New Pond Build With The D6, And What Is This??

[Music] so so [Music] [Music] all right good morning guys well yesterday as you seen in the video i moved out to this new pond project um kind of show you here this is where she's gonna go all these trees and stuff are gonna come out and be piled and the actual pond is gonna go you can see a fence that runs right down through here the pond's gonna go on the other side of this tree so there's a gap between these trees and the fence and they're just a nice gradual bowl area there so we're going to try and put it in there all these trees are going to come out and i'll pile them i'll follow them over here someplace they're over there we'll just see but uh tell you what fingers crossed i hope this one uh when i dig out down here hopefully we get some good clay he thinks there's gonna be a lot of topsoil in here which it probably will be so we'll see uh i don't know until we get in there and dig it out we'll we'll see for sure it is a balmy uh well it was 13 degrees this morning when i fired the d6 up 13 degree wind chill and i had to track this as i mentioned yesterday about well probably a half a mile close to to say it was pretty brisk and we got a wind coming now so you probably see the wind blowing probably hear it so anyway today i'll be putting on all the coveralls and stuff like that so it may look like like i said i may put a face mask on the whole you know the whole bit so anyway goals to get these trees stripped off get the tops a little stripped off or not topsoil but get the sod stripped off and start to start moving some topsoil so we'll see how that goes i get all this these trees out of here piled i may strip a section of of uh i've sawed off and then get down here and dig me a test hole before i get too involved uh with that we've got another option of moving the pond right up here this side of those trees it's bold in here and it's kind of got a natural draw it's come down through here to help fill it but he doesn't want to lose he doesn't want to lose his is any good pasture here because he's got a bunch of cows so i told him we try to get down here again you got to watch putting things in a draw this isn't that deep uh so hopefully this is gonna work out if if i don't like it and he doesn't like it and then we'll move up here and we'll build one up here so he's wanting uh he's walking a half acre uh potentially bigger so i'm gonna get it roughed in if he wants to go bigger we'll go bigger but the main thing is as we ran into with the rest of peace pond we got to have good soil uh if we don't have good clay and good compactable material down there's no sense in spending money to do it so anyway all right guys i'm gonna throw my clothes on and we're gonna start building some trees out here so foreign so [Music] now [Music] missouri for sure well i mean you can see about right here how deep the topsoil is we're now starting to get into a color change we're starting to kick up a few rocks see here starting to kick up a few rocks so for not we won't have to go much deeper we're going to start getting into excuse me start getting into uh kind of the pre-clay uh which i dug where the uh over here i'll show you i dug a uh just kind of a test hole and um i mean start to get into some decent clay a lot of rocks still but we've got some rocks but starting again heading to some decent clay and we're probably a little over three foot so that's a good sign so i'm liking what i'm seeing so far my only fear is there's a lot of flint rock here uh so i'm hoping i'm hoping i can get through that with the d6 and not have to bring the excavator but if i do i do but but anyway that'll kind of give you an idea i mean it's almost to the top of the blade so anyway just wanted to show you the rare sight kind of like trying to find uh bigfoot or sasquatch it just doesn't happen and uh so anyway we're back after [Music] all right guys well done for today i wanted to catch this before it got too dark man the temperatures are dropped holy crap but anyway you can kind of see this was my test hole which is going to be basically where the dam core is going to be and hopefully you can see yo all righty guys uh sorry about that my battery died anyway i was walking over here gonna show you this pile hill d6 move some dirt today i mean look at that that's probably oh that's good 12 foot tall right there little girl was rolling some dirt and this is uh i told the owner this is kind of sasquatch without southwest missouri finding topsail like this this deep it was pushing four foot deep but i've not dammed or recorded them out yet i've got to do that which the dam's going to be right over in here but uh you can kind of see i slope this side down just in case because i've got to go deeper but just in case i've got to push the third out over i want that side sloped what i'm probably going to end up by doing ultimately is going in and cutting a bench into that and packing some clay up once i get down to my good clay this uh this is kind of a pre-clay it's getting a it may be getting too dark but it's getting some red to it but we've got to go much deeper what i'm also going to try to do is take probably take this i've got that sloped up right there i'm probably going to end up by taking it and going down in front of that brush pile and kind of tapering because again i apologize for the incident but but there's a that's where the wet weather creek came in right here so there's a low spot through here so i'm probably going to take i'm probably going to take and bring that cut that in around and tie it into that and then we're going to be you can see a flag right right there we're going to be around there too and so kind of kind of tell that back up that way a little bit that's plan anyway but uh anyway guys i'm gonna go ahead and get on out of here before the dark gets me i gotta feel the those are up yet and anyway uh coming together i'll be back in the morning get back on it again and so
