NERF WAR | THE COMPETITION | 3-GUN EDITION!

[Music] good day and hello welcome to the second annual or every once in a while your competition for this event we're trying the free gun concept instead of just using one blaster for the whole course each competitor will use three a primary or standard main blaster a pistol or sidearm and a shotgun the winner will be decided based on a combination of accuracy speed and hardcore parkour tactics oh yeah now to the course of fire each shooter will start in the corner facing the wall on the buzzer they will turn around and enter the kitchen to engage two cardboard targets these targets can be defeated with two hits on the torso or one to the head then the shooter will turn around to engage the blaster boards paddles plot twist this obstacle must be defeated with the shooters pistol blaster boards are really meant for forts but they make for super fun targets as well after the shooter knocks down all the paddles they'll spin around and engage the multi-level cups each cup stack must be struck to conquer this obstacle but that doesn't mean every cup has to fall over but bonus points for making the cups fly all over the place because that looks awesome next the tactical tunnel crawl this obstacle is to test how agile each shooter can remain with their gear selection to conquer this obstacle the shooter must simply crawl through you know pretty pretty simple stuff after they exit the tunnel the competitor will find their shot gun of choice in a classic tray of ammo waiting for them to defeat the shotgun Cup stack like the first cup stacks this target is defeated by any part of the cup being struck by mo but style points will be awarded for making cups fly everywhere so totes obvi after that the shooter switches back to their primary blaster to defeat the last target in the final path this is another blaster boards paddle target and upon falling marks the timer's stop for the shooters round and that's the course of fire a fun mix of accuracy speed and hardcore parkour tactics now let's meet the competitors first shooter shooter number one we'll call him the zombie strike guy primary blaster of choice the nerf zombie strikes leave fire a spring powered lever action blaster in the zombie strike line obviously he is the zombie strike guy after all with it for some reason he's using this six round magazines considering the number of darts required for the course that's going to be a few reloads and based on the gear those are gonna be some slow reloads but at least it'll be fun to watch his pistol of choice the nerf zombie strike shot five round hammer action blaster in the zombie strike series and last for the shotgun class the nerf zombie strikes sledgefire spring-powered three round shotgun in the zombie strike series featuring these somewhat annoying shells that doesn't fire without these specific shells so again it should be fun to watch that is the zombie strike guy next shooter the returning champ from last year's competition shooter number two though rival gang primary of choice the nerf rival here her her correct pronunciation is for nerds and I mean unicorn so I'm definitely not a nerd the rival her is a flywheel powered semi-auto magazine-fed blaster in the rival series being rival it's super accurate so GG no re other competitors or at least maybe maybe not I don't know but moving on to the pistol nerf rival Chronos spring-powered featuring a five-round internal magazine and tactically held in the hip holster that with the tactical one point sling on the her he's gonna have some quick transitions or at least hopefully and last for the shotgun class the nerf rival atlas 8 pump actions spring powered shotgun in the rival series that fires two balls at once definitely a pretty solid loadout by the rival guy next shooter number three kind of an oddball the Bluto guy primary of choice the boom Co halo shotgun spring powered pump action horizontally clip fed blaster by boom Co pistol of choice the boom coach ride last the tribe blast is spring powered and can fire one at a time with the manually rotating turret or you flip the switch on the side and we can fire all three at once as a shotgun however for this competition shooter number three has also been given an actual shotgun although his pistol technically qualifies as both but he still wanted it so he's using it the boom Co burst wave boom Co burst wave is air powered and fires four boom Co darts at once and that is the boom Co shooter shooter number four the nerf method adding named as such obviously because of his preference for the nerf mega line primary of choice the nerf mega Centurion spring powered bolt-action magazine-fed blaster in the mega series firing one at a time and holding six mega darts in its magazine cool looking blaster but this is more of a CQB course of fire so I'm interested to see how that length plays out but just like do to drive massive pickup trucks it's clearly compensation next for the pistol class the nerf mega cyclone shock spring powered top primed six-round fixed cylinder system off-camera the mega guy boasted about how big