hey everyone I've been getting a lot of love and appreciation for my Normandy build over on Reddit and I've been getting some requests to come over and make a YouTube video on it so I feel like when I go ahead and do just that this is going to be the Normandy build this is what it's going to look like when it's finally done this ship is strong and it is Fast and the best thing about it is that you can actually build it with zero uh points and piloting because it's all a Class A reactor in parts and you can use you don't have to have any points into chip design in order to build this with the exception of the engines which you might need one point into it but the engines do really add to the look but they aren't necessary for the build and I'll show you a replacement you can use until you have the required points and the level to actually access them I found them I didn't find them at level 15 when I just first started the build but I did find them now again when I was making the video around level 27. so with that first things first let's get some things out of the way this ship again works best as a Class A Ship it's fast it's strong and it gets the job done as say either fighter or cruiser roll you can upgrade it to class B reactor when you have the points and the money available but all you really need to do is upgrade the ships or the Shields and the weapons anything else and it's not totally necessary the thing is that when you upgrade too many parts it actually increases the the mass which decreases the performance I'll get into that in a little bit if you want to upgrade the engines into the same type but into a Class B engine it actually makes a slip ship slower it has a lower Mass Max Speed due to the increased Mass keep in mind this ship is very much an early game ship so you can use it at level zero ostensibly and it kicks after the game I haven't lost this fight since but you might want to upgrade it around level 25. the ship I first built it in new Atlantis and then we'll go to Aquila City to finalize a few more pieces then to tighten and then finally to um uh actually yeah that's it and then type the design isn't 100 accurate to Mass Effect mower it's nearly impossible to get many aspects of the Normandy just right limitations in the size this is the top view normally Normandy will be about three times longer in its main body um compared to this but because we're limited to 80 meters max length this is the best we can do I added some structure Flair like Thruster arrays and windows to increase star field immersion more than Mass Effect accuracy um the have modules need to be placed in a very specific order otherwise they won't connect correctly and you'll see what I mean if you try to do it yourself so just try to follow along when I place the halves as best you can otherwise you'll have weird connections all over the place balancing the ships jump range Mobility mass and its cargo space has been a huge limitation um so I tried to make the ship functional as possible but also peeling so with that let's go ahead and get underway let's go ahead and land in Atlanta City our new Atlantis exactly how to build this work done go ahead hey technician what can I do for you okay no problem this is what it's going to look like when it's all done notice the specs par is 20. don't actually know what that means whole is 520 Shield is 405. Cargo is 430 the max crew size of four a jump range of 220 light years 100 mobility and a top speed of 150. and the mass is 737. now someone keep in mind if you want to add your own parts and pieces go ahead feel free make it your own but Mass should not exceed around 940 otherwise you'll start noticing a significant uh decline in Mobility jump range and top speed but you have from going from this point you have about 200 Mass to play with so this is what the ship's gonna look like when you finish but go ahead let's start with the frontier everyone should probably hopefully start with this ship I have about a hundred and ten thousand credits I don't actually think this is gonna be enough to complete the build um you'll probably want around 150 but I'll show you how to build it um uh with hopefully enough cash so you go ahead and delete everything in this ship we're going to reuse a lot of pieces to save money but first we're going to use the pieces we need me first so go ahead let's start with the bay go ahead and use the ng6 landing Bay that the ship comes with it won't be the final Landing Bay we use but it's going to be the one we use for now then go ahead and find the reactor I like to use the 134 mm toroidal reactor because it has a low mass but a 20 power generated you can if you wanted to use the uh 360t Stella radar reactor it has more hole strength it also has more reactor Health with a high repair rate but again it has a little bit more mass then go ahead and let's go find our cargo go ahead and select the 10 or a 100 cm ballast cargo hold again this is free because it comes with the uh the frontier and that's going to be our first layer the ship is divided into three layers for the main body and then the four engine ones for the 200 rings for engines go ahead and let's start with the halves again place these very carefully exactly as I show so first we're going to start with the armory in the back I like to go about this um kind of I like to think of how would I like the ship to be when I enter it right when I get to the ship or when I leave the ship the Armory should be you know the first thing or the last thing you do when you get out because you want to stock up load up Lock and Load where you exit the ship so I have that there and then we're going to want the living quarters in front of that and we're going to want the control station right behind the cockpit because that just makes sense um we'll just use we're going to use the Magellan megalan c1x cockpit it has the most cargo then we're going to go back into our halves we're going to use the Captain's Quarters and the layer above it and it's going to stick right on top like that and then in front of the