let's kick off then i think the more you've got your hand up there if you're gonna ask someone yes hello good to see you again uh my question is i have about two firstly i want to ask them about the order of melchizedek it's not really clear to me what exactly it means when you say the priesthood of memphis what does it really mean and what does it imply for us right now what does it require us to do or to be then secondly um it's common among the charismatics and the world of faith people about prophetic offerings giving offerings to men of god referring to them giving them some special honor treatment so how important is this and what does this is it's something that's necessary to advance with god or that that's how to make us feel that for you to get by taking the anointing of that kind of thing okay um okay well the order of melchizedek um jesus is after the order of melchizedek and the order of melchizedek really is a priestly kingly apostolic prophetic or legislative and oracle perspective that brings heaven and earth together in us so you have within the order of the melchizedek you have the four faces of god which is father-son spirit us if you like because we are made in his image and therefore you have a governmental function that is supposed to administer the kingdom on earth as it is in heaven so you have a royal priesthood a heavenly royal priesthood in which we function as priests before god in other words we have intimacy with him we can have access to his presence and kings which is to do with government and kingdom rule and authority and that heavenly perspective then needs to be brought into the earth so from the earthly perspective then as oracles of the father's heart carrying the heart of the father we can then legislate or govern that heart into the earth and outwork heaven onto the earth so you have the four uh different functions represented by the four living creatures of lion ox eagle man and you have priestly kingly the oracle and the legislation so you have those together to bring full government now when it talks about jesus being after the order of melchizedek looking at that order we're not talking about melchizedek heading up that order it's a description of sonship from a governmental perspective and is linked to the description of melchizedek as an example of our sonship so it talks about melchizedek having no father or mother you know no origin so there's no beginning no end so that's the sense of the eternal nature of of our sonship that we began in god and we are in god and continue in him um in that way no genealogy means that we function from our eternal identity not from our natural identity within the order of melchizedek so it really is looking at to come from a heavenly perspective to see heaven's perspective outworked on the earth now i mean i in the engage in god program i go through that teaching in detail and go through in each of the different functions of the priest and the king and the oracle and the legislator essentially some people might have one of those perspectives that is a primary perspective in their daily life or in their outworking of their relationship with god at the moment but we're all maturing to be able to have all of those perspectives operating equally in a way just like our redemptive gift usually has prime one or two primary ones but as we mature we will get all of them because jesus carries all of them and when we're in the order of melchizedek in the realms of heaven standing in the name of god so we stand in the four faces of god within the holy place that we have access to according to hebrews then we are in his name and therefore we carry the power of attorney of the name of jesus to our work god's kingdom on earth as is in heaven so it's a governmental role um but that governmental role must be based in intimacy so that the government of god comes from the love of god and outworks the grace of god and the mercy of god in his love therefore it's not a we are here to dominate control uh go to war against anything it's a restorative position to bring a restoration of god's original purpose and intention to it's a creational position that will bring freedom to creation you know romans 8 talks about the revealing of the sons of god so creation can be set free from its bondage to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of god and the glory of the children of god is a representation of those four functions which is god and man in union and that brings a window for manifestation and there's all sorts of things you could talk about around it but primarily it's like trying is looking to bring heaven and earth into agreement through us because as we are of that order in jesus we are functioning in heaven and we are a gateway of heaven to function into the earth as an individual who represents the four faces of god and that order now there's also corporate function as well but primarily that's really it so functioning or engaging in heaven at working on the earth because some people engage in heaven and they don't really look to outwork it on the earth well that's not really much point those who are on earth and not engage in heaven don't have the ability to outwork it on earth because it has to be established in heaven first so it's both together unifying we are a convergence of heaven and earth in our own lives the tithes offerings and all of that stuff i would not get involved in any of that bottom line is this money finances are very simple within the kingdom you ask god what to do and you do it so very clearly we should not be pressured into doing it or trying to buy something by doing it so those who tell you that you have to sow into their ministry or you have to