there's Jacksonville head coach Gus Bradley now in his fourth season as the head man for the Jaguars and on the other side of the field a guy who used to be the head man here in Jacksonville Nets Jack Del Rio nine seasons and two playoffs in his tenure as head coach of the Jaguars let's go down to Jamie Rio put that head coaching headset on for the first time in his career it was on the sidelines in Jacksonville like he said took the team first game back now while it might be miss natural inclination to treat this like any other opponent he did say the questions this week leading up to his return did cause for some reflection calling these nine years great and the fact that he raised his kids here in Jacksonville makes him appreciate the city even more now not often does he get to see his son Luke is a quarterback at University of Florida but he's in Gainesville so last night that you were able to have dinner the Gators are on a bye week we'll talk more about that later but Luke and I his dad Jack had a nice little dinner together great that's one proud papa to Jamie thank you very much the Jacksonville Jaguars won the toss they have deferred and they will kick it off to the Raiders beautiful beautiful beautiful afternoon here in northern Florida this kick will go into the end zone will not be returned by Jalen Rashard and so we'll start at the 25-yard line that means Raiders quarterback Derek Carr selected in the second round of the 2014 draft trying to take the Raiders back to the postseason promiseland 12 touchdown passes against three picks Trent he's coming along nicely I think as the Raiders would say you know and you talked to the guys on the team and the coaches on the team and they just say they can't say enough about his leadership yes he has he has great skills we've talked about that here in the open his ability to throw the ball all over the field the decision-making but it's his leadership that's making a difference in the locker from the 25-yard line as we get it underway this is DeAndre Washington and Washington picking his way through the left side across the 32 about the 31 yard line the veteran on the Oakland offensive line is the left tackle Donald pan in his 11th season out of Utah State and one half of the Raiders talented y receiver duo is Michael Crabtree who has caught five up Derek cars 12 touchdown passes six yards on the pickup by Washington into the second and four and Washington Malone back behind car Washington once again and he'll lose yardage this time hit behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of about to tell Ben Smith on the charge across the line the Jaguars defense the youngster who bears watching rookie yani kani Okwe who has four sacks one in each of the last four games the rookie at second round dick miles Jackson ala starts at linebacker and the Wookiee to watch in the Jacksonville secondary is Jalen Ramsey the number one pick out of Florida State lost two on the play third and six [Applause] drop back in his Hosain now throw sideline incomplete overthrew his intended receiver michael crabtree a Greg that was great timing by the Jaguars defense they had all the defenders up near the line of scrimmage only one safety deep it appeared they were going to bring pressure go man-to-man right at the last second they decided to drop the safety out look how they have everybody near the line of scrimmage then they drop the linebackers out they drop saved out they go to a cover two so if you change the play of the line of scrimmage by the time they made that late adjustment you didn't have enough time to change it into something else so good timing on their their switch up there by the Jaguars defense Marquette King puts it away to Rashad Greene and Greene this is returnable from about the 13 yard line across the 20 out to about the 22 so that's where Jacksonville will get it started in Jaguars quarterback Blake bortles selected in the first round of the 2014 draft 35 touchdown passes a season ago eight so far this year throwing and he has rushed for another he's not quite on the same path care car has been but the Jaguars like the improvement they've seen they do like the improvement in the fact that he has the young talent around the way Allen Robinson Allen Hurns all of them including bortles just in their third year so they have high expectations for this group moving forward TJ Yeldon the only back behind Blake bortles on first down [Applause] drop it down now gross and that is Tipton incomplete intended for the tight end Julius Thomas left front for Jacksonville left tackle Kelvin Beecham practice time was limited by a bad knee this week but he starts today and the Jaguars are a handful at wide receiver Pro Bowler Allen Robinson led the NFL with 14 touchdown catches last year he has three so far this season this is yoga [Applause] and not much there is heated up to about 23 and a half yard line on the opening defense Stacy McGee starts inside he's the Raiders sack leader with two and a half at linebacker number 54 Perry Riley junior starts at middle linebacker this afternoon in place of the rookie Corey Gaines and quarterback Sean Smith the Raiders team leader in interceptions with two Jacksonville not very successful on offensive possessions for the first time in a game this season no opening drive touchdowns last 19 games in fact this is third and 814 good time lots of time over the middle and he threw it behind his intended receiver at the 40-yard line and that was Alan Robinson a lot of battles going on there between Robinson and Sean Smith's son Smith things have fallen off there at the end of the route watch all the hand contact between the two of them up the field Robinson looking for the penalty which like there's a little give-and-take by both players the reaction of the crowd as they look at the replay Brad Northland to punt it away - Jalen rashard The Shard rookie free agent out of Southern Miss standing at his own 26 yard line Norton moves it out of there and this is Rashard from the 19 [Applause] not much rule as he works his way back up to close to the 30-yard line that is where Oakland will go back to work on offense when we come back to Jacksonville scoreless that's Jacksonville coach Gus Bradley who is making a case with one of the officials looking for a flag on that last pass played there was none forthcoming and here is Oakland at their own 30 yard line latavius Murray makes his first appearance at the day in the backfield throws behind him but making the catch is Michael Rivera the tight end and we have a penalty marker down our referee today is Jeff Triplett off sad defense number 56 line up the neutral zone that penalties decline and rebuilding the plays first down at Dante Fowler guilty of the penalty you're gonna watch Audra on the end of the line here he doesn't bite for the fake he comes off he's there waiting for car as he comes out on the bootleg he reads it right away the problem is Rivera working from the backside is able to get opening car with the someone accurate throw nice catch by Rivera a little bit on his back hill he's in his own car this side line and that misses connections with cred trees talk about your keys for the day well let's start with the Raiders and that big big-money defense right now needs to pay dividends he spent a lot the last two off seasons in they're ranked 32nd Derek Carr needs to bounce back he's had a good season but last week against the Chiefs interception and a fumble and for the Jaguars they need to put some pressure on cars we've already seen today and eliminate the drops they got 10 drops in the last two weeks have two Jaguars you know drops every every every meet that's that's the quarterback in you that's a head it gets under your skin love it car with time flips it out that's complete to set Roberts & Roberts tackled at about the 46 yard line meant not enough the first down Eric Holder making attacking you'll watch car he's looking out to his left trying to get the ball up the field but he just goes underneath to Roberts and great open field tackle by Calvin you'll see him coming in from the deep secondary knocking out Roberts legs and not allowing him to get to the first down pull them back in action for Jacksonville after four game suspension for violation policy 13/7 sale the late movement by the Jaguars we showed it earlier but they're doing it once again trying to shuffle guys around the cross and continue on the Blitz car on the run and he makes the connection to Michael Crabtree that's a nice job of throwing on the run by Derek Carr it is and he does it he recognizes that he doesn't have any buddy over to his left to block Colvin as he's coming with safety pressure and that time there I'm ooh Kamara coming up and making the tackle that ball floated in the air I tell you what I said I'm here buck said man with it floating that much you usually see a defensive back undercut it but Crabtree came back to the football and was able to have the distance to get the first down good for 11 yards on first down at the Jacksonville 43 and we have movement up front and flags all over the field neutral zone infraction ma 99 defense five-yard penalty still first down penalty is on some derrick marks of the Jaguars Michael Crabtree 25 of his 31 catches and now 26 and 32 have gone for a first down tied for the NFL lead with those 5 touchdown catches we told you about blowing up after moving across the bay there from San Francisco to Oakland he's been a nice addition he's helped out Amari Cooper quite a bit terms of understanding and learning this game the fake to latavius Murray Carr gonna love it as his man inside the 15-yard line robert roberts working himself open going against sipper in the safety you can see the play fake that was able to draw the underneath coverage Roberts coming from the backside almost running a wheel route like a drag and then worked his way up the sideline zippering coming up fighting on that play pay from the 12 Murray pullings his way inside the tent to a cop the seventh trip that Gentiles set him up in first and fire this first and five open up the playbook for you more than first and ten it does quite a bit it's as a play caller you can use more things there's more things at your disposal you can take some chances up the field that maybe you wouldn't normally take because you're automatically going to be second and five if you get an incompletion Oakland one of the best red zone teams in the NFL car with time it turns it away fifteen trips to the red zone for the Raiders this year 12 touchdowns and three field goals and you can see why part of it is the play of the offensive line for the Raiders only seven sacks on the year of David of Derek Carr he's able to go through his progression see understand has that pocket collapses there was nowhere for him to go make the smart decision throw it out of bounds set your seat set your team up for a good third down Jack Del Rio that talented and deep 35 Bart end zone incomplete intended for five Walford the Tynan well I thought Paz loves me was going to was either going to tip this baller intercept it this is a tight window trying to throw it to Walford in there almost got there too little little bit risky you can see actually Paz Leslie gets a finger on it you could see him just tip the ball at the last minute causing a little bit of wobble wobble and not allowing Wolper tip to completely catch you 26-yard field goal attempt upcoming from Sebastian Janikowski 17th season in the National Football League in the janakowski tried-and-true three nothing in favor the Raiders with 906 to play in the first suit Trent you live in Kansas City Missouri this is a beach it has water sand and all that good stuff this is Atlantic Beach about 25 minutes from here that's what that's why you live near the beach that's why you don't enjoy the leaves changing in the fall get me closer to the Hurricanes right marquise lead on the run to the 33-yard line let's talk a little bit about Blake bortles when you try and break him down on film and you see what he does well it's it's pretty easy to to pick out the the fact that he has a strong arm he could make all the throws down the field he's got a big arm he throws well on the run he's 77% when he breaks outside the pocket where there's a call throw outside the pocket the thing that he's had a little trouble with this year understanding the game management of it when you can take those risks and when you need to try and squeeze it in there and he just got to do a better job of that as this season progresses it's not a good job the last two weeks which of both wins this is Chris Ivory making his first appearance of the day and he tries to speak us in the yardage may have gotten to one of the most with NFL game pass replay the games you miss with condensed games in 45 minutes or the full broadcast version get the new midseason offer today at nfl.com slash game pass well someone's got to give in that run game for the Jaguars they're come into this game only rushing for 71 yards a game 31st and rushing the football but the Raiders are giving up 132 on the ground right now the Raiders defense is winning that battle portals to throw on second and nine has time crossing pattern at penalty markers fly this is Mark Easley and lead out close to the 43 yard line but let's check the penalty [Applause] [Applause] we pretty much good at guessing the penalty where where the where the where the flag comes from well I think you're gonna be holding on the defense I think they're gonna get holding up the field not sure who it was that was on Walford but Fall Quarter was work in the middle of the field and looked like that's where the flag came in [Applause] holding number 53 defense that five-yard penalty of the course results in an automatic first down so Malcolm Smith was guilty of the hold and it's a first down for a Jacksonville take another look well this is going to be that's going to be Malcolm Smith there and you see Walford coming up the field that's where I believe the hole takes place you can see as he's cupping him around with his hand that's where the flag comes in Oakland's 53rd penalty of this season that is the most in the NFL so new set of downs for hoardings this is ivory ivory out to the 40 cores or loose balls Raiders are pointing the other way