Captain's Quarters is actually going to be the birth of one hand you can use the birth one a or the birth one or the two by one a or you can use a two by one b contrary to what you might think the living quarters isn't actually where they live it's more of like a eating area The Galley if you will the all-in-one birth is what I find actually it looks like more sleeping quarters then let's go ahead and go to our grab drives I recommend the Helios 300 grab drive you actually don't need ah yeah I mean you don't necessarily need it but it has the highest jump thrust while still being a Class A reactor and above that we're going to put a Docker now this isn't going to look right but again this is just the first stop in the build so far along I'm gonna put the docker right there it's not going to be there and that's not going to be the docker we use but there are parts we need in other star yards other ship ports that we can't find here so we're gonna need to make the ship flyable with the cheapest parts available until we get them the other parts then let's go ahead and go to our Shields the shields we are going to be using is going to be the mardok 1010a shield generator let's kind of plop on anything you want I like to keep it here this is where I like to put it but it's up to you and then here is where we have most of the cool stuff now this is what the ship base is going to look like pretty much uh the final version it doesn't look like much until we add a lot of the structures go ahead and find the demos Wing a port go ahead and plop that down right there there's going to be a space here you can use a window there if you want I like to use Thruster arrays but it's up to you go ahead and plop the win a port backside go ahead and duplicate it flip it now this whole build is symmetrical so if you do something to one side go ahead and do it to the other go ahead and put the starboard one on the starboard side now go ahead and find the the most windy now use the second variant the AFT variant where the kind of curvature inward is going to be towards the back end of the ship you can put right behind actually we're going to put it back here for now it will go right behind but that's in the finalized version we have some things we need to do before that go ahead and duplicate that flip it put it right there then go ahead go down find the Nova cowling 1ltf go ahead and flip it around to the APT and put it right on top of the grab drive at the back of the third layer of the halves go ahead and go down find the Nova cowling 1l PF I'm going to stick that right there again duplicate it flip it boom and let me see if I remember go ahead and duplicate it again um or you can't duplicate it or if you want to if you see more visually go ahead and select the third variant of the still Lenovo cowling one LPA pop it right behind it's not where it's going to be in the final version but for now that's where it's going to be again everything here is selectable go ahead and find the Nova Cali 2 ltf go ahead and plop it at the very front of the ship now under the same one go ahead and set the second variant it's the middle version still the 2ltm for middle so I put it right there now you're going to see the shape is coming along so let's go ahead and add our gears our landing gears we're going to use these obviously these aren't going to be the ones we use but for now the ship flies on so we can get to Aquila City oops now I think we're gonna need four legs so go ahead and do the front go ahead and do the background they should all be free because it was part of the frontier build now go ahead and find engines because we need this thing to fly in the city then we'll sell these engines the ones we use are the white Earth 2020s you can tell it's the one we started with because on the value side you see the Plus go ahead and stick those in the back oh new fuel okay for the fuel tank unfortunately we won't have space for it the one that we started with so go ahead and buy the M10 Ulysses H3 tank it's this nice ugly thing and go ahead just put it somewhere on the top we're going to sell it later they were not quite done yet so back to structures these are things we're going to need later go ahead and find your Deimos wing e-ports go ahead and flip it or sorry I'll use the second variant so that the curvature downward is towards the front where I need four of these so go ahead and just plop those in the available spaces that we have one two it over three four now for these empty spaces here what I like to use just for immersion you can use Windows if you want I like to use here I like to use the Nova Thruster arrays just because I like seeing the thrusters go off when you try to do minute movements in your ships like turning it around flipping it things like that go ahead and pop my both sides or you can use Windows if you want down here I put them down here too you'll actually have to use them these are all aesthetic and with that we're all done with Atlanta Atlantis new Atlantis this is what it should look like I hope I didn't go too fast but you can rewind and pause I'm going to go ahead and exit confirm and there it is we're going to fly this ugly bad boy out of here to Aquila City now again this can be done at level zero so no actual story missions need to be completed uh no faction missions need to be completed in order to ah here we go this is what the inside will look like see the Armory as soon as you get in you get an Armory or it seems more get out you guys know already I'm actually gonna get a gun you load up on your ammo and then you can head out also I like the Nova Galactic armories because it has the mannequins and plenty of weapon racks for all your weapons this is what the inside is going to look like this is the living quarters as you can see there's not actually any beds there's one but the beds are kind of scattered all over a nice table for them to eat there's the control room that's the cockpit and then you want to go up the ladder if you put the docker exactly where I said the ladder will lead into the berth the