got chicken got an air fryer i got you today i've got 15 of my favorite airfryer chicken recipes plus i have three important hacks to help you get air fryer chicken right every single time hey there my name is kathy and on this channel i help people actually use their air fryer today's recipes are awesome for the summer time because you don't even have to turn on your oven plus most of them can be cooked up in less than 30 minutes by the way i have these and about 50 other recipes in my airfryer ebook you can learn more about that at yummyairfryerrecipes.com are you ready let's go hack number one for juicy tender chicken breasts first you're going to want to pound down the thicker end of each chicken breast this is going to ensure your chicken cooks evenly so it's the same thickness throughout next pat down your chicken with a paper towel and then we're going to spray the chicken with some oil next it's time to season your chicken breasts use any dry rub or your favorite chicken seasoning today i'm using a simple seasoning mix with one teaspoon of salt three quarter teaspoons of garlic powder three quarter teaspoons of onion powder a half teaspoon of dried parsley and a half teaspoon of smoked paprika and a pinch of cayenne pepper and then you're gonna sprinkle it all over your chicken and just massage it in then just place your chicken right in the airfryer basket now since we've already put oil on the chicken we don't need to spray our basket you'll just want to make sure you place them in a single layer and your chicken's not overlapping and today i'm going to cook my chicken at 380 for 8 to 10 minutes now here's the important tack number two if you don't do this you can easily overcook your chicken which results in dry stringy chicken in order to keep this from happening use an instant reed digital meat thermometer these are pretty cheap too you can usually get them for around 20 bucks and they will tell you the temperature of the meat immediately this is very important because each air fryer cook slightly differently and the size and thickness of your chicken is going to vary with each meal this means your cooking time won't always be the same that's why the instant rate thermometer is so important stop the airfryer after four minutes then flip your chicken and you're gonna cook it another four minutes we all know that the safe internal temperature is 165 degrees right however here is hack number three pull the chicken out of the airfryer when it's 10 degrees undercooked yes undercooked then put your chicken on a plate and immediately cover it tightly with foil you're gonna let it rest for five to ten minutes and this is because the chicken will continue to cook and reach that 165 degrees and you are good to go you're gonna love this all in one basket air fryer and veggie dinner here i've got just over a pound of chicken tenders if you're using chicken breast just cut them into some slices and then this delicious marinade it's just a quarter cup of avocado oil three cloves of garlic minced and then a tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce and now it's time for the honey you know i love to use my scale you'll need a total of three tablespoons that's about 63 grams of honey be patient and squeeze that out then whisk it all together then get your chicken and toss it in the bowl with the marinade and you can let that sit while you chop up some veggies and the veggies i'm using today is some broccoli and i am quick and lazy about my chopping process it doesn't have to be pretty here folks just make them bite size and then i have some mini red potatoes and i'm just cutting them in half if you have larger red potatoes just cut them so they're about an inch cubed i think green beans or zucchini would also be delicious with this meal then just pop all the veggies into the airfryer and then mist it with some oil i just poured on a tablespoon or two and stirred it all up excuse my messy kitchen here then i threw on some salt and pepper and then i'm just going to lay the chicken right on top of the veggies and then drizzle all the rest of the glaze right over the top of all of that and then we're going to pop in the air fryer at 350 for 14 minutes here we go at seven minutes is my little reminder here to flip that chicken pop it back in i love how it just starts right back up for me and here we go 14 minutes later chicken is perfectly done i'm going to set this in foil and let it rest and while it rests i'm going to finish cooking up my veggies and this is where you just test one out and see how tender it is and decide how much longer you want and i decided to go 350 for about 10 more minutes and here we go i probably did cook that a little too long my broccoli is pretty crunchy but my kids actually really liked it start out with one and a half pounds of chicken just add in a half teaspoon of salt a teaspoon of pepper one teaspoon paprika one teaspoon of onion powder a teaspoon of cumin and a pinch of cayenne pepper add more if you like more heat close up your bag and give it a