and they're having a tough time on stacking still no indication yet from the officials yeah Jacksonville rain teens possession and Greg just to make fun of myself I think I said that Walford and Malcolm Smith Walford obviously is too tight in for the Raider so that was March saddest Lewis that the holding called Malcolm Smith was holding on so here's the fumble that just took place with Chris Ivory see the ball clearly comes out before the knees come down Harry Reilly jr. has a chance to get that ball but it ivory was able to bring it back in second and for [Music] to a stop just across the 45 yard line you ever read your Trent Green in the airport asking about some of the unspeakable things that happen at the bottom of the pie yeah it's it's you know now with more cameras it's less of it goes on but here we take a look at we talked about the rush offense for the Jaguars and 71 yards again only three point three per carry that makes it tough to establish any kind of play-action passing game where you can get the big plays down the field and that's what's been missing for the Jaguars this season and here's Jacksonville on third down they are the worst in the league on third down converting third down situations mortals with time lots of time on the moon gonna run for it and gets the first down and then some out of bounds in a boat the 38 or 37 yard line well that's something that gets overlooked with Blake bortles because of his size and his pocket presence in his arm he has good mobility for his size he works through the progressions doesn't force it downfield you can see he's trying to pick up Marcus Lee underneath for the first down and now we hit the late flag in the middle of the field automatic first down so Jeff Triplett closed a hole on the Raiders defense and they're gonna move it even further - scrimmage will be the 30 - well that's maybe why with that man-to-man covers he wasn't able to get anybody open but good decision by bortles not forcing it taking off and run where he had the space to the sideline 17 yard run by mortals in the other five for the hole yelled up in the backfield warned us to throw time again and overthrows his intended receiver Julius Thomas update times thanks for standing up for me JV he did stand up for me didn't you see how he said it and he put he put himself in there but you know he didn't mean it he really didn't mean on 2nd and 10 ready to the near side is portals and portals out of bounds close to the 20 CBI's enough for the first down they will mark them out and about the 21 and that is good for first down when you're going to see this is a called run he has a lead blocker coming around but really as Ben is in that the wide receiver spot he works behind the line of scrimmage what's been come out in front he's out there to seal the edge brucer be bites on the fake and bortles able to get the first down mortals to 4:28 running the football so far from the shotgun running out of time hit from behind is that a loose football his arm was coming forward Jeff Triplett comes in and calls it an incomplete pass even gives us a little side arm swing to prove his point a little bit Bruce Irvin appeared to be the Raider to get to him right there number 51 mortals was lucky to get his arm moving forward yeah he was getting hit before that arm started forward but he was able to get enough on it to make that an incomplete pass bortles looking out to his left and Nyssa Lee trying to find Robinson but great shot there of his arm coming forward portals the running back isn't doing much better than mortals the passer he's over for throwing this is going where we shot green on Irvine was like you fooled me on it once with the run that time you're not going to fool man as a right-handed quarterback going to your left to be able to turn your shoulders get the ball out that quick Greg Olson the offensive coordinator for the Jaguars was with Auckland for a couple of seasons knows both these quarterbacks at Derek Cara's rookie year and now with portals for the last two seasons and bortles looking at a third and seven and needs to call the timeout timeout play clock running down there first it's a 30-second timeout so for 46 to play and they'll talk about it on the sidelines let's go down to Jamie great guy I spoke with offensive coordinator Greg Olson before this game now he overlaps with both Derek Carr and Blake bortles in his career making stops in Oakland and now Jacksonville and really when you talk about the commonalities between these two quarterbacks he said if their competitive nature their preparedness and the upside the upside they have in this league but you can see the physical differences between these two now portals and a relationship as well and car made sure to text Blake when Greg Olson got that job to make sure he yeah in fact Thank You Jamie in fact Derek are being clear he stays in touch with a lot of people we got to know a lot of those guys during the draft process to combine process big third down here for the Doug Larry with time rolling for the corner of the end zone up in the air intercepted by David Anderson his second of the season [Applause] we'll take another look but Trent that never looked open no it was a matter of trying to force it up the field and that's something that Blake has to overcome and nice play by Emerson we're going to take a look at the interception here we have urns on an out route and then you got Lee working the corner route but I want you to keep your eye on David Emerson that is who Blake bortles needs to look at you're coming out you're keeping your eyes to the flat you want to draw the corner to the flat make him think that's where you're going then you can lay it up over the top the problem is Robinson didn't take that turns didn't take that route deep enough so Emerson was able to see the eyes of bortles drift right back into it and come up with the interception cameras to the second pick of the season portals with his 51st power and over since he came into the league that's the most in the NFL during that period of time Derek Carr with time Chloe far side of the field that is complete to Crabtree up to about the 23 back to New York tabi Antonio alright guys think you can't city on a roll coming off a bit win against the Oakland Raiders a week ago second and seven and this is latavius Murray stood up at the 25-yard line by Paul plays loves me in his tenth season out of Penn State and maybe playing the best football of his career they were his and if you watch what he's been able to do this season and the fact that he has young linebackers that he's trying to teach and coach he could see the intensity in his eyes reading what's going on in front of him with the blocking scheme he even admits he thinks with all the youth around him in the teaching mode that he's gotten into is rejuvenated him a little bit he feels like he's playing as well as he played Pappas was thing out of Penn State out did record the wind by penn state setting ohio state last night 34 that pass is complete and enough for the first down across the 30 and once again it is Michael Crabtree it appeared that a mukha bar either stumbled or slits right at the top of the route for crabs you see him stumble there just a little bit that allowed Crabtree to catch the ball and had enough momentum to get it across the chains Michael Crabtree three catches for twenty yards on the day and it first down as we come up on to 45 to play here in the first quarter TV is Murray and he nudges across the 35 to the 36 a reminder for you tomorrow TVs number one new comedy now starts a half hour earlier Hilton is special guest Ray Romano when he visits Kevin can wait tomorrow at 8:00 7:00 central only CBS it's interesting Greg here we haven't even talked about Amari Cooper other than the open he's been matched up with Jalen Ramsey haven't even looked having the look Cooper's right so far today and we're here nearing the end of the first quarter second and five meanwhile Marie looks I'd penalty markers fly and his Forex progress will be about 39 now let's check the flag offside 56 new fans lined up the new here Truphone 5-yard penalty still a second down second time today for Dante Fowler you know I asked Derek Carr when we met with him yesterday just because a guy has a reputation as Jalen Ramsay is is getting as a quality cornerback does that caused you to be cautious with steer away from him Derek Carr says you can't do that you can't you can't completely avoid him but you definitely have to pick your spots especially when you have a talent like Amari Cooper you know that if you continually go there and that's the matchup you're gonna have Ramsey very long you see is easy he's got good reach good speed they talked about his speed but it's his irons in his reach that he's able to make a lot of his plays hard gives it off to Murray and Murray close to the 44 yard line minute and a half to play in the first [Applause] Raiders trying to work the running game right now six carries for only 19 yards but consistently trying to push that rushing game to take some of the pressure off Derek Carr when rushing game comes into the week the 13th best in the league they have three different running backs with more than a hundred fifty yards rushing on the season Murray in the backfield is one of them second and eight [Applause] are stepping up throws complete coming to the near side of the field is Amari Cooper and he's knocked out of bounds just as he crosses the 45 at about the 46 or 47 yard line Verlander for you you a weekend begins on Thursday when these Jacksonville Jaguars visit the Tennessee Titans only on NFL Network I think Ramsey and the Jaguars will take that all day and Mark uber is going to be running the underneath routes as opposed to pushing up the field thirty-five perhaps we one-on-one down here at the bottom of the screen on a new Kamara car looks this way throw the fingertips of Crabtree turn the back toward his quarterback and couldn't hold on well that's a good back shoulder throw that's when the Crabtree has to come up with the generally does a good job with these and you can see the location of the ball and muqam are driving on it you want to put it to the outside you want to put it low and away on that low hit that's what that's when the Crabtree he's got to make so on comes the punter Marquette King and Rashad Greene drops back to his own 10-yard line for Jacksonville and the line drive kickin off the hands of green covered down inside the 20 yard line looks like okhla may have it yeah they do covering the ball for the Raiders is on the drain holes and Greg this is really what's been going on between these two teams if you look at them on paper what's the biggest difference between a four and two team and a two and three team and right now the Raiders are plus five after this foam will recover it makes them plus six on the season in turnover ratio and it makes the Jaguars minus five in turnover ratio so giving great field position to the opponent has hurt the Jaguars all season long and with seven seconds to go the Raiders reclaim possession at the Jacksonville 17 so park with time over the middle incomplete intended for Murray out of the backfield it'll be second and ten with two seconds to play well how many times have you and I talked about this Greg this is making me nervous up here you're throwing over the middle on a late check down and you're throwing it high and it gets tipped up in the middle of the field nine times out of ten that's going to be intercepted Raiders very fortunate takes you back to your quarterback Dave we lose all the oxygen in the booth when you go on second and 10 are going to give it to Ola Wally and Ola wale inside the 15 to the 14 yard line and that'll bring us to the end of the first quarter here in Jacksonville of Sebastian Janikowski field goal the only thing on the goal on the scoreboard so far three nothing Raiders you're watching the NFL on CBS back in Jacksonville for the start of the second quarter on an absolutely beautiful beautiful afternoon 70 degrees sunshine and zero chance of rain Oakland with the ball at the Jacksonville 14 seven yards for a first down 14 yards for a touchdown the Tobias Murray in the backfield alongside Derek Carr Encarta throat end zone incomplete intended for sec roberts it be fourth and seven and here comes Janikowski seth roberts lined up and what will be cars left slot right side of the screen for us just running a seam route up the numbers he has cooper on the outside and just a little bit too far on the throw them from car so here's janakowski and this one from 32 yards away [Applause] the man is a machine isn't he and has been for a long time in the National Football 1455 to play in the first half the Raiders lead is six nothing we were talking to dirt car yesterday he said he's not a Yeller or a screamer but when he does get frustrated he Yanks --iz chinstrap down just like that you know but what's Jack Del Rio what the reaction of the head coach at president comes over taps and it says you know what you made a good decision yeah you would like to have that throat you'd make like to get the touchdown but you know what you didn't throw the interception you put us in position to put points on the board okay we had a whistle before the kick because that was hardly a typical Sebastian Janikowski boot nobody for Jacksonville moved and [Applause] and there's usually some communication between the officials that we're ready to go one two three four five six seven they're all talking this thing out reset the game clock to 1450 to so we'll do that [Applause] and we'll redo this you know Sebastian Janikowski Adam Vinatieri their modern-day miracles in this game Arthur well he's you know you can see you see Sebastian shake his head when the Epistle handling of all like I'm gonna kick them all off like a thousand times and it's I happen to go a little early that time so he's more accustomed to kicking it through the endzone I'm gonna keep this one low and bounce it and it's taken at about this 7 yard line brought back to the 15 and out of bounds at about the 20 by our ileus Bend the wide receiver who caught the game-winning touchdown at Chicago a week ago we have a Lake penalty flag down all the way back on the other 40 they're saying like the Raiders might have been