all right it's that time for my first service on the cybertruck I hear you haters enjoy I hear you Tesla fans I'm not trying to make it look bad it is what it is I I buy the Teslas I make videos about what actually happens with them and this is one so luckily it's not a big deal let me let me just show you I'll I'll start off the video right away showing you the main thing I'm going in for service for now this happened on our road trip in Florida this video is brought to you by joah my choice for premium Tesla and vehicle accessories claim your exclusive discount with the link in the description below so right here you can see this looks awful it's like coming out there it's a just a piece of trim it's really not that big of a deal if we look at the other side for comparison sorry the car is warming up uh you can see that that's that's flush and it's not like sticking out at all so what happened here is right here there's a bolt like attached to this metal piece there's a bolt going in and then there's a a nut that holds that bolt onto a a clip that's attached to this going up here it's all Clips okay as far as I could see anyway well the nut on here ended up coming loose just from shaking from us driving or whatever happened and that whole piece came out and was like flapping in the wind I don't have a video of it unfortunately cuz we were on the highway and we were kind of like trying to find an exit but I do have a picture I can show you from Stephanie's perspective in the driver's seat I could barely see it but from her side I guess it looked pretty ridiculous just flaing around and of course everybody's already taking pictures of you and staring at you and then you got this huge piece of metal I mean it looks like it was coming out pretty far just flapping around in the wind now when that happened I'm pretty sure this piece bent so yeah I can see it here I don't know if it comes across on video but right about here there's a bend in the mdle hopefully you can see that and so you know of course I went through the app and I said to Tesla like you know yo this came off um I need this replac and I honestly was thinking it was going to be like months before they would have this part because cyber truck's brand new they are trying to make cyber trucks they probably going to have a lot of spare parts and it was I think it's been two weeks about uh that's funny but yeah it's been almost exactly 2 weeks since I put in that service to get and they're ready today so I didn't I don't know why why did I do that uh um so I'm going to go get this fixed and this is pretty much it so uh they will but what did I do in the meantime how is this on here now so what I did I wasn't just going to walk around with like a flappy piece drive around with a flappy piece of metal that would be weird it probably would break off eventually I would guess um especially at highway speeds so what I did let me open the bed here and show you is I was going to go to local hardware store but I couldn't find one and there was a Walmart so yes I went to Walmart and I spent a couple bucks and I just got this I didn't know exactly what it was um I talked to uh X from test Bros super nice guy was helping me out with this and he's been working on them already and I actually bought the wrong thing but I just got lucky I thought I was buying this one but it was really this one so this uh little nut here that's it so I screwed that on I was able to just just reach in there and do with my fingers so it's only fingertight I've tightened it one additional time um just fingertight and it has held this whole time and now I'm going to go get it replaced but so yeah nice little Walmart fix for my very expensive cyber truck now I have one more thing and this is my fault it's not Tesla's fault of course this is all wet today when I want to show you but here you go maybe I'll get you a picture of it looking a little better but you can probably see all this is scratched up now I don't really care that much because again it's a truck I'm going to use it for stuff this just got scratched when I was using it and putting stuff in there but I'm just curious how expensive these parts are going to be so I asked Tesla leave your guesses in the comments down below how much it would be to replace it's just a big piece of plastic I mean I feel like I could just rip it off almost leave your guesses down below I'm curious if this is going to be like $300 to replace this piece of plastic or they're going to you know do a nice job for me and and have uh cheap parts like Tesla actually usually does believe it or not and then the last kind of problem we had that I will uh share with you is the truck one time I've shared this already on X uh but the truck one time we came out to it and Stephanie's like hey the front's not opening what's going on and I went to hop in and the it was off the truck was completely off now the button for the door worked so that I'm sure that's low voltage and and that was good but I hopped in the screen was off and I did the scroll wheel reset and it took a little time I was a little like uhoh our cyber truck is bricked it's dead you know of course everybody here it happened to like two people and so now everyone thinks every cyber truck is breaking uh but it reset itself and it had an error message about the brake the parking brake either would or would not disengage and nothing has happened since so it's been good ever since then uh so I'm not going to even mention that to them since that was like weeks ago now I will say the interior like rattles and stuff like that there's zero we've also had I want to compare this really quick before we head off to the service center we had a model X oh wait before we go okay this is almost nothing but see this here how that's not lined up I'm going to ask them to line that up it's just one bolt with a nut and you can loosen it literally just pull it down and then tighten it it'll be perfectly flush so if I wasn't already going in I wouldn't I'd either do it myself or I just wouldn't care but since I'm going in I'm going to have them change that too okay that's it I do want to compare this if youve followed along with us you know to our model X experience in the past the model X was a nightmare it was actually the exact same price as this when we bought it luckily we sold it before they dropped all the prices um but the model X was the exact same price they were both 100,000 um for for both vehicles in the model X we were taking a service like every other month like we owned it for almost a year and it was averaging going into service every other month for something none of the that stuff was like reliability the car never left a stranded or anything but there was always a rattle or the door wouldn't close properly or blah blah blah blah blah so far cyber truck it's like one piece of trim that I was able to mostly fix myself but it needs to be replaced because obviously um it it got bent a lot of people are skeptical about the Tano cover I'm interested how it'll hold up I actually have a good feeling I think to be solid a lot of