you know pay tithes to their ministry or give offerings and gifts to their ministry you know to be blessed or to mature or to do any of that they're lying to you essentially because giving is a very simple thing it represents the heart of god and god is so wonderfully abundant and overflowing and generous that he wants us to be like him and that should be the heart of it so we shouldn't be looking at how little i can get away with you know or what's the minimum i could do we should just be open to whatever it is that god would want us to invest in and that could be to give to somebody people give to me often and i'm blessed by that do i require it and do i solicit it no because i'm not wanting people to think that they have to pay me money to be blessed now if they sow into me as a person then i will of course want them to be blessed and reap from the abundance that is flowing from god but i i am not teaching people to give offerings to me or tithes to the church or whatever or to rumor gifts that's one of the latest one that is floating around to rumor offerings and all of that it's old testament we're not under the old testament we're in the new covenant and in the new covenant it's all about freely giving what we freely receive so do i want to accumulate so i can distribute absolutely i want to be blessed so i can be a blessing and i do believe that god will provide for all our needs and an abundance for every good deed and we will always have enough if we're seeking first the kingdom we've got to be very careful we don't get drawn into the system and particularly the evangelical charismatic system that is there to prop up the system and keep it functioning therefore it's a very top-down mediatorial system you know and it works for those who are at the top it's just like a pyramid scheme really if you're at the top of the pyramid you will get a lot if you're at the bottom of the period you won't get a lot if anything you'll be giving everything that's not the way god wants it to work we are to invert that and you will see that those that are blessed can bless more it's not about here going up to this to very few or one it is me enabling more and more to be blessed by me giving now giving is not just money me is fulfilling my destiny me is blessing people by me being me so the more i am me the more i'm gonna bless those people that are in relationship with me so anyone that pressurizes you to give is counteracting what the bible says about a cheerful giver and do not give under compulsion a tithe is a tax it's a compulsion in the old testament that was because the priests and the levites and those who ministered in the temple to the people did not have any land given to them in the inheritance in the promised land so the rest of the people gave of the portion of their land produce to enable the priests to be able to live that was with the whole system well that was never for the gentiles anyway ever because they weren't under that system and today we're not under it either in the new covenant now there are those who will try and get you to give because it was about abraham abraham was the father and he tithed to melchizedek funnily enough well actually if you go back and read the whole story abraham gave a tenth of the spoils of the the war that he was here fighting and he gave 90 of the spoils away so if you go by abraham's example you've got to give 100 of everything you've got away and actually that is not how it is supposed to function or work now there are those people who are very generous and want to give and they do give very generously way beyond the tithe or the offering and no doubt god blesses them because they are a blessing but those who are trying to get you to give money by sowing into their ministry in any way trying to make that conditional upon blessing or anything else then they are operating in a deceptive way i don't think it's wrong that people would want to donate or to give to someone who's blessed them i i give to people who bless me um and i'm looking for god to to show me where to give and i was talking to someone actually online the other day we were having a com i was having a conversation with a friend in south africa and we were engaging and as we were talking i just felt god say you need to bless him so while i was talking to him i found out what his paypal account was and sent him some money just because i felt inspired to do that wasn't under compulsion to do it was he asking me to do it absolutely not you know but i do believe god does inspire people to give to bless each other and if we're open to that that's all's necessary but we need to check our heart because if the reason we don't want to give is because we're stingy or we're afraid we won't have enough that's a wrong motive if the reason we do want to give is so that in some way we will get something out of somebody else i think that's not also is not a good motive we need to have a pure heart and therefore we want to bless because god wants to bless us and he wants us to give so he can give to us and he wants to bless so we can be a blessing to others and it's a whole way that is summed up in in love there is no compulsion in it you know and i know people who've got into debt because they were you know i i did in fact i remember years ago someone was looking for a building project in the church i was in and i was sort of invested into the church and i got hoodwinked into taking out a loan to give into a building project which never came off i lost the money and ended up having to pay off the loan and with interest and i learned from that because i was pressured into giving i never asked god really should i give i just assumed i should give because i was