offside on the kickoff so we'll do it again on that last time Janikowski just did a little foots kick trying to trying to keep them inside the 25 instead of hammering it into the end zone with the moving it back five yards I wonder if he'll go all out on this one we do we get the cannon shot right here good the sonic boom that we get here you know every once in a while you see a player who might have been outside it looked like it was a team effort that's yeah [Applause] usually tell when the officials don't call out of Norfolk to see a bunch of money or on the kicking deal like that illegal procedure by the offense because he had like three guys move it's like a who's gonna be the one to fall out this has to be approaching a world record for the amount of time Sebastian Janikowski has been on the field well you have to think right now Jackson field feels pretty good their third - - and turnover ratio and they're only down six and so the hill trust this one into the end zone and it's not going to come out so the touchback will put it at the 25 yard line and number 11 he came up with the cannon shot [Music] well after those special teams drills Epworth starting at the Jacksonville 25-yard line Lake bortles in the Jaguar is down six nothing to Oakland and he'll start out by spreading the field five wide receivers [Applause] good production going deep will hand fighting his penalty markers fly pass intended for Alan Robinson and Emerson was covering that time the Jaguars trying to spread things out and get Robinson up that right scene see that right arm of Emerson reaching out and hook in that left arm of Robinson pretty easy call for the whole defense decline [Applause] as a cornerback reach out and grab someone in the hopes that it won't be seen well they reach out and grab because they don't want to give up the touchdown and I think as defensive coaches they would rather instead of a guy just flat-out beating you and giving up a quick six go ahead and grab them and prevent that from happening all right from midfield ivory and knocked out of bounds inside the 10-yard line Reggie Nelson puts them out 43 yard pickup fun and Jack Del Rio talked to us about it he said they're going to defensively they have a lot of good plays the prominences the big plays he said we played solid all year it's just a play here or there that gives up the big play prior to that play prior to these last two plays the defense had been playing outstanding Jaguar is only 41 yards in the first quarter now of a sudden they've moved the whole field in two plays of course the penalty helped with one in the big run that just happened adjusted to a 42 yard game first earned gold ivory again and looks like I were he's gonna lose a yard on his play back to the 9 [Applause] we talked about the big money free agents that came in this year they also brought in some guys last year with Malcolm Smith the guys they brought in this year Bruce Irving Sean Smith the corner Reggie Nelson the safety so they brought in some guys in and you're expecting better performance right away the thing is is it takes some time to get used to new teammates new calls getting adjusted and Jack Del Rio as I mentioned the team is close just giving up too many big plays we have a timeout called on the field by the Raiders I believe so while they do that we'll do this remind you that coming up the Verizon halftime report join JB and the guys for all the latest NFL scores and highlights as well as a preview of Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network all coming up on the Verizon halftime report so blind scrimmage closer to the 10 than it is to the 9 yard line but it is 2nd and goal [Music] portal's again spreads the field and the lava in the end zone it is incomplete penis Thomas the intended receiver gonna be 30 gold well that's one of the areas that Blake bortles talked to us about trying to get Julius Thomas more involved coming into this game only 13 catches on the season mats up 101 on the rookie Carl Joseph it's a size advantage for the Jaguars just missed on the throw on a sparkling afternoon for Blake bortles 1 out of 7 throwing a football for 3 yards and an interception he'll throw it here on the quick slant for with progress be market about the five but that said Alan Robinson with the catch and that'll bring the field goal unit onto the field and I know the fans here in Jacksonville aren't real happy with that play call but protect the football get some points on the board you have to take advantage of this drive the previous play was that down to get it into the end zone that didn't work they didn't get the connection so on third down with the Raiders bringing pressure there's a side adjustment you just get the ball out of your hands make it a plus play and put yourself in position get some points portals can use all the plus plays he can manage Jason Myers with a 23 yard field goal in Jacksonville is on the board 12:38 to play in the first half 6-3 Oakland that's defensive lineman Stacy McGee the Raiders headed to the locker room we'll see if we could find out what's up with him 12:38 play in the first half and Jason Myers who just booted the 23-yard field goal getting set to kicking away to jail and Rashard [Music] and see when the chard oh that this one he will not bring it out and he'll they will start from the 25-yard line let's talk about Derek Carr what you look for from him well the first thing is is he's good against the Blitz and that's why teams don't bring a lot of pressure for Jacksonville they don't like bringing a lot of blitz it's mainly they're down for but Derek Carr complains 67 or 76 percent against blitz pressure throws the deep ball well he does a nice job with that if you look at how many times he throws it down the field obviously those dynamic receivers he has and then sometimes the only negative you can really say is he trusts his arm too much sometimes he gets outside the pocket he tries making a throw when you feel like you can make every throw sometimes you strike squeezing it in there a little too much hard to find anything a whole lot of negative to talk with Derek Carr he's he's having such a productive season this year and of course last year here comes the end around and this is Johnny holding and Holton with blockers in front of him to lots of Running Room across midfield and into Jacksonville Territory for a first down shoved out of bounds by Jonathon Cyprian it will be marked out at about the 46 yard line that's a 29 yard pickup well this is just going to be a fear you're going to peel back around and come around on it just to play fake you you want to get the defense flowing that's what the Raiders do they do the play fake out to the left and they flip it around got a couple blockers out in front Jaguars very lucky that that didn't end up in a touchdown first down very quickly now the Raiders in Jacksonville territory this is DeAndre Washington and Washington ducks inside the 45 fights his way to about the 41 update time all right guys thank you you know Andrew Luck is such a competitor he's not gonna sit still for this lackadaisical approach to the game that the Colts have shown so far this season yeah you're just waiting for him to unload he's he's struggled so far this year but looks like they're dialed in today latavius Murray breaking through on the right side and down close to the 30-yard line that's another first down for Oakland well for the Raiders offense it's nice to have latavius Murray back he's missed some games due to injury and Raiders have a lot of success running to the left side of the offensive line that time everything collapse and Murray is able to cut it back three rushing touchdowns on the season for latavius Murray over four yards per carry you can see averaging almost five yards of carry here today Washington and Illawarra car to throw Washington and Washington - about the 26 yard line down to Jamie Gregg we saw Stacy McGee walk off the locker the Raiders he started addy tackle today for Oakland he is questionable to return with an ankle injury all right Jamie thank you very much [Applause] Jack Del Rio telling us yesterday that he likes his death I mean offensive line and sometimes sacrificing the other positions in order to keep that there Washington and Washington stood up at the 25 when you talk about that offensive line they've prepared productive over on that left side with Donald Penn and assimilate Rodney Hudson brought him over a couple years ago from Kansas City so that left sides been pretty solid they've actually started three different right tackles on the season they've played five different guys in that right tackle spot so trying to get that side nailed down but I'm sure Derek Carr appreciates a head coach in an organization that places an importance on an offensive line and carries ten which was more than the average coach carries around thirty-four olá wallet looking for running rule and finding a dipping inside the 22 the 18 yard line and that'll be a first down for the Raiders [Applause] olala is lined up in the backfield he's just going to give a quick counter step and come in he's gonna follow he's gonna follow Austin Howard comes around the tackle comes around on the counter play able to kick out the Jaguars and give room for all the while a to turn it up inside so the Raiders now with a first down at the Jacksonville eighteen clock continues to move 8:40 to play in the first half Washington is out latavius Murray onto the field that's Murray switching sides next to Derek Carr who will give it to Murray and Murray left side inside the 15 to about the 12 I'm sorry no go I was just gonna say talk about his patience there he comes around he has a lead blocker trying to allow him to set it up Gabe Jackson comes around on the counter play work he's working across in the backfield and you see the rushing comparisons there Jacksonville the majority that coming on the one big run by Chris Ivory so now it's Murray when Ola wallet in the back here latavius Murray bouncing off the tackle as far as the maybe xi xi yardline latavius Mario was going to say he's he's been such a promising runner for so long that the injury bug has always had something to do with him and even now he's just back after missing the last two weeks with the turf - well that's the thing you see a big strong running back and as you said when he's healthy he's very good at reminding me a lot of McFadden who they had there for several years when when McFadden was healthy he was a productive back it's a matter of staying healthy so latavius Murray helps out this offense a lot when he's on the field and able to be healthy he cleared down here for the Jacksonville defense except here got what I wanted they throw that way they've got is completion the Crabtree credible tree for a first down to the five does the Matson they've been going to most of the day and Luca morrow on Michael Crabtree this time instead of running a back shoulder stop throw you're just running a stutter to the outside quick slant crabs were able to secure the catch for the first down first and goal for Oakland at the five [Applause] all will go under center now with Ola wale only back behind him and you'll get the handoff - about the three maybe the two you see where they spot it Paul wasn't making a stop along with with davyous Murray having the injuries and not being able to be there for the Raiders in the red zone throughout most of the season he leads a team with three rushing touchdowns but old a walleye picking up the slack doesn't get the football a lot but down in the red zone he does he has two rushing touchdowns on the season how about this ground game for the Raiders eight rushes on this 10-play Drive [Applause] marie looking for the end zone got it to the touchdown and it's that left side of the line again they like running behind that left side and once again that's where they attack we're able to extend get it into the end zone and I was actually looked up as soon as they scored I checked out their side line because after the two field goals Del Rio I was wondering if he was going to go for two he he goes for two just about his mud SIF now more than anybody in the National Football League but settling it what appears to be to go for the extra point Jack Del Rio told us when this team acquired Coleco assembly the left guard that he really solidified this offensive line here's Janikowski [Applause] like clockwork 11 plays 75 yards took seven minutes off the clock and latavius Murray with his fourth rushing touchdown of the season [Music] we welcome you back to EverBank Field here in Jacksonville where the Jaguars trailed the Oakland Raiders 13-3 [Music] there's that scoring drive readers first touchdown of the day on the board just went into the end zone will not be returned by Mark Easley and they'll start from the 25-yard line getting to be that time where number 5 has to find a little offense to 532 to play in the first half part of the crowd here in Jacksonville five and a half to play here in the first half and Blake bortles trying to get something started at his own 25-yard line before the team's go to the locker room [Applause] with the ball now pulls it down and got to get rid of it and threw it away it'll be second and tenth house Blake bortles looking today well he's been struggling and it goes without saying right now he's sitting two for nine this time under pressure by Irving trying to work through his progressions interception in the corner of the end zone after staring down Leigh Emerson falling off on it in here Ivan Julius Thomas to the corner and a great matchup size matchup just missing the throw an Oakland Raider defense as you see TJ Yeldon looking for running get yourself a first down and in some out of bounds but a reader defense that is dead last in the NFL and cast defense and portals as men it's just eight yard throwing well and that's why Jack Del Rio told us there wasn't a lot of panic you said listen we understand the media's perception and we understand the numbers were last and pass defense were last in defense but he feels like his defense is better than him he feels like they have some good players on that side it's just a matter of all coming together and so far today they have been bortles with time has a man open an undertow and it