All restaurants we went in New Orleans were amazing! The order in this video is based on the surprising level haha. I love restaurants that not just serve tasty food but also make dishes in their own original and creative way. We were there the other day, saw a Hugh line in front of the store around 11. And we were attracted by the cute little cat sigh. So we were curious to see what the hype is all about. Finally we went there on the last day, Wednesday, at 8 in the morning, before we went to the airport. The fried chicken is crunchy outside, juicy inside. Both the meat and the crust are well seasoned. You can get the spiciness from them. The sauce is very creamy with artichoke. It’s a lighter and creamier version of normal artichoke crab dip. The scallops are perfectly cooked but still has a bite to it. Very tender and juicy. The grits are creamy, with light flavor of mushroom, topped with little sweet Nola bbq sauce It’s a restaurant with a coffee store and bakery. Serving southern food. it’s the best shrimp toast I’ve ever had. Nola bbq sauce is popular in Louisiana, basically it’s made with creole season, butter, woochster sauce, lemon juice. The toast is caramelized outside, so even though it’s covered by cheese and sauce, it’s still crunchy. A thin layer of burrata helped coating the sauce on the toast and gives a mild flavor in the background. Farro are very crispy which is a nice surprise because I never have that before. The cherry tomatoes taste like pickled and is very juicy and pungent, go very well with the sweetness of the sweet potatoes. The goat cheese is pretty mild, only has the slightest hint of the gamy flavor. Before we went to the airport, we went to Willa Jean again and bought a croissant. Even though it’s been squeezed in my bag…but you can still see the layers. It’s so buttery. Crispy outside, soft inside. The angel hair pasta was coated in bold mushroom cream sauce. It’s unbelievably good!! The fried oysters added another layer of texture. The sauce is sweet and sour. The pork belly is very crispy and not greasy at all. Fried shrimp is very crunchy, balanced well with the tender eggplant mixture inside. Cochon serves traditional Cajun southern food. it’s crunchy, and served Well as a snack, I’d love to have it while watching movies. The chili sauce has a very complex flavor profile it’s very rich, not so spicy but you can definitely get the hit from it, it’s also very bright and tangy, balancing all the richness out. It has lots of dried gulf shrimps which have soaked up lot of the juices. The potatoes are super tender but not falling apart. The catfish are fried perfectly, some still have that crunchy exterior, and most of them just absorb a lot of the delicious soup. The oysters were super fresh! They were big, juicy, and a little sweet. For me, I prefer to just add some lemon juice! This soup surprised me! It got a complex flavor, lots of warm spices. I couldn’t explain how good it is. This drink was originally created by our bartender Sean for last Halloween. It's my first time to go to a bar in a church. Sorry it’s an olive oil cake! Love the fried pickles!! Tons of fried shrimps in the po boy! Their breads were great too. Bread skin was thin and the bread's texture inside was loose. If I live near here, I'd love to come every week. The fried chicken tastes very different from many other places. Its crust was thinner, crunchy, and very well seasoned. We went to this new spot opened in Pythian Market. There was no line before us but we still waited for more than 10min because they only fried the chicken after people ordered. Worth the waiting! If you want to try south east asian food in New Orleans, here’s the place to go. Originally we came to try their pickled tea leaf salad but they were sold out so we got chicken salad, shrimp spring roll, and coconut rice noodle soup. The salad and spring rolls were fabulous. The salad was sour and spicy. The spring rolls were layered with thin and crispy skins. I just couldn’t stop having them with the three sauces! Personally, the coconut soup was a little dense and sweet for me, but still, it’s good. Another famous traveler spot haha. But their grilled oysters were great! The grilled oysters were great! They were little sour with strong flavor of garlic and mild flavor of barbecue sauce. We got this last box of crawfish that day. The shells were softer than what I had before in other places. And there were some pineapples in it too, which I’ve never seen. But it’s good. We came here for happy hour. The oyster was 1$ each. Thank you for watching.