in that system and i was caught up with it um so i think we've got to be very careful not to give under compulsion but to always give cheerfully where god asks us to give but let's ask him if you never ask him check your heart why you don't ask him you know and i think it's a heart issue which goes to indicate the where our heart is in trusting god seek first the kingdom and everything else without it now do i believe god has resources in heaven to outwork into our lives on the earth absolutely and all of that but that's to outwork us fulfilling our destiny um not just to do what we want although god blesses us and he wants us to be blessed but for some people they may need a billion dollars pounds to be fulfilling their destiny for someone they might not need any money at all just being themselves is all they need so money itself or how rich people are is not a sign of god's blessing necessarily so we shouldn't read into someone who has no money and someone who has money and read into one is more spiritual than the other because we don't know what their circumstances are or what their destiny is or whether they require some income of money to be able to do things or not and i think we just have to be very careful to do what we know to do in our own heart in our relationship with god and just do whatever he shows us to do and then you're free from the pressure of coercion of anyone trying to get money i mean bottom line is people who are selling prophecies and all of that sort of stuff i think you know i don't think that really is a very sort of kingdom thing to do i'm not saying if you produce something you can't sell it that's a very different thing from trying to get people to buy words from god you know i think that's that's very dubious and the whole system i think is flawed all of the religious system financially is flawed and that's why people are caught under guilt and condemnation you know so many offering messages in the systems are very pressurizing why because they got to keep a system going and they're not trusting god themselves you know it's like you know if anyone says i need you to give in to my ministry i'll be saying well why don't you get ask god to provide for you rather than trying to get out of people and if god inspires the people brilliant but don't try and coerce it out of them yeah so that'll be my view on that i have something else um how about um the what we call the honor culture where we have um people deferring so much to the man of god and preachers were practically doing a lot of things for them uh that kind of system like you kind of serve seven prophets seven men of god because what he would say is that based on the old testament the sons of the prophet devised to serve the prophets to receive all their gifts and that kind of thing yeah well the whole system's flawed you know bottom line is that's a corrupt system you shouldn't be honoring a man of god you should be honoring god and of course in a sense there's an honoring of a person for who god made them to be because we want them to be the fullness of who god made him to be but not getting caught up in the man of god we're all men and women of god we're all sons of god there is no hierarchy or some are better or more deserving of honor than everyone else you know that that is just a system which has been developed and it's a hierarchical old covenant system which needs to be dismantled and i mean in certain places in the world that is more i think people are more susceptible to that type of thing than others i think particularly in africa where there is a tribal culture or has been a tribal culture and chiefs and all of that stuff i guess we we sort of don't really have as much of that in the uk particularly so i think we've got to be careful we don't embrace mixture and i think sometimes there's syncretism and within a lot of religious systems they have adapted traditional or national or other types of things within what they believe and the honor of the man of god and you know it's a reverence which should be should be given to god himself and not others now i'm not saying we shouldn't we shouldn't acknowledge people and and you know i i do i i thank god for lots of people who've blessed me in my life but that's very different from i think the system which is about control and it's also about hierarchical they're over me no one's over me other than god i'm not under anybody and neither should anybody of us be under anybody covered by that person we have god is our covering we can have a relationship with people i'm not saying there shouldn't be leadership but leadership is servant leadership who's foundational not hierarchical and covering so whenever someone tries to get you to honor them because they are the man of god just point them to ephesians 2 and tell them that they need to be under your feet so you can stand on them so they can be your support because that's what the bible says they're a foundation not a roof or a covering or a pinnacle so remind them that they're there to support you and to lift you up and to enable you to go higher to engage god for yourself never to go through a mediator or anyone else so you know i i would you know there's a lot of corruption and it's a lot of mixture within religious systems and some of that mixture comes right out of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil because it is man-made religion and that promotes man rather than god and we've got to be very careful not to get involved in those systems but to be free to pursue god without needing to go through anyone else whether that be a person or a system or a theology or any other thing direct access the veil is torn jesus is made away we can directly