[Music] hello and welcome to team edge cooking I'm the Barefoot Contessa I actually don't know who that is but today we were doing a cooking video and this professional cook is here or chef whatever you like to call them I like cooking is going to be judging and I'm gonna win because I am a cook if you don't know who this is this is the world-famous chef Erin follow him on instagram right over there is the really world famous is there anybody outside of this country that knows of you yeah so you guys have 30 minutes you're gonna have a market basket of ingredients from those ingredients you each need to make one plate easy your plates will be judged on quality presentation and appearances my first cooking ingredient is going to be my dog yeah be like Gordon Ramsay without the cussing oh okay talking about we're gonna judge you on plating on presentation and taste so waiting what does that mean no no tell if he doesn't know you don't know either of course I do no all right so I'm gonna go through my ingredients here that are in my ripped apart bag that I ripped apart personally what does this a russet gold potato kumquat see how smart I am dude I know that's a russet gold yellow squash half-and-half a bit of salami it looks like blue cheese blue cheese crumbles ooh some corn oh man I'm so screwed I got chicopee's taking crackers chicopee's he's got worse things you know de Mayo choux dough for shoot it up or shut up shut up cottage cheese oh man I got better ingredients and a whole nice amount it is bell pepper vinaigrette what this guy's in trouble carrots I don't know what I'm gonna do with any of this this is gonna be a long video no dude I got it I already so do I just start we're on a team if we win DK I'm taking you to lunch does all this produce impress people but I'm worried of a company finger chef Aaron I just don't let you know that I am worried about your health and I am gonna watch my fruit you know they're vegetables so yes I'll let corn you know how to shuck corn is a grass-fed bell pepper so don't worry folks Jimmy shucks corn and I don't care man I've seen someone do this before precision cutting a perfect circle Aaron just want to show you this that could be fancy you know you want drink of water yeah sure [Music] this cutting was too small I can't work with these tools chuckles oh why did I put the corn in there at the same time idiot dude Aaron you're gonna want to hire me for your pen when you do see what you got we're moving all this excess stuff it looks like that was it the gizzards yeah the gizzards of a bell pepper pepper gizzards I'm gonna throw some B cheese in here that's not but cheese that's blue cheese it's gonna melt a little bit or it'll just burn I'm gonna turn that off because it's young 18 I've been watching this creation I'm gonna cut this up then you do it from a pine and cottage cheese in a bell pepper all right just one slice is the water will do it yeah it's all part of the plating see like a seagull just screw over in oh yeah the reason look at that color Oh Oh many of you were wondering why did I chop those carrots up earlier you still got about 27 more minutes Brian oh I'm not doing the rest of the time you'll see about to create a Joey's looking for an oasis right here you know he's just melting stuff right now cooking stuff look at that blue cheese over there through that looks delicious it's all I ever think they're colored oh are you a little biased in your you put Oh actually the cottage cheese in a bell pepper have you ever had that my mother may have cooked for me for the past 26 years but I'm not doing too bad all right I'm gonna throw this salami on top oh yeah he's obviously impressing Aaron he's cooking you're not I have nothing to cook he's got stuff to cook oh you guys you got vegetables bro haven't you ever cook vegetables I don't events yeah here we go that's genius except I didn't put any oil on it that's not genius Oh watch out now oh my dude good popcorn - points right there I'm not gonna lie I'm impressed with myself which is something I find myself saying often I need my plate and you start presenting my stuff did you ever even cooked anything what am i okay fine I'm gonna start cooking stuff is that gonna impress you I'm not time you got it did I apologize okay Joey's winning in my book right now over I've ever had warm crackers he's just melting stuff right now you're gonna love it no he's just a nice little warm bake feel you know like fresh out of the oven do you guys that try and get like throw its crackers [Music] all right she's melted it's going off so we can solidify and I can peel it off and put it over my bed of carbohydrates of some more some more cheese yes yes you don't scare me that smells good Brian's trying to convince people that his food smells good mine did that one cracker day is way better I'm just telling you right now let me try Pauling get your warm one yeah man I am I'm making a dish right here y'all I'm almost ready seasoning and I need some herbs though that's what I was thinking but I don't move he's making bacon Oh Brian Oh everybody was laughing and saying he don't like ever dude I marinated him water oh never I mean mouths are watering right now mine is I know that little dash of salt I mean I'm not hurting that bad that's not bad you're saying I'm not cooking anything what do you mean I'm coming they're just heating it up I'd really think there was no purpose in putting the crackers in the skillet yep that's pepper okay I'm going to go through the fingers now I'm putting the butter that's been melted in choux dough into this pan that's not even that are a scenario we're cooking with the essence of butter like Jane yes why you lame doing all the things that other brothers are you ready for your consult yet uh yeah with my console what should i do is I happen but I would do is I would put this back on the burner and try and get a little bit more of a crust so it needs to harden a yeah just let it kind of crisp up oh whoa I'm like hi yeah and put