Fox 26 news Emily. Thank you. Well, we are learning more about the woman accused of stabbing a 17 Year-Old mom near the Galleria. COURtrillionECORDS show that Kasinski Blossom was out on bond when she allegedly killed Kayla Stephenson. Blossom had been charged with aggravated assault of a family member and allegedly attacked her ex-boyfriend with a knife. She was scheduled to appear in court this morning, but as Chelsea Edwards explains, it was put on hold. What a whirlwind this family has been through in just the last few days. The mother of Kayla Stephenson saying she learned about this arrest just moments before she was scheduled to view her daughter's body for the very first time. So here's a look at who police now have in custody. 37 year old Cason Sky blossom, now charged with capital murder. We're told a Swat team took her into custody at her home without incident on Wednesday. Homicide detectives say blossom stabbed Stephenson multiple times as the teen was on her way to work to the Galleria mall Saturday morning around 11 a.m. That stabbing taking place in the middle of the day near Saks Fifth Avenue on West Alabama near Sage Street. Witnesses flagged down police saying they saw the two fighting over the purse Stephenson was carrying. We now know that had her wallet, keys and cell phone inside after the stabbing, the attacker jumped on a bicycle and rode away, according to witnesses. Investigators believe blossom tried to rob Stephenson and ended up killing the young mother of a six month old baby. Kayla's mother says she is relieved that Houston Police Chief Troy Finner told her they would catch the person responsible, and they now have someone in custody.
