welcome to the lid lifter of NFL primetime I'm Chris Berman along with my compatriot for 11 years Tom Jackson 11 years and we needed some team speed let's face it we're a little slow Stuart Scott we certainly a little lackadaisical early on in the ball game but I think that this is the way that the bengals at least early on this season will win football games it will be blake throwing the pickins of Scott and Tony McGee and still waiting for Kijana Carter he's improving every single week getting back to that form a couple of years ago when they drafted him number one in the draft defensively because you get Dick LeBeau you don't get that Pittsburgh Steeler defense it's not as difficult to rush the passer out of that defense as it is to force the run and I think we saw that early on in the game today but Bingle's having a problem stopping the run well an entertaining division that AFC Central and the Bengals I think a little a little nervous but they get to win for Bruce Kozma there the ball but the ability to throw the ball as well today we saw him at his best and that is when Eddie George contributes yardage from the backfield so you create from down in distance situations where he can be very comfortable with keeping the defense off-balance I'm talking about McNair well McNair and George yeah a party at the big Fedora is that it one game there is too big the door we go inside the numbers how good was Eddie George where we told you 35 carries for 216 yards many of them impressive opening day it's the second best performance ever by a running back the history of the National Football League only OJ Simpson for 1973 at Twitter 50 yards to the bills against the Patriots that's the only opening day performance better than the one we saw from Eddie George [Music]