good shake throw your chicken in mix it around so it's nice and coated everywhere then spray your basket and plop the chicken in i spray the tops of my chicken with some avocado oil and then i'm cooking it at 360 for six minutes while that bakes we are gonna make some avocado sauce add a third cup of plain greek yogurt and then scoop out half of an avocado i just cut that up a little bit one tablespoon of lemon juice a half teaspoon of garlic powder and i just gave it a little shake of salt and pepper and then i used my immersion blender to mix it all up the sauce is so good and it complements the chicken so nicely you could even double it if you want to here's the chicken not quite done yet i'm flipping them and i'm cooking them at 260 for just about two more minutes and there it is 155 degrees exactly what i wanted i'm gonna put it in some foil cover it and let it rest and finish up cooking again super awesome easy clean up then when your chicken is ready enjoy it with this avocado sauce you can dip it or spread it over the top of your chicken it is so delicious and this next recipe is amazing for chicken street tacos first we've got some seasoning start with two teaspoons of chili powder a teaspoon of cumin a teaspoon of garlic powder a teaspoon of salt a half teaspoon of pepper and just a pinch of cayenne pepper mix that up and then you need two pounds of boneless skinless chicken thighs pat them dry and then massage about two teaspoons of avocado oil all over the chicken this is just gonna help hold the spices onto the chicken you can trim these if you want to then i just dip each chicken thigh right there in my bowl of spices that way each piece of chicken is evenly coated next pop out your air fryer cook these up at 400 for 12 minutes then pull them out and set them in some foil to rest you can enjoy these on tacos or in salad or all by themselves so good and so easy air fryer chicken fajitas these are so easy all you need is about a pound of chicken i find it's a lot easier to slice up the chicken when it's just starting to thaw so cut that up and then you need a bag of frozen veggies that's right now you can do fresh if you want but hey i'm all about easy you know so just pour some oil in there and stir it around to coat all of the veggies and chicken you can do it right there in your airfryer basket or just do it in a separate bowl and then just throw in a packet of fajita seasoning and stir that around you could totally do a homemade blend if you want but like i said i'm going easy tonight and then pop it in your air fryer now since i'm using frozen it's going to be a little bit longer and i'm going to start out at a little bit lower temperature so i'm going to do 360 for eight minutes and you can see it's looking lovely but obviously still needs some time i'm gonna give it a stir and then throw it in for five more minutes at 380. now check it out it looks done i'd love to use my instant rate thermometer to just double check on the doneness i decided to give it three more minutes at 390 and there you go but a bing bada boom top this on rice and have fajita bowls or just do cute little street tacos the family loved this dinner we are making some frozen chicken wings in the air fryer so i just have this big old bag from costco and you know what you guys i just eyeball it and dumped a bunch in there it's okay here in the beginning if it's crammed with your frozen chicken wings because they're gonna shrink as they cook and i'm not even gonna spray them because they're full of fat so this first set we're going to do 10 minutes at 350 degrees that is going to thaw out the wings now you can see they are all thawed out and i'm going to just place them in the basket here a little bit better and i'm going to season just with pepper and some garlic salt i don't have a measurement for you guys just you know wing it do whatever looks good to you i flipped them and put the seasoning on both sides now here in the bottom of the basket is all that water and juices from thawing out the chicken wings i'm gonna go ahead and just dump that out bump it up now to 380 degrees and cook them for 25 minutes here it is about the halfway point they are sizzling already i'm gonna go ahead and just flip those around just so they can crisp up on all sides let that finish cooking they are pretty much cooked i like to give them one more spin and now i just throw on my homemade sweet baby raised barbecue sauce i have a link to that down in the description below and then just turn up your fryer mine goes all the way up to 400 and just cook it for five more minutes and you can see look at that they are caramelized and beautiful my teenage boys devoured these in minutes they are so good and so incredibly easy you guys this is a sheet pan recipe that i adapted for the airfryer this will serve about eight people so you can cut this recipe in half i did cook it up in both of my air fryers so i've got a whole red onion and then you can see this is the size of the squash and zucchini that i used we chopped up those