3 2 1 this this is Arn this is Arn everyone me her face what are you uh revealing your new name oh she's going to explain her name actually tomorrow tomorrow she will explain her name and what she chose but this is AR is she beautiful she get really she does give really really good hug mama get in this hug get in the hug grou grug a over you can proba say hi you don't have to this work and you don't have to have full sunglasses on I know yay finally but you guys have missed a lot a lot a lot over the past year it's been pretty close to a year actually it has been a year it's been a year I first met her in April okay let me tell you how this all came about this is how we met so we got a phone call from a caseworker saying we have this 99-year-old little girl who needs a forever family and so we were kind of like ah do we do it do we not we were kind of going back and forth and the case worker was like here's the thing though and and actually the case worker it was kind of a weird connection but the case worker came from the same office where Ryland Liam and Bella were like out of that office and so that's kind of how they were connected and figured out our number and our name and all of that uh so anyways they called they were like you know we have this and then they were like but she has gone through so much loss and been through so much that we don't want to get our hopes up we don't want to tell her anything we just want you to start going and doing visits with her and make sure she feels good about you guys you feel good about her and it's just was like you know that there's this connection and that we're meant to be forever and so so we they just told her we were friends that were coming and so Aon wasn't able to go on the very first visit it was over in Flagstaff and so which is like 3 hours from us rough 2 and a half 3 hours so Ariana and I drove over actually Ariana wanted to go with and met her for the first time we took her to a Peter Piper Pizza and it was an instant connection like I don't know and she grabbed Ariana's hand and started walking through the parking lot and I had that like where it takes your breath away cuz you're like it's my kid like it was just oh I just I knew from that moment like it was just an instant I knew she was mine like and I can't describe that feeling when it it comes I can only say like when you've ever birthed a child the second you like they come out and you look at them and you just like instantly have this love that just oh this unconditional love oh that's all right good [Music] job that a good one again good job nice cool that's pretty good [Music] yeah not going to cry in this video I swear but um so I just I just knew and I went home well I called Aaron on the way home and I was like like she's our daughter I can't waiting for you to meet her and so the next weekend so because we were driving so far to do these visits and oh that's the other thing is they wanted to do it as resfit which is basically where your babysitting a foster child is kind of what that is um so they were like we're going to do some respit visits we're going to do all of this just to make sure like before anything is said so Ain and I went the following weekend and met and he met her for the first time and we actually flew kites together you excited yeah look at this it's slide I want to stop real quick the park that we took her to that was like the most beautiful Park that I have ever seen it was really good the day was like perfect there was a gentle breeze so kite flying was like perfect I I don't know it was just like the perfect day and just meeting her and just seeing her personality was just amazing and I I agree with Crystal like the moment I met her I was like she's our daughter so the kites were absolutely perfect yeah I agree with Aaron it was like the perfect day you're doing it yeah got him oh there you go W oh this is doing DRS did you see that you're doing great Arwin good job look at that was so fun and so I was so excited for the kids to meet her and for everyone I mean Ariana had been the only one that have met her at that point and so we called the case worker and said yes we feel really good about this and they were like okay we still don't want to tell her yet and because they wanted to make sure I don't know and and I totally get it kids that go through foster care have been through so much trauma so much loss just so much or at least the majority of them that case worker didn't want to get her hopes up or didn't want to experience any more of that I think the case worker really wanted her to finish out the school year and the situation and everything that she was in and then we would move her during the summer so we would get the opportunity during the summer summer um to have a lot of you know bonding time oneon-one time vacation time all of that kind of stuff so that we can really get to know her and you know get that moment so at this point we were all feeling really good about the situation that we decided to have her over for r b or to like have her stay the night what are we doing I W it you're going to wrap that who you going to wrap it for oh oh are you meeting a new special friend today yeah it's going to be so fun all right what are we doing oh we're so excited hey I don't think she needs all this baby she doesn't need grass from Easter let's just do this and we'll do the candy K oh I make this too you think she needs Checkers did you just find that in this closet yeah to our future selves if you're seeing this that means that something very special happened today and so she came over and her and Aurora got along so well aora what are you thinking aora is so excited hold on wait for her to knock wait for her to knock it was actually the cutest thing in the world because uh she was actually with us when we were doing like the mini makeover or like making over Aurora's room at the time it was going to be hers too uh but when we were adding that second bed we went to to the store to pick out comforters and she actually got to pick out her own comforter and it was it was the cutest thing because it was like you could tell that she was like this is something that's mine like this is something I get to pick out and even though she actually didn't know at this point of like that we were going towards adoption I think just having that when she was having sleepovers on the weekends and coming over a lot having a bed and a comforter that she picked out was like it meant the world to her her and I just the way she lit up when she got to pick it out was just like the cutest thing in the entire world I love it yeah yeah is that going to be firm enough for you is that a good pillow perfect I love it this is the that she is picking out thank you yeah sh my bad shortly thereafter was her birthday uh her birthday is in June another June birthday June June 30 so many June birthdays June 30th 2013 we can tell you guys now so yeah I was like if your birthday is in June you're just a part of the family so if you have a June birthday know that that we're thinking about you in June happy birthday so we took Arwin uh to a trampoline park and it was just amazing I don't know what's up with us in trampoline parks but just connections are made at trampoline parks guys I don't know um and so she she loved it all the kids loved it had so much fun you did it your turn dad you ain't getting me on that thing and then afterwards we went home and she got to open presents and she was just she