NEW RV. NEW TIRES. FIRST DRIVE DAY. FIRST BOONDOCKERS WELCOME

all right we're getting things done we're just about ready so now uh we haven't been hooked up to sewer in the past couple days and so we're gonna not dry camp tonight but we're not gonna have sewer so i wanna make sure everything's completely empty and what's interesting is about 16 years ago i actually made a sewer pulley and um i'm gonna use it today for the very first time so would you mind getting under there and pulling that sewer for me [Music] i [Music] they say you can hear the sewer system i'm so happy yeah that's all we wanted was for you guys to love the bus as much as we do yeah and we [Music] i like it yeah yeah i don't think i like these towels saying this towel hang in here it feels a little claustrophobic yeah but i like it it's great i like that mirror that folds up like that isn't that cool yeah so if you're tall yeah angle it down angle it down so people can see and then the tub isn't that great a little higher no wait a little lower a little lower there you go and then the tub you walk down so you can be tall nice you should really start thinking about that for these rvs you know anyway okay you finish getting ready we got a big day yeah we do have we want to bring everyone up to speed very hard to blow dry your hair and humidity yeah well tell me about sweating oh my gosh okay bye by the way no puffing please oh my gosh what happened what happened did you see that was that water i hope was that gray water i don't hope where did it land in your eyes no right there not in your eye if it went in my eye don't worry i'll get this fixed i can't believe it it was it was so close it was that close i think i might remember that for the rest of my life i think you might i'm gonna do a walk around i'm gonna do it with caleb there's some more things i want to share with you but before we do that missy and bunny last night invited us over to their neighbor's house dick and jean and they have an unbelievably gorgeous house and the property is just as stunning and then he's got this train room down below which is something like i have never seen and so before we do our walk around to get out of here we just have to share with you our time with them last night so let's pop over there and i'll see you in a bit you can't eat that no no no [Music] you know hit the ball that's okay nobody's gonna sleep he's a kid nobody's gonna see i only yeah no no got a wet dog it's been five minutes wash ball we got a wet dog i don't know what else has happened we've arrived we're here now it's on the back porch right okay we're at dick and jeans fabulous home and we're having a little down home barbecue right that's what we're doing it's fifth of july we're having a fifth of july celebration now you just bought a travel trailer yes i did okay i've got a rockwood 26 coming yeah it's friday i can't wait i love it i love it and you've got it and you've got a 2021 f-250 f-250 sitting in the driveway just raring to go oh yeah it's uh it's going to be an adventure i love it and when where do you pick up the rv we're going into valdosta georgia okay because we're the only place we could find there's no inventory around oh yeah no kidding yeah have you rv before we had a coleman pop-up for 25 years oh you did okay so we but this is a little more luxury okay all right you know going out in the middle of night to the bathroom and stuff like that yeah this is a big change for us yeah and that truck is nice yes the truck is really super yeah well and then i also understand you've got trains down below i do do i have what is there a secret password to have us have you show us yes please [Music] spent three hours just on a little forest area putting everything but when i'm done everything is going to look like this with with you know with this much trees and everything oh wow oh wow look at that train though [Music] did you see this over here what are we looking at well i feel like i'm in new york city but where where where is this place hey dick everyone wants to know when the rv park is going to show up it's over here down the end yeah there is what is it heavy caleb it is this is so cool [Music] okay come on so here's the plan trish and caleb are going to follow in the subaru you're going to get some footage with the cannon then we'll get down to sos i actually ordered six toyo m-154 tires tried to get michelin's they run backward and they don't sell bridgestones i thought the toyota was pretty good these are 11r225 so we're going to go get six new tires and then once we get the hitch receiver on then we can hook up the subaru to the bird and then we can head to uh toward atlanta because we're going to the race we're going to atlanta speedway for nascar this weekend so when you do a walk around on your rv and it's time to go there's a quick little tip here on walk arounds you can do your regular walk around where you're kind of looking down and you're looking at the tires and if you have a towable rv you're looking at the tongue coupler and and you know it's funny you're kind of like you're naturally kind of close to your rv looking down but it's a good idea when you get that done to then take a loop a little further away so that you can look and you can check things like awnings in your air conditioning vents or in our case chairs up on top of the roof that's definitely a new one for us there's two new things to our checklist chair and mom you want to come look at this oh my god [Applause] [Music] [Music] pick up yeah so i'm returning in 0.4 miles but i can't get over i mean i haven't put my blinker on yet but that's a long line of cars so i'll just go out ahead of you well [Music] okay [Music] um [Music] so six new tires then i'll go inside i'll pay for them and i'll show you how much everything costs then we're gonna go in the swing of the back and they're gonna weld on that hitch receiver onto the post so that'll be good [Applause] all right here we go how you doing out there we got a hitch on really yeah you're ready to rock and roll