veggies and you'll see that it made about eight cups then we added four cups of chopped broccoli to it and now it's time to make the marinade i've got three tablespoons of avocado oil you could use olive oil as well a third cup of balsamic vinegar one to two tablespoons of honey i'm lazy and i eyeballed it here a teaspoon of dried basil half teaspoon of dried oregano a teaspoon of kosher salt and a half teaspoon of pepper just whisk that up then i chopped up about a pound and a half of boneless skinless chicken breasts and i'm adding that to all my veggies i've got a big bowl now so i have room to stir it up then i just poured my marinade right over the top and gave it a nice big stir you'll notice my backdrop is different just fyi we were doing a photo shoot at the same time so i had to pull out my props just stir that marinade in you'll definitely want that big bowl if you're doing the whole recipe and then give it some time to marinate if you can it just makes the taste even more amazing you'll see i have about 10 cups of chicken and veggies here so i used both of my air fryer pans these are both nine by nine wide and i had four to five cups in each and i just dumped it right there in the basket you'll see not much glaze was wasted spread it out evenly and then we're gonna start it at 370 for 10 minutes while that was cooking i went ahead and sliced up a bunch of grape or cherry tomatoes here we go after 10 minutes you can see it's almost done but not quite so at this point i decided i was going to crank up the heat i went to 400 for five minutes more and at that point it was perfectly done if you want your veggies more tender you can cook it for a little bit longer but this was just like the perfect tender for us when it's done cooking drop in your fresh tomatoes and give it a stir you can serve this right out of the pan or pour it in a separate bowl you guys this one is such a crowd pleaser you could serve it over rice or pasta or eat it all by itself it is so delicious tonight we're having chicken parmesan i've just got some flour mixed up egg and then i've got about a half cup to a cup of panko bread crumbs and some fresh permanent cheese i'm going to add in a teaspoon of onion powder and a teaspoon of garlic powder and whisk that up and then i decided i wanted some italian seasoning in there too now you can use chicken breasts for this i'm using chicken tenders no matter what you do you do want them slightly thinner i like to use my meat pounder right here and i found to pound it in between the parchment paper makes it a lot less messy then just sprinkle on some salt and pepper be sure to grab that on both sides and then spray your basket and here's your little assembly line first flour up your chicken drop it in the egg wash drop it in your cheese mixture and place it in your air fryer i could get four chicken tenders in my air fryer and then just spritz the top pop it in the air fryer i'm doing 350 for eight minutes and a half way through flip them spray the tops and let it finish cooking now you'll see it's just about to 165 and here's a tip if you want to keep things a little cleaner there is some parchment paper with little holes in it that will allow the circulation but keep the bottom of your pan clean sometimes i use it go ahead and put on some spaghetti sauce or marinara sauce and then i happen to have some mozzarella cheese slices usually i just do shredded mozzarella which is a little messier then you're going to just pop that in your air fryer crank it up to 380 and cook it for two to three minutes more and that's just gonna melt the cheese such a quick and easy dinner idea this recipe is meant for grilled chicken but i am adapting it for the air fryer so starting out with a tablespoon of melted butter and i'm adding 42 grams or two tablespoons of honey and then two tablespoons of dijon mustard or 30 grams a half tablespoon of olive oil and then a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice i just used my bottled lemon juice throw in a little salt and pepper and then mix that up just like we did for the salmon and the shrimp we're gonna set some of the glaze aside and then i have my two chicken breasts they're about six ounces each i'm just gonna pound it down so i can even out the thickness that way it will cook a little more evenly doing it right in between parchment paper makes it a little bit less messy next just brush the glaze on both sides of the chicken chicken varies because of the thickness so i'm gonna start at 380 for eight minutes and check and see how it's going here it is after five minutes and you can see it still has some cooking to do i decided to flip it a little bit earlier and i increased the time to six minutes here so i ended up at about 11 minutes at 380 because these are a little bit thicker and here they are hitting just about 160 if i let them rest they can finish cooking up grab that remaining glaze and pour it over the chicken and oh my goodness and next we are going to roast an entire chicken this is incredibly easy and will instantly