[Music] California West Coast rap icon yes the legendary Snoop Dog has 19 Studio albums and sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide Snoop also has a distinctive love for cars with the ction overflowing with vintage Classics to sleet modern whips all right y'all I'm here at my Uncle snoops compound you see the Vets you see the fast cars you see the old schools and of course one of my favorite old schools the Steeler mobile the 67 caddy right here but what rapper you know has his own freaking football bus yeah nah it's not just because Snoop is a Steelers fan he's a Steelers coach yeah Snoop has his own youth football league and we going to chop it up with up to hear all about it let's get it so just chopping it up with my a right here and you just telling me man like you got the pass to do your whole league yeah and it's cats that started as kids rode on that bus right there that are now professional NFLs yeah that's crazy that that bus right there housed some of the kids that's in the NFL and when they were babies they all ride together and listen to music and buy out before the game and then I see them in the NFL doing the same thing in the locker rooms now they provid for their family yeah I'm pretty sure they got a bus like they got a bus too yeah got to have it Each one teach one that's what it's all about for the community game together absolutely now I appreciate you whipping it up with us I know we we we in the comfortable drip right now yeah we dripping now dri all the all the cars we you probably you the one that got me on the low riders Like Loving car culture we about to jump in something that you wouldn't expect to see Snoop Dogg right my baby right here it's the getaway mobile my baby right here she's all Whitey then all Whitey there yeah so so so tell me about the BMW man why why we choosing this one to ride in cuz the BMW is lowkey as nobody would expect me to be in it and I got that nice interior in there and it's behind it's behind some beautiful tent and the music ain't too loud it's like whenever I check my music if I'm working on the album it's not too loud it's not just like the right sound so I can get a real perspective on what I'm doing cool let's ride let's chop it up let's [Music] roll when it comes to hip-hop being something like being a legend being a OG one of the greats like you you definitely on the mount Rush more hip-hop uh and especially for the West Coast when you see what's going on in music today what's your opinion on it I think that music has grown tremendously and I think that the sound of it is what the era is right you know when we made music we based our music off of things that we heard from the 70s 60s right because that was like our inspiration so now when you listen you hear a lot of the rappers and producers that are taking Styles and sounds from the '90s right because that's the the area that they were raised up in but I think that overall it's misunderstood like we were misunderstood right they didn't just love me out the back they just didn't understand me after the fact you dealt with a bunch of controversies so it's like you know I I take it on when I see the the youngsters that dope they got to deal with is he going to be here tomorrow is he a one hitter quitter yeah like you hot right now holl at me a 5 years right you got to make music that can stand a test the time and be hot no matter if you ain't hot or not I got music out that's hot and I ain't even hot right now you know what I'm saying I'm on a song with Lil du allall right yeah yeah number one record that's his song but he says it's our song yeah because he know they give him credibility exactly and then at the same time it's like okay that's a great song that adds to my resume yeah cuz now it's like they associate that song with me yeah and you done did that several times over yes sir so you remember the first time ever having you know riding along and hearing your song on the radio in the back seat one of my homies cars I didn't have no car yeah so you know rid in the back seat going somewhere still you know not there yet right hearing that [ __ ] was like [ __ ] I'm a star but I ain't right cuz I ain't got no money right what song was it it was it 187 it was G thing g g thing yeah dang that's crazy I didn't get no money to about um doggy style right and then was the first car you bought off after doggy style Jeep Jeep Cherokee yeah the Jeep Cherokee black and gold Jeep Cherokee I put some dating and voges on oh I put dating and voges on the nck cuz I was like you know what I always dreamed of having DS invol so naturally the first car I got I was like I'm going put some dates on it sh was like [ __ ] you don't put no dating je Jer [ __ ] I'm like [ __ ] I don't give a [ __ ] [ __ ] I'm Long Beach [ __ ] I put it on there [ __ ] low as [ __ ] [ __ ] was low to theor always had eight or n [ __ ] in the car you get your first car you pick up everybody everybody what y'all doing I'm going to come get you nigg be sitting on [ __ ] laps you know what I'm saying but that's that was the love of of the love was when I got my car I it was our car yeah that's really what the C is all about I mean obviously growing up out here on the West Coast Car culture is everything and then you mixed it with the sports so why why the Steelers what is it about the Steelers that well you know when I was in a kid in the 70s Nick they was the team to watch you know what I'm saying they was Mean Joe Green and bunt Rocky BL and all those guys so it's like that to me was like it stuck to me as a kid I'm a big old kid to this day so a lot of things I like as a kid I still love as an adult like I still watch Good Times what's you know what I'm saying like I can't I can't miss it I mean it is what it is so it's like that stayed in me the kid in me you know what I'm saying so the Steelers was my favorite team as a kid they was my favorite team as a teenager so then once I became you know successful I started meeting the real Steelers and start becoming a part of the real organization to where it was like you know what this is more than just a fan this is like I'm really a part of the steer Nation right and then the fact that you put your own thing together with your own football league how' you come up with that concept for the kids well my son was playing in a league that really wasn't catered to the inner city