Exploring the Fascinating Minds of Octopuses Octopus Memory Test We placed a snack in one of the 4 tubes The holes are big enough for the octopus to fit an arm through, yet small enough to prevent him from seeing the fish at the bottom of the tube We placed the snack in the same tube every time to test his memory Although he’ll sometimes search in multiple holes simultaneously, he does seem to favour one each time. No matter how we try to set up each experiment, they always seem to find a way to foil our plans