save you money because you can usually get these whole young chickens for 99 cents a pound i bought myself a four and a half four to three quarter pound chicken and seriously it's five little steps and you will have this amazing chicken already yes it will fit in your 5.8 quart air fryer so the first step i'm gonna do is get all of my seasonings ready this is the blend that i'm gonna use today but you can use any poultry blend or spice mix that you love i use a teaspoon of rosemary a teaspoon of oregano a teaspoon of pepper a half teaspoon of thyme a half teaspoon of sage a half teaspoon of ground mustard a half teaspoon of garlic powder a half teaspoon of onion powder a quarter teaspoon of basil and then one and a half teaspoons of kosher salt mix it all together and set it aside next i like to set aside just one to two teaspoons of oil it really doesn't take much again i'm using avocado oil today just because that's my favorite you do what you want to do then it's time to preheat your air fryer it's only five minutes at 400 i'll just push the button online while the air fryer is preheating just remove the packaging from your chicken pat your chicken nice and dry with paper towels that you can easily discard next get that little teaspoon or two of oil and massage it all over your chicken the oil is going to help the seasoning adhere to the chicken and it's going to help it get nice and crispy then it's time to grab your seasoning and just rub it in now first i'm always nervous that i'm not going to have enough seasoning to go on my chicken but i promise you it's enough put it on both sides get the cracks and crevices if you have enough seasoning you can even put it under the skin if you want to go there then it's time to just open up your airfryer basket and you're going to place the chicken right inside you want to put the breast side down we're going to cook it that way first if we left it breast side up the entire time the top would burn now you can see with my chicken that i didn't have any issues with the legs or wings sticking up if you do you can definitely use some twine to twine those legs down and together but that's totally optional then we're gonna just close that up and cook it at 350 degrees for 40 minutes and here it is after 40 minutes look how beautiful it is it's already starting to smell terrific i just like to get my silicone tongs and pop it in the cavity there and flip it over it's a little awkward but you can do it i believe in you we're gonna finish up the cooking and brown the breast side of the chicken and it's gonna be delicious if you have a smaller bird you might only need to cook for about 15 minutes more since mine is a little bit larger i'm going to go with 25 minutes and this is where that instant-read thermometer comes in so wonderfully because you just use it and take the temperature of the breast and you can even check the drumsticks and thigh area you just want them to get to at least 165 degrees or until the juices are running clear when it's done just use some tongs pull it right out of the basket and i like to set it on foil and tent it and let it rest for about 10 minutes check it out look at all the drippings that are in the bottom of your basket you could use this for gravy if you want to clean up as a breeze just make sure you discard that oil in a safe place wipe it out with paper towel and then i wash the basket in hot soapy water and check it out look how juicy and amazing this chicken looks and it's so exciting because this was so easy to do how about homemade baked chicken taquitos now if you've got some leftover chicken this is perfect i'm gonna just use the rest of my chicken tenders i'm throwing them in the instant pot with about a cup of water a little salt and pepper and because they're smaller chicken tenders i'm just cooking them on high pressure for 20 minutes and they are done and super easy to just chop up meanwhile in a bowl i had three ounces of cream cheese softening and i added a quarter cup of green salsa one tablespoon of lime juice a teaspoon of chili powder a half teaspoon of cumin half teaspoon of onion powder quarter teaspoon of garlic powder three tablespoons of chopped cilantro and two tablespoons of chopped green onions go ahead and mix that up and then add in your chicken let me know do you love store-bought taquitos or are you willing to do a little bit more work for some homemade ones because they are so good then here's a little speed hack just lay out your tortillas on a clean surface and use that good old cookie scoop to plop some filling in the middle then yeah i use my fingers spread it out a little roll it up nice and tight i'm gonna give each little tortilla a squirt of oil and then i'm gonna glue the tortillas shut place them in your air fryer basket i was able to fit six in there and then spray the tops real quick and then these are going to cook for five minutes at 380 and then i'm gonna flip them around while they're cooking i've got all this extra mixture i'm gonna just save it and we can use them