engage god for ourselves all right thank you mate okay anyone else got anything they would like to talk to um you were talking about outworking what we decreed in heaven i would love to hear more about that how do you how do i follow through with what i decreed or what i did in the heavenlies well i think whatever we do in establishing heaven needs to be outworked on earth and generally that's through our lives therefore we can't just be assuming that we said something in heaven and it's just gonna happen without anything involving us if we're looking to establish something on earth then we also need the wisdom to be able to see that established if i'm looking to decree and declare blessing into other people's lives then it's up to god how he outworks that through them or from heaven so there are things that don't necessarily involve me directly but are me legislating for other things to happen but i will always be open for god to give me any direction into if he wants me to do anything practical that might respond to that so you know i was talk we were talking about finances a minute ago whatever so let's say i'm decreeing and declaring blessing from heaven and you know i will have all that i need to fulfill all i'm called to do okay now i can declare that i know it's the truth i know that i have everything i need to fulfill all that i'm called to do but that means some that doesn't mean that i wouldn't sow to reap i still use the principles that god has given for me to enter into that blessing i can't just sit there and say oh it's just gonna miraculously pop out of nothing there may be something that god wants me to do you know i mean i wonder how many people that god wants to be blessed that he's told them to do something and they haven't done it because they're waiting for a miracle so sometimes you know we need to be involved in outworking it so in terms of financial blessing let's look at that one you know i know that i have all that i need now how does that happen what happens in lots of different ways so a while ago someone gave me some bitcoin you know now i i had no idea about bitcoin i wish i did know about bitcoin 15 years ago whenever it came out and i'd you know bought a few thousand pounds worth of bitcoin because i'd now be a billionaire but god didn't tell me that so obviously he didn't want me to do it but someone he inspired someone to give me some bitcoin so i didn't know i didn't even know how so i had to open a bitcoin wallet you know and have it have some sort of way in which someone could give me the bitcoin and then i would have it in a wallet online now i know no idea about any of that so i could turn around and say well you you need to give me it in money because i don't i don't have any clue about bitcoin or i could look at it and say okay god's inspired you to give me the bitcoin so i go back to god and i say is there anything i need to understand or do with this so i then practically at work some of the things that i was decreeing in heaven because i was discerning that i needed to do something so i had this bitcoin wallet and you know this was a few years ago and to start with i didn't have any idea what i just left it i didn't know what to do with it so i left it and then i noticed that it was increasing in value significantly and going up so i was being blessed then i then i saw i left it and then i saw oh it went right back down again and then it went up again and then it went down again but but it went down slightly less so it was increasing so i said to god do what do you want me to do with this am i supposed to just leave it someone's giving it me i guess you wanted them to give it me so do you want me to learn anything about it so he said yeah i want you to learn how to use wisdom to increase so oh okay so practically i then said well how do i do that and he said every time it doubles in value take half of it out and then when that doubles in value you got back what you had twice what you had then take half of it out and win it so that's what i've done wow and it keeps going up and it keeps increasing in value and it's just sitting there until god tells me what to do with it you know i mean i i'm not taking the money out i just it's in i got a load of it in pounds and i got a load of it in bitcoin and then whenever the bitcoin increases to double its value i'd take half of it out again and that was the strategy he gave me so i could have just said okay god bless me or i'm decreeing and declaring blessing but i got involved by following it through and doing what he showed me to do and i've learned about it and i was talking to my friend the other day and he said you know you can automate all that process and you can do all of that all of this and he's like oh yeah i make this and i make this because i got it all automated on this program and this one the other and i'm like and he showed me it online and i'm like oh okay so go back to god do you want me to do that nah that's fine for him i don't need you to do that so always do what it is the father's directing you to do so that what you're decreeing or establishing in heaven can be outworked on the earth don't just assume it's going to happen just because you've said it be open for whatever you need to do to help facilitate that that might be nothing but it might be something and just be sure that you're not striving for that but you're in a place of rest knowing that it is going to be outworked as you sort of progress into it but i've learned you know to also realize that timing of things is god's timing and not mine because sometimes you say something and you want it now you know and i've found that very often it doesn't happen instantly because there's