the cyclone shock is and how it's too big to fit into these wimpy holsters so it's on a sling his pistols on a sling let's see how well that works out on to the shotgun class the nerf mega twin shock the twin shock is spring powered pump action slam fire enabled and fires two darts at once that is the mega guys load out to our last shooter shooter number five then there's a guy he and the rival guys seem to really gel off-camera very similar mentalities primary of choice the nerf of each strife with twelve round nags strife of course is a semi-auto flywheel powered magazine-fed blaster pistol of choice the nerf Elite disrupter spring powered top prime slam fire enabled six round capacity and featuring a reasonable size to actually fit into the hip holster the strife is on a one point sling so technically switching to the pistol might be reasonable unlike with the mega guy lastly to the shotgun class the nerf Elite ruffcut spring powered pump action eight round capacity firing two darts at once but with a pretty small profile very effective loadout by the elite guy right at you now you know the players and the course of fire let's get to shooting first shooter to the line mr. zombie straight guide [Music] Koni with two to the chest instead of one to the head interesting call with that low capacity luckily the hammer shot is operational with one hand it doesn't have a sling a sniper [Music] oh just mates dat face doe [Music] now to the shotgun using those annoying shells in the sledgefire wow that was a pretty bad shot hey-oh to the last panel oh six round capacity mags good call bro reload time is really killing it total time and the round and final times like now in a minute 14 seconds yes sir that count judges yep I hit it you can't hear us but yeah you're good bro naked guys gonna give me a size joke huh interesting call going to to the chest instead of just the one to the head with those six four mags that with the super slow reload times resulted in a pretty slow time pretty slow run but a fairly clean run - the one miss right after you happen to say sniper and sniper other than that decent performance from the zombie strike guy now to our next shooter the rival guy game time okay memorize the course Oh do to the chest and one to the head mr. confident oh wow yeah that paddle just got scared it doesn't even count sir underneath the multi-level cups with ease onto the tunnel taking that like a champ tactical sling sounds like a disc jockey first shot yeah that looks performs well to the final paddle nice well done rival guy pretty quick not bad indeed sir final time with just over twenty nine seconds overall a very smooth run by the rival guy overshooting on the kitchen cardboard ain't guaranteed defeating those targets smooth pistol transition using the one point sling in the hip holster quick transition back to the primary to the multi-level cups crawling through the tunnel with no fuss very quickly eliminating the shotgun cup stack with the first shot and quickly taking down the final paddle that will be a very difficult time to beat solid performance by the rival guy now to our next shooter the boom kogai [Music] over shooting on the kitchen cardboard that's why holsters are great guys nice transition did you read the manual to your pistol there good enough just added one more barrel link Oh [Music] swift and taking out the multi-level cups spoke to you soon no reload just those extra clips are in this little fanny pack there plasterboard sports are pretty cool don't let it distract you [Music] [Laughter] take your time first shot that looked awesome holy crap target wasn't up man that does count as a hit boom kogai we will unfortunately have to fire whatever tech handled that bad now and stage guy he tried his best it's all good bro we're just having to fight he can't hear us he can hear us boom coke guy telepathic what the f round started off well and actually when the leuco guy is shooting he shoots well he should really just figure out that year transitioning to the pistol took way too long then his reload at the multi level cups that really slowed his overall time down but overall a pretty smooth run from the boom co guy now to our next shooter the mega guy go to the corner bro I mean come on just like free weight lifts the actual bike ride to fight cardio girl yeah how can you just start the timer and find his way to the corner going for the headshots to save time it's his slung pistols tactically putting the center on between the legs [Applause] [Music] you can pretty much just like barrel tap the tops very slow reload oh oh plus a blaster malfunction oh yeah use those biceps these don't have legs [Music] we can cardio grow anything a suction cups back on the store shop now to the final paddle there we go it only took four shots I was embarrassing the wind took it you saw it there's a draught there's a track right there that opens no there's no drift there's not that doesn't go to the outside yes it does you're lying give me the blueprints bro I didn't have enough water in my system I took too much creatine so uh I didn't have the same