all-in-one berth your smells so that way you have your own door nice little privacy area for you and your baby boo okay is all for you go ahead and close the door when you leave my attention drop down and let's get out of here [Music] skip the animation I can go over to Cheyenne to Aquila City now you can actually use whatever Hab you want um you don't have to use Armory of course you don't have to use the Captain's Quarters feel free to use whatever you want but if you want that layout where the doors aren't the ladders are make sure you place them very carefully because the game is very weird with it go ahead and go over talk to the technician oh game please don't crash anything I can help you with oh please don't crash okay go ahead and we'll finalize the rest of the ship oh destruction ah did I fly the wrong out of here or out of any way like this that's all right they all look the same inside but this is what it's gonna be go ahead and sell the docker sell the engines sell the tank and sell the landing gears everything else we'll use go ahead and move these over move the starboard ones to the port side contrary to the menu it'll report to the starboard side go ahead and move the demo swing D's from the back of the ship to the middle behind the other wings all right move the lower cowlings right there and there let's go ahead and get to structure go down until you find the Stroud engine bracer a go ahead and put that on Layer Two back to back we need four of these again everything's so much better and on top of that go find your field types find the m30 Ulysses H3 tank h83 tank to get anything go ahead and fill in the gaps m30 Ulysses helium 3 tanks let's try slow down there's a shroud engine bracer A's on the side of the ship while we're here let's go ahead and find the docker we're going to use the connect pro Docker top putting the same exact spot the other one was right there all right are you spazzing okay that's fine let's go ahead and finish up the look go ahead and find the Stroud uh the tabs under structure find the Stroud cowling 1lapt this is the first variant of the Stroud cowling piece put that on the front bit under the same one use the second variant with the stripe put that right behind it go ahead and copy that over again everything symmetrical this one has four bearings when you try to flip it so make sure you get it the right one in front of those we're gonna have these Stroud caps and spread above or three or four above put it right there again duplicate it over now here's where it gets interesting so if you have um if you're high enough level and you have a point into ship design you can use the sa4110 engines if you don't have it until you reach the requirements to hit this you can go ahead and use the nm3 engines it doesn't look great or are the same but it'll get the job done right below the engines go ahead and find your landing gears we're going to use the acculander 11 landing gears again opposite for what it says this is the port landing gear but we're going to put it on the starboard side under the engines same thing Accu Atlanta the vacuolander 11 landing gears starboard side under the port engine and we're going to copy the Stroud cowling one lapt um this is the one without the stripe we're gonna put that right next to the ladder it connects right to that again copy go down right behind that we're going to copy the engine put it right there both sides and then in the top of that we're going to copy the front portion tip thingies put them there we go you can see things are really coming along we're gonna move These Wings which are actually weapon mounts we're gonna put them inside this is a inside part of these straw caps oops wrong there this one's a little tricky you'll kind of see them right there now we're kind of all done this is this is the build this is the ship uh these noise the crew says too because we actually don't have any weapons so as soon as we put weapons on um the crew will jump and so for the weapons what I like to use are the tb30 electron beams these can be used at level zero they don't require any points to anything and they're very strong Oops why is down there so the reason why these are very strong is because right here because they do a lot of damage to hole and shields you can use the auto version but I don't prefer it simply because you need to a charge gauge and then that charge will decrease as you shoot it'll shoot faster but the charge will decrease as you shoot because after you've shot for about 10 seconds then you'll have zero charge left and so you start shooting a really slow boom boom boom rather than a continuous if you use the the normal versions the speed is dependent on how many um how many uh points you put into the the weapon system now go ahead and put these weapons on the inside mounts of the Winds oops nope side mounts of the Wings and you're 99.9 done now again if you do have the allocated points your engines should look like this these are a bit tricky because they have like eight variants and it looks a lot cooler a lot more accurate in fact I found these engines on a Scarab spacer Scarab too which is what gave me the idea of this build in the first place now the only thing you're missing is a front mount what's wrong ah weapon assigned group with that we're 99 on the only thing you're missing is the front landing gear although you don't technically need it um I think it looks better and that's it so we're going to accept where's that where's the door there it is and there's the ship now the last part you need for the ship I'm going to take some damage for O2 here hopefully that doesn't annoy you with the sound uh the trog the Trek this log okay and then inside the ship should look hopefully the way the other one did you tell Cora we're back go in yep you see the Armory back here hello and that's it we're actually going to for the final landing gear we're going to go to the soul system go to Jupiter where is it there it is go ahead and go to Titan this is United Colony space maintain current course while we scan for