bounced off the defender incomplete Mercedes Lewis the intended receiver in Malcolm Smith defending looked like he needed to leave a bit more time yeah he threw this too far back and and Lewis actually has a step on Malcolm Smith if you get that to the outside it's going to be a completion see Lewis coming back for it just goes off the helmet of match Malcolm Smith fortunately for the Jaguars it's not intercepted second and ten portal to the sideline that is complete and out-of-bounds across the 45 is Julius Thomas third and about three well you can see the Jaguars even though that ball went out of bounds they're trying to go with an up tempo trying to change things up a little bit Gus Bradley talked to us and a week ago in Chicago they changed the tempo up a little bit hopefully that can get Blake bortles into a rhythm as you look at his last 10 throws they got that key interception and only 3 of 10 for 15 yards [Applause] and we get a whistle on the time out here I'm out called by their second so they use their second here in the first half and we take a break and coming back to Jacksonville with 414 to play back injection villains [Music] Trent will apparently spend that time it's warm enough here I can't get over the weather you know we walked out of the hotel this morning everybody was complaining about how cold it was and I was like well how cold is it outside they're like mid 50s I was like a ho you guys are spoiled come on can't tolerate that 33 portals over the middle has his man pushed down the others in more from Artie's lead lead to the 30 to the 20 and down touched to the 15 yard line DJ hey V made the tackle marquise Lee is going to be lined up on the right he's coming across he got DJ Hayden in coverage and Hayden falls down that's a 38 yard pickup and Jacksonville now at the Oakland 15 3:40 to play and the two timeouts this is Yeldon Yeldon for two it would be second and eight well that was a much-needed play for the Jaguars not getting anything going offensively up until that point three of 11 in the passing game only 15 yards and in one completion getting a 38 yard chunk so you can see changing this tempo up as helped borders with his rhythm [Applause] Mortal gonna go this side of the field and that's complete to Thomas the tight end and he is out of bounds at about the 8 yard line so it'll be third and about three well that's a matchup they wanted we talked about it earlier when they just missed the touchdown having Julius Thomas Matt step on the rookie Karl Joseph in the slot that time having Thomas lined up one on one on the outside Reggie Nelson came running over the top right before the snap just trying to give some help in case that was a fade route they mark it at the 9 so it is 34 immortals who needs the 5 yard line for a first down [Applause] portals spins out of trouble penalty marker down in the backfield portals on the run diving for first down yardage and appears to have it but let's check the flag holding number 77 offense 10-yard penalty for heat third down that is left guard Patrick omame seam line up right there guard coming right through the middle gets bull rust and just reaches out and grabs him to hogwards rush out of Illinois coming right through the middle so instead of first and goal and maybe without the penalty bortles doesn't get that far correct it's third and 14 and the clock continues to move we're gonna get a two-minute warning before anything else happens here in Jacksonville two minutes to play in the first half when we come back portals with a third and 14 looking him in the eye [Applause] we're back in Jacksonville as the Jaguars go to work on 3rd and 14 portals under pressure escapes looking throwing for the end zone Chuck ball and it's incomplete and that will bring on the field goal unit well that's the thing you have to be nervous about when you're third and long down in your own territory not trying to force something Raiders only rushing for dropping seven into coverage able to avoid the sack you get outside the pocket you see he scans the field real quick smart decision by Blake bortles as much as you want the touchdown as much as you want to try forcing that in there that's the smart play to make Jason Meyers from 37 yards out he was good from 23 and he's good from 37 1:49 to play three more on the board for the Jaguars it's 13-6 Raiders Stasi McGee has reappeared on the field 11:49 adjacent Meyer is set to kick it to the Raiders who will get the football with one timeout remaining here in the first half this is Jalen is chard he will not run this one back and the sucks back we'll start the Oakland Raiders at their own 25-yard line on October the 11th here in Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson chipped in to helping the relief efforts after Hurricane Mathieu he assisted employees of the Jacksonville electric authority that were working to restore power to homes with outages good for you it's great to see new to the community new to the team he's playing outstanding on the field and nice to seem confirming the community as well got a little windy in these parts 149 to play you live down the road so you know that right car close it down whoa and throws to the sideline and that's complete and out of bounds at about the 30 is Michael Crabtree mr. reminder coming up on the Verizon halftime report Jamie and the guys back in New York with scores and highlights and a preview Thursday Night Football on the NFL Network all coming up on the Verizon halftime report we've seen a lot of Michael Crabtree and not so much of a mari cooper in the first half well in that that says a lot about Jalen Ramsey and you know even though Derek Carr said we want to you don't want to go at him too much because of the plays that he can make you also right now you're eliminating Temari cooper from the game just because the ability to Jalen Ramsey to shut him down [Applause] that pass over the middle and that's complete to latavius Murray and Murray has the first down out to about the 37th Bob continues to move with a minute and a half well on the Raiders still have to one timeout you have to remember they have one of the biggest legs in the National Football League in janakowski also so you can get to about the 45 you're giving janakowski a shot Cooper just one catch for four yards today Crabtree's five catches for 32 and that pass over the middle bottled and dropped incomplete in and out of the hands of latavius Murray stops the clock with 108 I apologize did you hear me again about you you talked earlier about me taking the air out of the booth when that ball hits up home in the middle as soon as he seen this that ball tipped up in the middle of the field and I took my breath away I know we have an emergency personnel standing by outside the quarterback you this you just holding your breath when you see that happen so I'm just glad you don't screen right I almost did that time on 2nd and 10 20 of time for car he throws that's complete at across the 40 to the 42 is latavius Murray who held on that time it'll be third down clock continues to move fifty seconds to play he needs the 47 for a first down graders with one timeout soft cover it's on the outside car going to go deep [Applause] inside the ten yard line to Crabtree 25 seconds on the clock and car wants everybody to line of scrimmage and now the timeout is called by the reader when the Raider has called a timeout here but from where I'm sitting I wonder if that ball ended up hitting the ground it looked like he made the kiss from here and he rolled over but when he goes to roll over he has the ball in his hands it'll be interesting to see if it makes contact with the ground comes down he's babalu nope he's secured it against his body see it move a little bit as he rolled over but right before he goes to the ground watch how he tucks it up against and secures it with his body you see there there's no bobble he hasn't secured I thought maybe from all the way up here in the booth the ball hit the ground it doesn't hit the ground it's actually on top of his chest so when he rolls over there's no ability for that ball to contact the ground and even though it was wobbling once it came out he finished the catch and by the way pretty nice throw by Derek Carr 56 yards on the play that's the third time today Oakland has had a play of 25 or more yards Paul it's Derek's car ability to extend the play and then his arm strength once he gets outside the pocket first and goal from the tube Oakland is out of timeouts Carr gonna throw four it looks right throws left it is hot but not about cept Roberts pulled it down in the very corner of the endzone has the ability to catch it there puts it high gets the one foot not able to get the second foot down second and goal with 20 seconds to play well Watson Derek Carr he came out he want he was looking to the right to Cooper up top one-on-one with Ramsey but didn't like the look of it the jam that was taking place it came to the backside [Applause] the middle and now throwback of the end zone Amari Cooper and a flag is down in the back of the endzone could have been the Cooper went out of bounds in the back of the endzone and then came back in and touched it or zippering with the bus no fouls and offensive holding as the ball is already may have been drugged that's delegate Supriya you see supering has has his hands on Cooper but the official put the put the flag away third and goal Paul Khloe puts that touchdown Michael Crabtree with the kind of first half he has had that's only fitting and we have touchdown ruling on the field and the officials are now looking at both Crabtree and derrick karr and Jeff Triplett talking well that's what they've been attacking all day is that Crabtree Amukamara combo after the score unsportsmanlike conduct number 15 on the offense first leg at 15-yard filling the assist on the kickoff and that foul is the first of the tight and you qualify for a disqualification so Crabtree guilty in the endzone after the touchdown pass from Derek Carr Crabtree now seven catches 90 yards in a touchdown here just stims him to the outside gets across his face Janikowski is extra point is good and with 11 seconds to play in the first half oakland bumps its lead to 22 6 there's a reason for the penalty current watch says he throws it up in the air immediately goes with his right hand to the throat that's what's called as a throat slash I don't necessarily see a throat slyness I just seen with his arm up around his neck very subtle but the officials were in place and that's the colonnades marquise lead from inside his own 10-yard line and gets cut down as he crosses the 25-yard line well I guess if there's one kicker in the league it's not gonna be affected by Janikowski 15-yard penalty he's like okay I guess I'll just kick it to the goal line so you know even if it even if it's just a hint of a throat slash it makes no sense to put yourself in Terrell they have another penalty called against you and that's an automatic ejection another personal foul penalty yes and I'd like I said I didn't see a throat slice I saw him after he flipped the ball into the air yes his hand came near his throat I didn't necessarily see a slice but that's that's what they called and you're right Greg he goes counts against him as that two unsportsmanlike ejection so Crabtree has got to be careful careful what he does the rest of the game so Jacksonville with a terrific drive in a field goal and then the Raiders come back in a hurry 22 six is the score we go down to Jamie coach Blake bortles five of 14 what has been your been your biggest hindrance on offense well you know we came out with about five minutes left in the second quarter change it change the tempo went no huddle got down there had a couple opportunities in the red zone we got to turn those into more points the Raiders have had a handful of explosive plays how do you keep those in touch well that like that big one right there third and medium trying to get out the field give our offense one more shot played aggressive but we got to stay on top has some turnovers kept them out of the end zone but too many explosive plays thank you all right Jamie thank you thank you coach we come to the end of the first half Raiders lead at twenty to six back with the Verizon halftime report after this message and a word from your local station you're watching the NFL on CBS so far today they've proven that out Blake bortles struggling to get anything going down the field or underneath you can see they've been able to establish somewhat of a run game but they haven't been able to carry that over and get some complimentary offense with the pass game marques lien with the opening kickoff and his time on his feet across the thirty cross to the 35 yard line [Applause] so a 35-yard return just to bring you back who are you loving connection is Derek Carr - Crabtree for the touchdown well Michael Crabtree haven't had a big first half seven catches 90 yards in a touchdown he was able to take advantage of the match up with the Amukamara because Jalen Ramsey has been following Amari Cooper all over the field Cooper only with the one catch for four yards in the first half but Crabtree having a big day bortles trying to find something to jumpstart this offense on the roll he looked cheap throws and he's got his man and that is out of bounds at about the 44 43 yard line let's go back to that Michael Crabtree touchdown catch there's more to it than just again well he ends up getting the 15 yarder for the the throat / you can see right there he goes to the throat he doesn't slash but then there's another angle that's where the penalty comes in is later I still don't see the throat slash from the second angle we'll take a look at it after this play the Jaguars are going to an up-tempo offense had some success with it toward the end of the first half so they want to stick with the sideline pass is complete to mark Easley [Applause] here's one last look a different angle you see him go to the throat the first time he doesn't get the penalty there it's the second time where he goes to the throat I still don't see a slash but he has it up near his throat and he kept it there for a while and you can see the other players coming in to try and protect him but you know the bottom line question is why do it at all