so what I wanted to do was try to find a way to help out the inner city and the only way that I could was to create a league so I created a league with a bunch of volunteers and coaches and ex gang members and parents and people that just wanted to do something different in the community and we structured the Snoop you football league in 2005 and we got 12 kids in the NFL we have 100 in division one we expecting to put out three or four this year to the NFL and we have over 100 in high school about to graduate in the next two years so we doing our part we have a road scholar we have some lawyers some doctors police officers a lot of different kind of kids that come out of my league and with us being able to get into their lives you know what I'm saying from a different perspective you've always been one for the community why is the community so important to Snoop Dog I'm a big kid Nick so like I just love to have fun and I just love to be able to give fun like it ain't no fun if the homies can't have nothing and that's and that means more that's about the community that's what it means more than anything because you really don't care if you can't share yeah all your hard work paid off back to the community man the community it's rolling without me now they don't even need the Snoop you Football League don't even need me no [Music] more before when you first start talking about rolling down the window you know smoking in though it was illegal now it's a real business it is and you at the Forefront in it tell me about this cannabis entrepreneurship we got going this business of cannabis and marijuana is about to take over the whole globe so there has to be a tech side to it there has to be a side of it that no one's paying attention to that is more productive and more lucrative down the end the road of end of the road if you put your mind and soul into it so fact I attack it from that angle it's Savvy because it's like that's me learning how to you know really be a businessman to put a Su and tie on it and try to get this thing to another level because when they do Legalize It globally like they did with alcohol with the prohibition game I want to be like SE I want to be like one of them ones that stood tested time The Originators you know what I'm saying so let's start getting tech savvy and stop trying to just be rappers and trying to be you know the best entrepreneur exactly let's try to go be those guys that get all of the cake and know how to really use that mind State and use that power of thinking like we are because a lot of us are fortun 500 mind thinkers that are in the hood we just have to been given that job opportunity but we could take a business like selling drugs and make it a billion dollar operation then they shut it down and then they make it legal soag yeah so so imagine if you put one of those dealers that was the the the the boss back then in a position to run a business he going to have it all together and that's what I'm thinking about for the Youth because I'm going to train them to be thinkers facts is that something that's you always had or you like from from the streets or is that something like now you got your compound you got several businesses no it wasn't something always had Nick I ain't going to lie to you I was always the the the back seat driver or the shotgun or the I was always robbing to the backman you know what I'm saying like I was cool with being robing right right but then when they thrusted me into the role of superhero right then you got to take on the role of superhero and you have to learn how to be a superhero right you know I knew the job was dangerous when I took it that's why I didn't Overlook it you know what I'm saying I jump right on in there like this is what comes with it and then I started associating myself with people who were bosses whether it was the produc your friends and the H out what or the directors or the actors or you got to be a sponge and I was always taught to have people around you that was better than you I'm watching su's Boss mentality right I'm watching everybody around me that's bosses and I'm like I'm going to take a little bit of him him and him and him when I do finally become a boss and I'm going to do it this way right you always remain solid every time I see you it's love beautiful spirit how does one who come from the streets who probably the biggest known gang banger in the world be so beloved and so solid and so authentic that and don't keep no fakeness around you you know what it is [ __ ] I just I love the love man I feel like I come from an environment where like same environment you come from in Diego yeah where it's easy for you to get killed it's easy for you to get into some trouble but it's hard for you to hold a conversation yeah with a [ __ ] that's on the mission yeah it's hard for you to stop somebody from doing something with a conversation I always wanted to be that person right right to be the you know even when I was gang banging it would be like certain times where we'd be like ready to ride on some [ __ ] I'd be like why yeah like i' be the [ __ ] that ask why [ __ ] like [ __ ] what the [ __ ] is you talking about why [ __ ] like why cuz what did they do like then [ __ ] start thinking be like they ain't do nothing the [ __ ] and all of a sudden the car turn other way the car be like no we we can't do it right so I wanted to be that person for the world exactly because I felt like it was too many of us that was the anti like yeah [ __ ] it then I'm gonna be the yeah but at the same time as I maintain my authentic authentic you kept your gangster Ways by like voicing my opinion being the voice for the people doing certain things but as far as relationships and bonds with people when I love you I love you to the end and even if you cut me I still love you people don't know now to this day me and me and Sh still got a great relationship I love him right because all of what he did for me you know I'm saying how could I see that's solid right there where you can say I still love should we still got a great relationship man we talk on the phone often right you know from where he at you know what I'm saying I give him encouragement because CH it up with he actually down there thank you yeah appreciate the ride there it is whipped up dipped up and I'm high as [ __ ] as you for your flight for the [Music] flight he
