NAVAJO GRANDMA GHAAJI DINE' HAPPY NEW YEAR

this is kind of in the evening it's raining it's kind of cool and guess what tomorrow is going to be happy new year this is the remember october is gaunt and that's when we have the delay happy new year and grandma's gonna she has her card like normal and basically let me do this the danae culture okay the janae culture expresses that the beginning of the year is in october it's called it means back to back and basically you say yacht e that's what you say but there's a little more formal way of saying that and grandma will tell you just a bit okay now before the new year this is how you greet somebody you say and then during the day of new year's you say nigeonego nina i know it sounds really hard okay but that's what you say before and after so now since it hasn't occurred yet grandma's gonna say that to you i will show you again that's what i say to you now because that the new year's hasn't occurred so now in october of course you know it's called and basically this is when the temperatures are changing from warm to cool and we harvest there's we have preservation of food to see us through the winter and the preparations basically are for the winter ceremonies and it's a time for renewal okay and perseverance and basically it gives us a chance to tell our children stories that's what what usually occurs during this month and another event during the fall is that it's called cash j now question is the social gathering that the dna people have where you gather together and you tell stories of the emergence and basically how the ancient old ones our ancestors basically fought for day and night now i don't know those things this is the culture that i didn't grandpa didn't teach us these things but anyways um cash j basically is a game and what you do and grandma will tell you is that what uh when you play this game you have two teams and you take maybe maybe 10 moccasins and you bury them under the wall under the sand but there's a you know you put a ball in the shoe you don't tell nobody knows where the ball is and it's inside the box and it's covered with with uh sand and basically the teams take turns guessing which shoe or which moccasin the ball is in and then you basically turn take turns and then you just have a fun time and see whoever wins now what you do is you use yucca strands and you just lay the yucca strands for whoever basically wins or loses anyways it's kind of a fun game and i don't remember ever playing it because i i was the only little kid in my home but that's one of the games of the danae culture so i want to wish you yacht a gauntlet and even if you just said yacht a gancha tomorrow it's october 1st that's our dna happy new year yay i just hope you have a wonderful day and a time for renewal it's time for to forgive yourself and to be nice and to be nicer okay renewal that's what it's all about love you bye ha gone then happy god