process involved lessons for me to learn process for me to understand relationship to continuing trust of god in the process um because a lot of the things that god inspires us to begin to establish are are not to be done independently of him it's always got to be relational in the process um you know so i find that some people are very heavenly all doing the courts of heaven the courts of heaven and all that stuff and i'm not against doing those things but then they sit and wait for something to happen and they don't actually do anything now i'm not saying get into works and strive to make something happen but make sure that you're open for whatever god shows you to do you know you know not like jesus when he was around he could have just materialized a donkey to ride into jerusalem but he told his disciples to go and find this donkey that was tied up somewhere so he he he sort of there were miraculous things instantaneous things and there were things which were like how did he know the donkey was there how did it get there he obviously saw it in some way and the reason he did that was his whatever reason i don't know but there was a mixture of instantaneously miraculous things that worked in process for us to learn to do this in relationship with the father and i think that's important you know we've got to do this relationally with the heart of the father as an oracle of the father's heart to establish that on earth and therefore it won't be something that we're doing in our own strength or our own understanding oh yes thank you the cool story thank you so much mike okay anyone else got anything i want to talk about okay nicole i gotta hand it there again oh yes i have lots of questions i would love to to hear more about melchizedek when i'm in my ascension group they always at the end they trade everything on the sea of glass to melchizedek for more intimacy with the lord so this i would so much love to to you to know more about him and and what special role he plays in heavenly okay um i must admit i don't do that myself ever i know it is a system that some have taught i have an attitude of casting my crowns before the lord in honoring him and believing uh in trusting in him for blessing and everything else so trading in that perception everything i do must be traded to mercy's next so i'm gonna get i know god wants me to have intimacy it's his desire for relationship with me so i i think that's can be become a ritual if you do it in faith because you feel god has asked you to do that then no problem but don't just do it because someone else developed that system and you think you need to do that because it can become a ritual on a formula like anything else do everything inspired be inspired to do that which you're inspired by the heart of god to do and do it then in that inspired way don't do anything just because someone has said this is the way you do it you know just because i do it in a certain way doesn't mean that you have to do it in the same way and unfortunately some people have taught things that have become systems that then become legalism you don't have to trade everything to melchizedek unless that's what god inspires you to do then do whatever he inspires you but don't do it just because someone else says it now melchizedek is a heavenly being that has a role in our sonship as jesus is of that order but melchizedek is one of the high chancellors one of the chancellors of the treasury of heaven and therefore is involved in resources and releasing blessing into us and our sonship and people have experienced melchizedek in different ways and you'll find all sorts of different theories about who he is you know and some of them will put that in an earthly some of them while he's jesus just you know you know jesus is pre you know incarnation he appeared as a melchizedek i don't believe that because i've met more because of that he's in jesus some will say that he was shem some will say he was enoch i mean there's so many theories out there best way to do it is engage him and talk to him and ask him um and i found that there are times when melchizedek has been i've sensed melchizedek around what i'm doing and there are other times when i don't and i would engage with enoch or somebody else or abraham or you know now i think one of the latest theories i heard i think for me in clayton was melchizedek was the priest that sacrificed jesus before the foundation of the world and melchizedek was one of the covering cherubs whether that is true i don't know personally i never really thought i'm interested to find out i engage when i need to engage and don't when i don't so you know i've found when i've engaged melchizedek definitely a created being not a person who is now taking on another form um that's not my my um experience of melchizedek but i wouldn't say melchizedek is [Music] one a being that i've engaged as much as like wisdom or you know or or other uh chancellors or things of that nature yeah it's um but some people may be more connected to melchizedek as in somewhere and as other beings i think god maybe connects us like some of the cloudera witnesses i engage more often than others simply because they seem to be on a frequency that i resonate with or connect to and melchizedek although i have engaged him in the treasury room and sort of the trading floors of heaven and i have traded into those flaws within for my own life it was only ever when i felt led to not because i thought i ought to or because that's that that is the only way to do it for that way yes i see but um if we are a priest according to his order then i need to know more about this order well the order i mean i started off today talking about the order i think