maybe drizzle a little olive oil around the perimeter okay I got you and that'll make it free up my shoe oh gosh I put too much like warm crackers we're good you go that'll be your sauce this is my center piece right here I really go around it it wasn't open okay you ready for your console I'm ready for my contract so that we got going so I'm cooking my carrots in butter okay play with meat meat flavor butter yeah my plan is I'm gonna surround the center piece here with some prosciutto with some carrots without your crackers crackers are gonna be right here so that yeah all right and then when you're done with the dip just enough to eat it yeah there you go make sure it's seasoned so it tastes good okay cuz I gotta eat this what I didn't go so well I made a madman all right kind of making some solids here you know I'm saying just keep coming back to cut carrots huh I thought I was done with them but they're just there oh just listen to that just listen to that this is over look at this thing oh yeah let's get it closed up more little maybe a little happy like this I'm getting excited now Bryant's looking better than it was I want that shiny white plate right oh mama there goes that man I am plating Oh miss the plate the moment of truth just get a close-up of that ha ha ha ha I mean I just got goose bumps I might have a future as a cook I am a cook I mean forget about it I'm just gonna leave now all right I'm gonna put a little butter so you properly put away a dirty paper towel all right ladies and gentlemen just a recap I have russet gold potato sauteed in olive oil with a little corn in a creamed corn half-and-half little mixture here made in these thingies corn cobs and I put some salt and pepper on it and I have a blue cheese patty crust with some salami in it some salt and pepper and a slab of butter on top because who doesn't love butter you know and some green stuff there whatever that is I'm actually impressed with both yeah it looks good it looks good Brian but I don't think the tissues you're interrupting my process oh now Aaron the final touch [Music] I wanted to create a centerpiece you know when you want to go to a party you want to present something like where everybody can gather around sure you know so now it's like we have a beautiful bell pepper stuffed with cottage cheese and there's a little surprise in there a little carrot bits mm-hmm planted a little tree in there here is the Tree of Life as you would say you know where again this is where the start of friendships happens you're around this plate let's do it got a little pepper and salt in there for those that like a little you know spice to it beautifully diced up carrots beautifully diced Wow stick your Sun marinated in butter butter I mean like about a pound of butter butter butter what is it prosciutto or shut up oh shoot oh shoot oh shoot oh shoot up or shut up shut up that has been marinated for about three hours in butter there's a time-lapse of it somewhere I'm feeling good confident but I mean so I would like to taste yours I would like to say Oh mine's more of like a of course like a meal yours is like a poopoo platter in more than one way yours actually looks like poopoo here's good five four three two one hands off oh so bright maybe you can show us how you want us to eat this dish so it really depends on how you want to go at it right you know if you feel like it having a little bit of cracker with mmm you said show me how to eat this it's however you want to eat it you know I'm sorry I'm sorry there what on that plate can you here's what I would do right I would make this maybe mix it in with low maybe take a little of this tried to shoot see this is where Brian failed this is like a buffet it's custom you can make whatever you want this wasn't part of the the actual like view of he's interrupting you just letting you know there it is that's how I would eat it why don't you try that Brian let me know how it tastes and you just demoralize me I actually kind of want that no way to make you one yeah I'll take one of them to make yours so basically he just made a meal out of brands meal do that is that looks nice for the deciding vote there's a hint of love and a little dash of stop I don't want to take your love all right here goes nothing the juice is just like he's not that impressed no look at that dang you really doesn't look impressed it's good I gotta try this one first before I could say it's great though I don't know how are we gonna eat this one with a fork alright and a knife this is actually yeah like a normal plate where somebody that made it actually knows this is a low-calorie dish I'm assuming right I know oh no hot and blue do you like blue cheese yeah maybe a little heavy on the blue cheese and the salt yeah but all in all man that is that's a good dish plate presentation actually well sometimes I prefer Brian's it's got a little bit more color a little more vibrancy with the orange with the crackers with the meat everything looks bright Jay Fred's here is a little bit more yeah a little a little more muted out you know a little greasy but it still looks good I mean you know very good flavor J Fred pulls it on flavor though oh that blue cheese that crispy blue cheese man that's a hard skill that's a chef's skill right there to go that crisp mhm I'm gonna have to give this one to [Music] J friend for the simple fact that he cooked a lot of this stuff where yours like you heated it you heated it you are and you put it in a bowl so you need nothing with the oil ingredients together but what would you cook besides the carrots no you have to put stuff together no like combine things not just like warm um and throw them on a plate right behind he made a dish that's all ones this I was I was hesitant at first it was good now if I would have presented it like how you did it by if you would have made like six crackers a nice long plate so that we could have just grabbed it and ate it like something you can keep going out mine's like three bites yeah