for lunches this week the kids can make these on their own they're so easy here they are give them a flip another little squirt and looks like these just needed about a few more minutes you can also freeze these and enjoy them later crunchy chicken nuggets that require zero oil and they happen to be gluten-free you are going to love these first start with a pound of chicken cut this recipe in half if you don't need quite as much all you're going to do is chop it up into little bite-sized pieces just try to get them in even sizes and if you want you could make them even smaller than i did you'll just shorten the cooking time a little bit give your chicken a quick wash and then here's an important part you'll want to pat the chicken dry this is one important step for ultra crispy chicken then we're gonna mix up some coconut milk and pickle juice and no this will not make your chicken taste like coconut don't worry about that you'll need one to one and a half cups of coconut milk and then about a half tablespoon of pickle juice just stir that up together and set it aside next gather up your spices you'll just need one teaspoon of each i've got garlic powder onion powder and some paprika you could even do smoked paprika if you have it then add in a half teaspoon of black pepper and if you want you can add a quarter teaspoon of salt and then anywhere from a pinch to no more than a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper if you want some heat now don't worry about scrambling and writing everything down i have the entire recipe listed for you down in the video notes below plus this recipe is included in my airfryer recipe book you can find that at yummyairfryerrecipes.com now it's time for the crispy part dump about five to six cups of corn flakes in a ziploc bag or a food processor and you're gonna crush that up now you can use any brand of corn flakes this is where your gluten-free option comes in and once that's all crushed go ahead and drop your seasonings right in the bag and give it a good old shake and then dump it out onto a large plate or a big old bowl and then just get about a half to one cup of cornstarch that is going to be step one of your station so now it's time to coat the chicken pieces just drop some chicken in that starch and toss it around and then you're going to dunk it right into your coconut milk mixture and then just toss it into your cornflake mixture and then you're just going to repeat the process drop those back into the cornstarch back into the coconut milk back into the cornflake mixture i usually do about five or six pieces of chicken at a time and yes it's a bit messy but come on it's so worth it now set those pieces in a single layer in your air fryer basket and psych you do not need oil leave that in your cabinet there is no oil in this recipe pop it in the air fryer set your temperature to 400 and set the timer for eight minutes now i got the newer model of the kasori and it's got this cute little button that i can press to remind me to shake or turn my food at the halfway point and here we go oh they're looking good just give them a flip now i'm a mother of eight and my fingers have been conditioned to handle high heat so i'm going to just flip them with my fingers you can use silicone tongs instead then pop this back in look my air fryer starts all by itself well let's take a look oh yes and they look so beautiful there is another amazing all-in-one basket dinner idea that's so easy start with two small chicken breasts and cut them into bite-sized pieces an onion cut into slices one or two small zucchinis and my favorite part mushrooms cut into quarters a teaspoon of ground ginger a quarter teaspoon of pepper and a tablespoon of garlic powder you know i love my garlic then pour in a quarter cup of soy sauce and about one to two tablespoons of oil give that a good stir and then just pop it right into your air fryer level it out and oh you know it we're gonna cook it up at 380 for about 20 minutes while that's cooking i'm going to make the yum yum sauce it's a cup of mayonnaise i'm just eyeballing it here a teaspoon of tomato paste or ketchup and then the seasonings are a half teaspoon of garlic powder one teaspoon of sugar and a quarter teaspoon of paprika then add in a tablespoon of melted butter and guess what you guys i forgot to add a quarter cup of water to this so it should be runnier but it's okay this still tasted fantastic here we are at the halfway point and oh my goodness it is looking really nice and let's pull out the instant rate thermometer and see how that chicken's doing and you know what it's looking good so i don't think it needs 10 more minutes i'm going to reduce the time down to five more minutes and we'll check on it and look at this it's looking fantastic forget kfc my friends you've got to try these out today i've got two and a half pounds of chicken tenders it's about 14 tenders here in my bowl and because i have so many i'm going to double this recipe then i need some buttermilk i'm going to use a cup but the recipe