people are saying like oh in a year it's going to be terrible we'll see so let's get this service all right I had to interject because I filmed this a while ago and I'm just about to post a video and I'm realizing people are going to have questions probably about the accelerator pedal so if you didn't hear uh it's there's a chance that the cover of the accelerator pedal on the Cyber truck can like come off and slip up and then the accelerator pedal can actually get pushed down and Tesla had a stop sale on Cyber trucks for maybe a week maybe a little less than that cyber trucks have started being delivered again it's not an issue I've had and when I was filming this service video it wasn't a thing like nobody had heard of it yet so that's why it's not mentioned in the video at all uh the brake still works so I did show a little video on X where even if your accelerator pedal is to the floor if you touch the brake or use the brake the car will basically disable the motors or reduce the the power to the motors and you can still stop even if your accelerator pedal is pressed now obviously this still needs to be addressed we don't know what vins are affected by this Tesla does need to do the recall and fix whatever um Vehicles need to be fixed but your brake still works to stop the car as it should and it's not an I've had and when I was at service I don't know if Tesla the company even knew about this issue at that point or not but it wasn't mentioned to me I heard nothing about it during the whole video so I'm sure some questions will come up about that but in the context of the video it wasn't a thing on earth yet um and then as of today it's not a thing for me at least all right so I'm here they got the uh cyber truck they said this is the first one they've worked on and they don't think it's going to take long but they really wanted to take their time make sure they do everything right which I appreciate that's great um and I I'm totally fine fine with this is part of early adoptor stuff totally uh good with all that happening and hopefully isn't the way for other people uh but he you know they'll they'll give you a laner if you're going to be here a long time they'll be like yeah just come back you know the next day or about tell me close or something or after we close but they don't expect this to take very long but at the same time since they want to take their time they were like let us give you a laner but just hang out go get some food or something and we'll call you when it's done so they gave me a new model 3 which is actually really cool it's a rear wheel drive I have not driven the rear wheel drive yet did drive the long range uh unfortunately I don't have any of like my filming equipment really like even my microphones I left uh in the cybertruck so I don't have those but um this is really cool like I'm excited to get to play around with this and drive it around and go do whatever um already I like the steering wheel on my cyber truck much better than this but um yeah that's a that's a cool experience so far but I'm excited to see uh the end result of the Cyber Tru when when that's done but in the meantime very happy to get to play with a new uh model 3 all right I know this is about my cyber truck getting fixed and about new model 3 but this is part of the you know Tesla Service experience right hanging out in this thing this thing's freaking awesome it's a really nice car if you haven't test driven one just go online and you can test drive it for free from Tesla sometimes they'll do it over the weekend or overnight um depending on if they have enough for you but anyway the weird thing about this okay number one the steering wheel I think I know why they kept it the buttons are like they're really hard to push these these two are are really weird uh but it is so weird driving this model 3 after coming from the Cyber truck I literally feel like I'm sitting on the floor it is such a weird feeling and all the cars around me are like towering over me they're huge whereas in the Cyber truck usually I'm the one that's either at the same level as them or higher than them uh so it's been a very uh weird experience going from cybertruck to this but yeah I still love this car got to try out the park assist in new model 3 I don't know where it's going it's like pulling way up here are you going to go or okay there we're in reverse got real close to that curb holy moly but all [Music] good this is a big weird parking spot interested if it's going to get close to no that's good steering wheel is a little unsure what to do all right so here we are out right outside of Tesla Service was just under 2 hours which I thought was not bad especially because they give me that laner so I got to go drive around and that was fun and I liked I lik driving that car that was fun so first of all did you guess how much this back trim piece cost let's go check it out let me show it to you so here you go all fixed there's no more damage it was right around here this looks good it's on there solid not moving or anything what do you think I was thinking it would be maybe 100 150 something like that which I thought was a little expensive but you know usually pay $64 to replace this part I realized it's just a piece of plastic but for the service for them to actually work on it I feel like that is an amazing price I was very surprised that's all it was very happy with that price and I've heard that from other places actually the guy I was talking to who's working here he doesn't even own a Tesla I was talking to him a bunch and he said he's worked at many different repair places and Tesla has the best prices he's ever seen so here's this fixed piece here now you can see this is lined up it's not sticking out so that's good and then it's no longer bent which uh to me is very obvious that it's not not bent up there I don't know how well it came across on video that was bent uh but it looks good and then here's this they said that this didn't have a whole lot of play um that there's a bolt here and the rest of it is clips and so you can only move it so much but this looks way better in my opinion and it looked even when I walked out the door and first saw the truck from far away like check this out it looked so much better like from that angle than that little piece sticking up again if I wasn't here I probably would have either done it myself or just left it cuz I don't really care that much uh but yeah let's look at the other side so this one is still sticking up a little bit but as they said you can only adjust it so much maybe I'll play with it myself at home and see if I okay that sounded wrong maybe I will uh adjust this myself at home see if I can get it even a little better than that but again standing back from a distance it looks good interjecting they also took really good care of the Interior here they had some plastic on the seat and then they had the paper on the floor to keep everything clean um you know I don't care for the floor that much but for the seat I thought that was very nice so first cyber truck service experience is an A+