before you came on so when you go back and you can listen to this again i went into the order of melchizedek and what it is you know that's a governmental order that we are all part of that really is outworking our royal priesthood in heaven and as and our oracle and legislative functions on the earth to bring heaven and earth into agreement so heavens established on earth that's really what it's about it's a governmental perspective of our sonship in relationship with god that manifests heaven into the earth and yeah there are things that you can learn from what it says about melchizedek in terms of purity of our genetic structure and making sure that we are new creations in christ and are not coming from an old um creational reality all of that stuff is is relevant and god may give you some insight into some of that or he may not you know sometimes we need to know and it isn't so much about melchizedek that you need to know about it's about jesus who is of the order of see jesus is our high priest after the order of melchizedek you know that's the key jesus is the key not melchizedek because jesus is the high priest not melchizedek so in that sense it's jesus we need to be engaging with as the truth who was a king and a priest himself you know and he was a legislator and an oracle himself so in jesus we will find the fulfillment of our sonship um primarily found so i would encourage you to pursue jesus as the high priest of that order and then function within the order as he directs because the way you function there will probably be different from how i function there because we're different and then you'll find how that works for you individually rather than it being you know some sort of formulaic way of working it out i would be aware of formulas i think they have a tendency to get us trapped into ritual and legalism oh you know um and whenever someone tells me this is the way you've got to do it i'm suspicious of that because i know that god has many many different ways of doing things and it isn't just one way that does it you know because he's very very creative and he wants us to be creative so he inspires us to do things differently that reflect who he made us to be in that way so yes he's kind of mysterious on nancy she has something like he's the prince jesus is the prince of peace and melchizedek is the king of peace and um because jesus is only the prince of peace because we have to yet crown him king of peace so i was really well yeah i didn't fully understand that so that's yes well jesus was called the prince of peace while he was here on earth and then he went back into heaven to the ancient of days and received the crown of the kingdom and then he was given all authority above every other authority he has it we don't make him that but by acknowledging it we come under his government and then we have authority because he is king of kings and lord of lords but we don't make him anything other than we embrace who he is he's already in that position and king of salem was an earthly thing which related to salem which related jerusalem you know and it was a representation of peace king of peace to melchizedek in relation to how he was relating to abraham who was be the father of the faithful if you like and we're all children of abraham in jesus who is the fulfillment of the seed of abraham and therefore we are blessed to be a blessing which is the covenant that god made with abraham which is fulfilled in the new covenant in jesus so all gets summed up in jesus ultimately all of it you know and but people will have different teaching to express different ways of expressing the same thing you could say the same thing is is acknowledging jesus is lord that that's really what it is you're acknowledging that jesus is king of kings and lord of lords and you can be a lord and a king under his kingship it's an empowering thing nancy cohen would would say she uses the teaching were prince of peace king of salem brother and therefore we make him king and therefore we can be princes yeah that's all that's all just a way of of saying the same thing in a different manner and everyone gets different ways of saying it because that relates to different people some people will totally relate to that oh yeah they'll get it i could say the same thing in different ways they wouldn't get it because god uses a multitude of different people to express the same thing in a multitude of ways so people can get it they might not get it one way but they'll get another and that's good you know because it means there isn't just one way or one way of expressing the same thing there's numerous ways of expressing the same thing it's just when that becomes the way of expressing it that then becomes a problem because that's the only way of thinking about it now there's loads of different ways of thinking about jesus kingship priesthood you know king of kings lord of lords you know high above all seated high above all authority you know i mean there's so many different ways of looking at it and some ways are helpful because it's like oh yeah i acknowledge jesus's kingship in my life there am i making him king no but he's i am acknowledging it and therefore i'm under his kingship and therefore i have greater measure of authority because i can function in kingship if i was only to acknowledge his lordship then i would be limited to operating in lordship so as a sense where obviously i want to totally acknowledge his full sonship so i can be like him because we're being conformed into the image of our son and he's the best example of a son so as i acknowledge his sonship then it helps me to outwork my sonship which is another way of putting the same thing really i see you