exactly and that's why the officials threw it there they're going to be sensitive to that and rightfully so and the Crabtree has to be careful moving forward quick pass to the near side and that's Alan Hinds and [Applause] and as we mention up in the first half a second personal foul of that nature and Crabtree is ejected and that's why he has to be careful you know he's the guy that likes to get he's very into games and likes to talk and you know really gets in the flow of the game so he has to be careful the rest the way up but I like what the Jaguars you're doing offensively here not to overlook it we had to clear that up from the first half but go into this up-tempo offense getting bortles into some rhythm here and this is Chris Ivory and that will go for little or nothing maybe a yard second down Darius Latham and Khalil makkac Leo Mack we have not mentioned his name at all today hasn't been much of a factor in the Raiders with the defense that they run they drop him into cover it's quite a bit you would think a guy that had 15 sacks a year ago would do nothing but come off the edge but he's required in this defense to drop back in coverage sometimes and so far today they've been able to take care of portals running straight ahead and close to the 25-yard line he's gonna be marked down at the 26 attacking me by Malcolm Smith and when I say they've been able to take care of it it's Kelvin beats him that's been able to take care of it over there at the left tackle Gordo's having good success running the football in the first half 32 yards rushing at this point 34 throwing it too hard and through the arms of Chris Ivery [Applause] I thought maybe this was that gray area where they go for it on fourth down but they're bringing out the the kicking unit I asked you that question in the first half and you said points on the board are really important right now points on the border are crucial but right now but so is momentum this isn't in this isn't into the red zone technically it's not into the end into the red zone because you have to be across the 20 in the first half ten guards are inside the twenty three times one interception no touchdowns to field goals Myers from 44 yards out and it is good and as Gus Bradley told us going into the halftime they have to start converting these drives into touchdowns 22:9 Raider Jacksonville with the field goal the Raiders with the lead 22 9 12 11 to play here in the third as Jason Myers get set to kick it away to jail and Rashard [Music] and this one will not be returned a bullets out of the end zone we go down to Jamie Greg I just learned a powerful lesson talking to Jack Del Rio coming out of the half go+ first with him he gave me some grief when I asked about Amari Cooper it's just two targets he said why don't we talk to you about Michael Crabtree now for Cooper he said it's fine that extra attention is being paid for him for Crabtree he feels like he's on fire I did ask coach whether or not he had to say anything - Crabtree about that potential second personal foul he said no he's a veteran he can handle himself back to school with Jamie Thank You Jamie [Applause] from the 25-yard line [Applause] car flips it out on your shot and across the 30 to the 31 is Amari Cooper Cooper a week ago had 117 receiving yards in the first half this week it was Crabtree in the first half as we have a player down on the field and we will check on him and take a timeout and come back to Jacksonville in just a moment [Applause] back in Jacksonville second and four for Oakland the readers at their own put one [Applause] and this is latavius Murray and Murray with running room looks to be enough for the first down as he crosses the 35 the injury as we took a timeout was to Roy Miller the eight-year veteran defensive tackle out of Texas and he's right in the middle of your screen they're looking at it the back of his leg and you can see nobody landed or kicked him in the back of the leg but he was trying to drive forward and just went down coming up on eleven minutes to play in the third first down for the Raiders from their own 36 and car to throw and out of bounds at the 40s ting you earlier about what's happening with Amari Cooper today well the first half he was only targeted one time you'll see coming up here the one cats that he has just a drag route underneath for only four or five yards they got into the ball early here in the second half but they had to line him up in the backfield and throw a swing route to him so give the advantage to jail in Ramsey so far today taking Cooper completely out of the game but the luxury the Raiders have is having Crabtree on the other side he's got seven catches 90 yards in a touchdown so nice luxury for the Raiders on second down therefore Maria's he's brought down Shore to the 40-yard line Avery Jones leading the charge so if you're the quarterback if you're Derek Carr are you feeling that that Michael Crabtree is your hot guy for the day so far and he's the one you're going to start to look for most well it's not only the hot guy but it's the motto right now Crabtree is being guarded by Lou Kamara everywhere on the field because Jalen Ramsey is following he goes so if you know that's your match if you can find and take advantage of that right now he's over in the right slot here but watch Walford on the outside big cushion here with Cyprian rolling didn't complete coming up short she set the Roberts twit on Jamie for the Jaguars he just went to the locker room with a right Achilles injury he is questionable to return he came off the field very gingerly and with a lot of help we'll keep track Thank You Jamie Greg going back to that last play we haven't talked a lot about Dante Fowler Jr except for the negative plays that he had to relined up in neutral position twice got five-yard penalty that time putting the pressure on Derek Carr he wanted to push the ball up the field extend it try and get the first down but Fowler put the pressure in forcing an accurate throw Rashad Greene drifting back inside his five and is gonna field it and run it back [Applause] but not very far to about the six yard line Johnny Olsen with the special teams play for the Oakland Raiders and bortles will start deep in his own territory when we come back well sun shining on everyone and everything except the Jacksonville Jaguars at the moment 9:25 to play in the 3rd and the Jags have to start from their own 7 yard line TJ Yeldon behind him Yeldon the play fake to him and the pass across the 20 yard line in and out of the arm of his intended receiver Allen Robinson and you can hear that thud off his pads all the way up here you got to catch that with your hands not let it into your body Robinson here's the two big receivers you see one catch for five yards Hearns two for 25 Robinson should definitely have two after that last one bounced off his chest we were mortal started the day completing two of his first 10 passes for 8 yards and a picks in today he's completed 6 out of 9 for 82 yards and it's changed when they've gone to this up-tempo not necessarily a two-minute tempo but at a no-huddle tempo quick fast to mark Easley on the near side that's not going to get much at all maybe a yard and the fans are restless Carl Joseph coming up to make the stop well the Raiders know that secondary is a work in progress carl joseph the first round pick out of west virginia but you bring in free aids in shawn smith and reggie nelson put them together with david Amerson they know there's going to be some growing pains so that's why there wasn't a lot of panic about them being the 32nd ranked defense thirty second ranked pass defense coming into today because they felt like it was just a matter of time before they all get connected portals looking to make something happen here on third down as time now then run it out of there but cut down from behind and we have a marker down in the backfield DJ Hayden making the tackle this is gonna go against the Jaguars holding number 89 I'll fats that penalty is declined for that holding penalty is on the tight end Racine he's Luis [Applause] Chrissy DJ Haden he's on the right slot he comes off the edge and it's pretty clear right there the holding call by Luis [Applause] kaylynn Rashard is deep as northland get such pick it out of his end zone and the shark from his own 36 and a great open field tackle just as he crossed the 40-yard line by Arthur Brown 807 to play in the third we're back to Jacksonville after this [Applause] some traveling Raider fans seen their Raiders take a 22-9 lead here 15 excuse me 43 DeAndre Washington in the backfield play fake to him are looking pulls it down during shorter and incomplete off their hands of Seth Roberts did you see him you seem winded up be pouring through it the center Roberts he was gonna throw it try throwing another deep ball - Crabtree working down the right sideline he had success with it right before the half he thought about it but they saw the safety coming over the top prevented him oh maybe not I think you saw the safety right at the last second decide to come underneath - Roberts good defensive play knocking it away by the way defensive lineman Roy Miller will not return today with that Achilles recorded second and ten car on the keeper and out of bounds will be marked out at Apopka 42 yard-line order mind you tomorrow on CBS Matt LeBlanc returns to television in the new comedy man with a plan don't miss the premiere tomorrow after Kevin can wait right here on CBS third and nine big third down for the Jacksonville Jaguars trying to get the ball back tournament by 11 decent field position and a sustained offensive drive with hope well the Raider six of 11 on third down so they've had some success on third down over the middle and drabs at midfield my Amari Cooper flag in the backfield holding in the cemani offense 10-yard Hillary and repeat they're down that's on the left guard collection yo simile I know this catch is going to be overturned as we as we take a look at the whole was Leslie coming up the minute you see the arm just hook around and grab him that was an incredible catch by Cooper we haven't talked about Cooper much they Jalen Ramsey has been all over him throughout the entire game see his simile still arguing his case it's over with the otter boom foot to the next one other credit cuts by Cooper we talked about his hands laughs here have an 818 drops this year only two drops Ramsey was all over on that plane and was over to bring it in third and 19 now to pass to the outside overthrew chef Robert go back to that Amari Cooper grab what's this ball from the car comes in high and with heat Cooper just work it to the inside he gets down past the sticks a little spin move or pivot move to the inside wide circle goes up and snatches this ball Ramsey is all over that shoulder is able to rip the left arm and yet Cooper's still able to bring it down that's that's it's nice to catch that you're gonna see now Rashad Greene who hasn't had the best of afternoons fielding punch is inside his own 15 [Applause] penalty marker down before the snap and this looks like it'll go against Oakland folks start number 91 offense five-yard penalty it's still fourth down we talked a little bit Gregg in the first half about how a penalty can cost you and the Jaguars they're down there they would have had first and goal but the holding penalty moved it back they didn't get it on third down how to settle for a field goal here the holding penalty Raiders would have had it first down in Jaguars territory now setting a holding penalty now an illegal procedure now of a sudden you're flipping the field unless king can get off a big 65 70 yard punt it's going to increase the the field position for the Jaguars 70 yards worth of penalties against the Raiders so far this afternoon King gets it away this is greed [Applause] we have a penalty marker down as - shake tackler and looks like they'll make it as far as about the 23 yard line the flag is on the far side of the field yeah far side of the field that either means somebody ran out of bounds and didn't run back in bounds or they're gonna get a holding call over there [Applause] during the kick holding number 12 on the receiving team after distance to the goal first down well we don't see a number 12 on the roster scope we'll just go for the best guess a Saturday on the same field it's one of college football's biggest rivalries Florida taking on Georgia the SEC on at 2:30 Eastern side with the CBS college football special and college football today there is Jack Del Rio and he will have a special interest in that game his son Luke the quarterback at Florida and after Jacksonville drives have begun after own seven in their own 6-yard line game Yeldon not much there Luke Del Rio it's really unusual truck that he's not exactly following in his dad's linebacker footsteps in it you have it he's big for a quarterback he can throw it all over the field a couple couple nice plays we saw right there and got a couple sons playing football myself I know it's a it's a different thing when you're sitting up and stands watching your own son and Jack shared those same feelings and you sit up there you're out of control but it's a lot of fun mortals far side of the field and out of bounds is TJ Yeldon meanwhile hi I asked Jack well you know when you're watching your son is it as part coaching part daddy goes no no it's all Dan all dad is as much as you want to you know be involved and you just have to sit back and it's you know let them enjoy their journey and support them and yeah it's fun stuff though excited about getting a chance to watch it third and four for bortles and the Jaguars what do they need a first down here comes the Blitz and he goes down at the five and that is Khalil Mack [Applause] we hadn't talked about him a lot but coming off the side there he just beat Jeremy Parnell flat-footed I don't know if Parnell thought he was going to have help because he had a tight end to his outside that's a second straight three and out for the Jacksonville offense and once again Jalen Rashard is deep but short from the 48 yard line Rashard navigates his way inside the 40 to the Jacksonville 37 derrick karr was in a great field position and a 22-9 lead [Applause] well they're trying to figure things out on the Jacksonville