calls for a half cup then i'm going to just add that to my chicken and let that sit and marinade for about 30 minutes start with a half cup of flour and a half cup of panko then add a teaspoon of paprika a half teaspoon of celery seed half teaspoon of ground ginger a half teaspoon of salt a half teaspoon of pepper a quarter teaspoon of oregano a quarter teaspoon of thyme a quarter teaspoon of garlic powder and a quarter teaspoon of baking powder and lastly an eighth a teaspoon or a pinch of cayenne pepper do more if you want more feet and just give those a whisk pull the chicken out of the buttermilk drip off the excess and plop it down in that bread crumb mixture preheat your air fryer at 400 place the tenders in and give it a spray with some oil cook these up at 370 for 12 minutes i'm pressing my snowflake button so it will remind me to flip these at the halfway point there's my reminder i'm just gonna flip these over real quick i'm gonna spray a little bit more oil just to help crisp up the other side and here we go these are done perfectly they're juicy and crispy and amazing [Music] [Applause] [Music] first things first we're gonna get some buttermilk ready now do i ever have buttermilk on hand no so i always do this simple substitute and since this recipe is calling for one and a half cups of buttermilk i'm just adding one and a half teaspoons of lemon juice to my milk today and then it's time to get your spice mixture ready simply combine a tablespoon of each i've got smoked paprika you can use regular if you can't find smoked black pepper salt onion powder then garlic powder whisk all of that up and set it aside and now that your fake buttermilk is ready add in anywhere from two tablespoons to a quarter cup of hot sauce if you don't want a little kick in your chicken you can leave this part out whisk that all up together and then get a spoon because you're gonna put half of the spice mixture right here into your marinade you call it a marinade call it a brine whatever you want this is what our chicken is gonna soak in and it's gonna make the meat so tender and packed with flavor now that it's ready get two to three pounds of chicken drumsticks or thighs and add it to the brine so eight drumsticks and you can see it's totally overflowing my bowl here although i like to use dishes in this case i'm gonna grab a ziploc bag because i want the chicken to soak evenly and to make things easier i'm using my handy dandy bag holder i'm gonna use tongs and transfer this over and hello no apparently this is not very helpful oh i'm doing great with my coordination today as i look at this bowl and see all of these spices in it i think that putting it in the bag is a better call but because as the chicken is soaking in this bag i can flip it around to redistribute the spices i'm gonna let this soak for at least an hour or two you could even let this soak overnight while that is soaking i'm gonna make my dredge mixture i'm gonna get another clean handy bag holder just add one and a half cups of flour to the bag and then you're gonna add a half cup of cornstarch cornstarch in this mixture is gonna give that extra boost of crisp if you don't have it you can just do two cups of flour total i'm gonna add just a teaspoon of baking powder this is also gonna help crisp up that outer layer drop in the remaining spices close up your bag and mix that up nice and good when that's all shook enough just set it aside it's ready to go now you could make some sides for your dinner or just go put your feet up and binge watch your favorite airfryer channel okay this bag has been resting a couple hours now it's time to start the double dip dredging process [Music] what do you think can i do two at a time i kind of really enjoy saving time just have fun with it does that look appetizing or what all right let's see if i can do three at a time i'm a little lazy in the kitchen there we go all eight shaggy little pieces of my drumsticks time to start the double dip preheat that air fryer keeping up with my pure lazy cooking i'm gonna try and get multiple legs in the bag it's working just fine plenty of room [Music] now it's time to spray your chicken with some avocado oil we usually use my cute little misto can here but this avocado spray from trader joe's sprays pretty heavy there's no propellants or chemicals in here it might look like a lot but it's honestly not much compared to deep frying this chicken just make sure you cut all the flour that's gonna help it adhere to the chicken and get nice and crispy place your chicken in the airfryer preset says 380 for 25 minutes for chicken but i found that it actually needs just about 15 or 16 minutes at 380. you'll want to check it at the halfway point to give it a flip if it needs it and let's take a peek if you see white flour just give it another squirt there and let it finish up cooking and check it out listen to that crispiness it's amazing you've got to see all the different ways you can use your air fryer check out this playlist right here i'll see on the next video