thank you so much mike right okay anyone else you did have your hand up finger you put it back down i noticed i noticed well it's just that i i find it so difficult to express this question i really don't know how to ask you or how to say it it's about identity and about a servant being a servant serving jesus serving the father um and being sons i mean thinking about the son humanly speaking the relationship between a son and a good father would not be the same as the relationship between a servant and the lord so we often have been i think in in many churches and so on we have been talking a lot about serving serving god being servants uh and um for me it's confusing because i uh you know my identity i feel being as a son and a daughter of god and all that involves i mean it's not all like i would picture the relationship of a servant to between a servant and a lord at all so when when i call when i pray or when i talk about god and if i say lord it's it feels all wrong i want to say father i want to say jesus dear jesus you know i want to feel the closeness of jesus yeah okay you see the question yeah totally i mean there's there's a difference between identity and function and i think there's a difference between obviously a servant and a son in function and identity so i can be a son but i could still serve yeah because my identity hasn't changed but my function at that moment is i am at working the father's heart let's put it that way as a son and but i'm not a servant i'm a son but i am serving a higher purpose let's say and i don't use the word serving and i don't use the word lord very often in that sense i i'm much more thinking about relationship a father son and jesus only did what he saw the father doing and he you know and he he described coming to serve and not be served but that was people you know he came to to bless people he wasn't primarily coming that they would acknowledge that he was this great king and they'd all bow down to him and that's not his purpose he came to demonstrate a different side of god in the sense of the relational and he outworked that relationally i'm in the father the father's in me there was no separation there was no well i'm just a servant while i'm on here on earth because and god's up there separated from me they were never separated there was continual relationship and therefore but there was function jesus was functioning in certain things which was out working the father's heart while he was here it never meant he wasn't a son and the value of a son is is not proportional to the functions that we have because we all have different destinies to fulfill yeah and we may have different things that some people look at some people think wow what an amazing sun and then someone looks at someone else and thinks are they even a son but that person may be doing the very thing that is there out working of their destiny and sonship and the other person although on the appearance looks like they're doing amazing things maybe not fulfilling their destiny at all and just doing their own thing looking for public recognition you know so i think we've got to be careful to look at the motive of the heart and the terminology can be unhelpful so yes but in in the process of maturing generally you learn to do all sorts of stuff so put it this way let's say let's say my dad was the owner of a huge businessman corporate business empire okay and he wanted he wasn't he was a builder but you know just for sake of saying if he wanted to help me understand because he wanted to give me the inheritance when he retired of that whole corporation he would have to train me to understand the business now what he should be doing is actually set looking at me and saying is his destiny to run this business not assuming that i'm going to take over the business because he wants to keep it in the family and i will take over it that's the first mistake that people have god has created us and he knows who he has created us and what our destiny is within that so he's never going to ask us to do things which is outside of that but going back to the analogy let's say my destiny was to take over the business what's the best way for my father to show me how this all works well to get me operating in every area of the business so i might be the t-boy to start with working within the business making the teas and coffees in the office or whatever on the shop floor whatever the business is so i learn to see the grassroots of how this works then i might learn how the marketing works or i might learn how the legal side of it works or i might learn how the production side of it works or you said i mean so along the way i might be doing lots of different jobs and as the potential heir of the company quite menial jobs from the air of the company in the boardroom of the chair looking down and look but that's only some person's perspective from my father's perspective this is the training i need to be able to run the company one day so we shouldn't be just looking at the externals of what someone's doing and making a judgment on what is more valuable or more important and i would never be used i don't use the word serving god i use the term i am cooperating in god's purposes to outwork my destiny in relationship with him which is a different way of looking at it so my i'm a relationally i am in a sense only wanting to do what the father-son is therefore i need to know the father's heart and i can outwork that through who i am and my identity and i will do that differently than other people will probably do it but i'm i am content in that relationship knowing that as i mature he may give me other things to do in the future that may seem very different from