sideline and it has not been an easy puzzle to solve today when we talk about flipping the field Jaguars were set up and then that putting they pushed him back inside the five they didn't get a first down so now all of a sudden the Raiders start in Jaguars side of the field for 45 to play on the third the flag [Applause] newt rezoning practicin number 75 up retching defense five-yard penalty still first down the penalty is on Jared Audrey may be the first to know your team's news with the CBS sports app get instant updates expert analysis highlights and more download the CBS sports app today first and five ah call any sense and this is Washington and Beyond Rey Washington appears to have enough for a first down at the 26 [Applause] and that's going to be a big advantage for the Raiders moving forward if they can find some balance so far today 159 past c99 rushing having that type of balance takes the pressure off Derek Carr in the passing game while their runners are healthy with the exception of Taiwan Jones who's sitting this one out with a with a knee injury today but Murray the Andre Washington olá wall aged Jalen Rashard all active available in doing well on the end around here's Holton and Holton again but he'll only make it as far as the 30-yard line Kelvin Smith and pathes Leslie converging for the stop Craig that one didn't work as well as the one they ran in the first half they went back to it hoping to get another big play pause Leslie stopped it and arrested the D they're ready to finish it off how many times would you run the same play more than one string again not very often yeah not very often if you did you tried to do it our different personnel group or a different formation just that so you didn't see the similarities from a defensive standpoint defense has long memory this second and 14 [Applause] are and off the fingertips of his intended receiver DeAndre Washington another drop [Applause] and a little pushing and shoving between the 30 and the 35 yard line doesn't amount to anything well as Austin Howard and Malik Jackson they were having a little John going on on the last series it looks like it's carried over to this series so that's a 330 pounder against a 300-pounder well yeah remember Malik was with Denver last year so denver played the raiders a couple times and some sir this goes back to what i said one morning Florida back in your long memories that's a third and 14 bar quick pass to the outside and that'll make it as far as the 26 yard line on brave homes with the reception and that'll bring on Janikowski Sebastian Janikowski will line this one up from let's see 44 yards out well he's made everything this season under 50 yards so not a whole lot of wind here today [Applause] that kick on the way looks good is good so 228 to play in the third twenty three to nine hope when we go down to Jamie Greg this week Raiders owner Mark Davis was in Las Vegas when the Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval signed the stadium deal worth 1.9 billion dollars he also had a comment quote Oakland was in the drivers seats if they could have put anything together but they came up with nothing Las Vegas has already done what it's going to do we have to bring it up to the NFL and get permission to move to Las Vegas when we spoke to the team yesterday the best they could tell us was this team is actively pursuing a permanent stadium option in Vegas now keep in mind the Raiders do have a we want first and second year option to stay at the Oakland Coliseum now that is their option to make that decision but at this point that's a really fluid situation for the Raiders right Jamie thank you and Roger Goodell confirmed that there has been no activity on the Oakland side thing and it's that you know that's a real struggle when you consider that what the Raiders have done in Oakland in terms of support the the number of ticket sales just right now there's inadequate from a stadium standpoint and trying to repair the stadium there in the fact that they're sharing it with baseball there's so many things going on there too to try and get that rectified it looks like for all intents and purposes they'll be heading to Vegas Mark Easley will let that one go through being his own and they'll start from the 25-yard line let's take a look at the quarterbacks and how they've done well these two third-year quarterbacks had a lot of hype coming into this game they've both performed at high levels a year ago Derek Carr has continued that play Blake bortles as you can see under 50% struggling some today as he struggled throughout the years he's trying to find that consistency and the Jaguar has found some of that consistency when they were going with the no huddle at the end of the half and coming out in the second half but the last two possessions starting inside their 10-yard line they just haven't gotten anything going running out of time here in this game I know we're still in the third quarter but have to get something going here gotta give credit this Raiders defense came up very beat-up coming into today but performing well the egg Chris Ivory in the backfield is mortal gonna throw a little pump fake and now have to shovel pass it scoop Chris Ivery I know Trent just had a heart attack I did I just about fell out of my chair I did I uh you know that's one of those ones you're trying to make a play you can see it's looking out to his left gives it gives a quick shoulder roll because he's trying to take a big chunk but the Raiders had dropped back into a cover two they had everything all yet who was your underneath throw that ball with the underhand flip Barry Brett Farve ish but a little bit big I'm question being a game alert yes gain of three second and seven and Yeldon across the 30 [Applause] and the fans want to see a little more offensive action third and five as we hit the one and a half minute mark here in the third and now we look penalty marker thrown and we're gonna talk about it on this side of the field well they threw it on the Raiders side of the field so I don't know if something was said something I said after the play is over let's pour smell like Conda number 11 offense that's easily downtown and remains heard is filmy third down in the 15 yard heavily considering when that flag came in I mean the Raiders were in the process of changing personnel two guys came on the field two guys were running off the field the official didn't through it was on the exact was on the opposite side of the field so I don't know it must have been something that he said maybe yelled it across from one huddle to the other and Lee comes off the field and gets to talking to meanwhile bortles looking at a third in 20 quick pass over the middle and that's grabbed by Rashad Greene that's not gonna not going to accomplish much at all let's go back to that little incident on the field marquis lee is still hot so right here that's Lee he gets hit up in the face he must have retaliated but when the flag was thrown was significantly after that taking place because the ball had been spotted the Raiders were in the middle of a personnel change and then the flag came in greater defense forces another three and out and meanwhile this is Rashard and Rashard break free to the 30 markers down at both ends of the field as he's brought down at the Jacksonville 20 and officials are waving everyone back to the other end as you said Gregg penalties on both ends of the field but they're running down to this other end so maybe they think both of them are against the Raiders cuz well we have a full conference going on at the 40 and now here's Jeff Triplett there are two fouls on the play holding number 32 the return team during the return that penalty is declined holding return team number 91 that literally happened during the kick the foul will be administered from the end of ten yards first down so penalties on Antonio Hamilton and Shalika Calhoun and with 17 seconds left here in the third quarter the Raiders will start right about there 28 yard line you see that right there there's Calhoun that had to have been the penalty on him taking him to the taking him to the ground Oakland ate penalties for 80 yards so 17 seconds to play here in the third what's up and Paul will give it to Latinas Murray and Murray made in the yard at most brought down by miles Jack and it would appear they will let the clock run out here in the third with the score Oakland 23 in Jacksonville 9 will come back to Jacksonville after this message and a word from your local station you are watching the NFL on CBS [Music] [Music] along with our producer Jim Rick off our director Suzanne Smith Greg Gumbel Trent Green Jamie her doll on the rest of our CBS Sports crew here in Jacksonville as we start the fourth Raiders second and ten at their own 28 yard line [Applause] to pass out here in the flat complete to Rashard and Rashard to about the 28 yard line pop continues to move in the second half with Oakland went flat partly due to all penalties they were committing yeah did any if you look at Jacksonville just over 200 yards for the game the Raiders coming in giving giving up 445 yards per game last the National Football League give a lot of credit to the Raiders defense the way they've been able to shut down especially the passing attack of the Jacksonville Jaguar third and ten and the Jaguars announce start stopping drives over the middle that smoothly to set Roberts and Roberts out of bounds and we have a flag down in the backfield Malik Jackson having a conversation with Jeff Triplett personal foul unnecessary roughness roughing the passer number 19 of the defense it is Malik Jackson [Applause] that's kind of like a schoolyard dad I don't think that's a penalty I it's not like you took a couple steps he took one step is usually the players override scores for like Honda number nine he abused his language towards an official 15 yards on a 90 first down so Malik Jackson gets a another foul tacked on good thing good thing is he didn't make contact with him that would have been a whole nother issue it could it could have gone for that trick so just a few moments ago the Jaguars were looking for a big stop on third down back here in enemy territory now it's a first down at the 42 for Oakland [Applause] I thought we're getting another flag there he was he was this point catch with the flag yeah he's gonna playing catch he's like here you go go find your owner that's right [Applause] the past far side of the field that's Amari Cooper and Cooper for not much he advances to the 41 we go back to New York Cape I like that Tony bringing up the old days there yeah a little connection [Applause] if Tony knows that we have to watch those highlights every week at our production meeting I've forced everybody to watch it right [Applause] car would be give to a shark and that was going to be stopped at about the 40 yard line we conduct under 13 minutes to play here in the fourth quarter and another third down for the Jaguars well Greg I've been I've been impressed with the way the Raiders have responded after last week's game against Kansas City a tough division game at home in the rain conditions the way they were and in Kansas City for the most part beat them up up and down the field they ran the ball very effectively Alex Smith played well but the Raiders came out here with an attitude you know what we had a bad game we're not gonna read too much into it we want to come out before while we know we're playing on the other coast and they're gonna try and continue to here on third home when I said another third down for the Jaguars I'm in a big defensive stop for them let's see if they can pull it off hard throwing inside of the field it is complete and it looks to be maybe a yard or two short of a first down but Wilson up for Sebastian Janikowski to come off the bench to see Rams 3 with the catch yes you'll see Ramsey coming off the edge here it'll be from our right cars left doesn't give him time to set his feet and throw it as a backpedal and float it out there crabs are able to bring it in but knocked out of bounds by Gibson preventing the first down and setting up a long field goal for janakowski Sebastian Janikowski has the four field goal for 50 or more yards this one from 52 on its way accurate as all get-out and room to spare eleven and a half to play in the fourth three more on the board for the Raiders they lead at 26 nine well after Sebastian Janikowski kicked the field goal Malik Jackson continued up his personal attacks on the officials and Jeff triplets gonna reiterate from Jacksonville his actions qualified for a disqualification to another unsportsmanlike conduct Hall on Malik Jackson his second and by rule he's gone for the day and leaves his team in the lurch yeah he must have said something there was nothing that went on during the play we've looked it back at a number of replays as he was leaving the field he must have said something to an official that caused the the cause the unsportsmanlike and two of those types of unsportsmanlike is an automatic ejection short kick and this is marques Lee and Lee brings it back to about the 13 yard line [Applause] this was after the field goal and Jackson had to be separated from a couple of the Raiders and then he said something on his way off the field that got him ejected well you have to remember Malik Jackson coming over from the Denver Broncos there's a history with the Raiders and the fact that he had the penalty earlier on the unnecessary roughness against Derek Carr and then when he said what he did to the official to do the extra 15 yards so been a frustrating day all the way around for Malik Jackson meanwhile Jacksonville the last three drives three three and outs on a total of -4 yard Borden on the swing and that's good out to the 25 yard line to mark he's lead for a first down home as crazy as this sounds great there's still plenty of time Jacksonville down 17 two touchdowns and a field goal so if they can get something going here on this drive try and get some points I know it's a little far festival and offensively but there's still a chance for Jacksonville if they can get something going Warners pulls it down now throws and that's complete out to about the 35 to Mercedes Lewis one of the things that I think you'll hear from if things don't turn