yeah we're ready to hook up wow i'm so impressed yeah they did a great it's a nice bead of building-ness but caleb um you have your phone on you just for safekeeping i'm gonna put you on the phone and i want you to tell me when to turn okay i don't want to turn it into when did well i want you to tell me when i'm clear of the building oh okay okay all right hey real quick on cost while he's moving these trucks um i don't know if i mentioned michelin's were on back order i tried to get him through the fm fmca program that didn't work and then my next best tire that i wanted was the bridgestone and this isn't a bridgestone dealer um so i ended up getting the toyo m154 out the door 3389.76 six tires thirty three hundred bucks seventy six dollars for the well this thing is 60 miles per hour this engine just purrs it just loves it 55 to 60 is just just perfect but it is so stable you're gonna love driving it trish there's no sway when there's wind when the semi trucks pass us like right now i don't i don't get moved around it's just just a tank [Applause] [Music] there we go holy cow all right so we missed the turn to the boom doctor's welcome and a gentleman came out in his truck and pulled it beside me and said mark what are you doing in that it was pretty funny and uh anyway so then he said well follow me we'll get this turned around so we went down to the end of the street we disconnected the subaru and by the way this is our first boondocker's welcome yeah yeah first ever how about that thank you yeah glad to be here yeah thank you charlie's recuperating this is a very stressful situation for him good [Music] okay you gotta be back here you want me to go back this morning oh it's just been such a fabulous morning i think i'm becoming a big fan of boondockers welcome in a very short period of time or at least on my on our first day experience so here's today's agenda we're going from here we're going to say goodbye to brian who's been an amazing host and then from here we're going to go to lane orchard from lane orchard we're going to try to swing through a town to get the propane adapter and then we're going to check in at high fall rv park you ready let's do this trisha is raring to go well i got way more to do i have to stop and make a five-day menu i've got laundry to do yes i have a lot to accomplish and it's like noon we've been editing all morning long because we we know we were gonna be busy thursday through sunday so we've just been trying to get the video and this is the this particular video is the reveal of the bus so that's where put a little extra extra attention i hope you liked it last weekend we thought it was a lot of fun okay let's go let's fire her up huh when you open this door you have to be really careful he literally sits on the bottom step with his nose in the door okay waiting for you to open it gotcha yeah [Music] thank you certainly right so i'm just talking to the bertrand family who have been kyd insiders for a very long time they're from florida they're out traveling in colorado and their truck was stolen it's devastating anytime anything gets stolen you feel like violated but they actually looked at the security footage and watching your truck get stolen is wrenching you imagine especially if you're an rvr because you've got all the things you need to get back home so everything's been put on hold they're trying to figure out how to replace their truck and and all this stuff and so i'm thinking well so i sent him a message and i'm like well what else do you need and he's like well our blue ox was taken to the table so i sent each other an email i let him know the situation and i said uh hey is this something that you'd like to send up the blue ox and they got right back to me and said yeah no problem so they're gonna send a blue ox hitch out to uh scott and amanda and then hopefully they can get the rest of the stuff kind of figured out back on the road but i i'd say it's it's an interesting reminder i leave probably a little too much stuff in my truck and um this stuff happens and apparently this is going on right now in colorado and the trucks show up about a week later completely stripped so it's uh it's unfortunate but i have a sneaking suspicion that scott and amanda have already seen like the generosity of everybody around them so it's when when bad situations happen and it's never fun to go through but when you look back you realize just how amazing so many people are so just want to check in and tell everybody you know thank you so much uh for helping us get here last week one of the worst moments i've ever been through losing that truck i love that truck losing all my belongings that were in it and being two thousand miles from home was an awful experience but um everybody who came together and helped us uh truly blown away by it the brotherhood friends family neighbors new strangers everybody who helped us it's unreal um i'll never forget it from the bottom of my heart we want to say thank you oh you want to say thanks thanks yeah we're uh truly grateful for the bottom of my heart bottom of our hearts uh thank you i'll never ever ever forget what all y'all did for us oh you're actually turning the left in two point eight [Music] i've had low levels of anxiety leaving arizona going to michigan driving to south carolina getting the rv from the cat dealer getting new tires welding a hitch and making it this far and here we are here we are it's good to be here with the bird wow this thing is massive wow look at this trish you gotta watch wow [Music] yep 45 45 thank you watch out for the back side of the bus [Applause] okay we have arrived to atlanta speedway for the nascar cup series and as you can tell the next episode is going to be a lot of fun loud it's gonna be loud and exciting and so we've made it and i feel like an achievement like we did it we got it like there was a lot of planning to get to this point right here and we're here so this is where we're gonna leave you maybe with some cars flying around and tune back in next sunday at