what i'm doing right now and that's all good but i'm not trying to serve him to get something from him so the motive of my heart is the important issue in it if i'm fearful of him so i want to keep on his right side by serving him being obedient to him because i wouldn't use that word either because that that word carries with it a well you have to do what he says or else yeah do i want to outwork his heart absolutely i do and so you know am i trying to please him to keep him happy with me i'm realizing he's always happy with me yeah because he always loves me he's always smiling his countenance is always there and if i do something in a way which is not 100 perfect i know that he will only want me to learn from that in the future there is no punishment there is no judgment there is no negativity to it because i know my dad he's a good dad you know so i'm not trying to please him out of fear or obesions i am wanting to have a relationship in which we are out working his heart in cooperation so yeah you know that that's how i see it the more we know who we are the easier it is to do whatever his heart is you know and without doing it because i'm afraid if i don't get it right i'm going to be punished disciplined or something else is going to happen or something bad will happen there's no fear there's no guilt there's no condemnation no shame involved in the process of maturing if i don't know something or i'm doing something wrong or inappropriately i want him to show me because i wouldn't want to do that i'm not doing it deliberately but i'm probably doing stuff right now that maybe things aren't the way i would do them in five years time that's okay because i'm on a journey of discovering an enlightenment and i don't have to be concerned but i'm not a slave or a servant or a steward although i may function as a steward at times yeah and i may serve others in a function and it might appear that i'm serving god but that's not how i would use term term here i would i'm collaborating with god all the time i want to know his heart and of course i want to outwork that in the ways that he's destined me to do that but it's very much creative and not legalistic or in any way confining or restraining he really wants me to be free to be who he made me to be and gives me the leeway to learn how to do that and i get to do all sorts of stuff on that journey and in that process without ever feeling that lessens my value or worth because of what i'm doing is less valuable or worthy than what other people are doing because i'm never going to compare myself with anybody else you know and i think that's the part of the key i don't really care what other people think of my role that's not my responsibility what they think i'm just interested in fulfilling who i am in relationship with the father you know as a son you know and if they see me as a servant that's fine i don't care they see me as a steward that's fine they see me as a king that's fine it's irrelevant what they think i'm just interested in what the father thinks and the father loves me you know so what he thinks is always good you know towards me but i can learn you know i can learn um in my maturing process because i'm learning more about him yeah it changes how we approach the father or jesus as well doesn't it i mean it's very different approach like that son in the company that you talked about you know although he he maybe works in very simple ways serving others and so on cleaning almost ever when he comes to the father i mean he approaches the father like a son absolutely lives in the same house and then they talk in his father's son you know and it was business talk and they probably have fun together and they probably do things together which is not just business related it's life enjoyment related and absolutely i am never going to approach god as as a oh i am your humble servant yeah i am yes gonna humble myself under the mighty hand of god and have a humble heart which just says i am who you made me to be exactly whatever that is and if other people don't like that that's their problem i know i can talk to the father and i think i can give father a hug you know i mean it's i don't have to say oh here i come oh you you are so great and you know i come and worship i can just go and i can just give him a hug he knows how i feel about him i don't have to keep telling him you know it's insecure people who need people to tell him how good they are all the time god knows who he is he doesn't need me to remind him but sometimes i do get that sense of or and sometimes i would fall on my face and just oh you're so wonderful and thank you for who you are and the blessing you brought i mean sometimes i feel that way because i'm grateful yeah sometimes i feel gratitude and i will share that but that in no way diminishes my ability to sit on his lap and be hugged you know but sometimes i do you know but more and more often are not the intimacy is where i live you know and i don't have to that's not about proving anything to anybody else or to god he wants me to be secure in who i am in him you know that's what all this in relationship with him which is beautiful it is a beautiful relationship a freeing relationship no joyful relationship i can rejoice in that relationship you know um no because i don't get my identity from what i'm doing my doing is a result of my identity and as long as we've got it that way around then we won't get drawn into the servant sort of mentality you know of god is so far from me that i'm you know i'll never get to meet god because he's god well no he's my dad primarily he's my dad you know thank you okay i need to leave it there so have a good rest of your day keep safe and i'll