around here in the fourth quarter I think you'll hear coach Bradley freely admitted we shot ourselves in the foot yeah we talked about the the number of penalties that the Raiders have had but the penalties that Jaguars have had have had more of an impact in defense if that's it's hard to describe but that one bortles was lucky fell incomplete it's it's cost the Jaguars more on the penalties whereas the Raider is the only penalty I could think it was the one pass interference they gave that big game field position the rest of their penalties haven't haven't been as costly as the Jaguars penalties very similar you can see the numbers the yards those things but just to keep drives alive keep drives extended convert 1/3 down those kinds of think that's where it's been costly production second and 10 or he'll stumping up gonna run and slides down as he crosses the 40 about the 42 and now a late flag comes in and another one is in the backfield maybe offsetting it's going to be a personal foul hit on the sliding quarterback and it looks like holding in the backfield Malcolm Smith being the the Raider that hit bortles as he was sliding bortles on the run up the middle and there's the flag throw him by triple it at the end suza quarterback starts the slide he's giving himself up there are two fouls on the play holding number 16 the offense first a foul Necessary Roughness defends those penalties by Rule offset replay second down well it's only fitting since they each had eight penalties for about 90 yards or so that they got big penalties there so I'm gonna kind of get home I'm gonna get an allergic to the color yellow so we'll replay second intent [Applause] borders with time and throws and that's complete to Alan Robinson who makes the catch of the ball thrown just a little bit behind it you may think I'm crazy Greg with this much time left in the game but this is for down territory they've got it they don't make it here they've got to go for it and so far today on third down they're only 2 of 10 so the Raiders have been doing a good job getting to getting the Jaguars off the field [Applause] portal and through behind his intended receiver coming across the field Allen Hurns and the punting unit is going to come on as we rewind you Thursday on CBS the Big Bang Theory moves to its new night leading a parade of premiers starting with the new comedy the Great Indoors followed by mom and life in pieces it's comedies big night Thursday only CBS so I know you're all in favor of going for it on fourth down here yeah I think at this point timing down 17 it's you're running out of time but have you seen any reason any spark that gives you an idea that the Jaguars could convert and that's probably what what Gus Bradley is thinking because they're you know bortles had an open receiver that either would have gotten the first down or made it fourth and sword and just wasn't accurate that ball returned across the 32 about the 33 yard line by Jalen rashard 921 to play here in the board beautiful look at downtown Jacksonville Florida on a beautiful day everything but the way the Jaguars have come out and played in front of their fans they trail 26 9 with 921 to play here in the fourth [Applause] Raiders didn't do everything they can drag sorry about that we're looking to everything innokenty just keep this clock rolling I'll start with latavius Murray okay you had some keys to the game when we started off today how are you doing well on this thumbs up the way the game is going the defense has paid dividends for the Raiders they've done very well holding the Jaguar so far to 228 yards their car having a nice day coming back bouncing back after last week's performance pressure car Jaguars have zero sacks against their car today and eliminate the drops they've continued the drops another problem for the Jaguars all five on second and three [Applause] see if car wants to keep the clock moving another ground game shot and he does that's going nowhere buried it's a 35 by Paul Paz loves me we have a player injured on the play he's gonna be alright may your weekend a reminder starts on Thursday when these Jacksonville Jaguars visit the Tennessee Titans only on NFL be an AFC South Division matchup and Colette Rios Emily is being helped off the field 110 total combined yards for these two teams in the second half 96 combined penalty yards I don't mean I'm just over here shaking my head Greg that's a that's a crazy stat I've done [Applause] number 76 John Feliciano has moved into the left guard spot for the Raiders [Applause] third and seven [Applause] car got rid of it and the tackle is made back at the 32 yard line of latavius Murray by Calvin Smith so the Jaguars get a stop and they'll get the football back well that's as best as what the the defense could have done at that point Tom get a three now get them off the field but for the Raiders keep the clock moving use up a couple minutes of time Rashad Greene back at his own ten and you'll be able to return this one they'll take it at the 11 and gets nowhere 7:15 to play in the fourth there is work to do if you're Jacksonville rushing yards per game passing the arts per game total yards per game the Raider defend the bottom three in the league in all three categories but they have taken a giant step forward today and have shackled Blake bortles and the Jacksonville offense that pass over the middle is complete so Allen turned and no time to waste the Jaguars will come right to the offensive line call the Raiders are content with that let them throw underneath all you want keep them in bounds let the clock keep moving burns three catches for 38 yards on the afternoon bortles pulls it down now throws and in and out of the hands at the 45-yard line of Alan Robinson well that's the second big drop of the day for Alan Robinson he had a curl route earlier that would have picked up a first down this time this time he tries using his hands as opposed to the last one when it clangs off these shoulder pads just dropped it [Applause] four dropped passes today it's not a trend you want to continue as you see what they've done the last couple weeks as well portals can look this way and hit his man Allen Hurns and that's to about the 37 yard line walk continues to move six and a half to play [Applause] clearly the duo for Oakland Crabtree and Cooper have had a better day than the duo for the Jacksonville Jaguars 33 and that can correlate to the quarterbacks as well it's bortles is played better here in the second half but that one is complete for first down and then some across the 45 marques Lee hasn't worked down as he goes down at the 46 [Applause] continue this up tempo at some point time they're gonna have to try and get a big chunk though we have a penalty marker on the offside oh that's your time that's your time to take this out you know you got them offside go ahead and throw a jump ball down the field yep Bruce Irvin jumped on the far side and and Blake bortles just grounded it there are two fouls on the play offside defense in surrounding the area [Music] [Applause] you know Blake bortles is showing a little anger and you got to think it's moored himself then been at the officials yeah I don't I mean it's a spike he's you know I can understand well bortles is thinking it's an unimpeded defender so the whistle should have been blown when somebody jumps offsides and they don't move and you have a defender that's I mean there's a they're supposed to call the whistle when when a guy jumps offsides and it's you know unimpeded to the quarterback so I understand where bortles is coming from it that's the cooking whoa whoa what happens to the tree play wellthat so I'm saying so the whistle wasn't blown because they usually when you have him and as I said an unimpeded defender coming towards the quarterback that's going to get a free hit no blow the whistle just to stop it but he didn't hear the whistle blown so he's sitting as Mike did the way that he did but little Matt could have had a had a blow up shot there so we get more whistles [Applause] reset the game clock to 539 well you can see Blake is still discussing back there thank you 17 penalties in all [Applause] so bortles looks at second and ten Knutson complete 32 well trying to set up the screen there you know the defensive if you're the defensive line you're this it's a track meet at that point time you know they're gonna throw every down so Jaguars starting to set up a screen knowing that the defenders are gonna be coming up field but they were able to get there before before the bat could get his head around Yeldon was trying to work out into position for that screenplay but bortles just had to throw it too early and another incompletion [Applause] mortals with time and that's complete over the middle this is marques Lee and Lee out of bounds inside the Oakland 35 [Applause] [Music] you think it's fun playing quarterback watch this you got a slide over you know you're gonna take a shot and you got to step in and Chile Calhoun you know you're gonna take it right to the right to the ribs and you know you're the only one that said it's fun I know how does like man well rest of that part that part isn't fun bortles throwing in this side of the field and overthrows Allen Hurns that'll stop the clock 503 while we have a moment week 7 continues later today on CBS and for some of you on Fox and then tonight with Sunday Night Football on NBC and tune in tomorrow for Monday Night Football on ESPN bortles on 2nd and 10 steps up gets get and goes down and we get a penalty marker Denis co-authoring made the tech loading number 68 offense 10-yard penalty we paint second down if this was a restaurant that you say put it on the tab well it's as tough as it is from an offensive standpoint you know every play is going to be a pass the offensive linemen have the have the pressure you can see the hold right there on Beecham against Irving coming in off that set the left side let's throw some flags everybody in the building knows it's going to be a pass so both start number 68 offense five-yard penalty still second down that's two in a row for Beecham you know Trenholm sure it's a combination of two things but either the we talked about some of the qualities of this Jacksonville offense at the very top of the day that hasn't shown through and we also talked about how bad statistically the Raider defense was and that obviously isn't true well that's why Jack Del Rio told us he said don't get caught up in the numbers and what's going on what cats made here the 20th still on his feet inside the ten-yard it really has been and it'll be first and goal and that was what hasn't happened all day a big play ivory had a big run in the first half there was a earlier throw that Lee caught that he extended and made into a big reception but this time been catching it right in traffic Raiders defensively haven't given up that big play that's what Del Rio talked to us about he said not giving up the big plays that's what has made those numbers so lopsided he feels mortals and the slant slapped right back in his face second and goal CJ Niko Autry got up and got his hands up and blocked the past second and goal for 17 on the clock long bortles who's going out to Allen Robinson on the slant up again samisen on the right side he love him play of a drive in which they have not run the ball this won't go into the endzone and the flag is down as the catch is made by Julius Thomas that we have a penalty on the far side of the pier this mean it's like going to be against the Raiders I have no idea how Malcolm Smith didn't come up with that interception I think Julius Thomas just jumped over the top defense number 91 and lined up in the neutral zone that penalty is declined result of the players touchdown I think Julius Thomas has reached over the top of Malcolm Smith and yanked it away from him this is going to be underthrown Smith is in position watch this he reaches over the top and just Yanks it away from him Wow incredible play by Julius Thomas as soon as that ball was released I said this is underthrown him I'm thinking it's it's an easy easy interception credit to Thomas for just yanking that away from Smith nine yards on the touchdown and Jason Meyers for the extra point and it is good so for 12 to play Jacksonville moves to lit in 10 at 26 16 [Music] we're back in Jacksonville Oakland leading at 2616 with 412 onside kick or no trip I don't think so it looks like they're lining up for it I'd go ahead and puts it down inside the 20 and and we're gonna reset the clock I'm go ahead and boots it down inside the 20 and the Raiders only have 31 yards on offense Oh Oakland is gonna take a timeout here and talk about it why wouldn't you why wouldn't you get too soon I wouldn't yeah but you have all three timeouts right you need two possessions in two scores so it's different if you only have one possession at one score you need Raiders haven't done anything the second half too many penalties 31 yards of total offense in the second half go ahead and put you down in there inside inside the 10 yard line especially now the Raiders have all their guys up anticipating an onside kick go ahead and kick it down there go down and make the tackle try and get a three and out use your timeouts up try and get that score and then and then you got plenty of time trying to get the ball back Oakland has managed just three first downs here in the second half Jacksonville by the way over their last seven on onside kick and they're gonna try it and that ball bounces out of bounds and a penalty marker of course the kickoff goes out of bounds and it'll belong to the Raiders the percentage of recovering an onside kick is so low when you need to scores at that part of it I don't obviously everybody's her own philosophies that's just that's just the way I'm thinking your defenses played well in the second half and you got all your timeouts now you're giving the Raiders position where they can move you know ten yards and set up a janakowski field goal and use up time and use up time kicked off out of mountains kicking team it takes a mole at the spot of the foul here the conversations going on downstairs let's go back and take a look at it well what the Jaguars sideline is yelling is that the Raiders tipped the ball at the end of this watch how Cooper swats it