precision in my muscles it's all about the muscle to water density ratio I think excuses excuses to recap the run starting out that long barrel did not negatively affect his speed as much as I was expecting quickly eliminating the kitchen cardboard with two headshots to save on ammo other shooters sling their primary and holster their pistol this was an interesting configuration but it seemed to work fairly well for the mega guy plus the blaster malfunction that's just bad luck bro probably the slowest tunnel crawl we've seen today pretty poor performance with those dead legs completely out of breath when he moved to the shotgun he was still able to eliminate the shotgun cup stack on the first shot with the slightly inaccurate mega darts he did struggle taking four shots to eliminate the final paddle for a final time of 1 minute and 20 seconds that is the mega guy now to our final shooter than their fili guy [Music] quick transition very smooth Oh just missed it that was weird he hit the paddle it did not fall quickly eliminating the multi-level cups doing hardcore parkour to get you the tunnel [Music] tactical reload well done sir on the second shot not too bad quick transition to the final paddle [Music] wasn't even hard oh yeah that paddle fell down for the record so I take that bro yeah go down the first time your shot missed a target you're talking two targets as if they're people then again I'm a unicorn so I'll allow it to recap the performance tactical pre revving before the timer started to get those fly wheels to max rpm to quickly disable the kitchen cardboard targets smooth transition to the disruptor similar one point sling in hip holster to the rival configuration fairly swiftly disabling the blaster boards paddles with the pistol quick transition back to the strife to eliminate the multi-level cups then conquering the tunnel obstacle with no whining like the mega die tack reload trying to use those few steps between obstacles as efficiently as possible swiftly using the rough cut to disable the shotgun cup stack overall very Swift smooth fast run by the elite guy with a final time just over 32 seconds already knew and that was our final shooter now too late results to recap the zombie strike guy achieved a time of 1 minute and 14 seconds shooter to the rival guy achieved a time of about 29 seconds next the boom ko guy came in at about 1 minute and 16 seconds then the mega guy achieved a time of about 1 minute and 20 seconds largely due to the weapon malfunction lay bummer and the last shooter the elite guy achieved a time of about 32 seconds which means lay results for the final podium coming in third place for the time of 1 minute 14 seconds the zombie strike guy coming in with a time less than half of third place number 2 the elite at 32 seconds and of course number one the winner of the second annual or every once-in-a-while nerf competition the super speedy time of 29 seconds the rival guy reigning champ undefeated two times in a row and that concludes the second annual or every once in a while nerf competition this event was a ton of fun to arrange and commentate I hope our competitors had just as much fun and especially you guys the viewers I hope you enjoyed it if you have Meh. I do kind of agree with the outcome overall and understand that again this video is not supposed to be taken serious, but it annoyed me nevertheless. Yes, Rival would probably win, Elite is pretty good if modded, ZS (and the other subseries like Doomlands) is like classic N-Strike a bit more often than not performancewise going style over usability/performance, BoomCo being... BoomCo and Mega being the stuff for people who insist on something different and larger for... well, they probably have reasons.

However: - He had to crawl extra slow and awkward to make the Mega guy come in last. Whoopdidooh. With a bit faster crawling in the tunnel, Mega guy would have been #3.

• Everyone has stock mags, except the Elite guy. Oh snap, Stryfe has not same 6round mag as Zombiestrike guy? geeeee... And the Slingfire even came with a 25rd rum in some package variants, notably.

• All had stock performance except Elite guy of course who uses a Stryfe that certainly wasn't stock from the sound of it (may I assume IMRs, if not Trustfires...?). Yay. Apples, oranges...

• last but not least: Blaster choice. Mega shotgun? Doublebreach. It would surely made mega guy last. But then the Twinshock would have been a decent performing primary (though the Centurion did not do as bad as it could thanks to the rather low ranges in this run).

I actually like the idea of 3-Gun competitions for Nerf for a while now and would like to see more of something like this. It seems to work quite well for the Airsoft community in Hong Kong and they don't seem to have/need a lot of space either.

With that said, most people would prefer to shoot their friends and other people with Nerf blasters rather then targets, so that's most likely why 3-Gun is not really a thing within the Nerf community. As for Hong Kong, well...they don't get to use real guns, so they're stuck with Airsoft as a substitute.
