Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
NVIDIA's gonna sell every single 4070 FE they can make. I expect at least one board partner to slap a 3.5 slot triple fan cooler on here for a 3% speed boost and a $150 markup.
okay. this is "midrange" now. the card sucks even at 1440p. lol.
Remember when the 3070 released it was at a spitting distance of the rtx 2080 ti? The only proper word to describe this card is "embarrassing".
The fact that its starts to lose ground already at 1440p compared to last gen cards is comical.
This is a $600 1440p card that is starting to run into bus limitations at its intended resolution....
Although i guess its at least less comical than the $800 4070ti running into bus bottlenecks at 1440p.
Well, at least the power consumption is good. 3080-ish performance for 3060 Ti power. Shame about the price.
The 1080p numbers really dont matter than much imo, this is much more of a 1440p card for sure. But then the 6950XT is close in price and beats it considerably AND it has more VRAM. Probably only worth it if you really want RT and DLSS (+FG).
Nevertheless its probably the best price/performance card released this generation so very small yay i guess?
Wait, it's slower than a 6800XT?
Someone is another thread said that the process node tripled to cost of the die, so all of these cards are expensive to make. But if that's the case, why is the 4090 and the 4080 their own things? It appears that the 4070 is a cut down version of the 4070ti? What do they do with all the imperfect 4080s? I have a feeling we're going to get a refresh in the year with like 4070 "super" being a cut down 4080.
But who am I kidding. My budget for my next card is like $250. The 4050 is probably going to be more than that
I'd rather get an Intel arc a770 16gb for 1440p gaming at half the price