out of bounds he jumped from inbounds midair hit it and landed out of bounds and the conversation goes on well just going back to so now let's say they go ten yards to get the in position they get the field warning and gets the 13 and you say well it's still two possessions well the difference is instead of needing a touchdown interview both now listen you need to touchdown so I think that field position makes a big difference I've always thought one of the great approaches to an onside kick is to kick it really hard right at a big guy yeah yeah they have had some success with that in the past he right especially if they have them all lined up in that front row though [Applause] this is latavius Murray and the turkey the Maria stood up at about the 47 of willingly the screening saves lives by the way in the NFL in the American Cancer Society encourage everyone to join in the fight against breast cancer learn more about a crucial catch day on Tuesday and find out how you can help make a crucial caption nfl.com slash pink Jacksonville uses a timeout here to stop the clock with 354 to play [Applause] well just when the Jacksonville Jaguars were beginning to feel good about themselves with a to game win streak this has been just a total hitting the wall well and especially offensively I think the defense has to feel fairly good about what they were able to do specially here in the second half they've done a nice job if you look at Jacksonville set up with a couple of the turnovers early on Derek Carr with a big play right at the end of the half rolling outside the pocket on a third and five hit Crabtree on a big play to set up a set up a touchdown right before the half so just offensively until that last strive really hadn't done once all day [Music] [Applause] the Oakland Raiders have their next game at Tampa so they're going to spend the week here in the state of Florida second and eight this is latavius Murray again and again not very much there they're marking down about the 45 and it'll be third down and another timeout Jacksonville uses its second [Applause] so the team will retreat to Sarasota for the week rather than fly all the way back across the country and then all the way back on Friday or Saturday yeah that's a lot of flying that's that's a good choice by the Raiders to do that it and a lot of the players and coaches have brought their families across country to to spend the week out here yeah Derek Carr was delighted that he was talking to us about his his wife and two little ones have made the trip third and seven [Applause] and derrick karr calls timeout [Applause] so on first down they called the timeout [Applause] this is feeling a lot like an extension of the inevitable [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and it feels like 349 has been on the clock before ever with with penalties coming in on pretty much every play here in the second half it feels like third and seven [Applause] [Music] false start number 61 offense five-yard penalty still third down it's the center Rodney Hudson Trent there's three 49 on the clock I don't even know what to say to that we were just talking about penalties it was like oh gosh we got to 2020 accepted penalties right there's a lot of times they're been to penalties on one play where they you know they just wave it off offsetting and go and you will recognize the officiating crew in the airport they're the ones with their arms in a sling third and 12 the thing is it's not on them it's on the players they're the one they're the ones making the penalties and it's not the officials don't wanna throw $20 this is separates and Robert and know where to going he has smothered Fort progress will be a Jacksonville 47 and pushing and shoving and a little fighting breaks out at about the 40 yard line well this would just be crazy if if it's against Jacksonville and gives gives the Raiders a first down because this is what they're trying to do they're trying to use their timeouts get the ball back not put them in janakowski field goal range 343 to go if they get it back go down get a drive push from behind after the play is over let Necessary Roughness number 70 pave us Prentis 72 is the unnecessary roughness a 15-yard penalty it'll still be forced down and there is no charge time out to Jackson Hill well that's just Jeff Triplett being nice well yeah and that's the thing they get they get the penalty so now it's the extra 15 yards and you know king is having an unbelievable day pawnee five punts he's averaging 55 yards a punt four of the five punts have been inside the 20 so he's been doing a tremendous job and flipping the field position but for the Raiders just a costly mistake by Donald Penn I know he was coming to assimilate it coming to back him up because he was into a shoving mats with in Galway and and Dante Fowler but poor decision on pins part at the the wrong time of the game ten penalties for a hundred yards for the Oakland Raiders [Applause] and Marquette team gonna run with it he's got a shot in the first now he has a first down and out of bounds inside the 40 and another fight breaking out at about the 25 yard line and I'm gonna find Marquette King on 4th and 24 that ball was skipped back to him I know all this fight and stuff's going on Iowa talk about that I won't talk about Market King the ball skipped back to him and it looks like he's going to be it looks like he's going to either get it blocked or get tackled he runs around to the outside and he can run everybody is down field that the two guys for Jacksonville are down field the two returners and the coverage guy nobody recognized outside the pocket he runs for 28 29 30 yards down the sideline incredible athleticism on Kings Park and recognizing what was going on understanding the situation whatever happens with these penalties is going to be after the play was over officially a 27 yard pickup still a lot still a lot of things had to take place for Jacksonville but that but that sealed the game right there Marquette King his athleticism and decision-making after the play is over that's personal correction personal foul fighting number 20 of Jacksonville number 16 of Oakland both players actions disqualify themselves from the game so 16 for Oakland is Johnny and Holton the wide receiver in 24 Jacksonville is the rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey well Rams in and Malik Jackson both for the Jaguars ejected today and Johnny Holton is gone for the reader marquette king in one play had as many yards if not more yards than the Raiders have the entire second half right in that right under they only had 31 yards and then they lost yards with penalties so I mean it's 27 yards rushing correct me if I'm wrong but by your tone you seem to misunderstand these putters I don't misunderstand the punters and just a lot of times they they don't they don't understand the game management and where and the fact that he was able to recognize hey I may get this block because of the skip punt I'm giving them more of an opportunity to come in here so knowing the situation getting to the outside and having the athleticism to pick up that first down that was a game changer latavius Murray as I said with a 10 point game there was a lot of things that still had to go right for Jacksonville but with close to four minutes three minutes and 40 seconds left they had time to go down and get a touchdown they had time to get an extra point it's uh I can't say enough about the decision the King made you know Jacksonville has used its third and final timeout to stop the clock with three and a half to play there weren't a penalty on that one you know what no penalty on that one night yeah not yeah maybe the guys how they're given water we'll say something and [Applause] see if he can get a die against hot New England Marie almost broke free on the right side tripped up by two Sean Gibson I'm putting the tally on my mark on my on my sheet right here Greg that's two plays in a row no penalties you love to tempt fate don't work our way towards three minutes to play see Blake bortles area is contemplating what's going on here against Oakland then I got to go on the road for two weeks at Tennessee and Afghans of cities are going to lock this one sideline and it is by Amari Cooper and he will be marked out of bounds at the nine Italy first and goal well in Jilin Ramsey had been covering Cooper all day one on one but after just being ejected that put Devon house on him you can't say that was the cover it's house was right in his hip pocket incredible throw and placement and concentration by Cooper to hold that in although if you don't turn and look for the ball your chances of knocking it down are slim you know get me that be an unbelievable interception every kid see without miraculous first and goal Marie and Marie to the five to the end zone touchdown well the Raiders are glad to have latavius Murray back missed a couple games because of injury three touchdowns rushing on the season even though missing those couple games two more rushing touchdowns again today the turf toe seems to be okay seems to be doing all right and that tends to bring the crowd rising to its feet and heading for the exits Janikowski for the extra point on its way and perfect and with 2:35 and there's a penalty marker down offsides on Jacksonville a couple guys jump you had to say something today yeah I had to say I know they made three plays in a row though I made three in a row offside defense number 25 and find our pin or meet assist on the kickoff the point after is good if this was baseball Jeff Triplett would not be available tomorrow to come out of the bullpen is what the Raiders have coming up Tampa and then Denver when their bye week before they take on Houston Carolina and Buffalo how about that they're going to be a home for over a month yeah staying here in Florida for two weeks or 10 days play Tampa Bay but then huge division Matt's up against Denver who they're tied in the division lead with and then the bye week and then three more home games so well scheduling quark this year and the Raiders have done extremely well on the road so far this season they win here they'll be four and all away from home well the other thing is the the team's west traveling east that's a different time zone kick-off so the one o'clock kickoff was 10:00 a.m. for their 10:00 a.m. for the Raiders their their time I think he's gonna kick this one through the end zone be returned they can't they can't use that excuse next week though Tampa since their that since they're hanging out here for the weakness meanwhile Jacksonville traveling look at the road look at the road work in front of the Jaguars to Tennessee to shinza City home to Houston and then on the road to Detroit in Buffalo so for the next five that Tennessee one coming on a short week you see there on Thursday Night Football did the long trips bother you that much as a player not too much not too much it was you generally had enough time it was when you had that that Monday night game late and then getting home traveling across country that it would have some effect on the following week mark Easley over the middle for a first down out to the 43 yard line [Applause] [Music] and Porter is the four-man rush he gets flushed from the pocket penalty marker is down and the past is complete and out of bounds at the 35 yard line is lead once again okay holding beat 68 offense 10-yard penalty still first down yeah Khalil Mack on him you know you kind of wonder how often how often does it happen when the theme of both film sessions on both sides of the field will be penalties the morning after that game is just underway awaiting that one that pass on any flat to Chris Ivery and he is brought down before not much you will love this Trent that 27 yard run by Marquette King the longest by an NFL punter since 2010 Reggie Hodges of the Browns ran lien for 62 yards punter on 168 yards yeah how about that portals over the middle and a penalty was he not triple covered he had a couple guys over the top and most of them were raiders pass interference number 53 defense following Peyton spot of the foul first down the penalty on Malcolm Smith here's a look at the quarterbacks today hasn't been that hasn't been the prettiest day bortles a lot of his yards and completions I know most of his completions coming in the second half a lot of the arts coming here in the end of the fourth quarter as they make the comeback and car very productive in the first half and really the Raiders haven't needed a whole lot in the second half Evan but have you been here leaders put up portals scooped it out to Chris Ivery in felon complete an even Crabtree the first half seven catches 90 yards in a touchdown but in the second half one catch for six yards Jack Del Rio spent nine seasons here in Jacksonville went to the playoffs in two of those years as head cooked and that is picked off picked off by Reggie Nelson Nelson still on his feet now two miles in about the 30-yard line well the way this ball bounced around kind of convincing hortas day yeah that ball didn't hit the ground and Robinson went down low to try and get it and with Shawn Smith in his hip pocket got his hands on it but I thought maybe it had skipped across the ground before it bounced up to Nelson but clearly on that replay he got it Nelson's second interception of the season [Applause] three Jacksonville turnovers on the day what 239 penalty yards today maybe maybe it's us great see that game underneath there that 230 that's good that's where we were last week was it and it just so happens this guy was too but like I said it's not about the officials they got a call what's going on on the field I mean we could sit here and say all we want about but they both teams they were clear penalties that that they were being thrown so the Oakland Raiders now five and to their best start after seven games since the 2001 season when they began the season six and one final seconds tipped down [Music] Jacksonville Falls to two and four while the Raiders come out with a 33 216 win coming up next it's the Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers stay tuned for that for trend for Jamie for all of us here in Jacksonville Greg Gumbel saying so long from EverBank Field you've been watching the NFL on CBS [Music]