lit up over the smallest things it it was just so heartwarming and endearing it was just it was the sweetest like we could have given her just like a pencil and she would have been like oh my gosh like so grateful and just so this like Vibrance to life with her like when you're around her she just enjoys the little small moments and she's just like in the moment like you know times you're like worrying about the future or like thinking about something from the past or you're just always in this like you know where you're just thinking about other things not her she is like in that moment and it's the I can't even describe what she brings to our family it's so incredible okay ready happy birthday to youth happy birthday to you happy birthday dear AR happy birthday to [Music] you [Applause] y she's Isn whoa It's a d a makeup kit wow I got makeup and one more thing here's next I'm so happy I'm so [Music] happy Barbie doll that's so fun I know okay here's the next one here's my big present I already see it Minnie Mouse her Minnie Mouse yes oh I see one more thing I love this I love thisday thank you everyone you're welcome what the heck is he doing so the kerker we were still going really slow at this point and she was still going back and forth even during the summer cuz again they just wanted to take it so so slow with her like just to make sure I have a ride she has a ride movie look at we all [Applause] ready and look I love [Applause] themes so Arwin was in a previous adoption situation that didn't end up working out and I think that was very traumatic for her and I think the case worker was really trying to make sure that that didn't happen again yes I agree and so as we were taking it slow though and she was going back and forth and back and forth and her foster family and Flag Staff incredible incredible people they would drive and meet us halfway or sometimes they would drive all the way cuz they had kids here that like older adult kids or whatever but they were incredible to work with and to kind of figure out schedules but at one point Arwin looked at me and was like I don't want to leave I don't want to keep going back and forth I don't want to do that and so I called the caseb and I was like listen it's time it's time that she just move in like she doesn't want to do this Resa it doesn't want to do the back and forth we're her forever family like it's for sure like let's just let's just do it and the case where go like nervously was like okay okay we're going to officially move her so that was the end of July at this point it was kind of getting later in the summer and I was like school's starting I want to get her moved in before school so she doesn't have to switch and get her en get her enrolled yeah so she officially moved in I think it was July 27th was the official date of her movement and then back to school shopping was incredible she was so excited to be able to get new clothes we're not going to share her actual like foster care story or like what she's been through or anything like that she can choose to share that in the future uh but we won't be sharing any of that we're just sharing when we met her and like our experience this part of it and and also cuz it's a happy experience and it's good you know there's a lot of good there's a lot of bad in foster care and even in certain adoption stories there can be very negative things but then at the same time there's also a lot of beauty and a lot of good that can come good job girl thank you Daddy thank you you get so guys I got a golden medal I know that's so cool I've never had a metal before you haven't this your first one yeah yay it's cuz you did so good and that's my first competition ever you did amazing thank you can I see it Mom sure all right so it is bedtime now and this this was a really fun day today and I hope you guys have a very good Christmas tomorrow my wait I'm almost the same he as you I love you guys good night AR love you night sleep quick byebye tomorrow's Christmas Day I chose Arwin a shiny reindeer paper because she has a very shining personality I do you do you bring so much joy and laughter and I give a lot lot to good hug you give amazing hugs and the reindeer helps Santa to bring the presents and you're always so helpful and anytime that I need help you're always there for me I love that ready yes I am okay we have to preheat the oven to 350° do I do I hit Y and then and yay have you the first time yeah make sure you space them out cookies kind of expand as they cook has all the different colors and the different things in it because her personality is just so bright and colorful and it even has one of my other favorite colors red yeah red and she's also very loving and so one thing I love about her is that she is always yeah coming up and giving the most amazing Huns dad and dad loves you yeah you're just very very loving thank you Merry Christmas that's our first Christmas together I love opening Christmas presents and Christmas is my favorite time of the year no no oh my thank you [Music] I'm guessing it's a bracelet maker and that was right oh and I'm also very good at making bracelets so if any of you guys want a bracelet I can make it that is fire cuz if you guys any of you if any person in the world went a bracelet got him unless I run out my you guys my dad and mom know me very well it's they they know I love to sing's go to Santa thank you slime I will be showing you guys my room me and my sister's room this is my bed I know it's not bed I know it's not not made but this is okay A's bed I have this jewelry making kit it's for anlet and and bracelets and we will see you guys later did you go over the Barbie one first yeah yeah it is so cute do you like it yeah I think that'll look good yeah and we found you some black pants and we got you some sweatpants yeah this is yours is that soft oh my words you like it that is so cute yeah that'll look so good on you super soft earrings but they're not yep Sparkles just like you so cute guys it's so cute and it's plus it's long sleeve I know now you'll be nice and warm at school mom and then one more Sparkle one these are all so so cute you I did a good job yeah yeah favorite thing about Aaron is that he gives me big hugs and that whenever I start to cry he he cheers me up and whenever I need some help he helps me oh I love that that's really good I've actually been needing a new one cuz I want to jot down ideas that I have for videos so thank you and here's the other one be very careful with that one so it doesn't explode oh it's a drink it's a drink that is a type of soda no I love it I started M it's like strip awesome thank you I love that I got it from the store this is my first time holding Chopsticks and my first time eating sushi how was it it was it it tasted normal tasted normal did you like it h kind of ch ch me only going start we forg I want to be F on want to have a grandma we're doing some we're going on the trampoline yeah and need to get long yeah I'm really good at gymnastics and me me me ow see those yeah me and were our best sisters yeah best friends so fast forward to today since you're seeing this today is her official adoption day happy adoption day happy adoption day AR we're so happy and we feel so incredibly lucky to have you in our family and we love everything about you and we're looking forward to so many more memories together and we found our missing peace guys all right well thank you so much for watching and we will see you all next