Contraband and go ahead and go to new Homestead for lesson go ahead and talk to this guy right here sure how about it and the last piece you need is the ng20 landing gear in the front but at the very tip of the last tab you can put it here if you want but it looks kind of funky let's put it there uh yeah and with that you're all done I actually did have enough money for it all except without the correct engines the total it shouldn't cost you more than 150 000. and that's the enormity now if you want to use direct the colors I did here's the color system you'll have to kind of play around with it um here's what it's going to look like at the end we'll do a quick spin around so you can color with this information I'm just going to keep in mind on the actual Normandy this is actually very little blue trim a lot of it is actually black and white so try to keep the blues to a minimum three colors this ship is consisted of not all the colors are in the same position so here you'll see the color three is blue but here uh there is no blue in this one so go ahead and just play around with it the black I use is the preset black the white I use is a full complete white as wide as you can go the blue I use is this full saturation and the brightness should be about right under the the Hue the Hue and the brightness should be about the same and the marker for the Hue is about between the C and the O under color three and that's the ship again if you want to upgrade this to a class B ship you know you can do that play around with it make it your own go nuts thanks for watching so something's actually forgot when doing this build this is actually I forgot to change this out um The nz6 Landing bait but looking at it now it actually doesn't look too bad it's kind of Slender kind of kind of fits in but the one I actually use on the one I have here is the uh is the one two zero LD Landing Bay demos which is actually available in new Atlantis I totally didn't realize and forgot so either one looks good I mean if you want to compare this is what this one looks like colored in um it's nice and it's a little wider it has those lights has a little more coloring into it versus this one it's a little more slender kind of fits in more It lines up well with the these little angled prongs of the reactor so either one will work up to you I'm actually having second thoughts about using the other one versus the ng6 and it'll save you some money and something else I've got to mention is actually if you want to originally go out of here if you want to add increased cabin space you want to make the the Normandy feel a little bigger one of my earlier bills actually had more halves and I'll show you where now it doesn't look quite right um simply because it kind of messes with the the wing silhouette I'll show you why if I go ahead and go back to Aquila City because we actually need Stroud pieces Stroud Eckland um I am caring too much we want Stroud Eckland parks and we're going to actually add a halves into the engine room now it'll it'll change up the aesthetic a little because you won't have that blue stripe um and you'll get rid of one of the the side wings uh connecting the the engine Wing to the main body ship but you will have a little more space it does feel a little bigger on the inside and it just kind of helps with the um the immersion or the I guess the accuracy of the Normandy um is that it has a bunch of um different rooms now again this is totally optional I've seen people when they make their modifications they add a bunch more weapons on the front tip they added weapons on the land they ignition weapons around so you know just just do whatever you want to make it your own copy this exactly you don't it's all the same just as long as you have fun right if you want to load up on a bunch of weapons go ahead and do it uh dead air all right computer is a potato in modern standards it was really good three years ago but now it's uh it's struggling a bit so we'll go ahead and talk to this technician again I'll show you really quick the video is already long enough hey what can I do sure how about it so what you can do if you are feeling up for it delete these two engine bracers delete the two Stroud cowings and here you can input a hub hap ahead and find the two by one Stroud halves where I miss it there it is now I think on one of my builds I had the infirmary over in here and then I have the captains or not the captain I have the engineer Workshop that way I can you know have all my crafting benches and it looks really pretty if you go over here and add windows parking leadership out in space and I'm looking at the windows in these side modules it's actually very very fun now again it doesn't mess up the silhouette a little bit right oh because you need to have a one by one Hab now I like to use the or the Companion Way you want to continue any connected it so you actually get to it so you'll notice it doesn't mess up the I don't know mess up three word but it does change the silhouette a little bit if you wanted to also you can add windows on the back end here um but it does allow you to have more space for more stuff right if you want your research or crafting benches you can do this or if you want you can just replace the Halton here for more from like living quarters to actual functional use stuff but that's just an option you can do and of course you actually don't even need I think I don't think you need two um two engines or two two fuel tanks right you'll see the um the jump range actually didn't change however why did Mobility increase why is the mobility engines I am learning something new here interesting so the engines does the term Mobility I did not know that oh my goodness hold on interesting okay well you'll have 75 Mobility with this build with the other uh the other engines you'll have full Mobility um I don't know the actual functional difference between 75 and 100 Mobility but to more is always better what happens if you replace these interesting I am learning new stuff anyway that is um all I wanted to add thanks
